An's are not bad , but I'm afraid once you've seen US locos in the flesh, the Aussie stuff leaves me a bit underwhelmed..LOL. But at leat you get some variety down there! ;-)
I’m surprised to see double stacked trains in Australia. I’ve only seen the amazingly huge American ones doubled up. Is this only on specific routes where there are the bridge tolerances, etc?

Only west of Parkes, NSW, and the if I'm not wrong, the new inland rail from Melbourne to Brisbane

Standard Gauge, 1,435 mm or if you want it in imperial, 4 ft 8 + 1⁄2 in.
