i can call myself a student of Krackatoa, never would have been a celestial faust without his vids

I made a realization that I was making a simple error of FD'ing without mashing in specific situations, especially against Sol and letting him get back space. Thank ya for making this video, helps a lot!

i really appreciate the captions, as someone who takes in information at a snails pace the speed of these videos is very digestible

I appreciate how valuable these videos are to beginners. Strive is the first fighting game I've tried to seriously improve at, so it's nice to have resources like these.

Every time krackotoa says "close S" it sounds like they are saying "Close ASS"

There is a YRC.mp4, but I'll be expanding on this video shortly

Thanks. Seems like I can simplify further for myself, and on defense rotate between delayed option selects, mashing, and reacting

Right when needed. I was playing to understand how to defend properly, don't really understanding what exactly these options cover trying to mix them up, to understand what beats what, but now i'm ascended and soon there's gonna be one more faust in celestial

    Thank you very much.
As an Axl player who got in Celestial this really helped understand a lot more about when and how to defend in the corner.
I'll save this video to look back in the future.

Awesome video! This and the IFDB video have elevated me from bouncing between floor 9 and 10 and being frustrated at instant throws and stuff, to being celestial and appreciating the defensive options it provides.

To be honest I think I knew about all of these but wasn't using any of them effectively, seeing them in action is great 10/10

Thanks for explaining these defensive options, it’s really just an instant level up in gameplay for less experienced players and it gives a new area to improve in passively 🙏

3:19 I usually can it just "fuzzy grab", because it's like fuzzy jump but you grab instead of jump

How can Faust better deal with being out-zoned? A training partner of mine plays HC and getting in just feels like running up fding his shots, and when he gets into about midrange he goes full offense until he can get to fullscreen again. Is that just the matchup? I know that telep rc is kinda useful, but that gets predictable after a while.

You got it figured out. Go check Romolla's Anti-Happy Guide. It's really just a matter of being clean in your approach to gas him of resources.

@@Krackatoa Another question I have is how do I deal with axl? Is it the same deal? I get destroyed by his stupid full screen grab that he mixes in to his regular zoning.

Can you make a video on IB?

    • @Krackatoa
      @Krackatoa  2 ปีที่แล้ว

No point outside of the last video I posted. The window is too small to be useful in variable situations for 99.9% of players, so you just keep it to predictable windows (Meaties being the best one). If you're practiced enough to make use of it outside of wakeup, you probably don't need a video.

A year late, but i am really having trouble with the fuzzy options timings. I just cant figure it out. I feel like when i ,for example, go to do the 1~7 input fot the fuzzy jump im getting hit in my jump frames after i block a move and when i try to do it as im blocking, the jump doesnt come out and i get grabbed. When is the ideal time to move my stick? Or is it also dependednt on the blockstun of evey move and every case is different ?
