- Looking for the best glass to protect your iPhone 11? For this video, we went and broke products from Zagg, Belkin, BodgyGuardz, JETech, ESR, FLOLAB, $1 dollar screen protectors, Spigen and an un-named prototype. Here’s the power rankings for the Top 5 toughest screen protectors:

2. Belkin InvisGlass Ultra (bought at the Apple Store)
3. BodyGuardz Pure 2 Edge
4. Zagg Glass Defender
5. Airo Defender

Realistically, any double tempered screen protector could be in the #3-5 spots since there was very little difference in terms of drop protection.

For this video, I’m going to focus specifically on impact. The coating on every screen protector wears off after a while which means the device becomes prone to scratches. However, the strength of the glass does not change.

To get these results, we broke all the screen protectors using a 200g steel ball dropped via electro-magnet onto a piece of Quartz. If the screen protector didn’t break, we’d increase the height and find a new spot on the screen protector to test. We did this until we ran out of the brand of screen protector (i.e. if we had three panes of glass, we broke three panes of glass)
At the bottom of the list is this screen protector that I paid one USD dollar for. It broke at 6cm’s which means it’s not even tempered glass. It’s just glass. Which makes since given that the packaging on the box wasn’t even printed. It was just a box. That smelled funny.
Next up was the product from ESR breaking at 33 cm followed by Jetech at 62cm. So between these two budget brands, JetTech was better from an impact protection perspective which means it uses better glass and or has a better tempering process. Within this tempered glass grouping, Rhinoshield had the best glass. Pitaka, whose MagCase Pro is #5 in my Top 10 list included only an average tempered glass screen protector with their product which sucks. And Spigen’s latest screen protectors with the EZ fit applicator tray, broke at the same level as the JETech product. Sad.
Now onto the higher quality products. In general, products in this category are made from Alumino Silicate which means they are doubled tempered. Most of these products broke between 81-93cm. On average, these products cost around $30 dollars. Included in this group was the Zagg Alumino Silicate, BodgyGuardz Pureview, Airo Collective and a bunch of OLD FLOLAB screen protectors I got from last year. I have to point out that I tested a several panes of Thin Fit 360 Glass from Spigen and they performed MUCH better than the new EZ Fit.
Now in the group of the WTF screen protectors included the Belkin InvisiGlass Ultra from the Apple Store which is made from Corning 2 glass. This screen protector broke at 103 cm’s which was crazy to do. Now as a side test, I decided to do the same drop test to my last Cinder screen protector which is one of the very few screen protectors that claims to have used Corning glass and it broke at 100cm.
Now the next screen protector I decided to test was another FLOLAB screen protector. FLOLAB had sent me a set of new screen protectors to use and said they were a little better. These new screen protectors broke at 107 cm’s. Which was surprising.
I shared with them the result and FLOLAB just casually said “O yea, we tweaked the manufacturing process a bit to make our products better”.
Now I do have to add that DESPITE being able to figure out what the toughest glass is, it’s still glass. The ball test against a solid piece of stone was the only way I could consistently test the strength of the glass.
ANY screen protector will still chip on a bad drop. Hybrid glass screen protectors will chip. Full plastic screen protectors will deform. The edges of a tempered glass screen protector are especially susceptible to chipping so keep that in mind. So treat the screen protectors as a consumable.

So I ran a box knife on the screen protector that I buffed and although it didn't scratch, there was a bit more friction on the side that was buffed when compared to the one that wasn't. Thought I'd share.

Thanks so much for the recommendation. I love my FLOLAB screen protector. I tried a cheap Walmart one at first but the edges were sharp and actually would cut my fingers. On top of that, it wasn't really edge to edge and left a space between the case and screen protector that would collect dust. The new FLOLAB screen protector resolved all of these issues. It fits perfectly in my Casetify case removing that dead space around the sides, and the edges are ever so slightly rounded so it feels silky smooth even when swiping up from the sides or bottom. What I do is one of 2 things is 1) I am a car detailer and the liquid screen protectors that cost around 15-25$ that state they have the chemical Sio2 witch is just a form of ceramic coating that is used and becoming the new hot thing in car detailing and you are able to put it on glass. Now a bottle of ceramic coating for a car you can get it for about $15 for up to a 16 ounce bottle. Now that’s the cheaper stuff. As opposed to paying $15-$20 for an ounce for a liquid screen protector. So I use the Liquid ceramic that I use for car detailing and either put a coat right on my phone screen or I put a glass screen protector on my phone then I put a ceramic coating on the glass screen protector. And sometimes I put a ceramic coating over my whole phone and it’s fine just try not to get it near the speaker holes or the charging ports.

Just applied mine to my new iPhone 12 and I have to say that I don’t think I’ll be going to any other screen protector just because of the ease and detail that the screen setup adds. After applying, if you have NO DUST (which they make cleaning quite easy and through) it sits INVISIBLY and flush with the screen! I’m excited to use it as I don’t think my phone has ever looked better, and no worries about smudging! I’d recommend one!

For clarity, if it's a name brand piece of glass, its going to sit between 92-94%. There's 5-6 layers to a screen protector so anybody claiming higher is definitely lying.

Just got mine yesterday and I am very satisfied on it. My original screen got scratches already and after putting Flolab screen protector on my iPhone XR and 11 Pro Max, the scratches disappeared and for that I rate it as 10/10!

Just installed the nanoarmour 3D on my XR, and it’s hands down the most quality protector I’ve ever felt. Installation was easy and the dust stickers were key. If the protection lives up to what you show in the video I will be convinced this is the greatest screen protector available. Shipping was a couple weeks due to coronavirus, but I can’t complain, especially with a lifetime warrantee!

I’ve used two of the Flolab and they work super well! I did end up breaking the first one I had, but it had already been dropped a lot before it finally broke. Because I registered the screen protector, I was able to get another one and only had to pay shipping! They were super quick in getting back to me, and I’m extremely happy again! 😁

Just an idea you could buy replacement screens and apply the screen protector to the replacement screen to see if the screen breaks before the protecter.

I’m a borderline insomniac so I don’t go to bed till the am every night, I’m also a chronic pacer so I rarely sit either, I’m usually walking around & she was always so loyal that she’d follow me around literally all day & night, only laying down when she was completely exhausted & even then, she’d lay wherever I was walking the most & as the night would wear on, she’d get more & more tired till she’d be slowly following barely able to keep her head up anymore making these “grumble noises” (as I called them😅) letting me know “hey, I’m bloody wrecked but I can’t go to bed until you do... so let’s go!!!!” 😂😍 That girl thought loyalty included also being stuck to you like glue, just incase she was needed & you couldn’t get her to stray from that for her whole 11yrs of life for anything, so cute!! 😍😍

I'm disappointed in your recommendation for the Flolab screen protector. They're located in china and the product takes 3 weals to arrive in Canada. You can order express shipping but that costs almost as much as the screen protector. You owe it to your viewers to mention this. The Flolab site is in US dollars and gives the impression that it's based in the US (usually 4-6 days delivery). No where is it mentioned that the product ships form China. I find this deceptive. You give the impression that shipping is from the US now.If I knew this wasn't the case I would have never ordered from them.

Put it this way - Ordered 1 apple and they gave me 2 oranges, when they could just tell me that they don’t have anymore apples before i ordered.

Went to the Apple store and had the Belkin screen protector put my new phone.
I don’t trust a company that instead of telling customers they out of certain items than charged the customer and sent them the wrong products and hoping the customer would be happy and forget about this whole deal.

I bought the flow lab as recommended in this video and I don’t know if is just me but there is a flaw.
The black bars in the top of the cover interfere with ambient light sensor and sometimes i have to increase the bright myself.
did you use the installation tray? If yes, then yours might be defective

I don’t know if this is scientific or even correct, but I feel like it is better to buy 5 cheap China screen protectors for 5$ and just switch if it breaks.

Not to mention a granite block is a much different surface than a glass iPhone screen. If you’re going to say this is what happens on your phone I think you need to use a phone.

Thanks for the tip, Got the FloLabs NanoArmour. After dropping my phone MANY times on hard surfaces I finally got this screen protector to crack, from a height of 2m and with some force (it didn't just fall, grabbed it off the top of my SUV and didn't have a good grip). Iphone 11 glass was 100% AOK though. Got in touch and a replacement was sent out at no cost other than shipping and with ZERO hassle from Jessie and the Customer Service team. A pleasure to deal with. Fully recommend. Oh and installation is a breeze!

This was for glass screen protectors only. I do talk about the Rhinoshield 9H Tempered glass in the middle. The Mous hybrid glass is more of a plastic screen protector with a glass coating.

Flolab NanoArmour is the best screen protector I have ever used! Very tough and the kit to apply it makes getting that perfect application fairly easy. I especially like the large sticker that covers the whole phone for pulling off microscopic dust. Flolab also stands behind their warranties. My wife is a bit accident prone and has cracked her Flowlab screen protector twice and both times, getting a free replacement was painless and simple.

Your reviews are very well done. I purchased a Flolab 3D nanoarmour screen protector for my Iphone 11. I am very happy with the clarity and did not notice any decrease in the sensitivity to touch. In addition to that it came with a lifetime warranty with free replacement if it should break. Flolab's support team is not only helpful but very responsive. I also purchased a Mous 3.0 Limited leather case as a result of your reviews. I think it is the perfect case for someone that wants excellent protection without the bulk while maintaining very functional control buttons and sleek design.

Glad I saw this video before purchasing a screen protector. I don’t regret purchasing a flolab kit at all.
I am very satisfied withe Flolab, after I watched this video, I purchased 2 3D nano for iPhone 11 and for pro max. My wife’s 11 protector got broken after 5 months, probably a huge impact right on the edge, which made cracked. The company offered a free replacement. I am so happy with Flolab, it was a good choice.

Purchased after watching this video! I am not disappointed! Actually this is the strongest feeling and nicest looking screen protector for my iPhone 11pro Max. In the last month I have tried out the spigen Ez fit, Pitaka and zagg .. of all this looks the best because of its edge to edge fit.

Great video. I have a Flolab nanoarmour on my 12 pro max. I really appreciate your "unbiased" content. The install kit for the Flolab is the best I have ever used and makes it so much easier to get a perfect install.
This screen protector extends the whole screen, and fits amazingly well with the apple silicone case. There’s no space between case and screen protector, and it’s amazing in my opinion. If you’re looking for the best as far as clarity, feel and protection I recommend this. Would greatly recommend to everyone with apple original cases.

I’ve recently purchased the Flolab NanoArmour and I have to say I’m impressed so far. It came with a full screen sticker to remove any dust, an alcohol wipe, a micro fibre cloth and smaller stickers to remove any ‘missed’ particles once the shield was in place. The applicator made it easy to align and it feels great too.
I purchased the FloLab screen protector based off this review! I broke my last phone's screen and needed an upgrade. I didn't want to break my new phones screen too and I'm happy so far with the way the FloLab protector feels & the installation was easy too.

So I bought a Flolab screen protector and I had an unfortunate situation with the product. I reached out to Flolab and received some of the dopest customer service I've received in a very long time. The product itself is actually quite excellent if I may be honest. This damn thing is so hard to scratch and to get dirty! I give it one wipe and it's clean like nothing happened. Installation was easy as can be, and the case friendly version I purchased fits so flush with my Mous case. I'd like to thank Mobile Reviews (and Monte, of course cuz he's awesome) for being one of my favorite product review channels and Flolab for the excellent product and even better customer service. Highly and always will recommend Flolab any day of the week.

I know this is TMI but maybe it'll help someone out there. First, I really enjoyed the thoroughness of this review. One thing that was not mentioned was the thickness of the tested glasses, which I think is an important factor. This was a big issue for me since my current edge-to-edge protector (for my iPhone 11) has serious touch sensitivity issues. I reached out to FloLab directly and they responded quickly that their screens are .3MM thick. While that addressed one problem, I found a new one. FloLab attached a design sketch showing their screen at 70.7mm X 145.9mm. My current case (which I am happy with) measures right at or just over 69MM wide, thus the 70.7MM is too wide for it. Most annoying, however, is that the FloLab dimensions differ so widely from those in the review (66.34MM and 66.90MM, for the 3D Case Friendly and 3D Normal). I even provided them the screen shot with the measurements from the review. FloLab did mention that the glass is curved and their dimension includes that distance. Maybe, but it's hard for me to believe that MobileReviewsEh would only measure the straight portion of the glass. Wouldn't it substantially weaken protection to have a case sitting on and pressuring any part of the glass protector? The search goes on. By its dimensions, the very expensive Belkin appears to be my next possibility, although at 68.88MM wide, it is also a tight fit. That's why I was so stoked by the FloLab review in this video.

Their customer service rep was awesome. I ordered the wrong sized screen protector for my phone and they sent me the correct size and only charged for S&H. This was a replacement for a previous Flolab protector that saved my wife’s iPhone screen when she dropped it on a rock.
Not so long ago, i bought the flolab screen protector because it was on that video and i am really happy having it, last week i broke it and contact the support and they cover the price of the screen protector for free, (still have to pay for shipping but its just 6.95$) but the customer service is perfect.

After watching this video I purchased the Flolab screen protector. My screen did end up cracking but they have wonderful customer service and replaced my screen protector immediately at no cost except shipping 😀
