I like this very much! I’ll have to make these! I live and hunt in Texas, I have snake boots but I like the idea of being able to remove these when I’m leaving my property! Always a pain changing boots!

Tony, what stitch is that on the long gaiters? The one using the long thin strip connecting the two larger pieces. It looks like the back side of a cross stitch but can’t really tell. I haven’t found a tutorial on the long ones and the diections are a bit vague.

Beautiful work. I got your pattern some time back. I'm looking to add the torn leather look. It's for the Ren Fair. I like the tattered natural edges of the leather but I don't know how to achieve it. Looks more torn than cut. do you have any vids on how to achieve that look? Wish I could post a pic of what I'm talking about. Thanks!!

beautiful. do they work, though? not because you made it (which looks awesome), but the concept of the apparatus in on itself, is it to make low shoes more water resistant? what's the story?

I had a few customers who told me they use the taller ones on motorbike, or walking through rough bush and even against snakes in one case. The leather is natural and 2,4 mm thick so it will protect the legs at least as much as a high boot would. But i think mostly they are work because they look so cool

Hi, could you tell me the type of rivets you use? I'm only used to the 2 piece (top and bottom) type and it looks like you only put one piece through and hammer it flat? Is that the case or am I seeing it wrong? Thanks very much!

I just bought the long gaiter pattern. The long gaiter pattern has and extra panel and a thin strip to place across the sewing seam. The piece that the panel is supposed to attach to seems to be curving in the opposite direction. It is not clear to me how this is suppose to go together. Do you have some pictures of this construction?
