    Great video. Takes me back to the days I did a rebuild with my Dad in the garage. Just like this.

    FYI, your 2015 Honda has a slight rattle on cold start which lasts about 0.5 seconds. I suggest you have your cam tensioner checked or replaced.. Honda has issued a Technical Service Bulletin 19-019 on this problem and how to resolve it.

    Im changing the oil pan to a 2014 accord and its a pain in the ass! I have to lift he engine just to drop the pan! I have lifted the engine arleady 3-4 inches but still dont have space to take the pan out... Today will be my 3rd day attempting to take it off. I started off by taking 2 engine mounts off, then I ended up taking all the mounts off. But im still have trouble taking the pan out! I have lifted the engine as much as I can.. I dont have a engine lifter. Im using a jack to lift engine from bottom. But it seems the higher I lift it ,the more sounds of metal bending or cracking i hear, So now Im afraid to lift the engine more... but I guess im gonna have to try again today. thanks to your video I didnt know that maybe the hoses are whats making the job harder

    Great tutorial! Easier said than done but you guys made it look easy.. do you know if using a 2017 cvt tranny would work in a 2013 cvt or is it year specific bolt on? I’m curious

    Do you know if you have to reprogram a used transmission swap on a 2017 Honda accord hybrid touring for it to start and drive?? Thanks.

    Question: I hit the bottom of the transmission pan and made a hole in it, transmission fluid leaked out completely. I kept driving the car after hitting the pan not knowing it was serious. Engine bay started to smoke due to transmission fluid vapors and eventually stopped on its own. Towed the vehicle home and I installed a new pan and new transmission fluid. No new filters. My transmission won’t go in reverse. It only goes forward in neutral, reverse and Drive. Did i damage my transmission severely or would replacing the filters help? Also I had a code p0717 and I changed the input/output speed sensor. Still no luck.

    is this a maintenance item? Seems to be a lot of work to replace the filter.

    • @thequickautolook
      @thequickautolook  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m not sure if Honda recommends replacing the filters. But I believe the oil change interval is every 30,000 miles. So it doesn’t hurt to do the filters once in a while like every 60,000 miles.

    • @metzmatu8409
      @metzmatu8409 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The filters are not maintenace items as per Honda manuals.
      If routine CVT fluid change every 30,000 miles those filters are good without replacing.

    • @treyhatton2195
      @treyhatton2195 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@metzmatu8409should still replace the filter that’s behind the warmer on the front of the trans. Also recommended to replace the 3 o rings as well. I’d rather change out a $10-12 filter then risk it causing damage to the trans from fluid not flowing/filtering properly. Filters are there to be changed every so often. I do trans filters if there is a serviceable filter every time I change the trans fluid.

      @@donovanfahrbach2493 Any transmission can fail. 161k and you take care of it. Most people could care less. As far as CVT's these Accord's seem to have one of the best. You could also look into doing a manual conversion.
