Already had a focused Etali deck, but you humbled me by showing how it could be upgraded for less than a Euro. I lacked evasion and had too many huge spells. Another clever idea well executed. Thanks Mitch
I got the price down to $6. It's mostly the 37 mountains at 50-60 cents each that bloat the price tag. My final total included removing a few things I won't be running in the deck, but also buying a few extra copies of some cards for other decks. The mountains the deckbuilder tool finds on TCGPlayer makes up $18.50 or more of the price. For some reason the list TCGPlayer's decklist uses pulls up an expensive copy of abrade at 70c, this is true also for several other cards which have cheaper prints. Even if you are buying the basic mountains, swap them for copies that are 1c each to get the price back under control, and if you're really minimizing cost, look at every card 20c or over for a cheaper copy. You can still get this deck super cheap even with buying lands, it is mostly TCG's deckbuilder tool that sucks at finding affordable copies of cards sometimes.
Dragon breath. $.18 on tcg mid. With all of the rummage effects it's PERFECT for giving your commander haste for free. Recurrable after a boardwipe and gives Firebreathing for if you get a little bit later in the game and have tons of mana just sitting. If ever there were. Place to play it!
Because Baldurs Gate just came out you can replace Catalyst Elemental with Reckless Barbarian for the same effect, Power and Touchiness, for one mana less.
Using this as a general frame for my Delina Deck. Changing about half the cards for more ETB triggers since she likes those, but I am adding in a small steal sub theme
Wow this is great... with the $85 budget league starting this week ($4 commander / total deck cost $85, no individual card limit) I can run this plus Dockside Extortionist just to be silly. And I think I have every single card in this deck already in my collection (if I'm missing one I'll put Dockside in its place LOL)
Just ran a price check on tcgplayer and it comes out to over $40. Found out the reason was that the included decklist has MANY copies of $.70 lands. Delete those and the price goes WAY down.

Mitch uses the lowest possible price for the decks and that means buying the damaged cards but his budget decks are still cheaper than most other decks and they do work.
As I he usually says, and I bet mentions in this video too, the price he quotes is using the cart optimizer utilizing heavily played and even damaged cards, because, "Those cards need a home, too." When I plug it in to the cart optimizer, no mountains, heavily played and damaged, I get $2.54 and $3.30 as 2 options. Not counting shipping, because shipping prices can vary depending on your location, and if you add these cards to another purchase you were already making, you may be able to qualify for free shipping.
Simple upgrade for those with a bit more budget: Birgi, God of Storytelling, Grinning Ignis and a cost reducer such as ruby medallion will give you all the mana you need to cast anything you hit with Etali. Ruby also helps cast Etali quicker and Ignis is already in the deck.
@Frosterionx-Zero Raiken Uchiha the ice prince I would swap out Orazca Relic for Hazoret's Monument and swapping out something like Brazen Freebooter or Gleaming Barrier for Birgi, God of Storytelling. If you find the extra mana isn't helping too much in games you can play Birgi for its opposite side for an impulse draw engine instead. Birgi does almost double the cost of the deck though :D

Congratulations, you've managed to make Etali, one of my favorite Magic cards, painfully boring. Also, this deck is super vulnerable to enchantment based white removal, which is not exactly rare. Now I want to build an Etali deck just to see if I can do something better.
No clear sign of a lack of social awareness here. I can only imagine the motivation and thought process here can attributed to having lost to Brian multiple times? Maybe you tried to start a youtube channel and it failed? I am beyond curious.

It's possible that you have selected some filters which are invalid. Ex. You excluded foils and certain cards may have only been printed as a foil.
