Having been raised in the AF, I asked why CHIP (military dependent insurance) was handling his daughters problem. WE NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN! If you think something stinks, tell someone. Don't want to hurt your friends feelings? Think how bad they're going to be hurt when they're broke. 😱

Apparently the rank of LC is where they place - and leave perpetually - the most problematic commissioned officers. They would have been promoted to Commander before they retired if they were any good at their jobs. Every Navy vet I've spoken to says the same thing.
