Pokemon Musical Bytes is a collection of songs from the Pokemon series which aren't quite a full musical, but are still themed around the games themselves! Through the month of June 2019 we are proud to present to you songs from some of the greatest trainers in the Pokemon series.

I love how the manga handles it - Rayquaza fucking _stabs her with his tail then blasts her with a point blank hyper beam_ for nearly dooming the world
Yeah and in the gane its portrayed as Zinnia being alone but in the manga she has a village and a serious hubris issue

I think people, in their rush to compare the songs, forgot what the Pokemon Musical Bytes are: lyrics over a theme that represent the game and character as a whole. Juno's is more like Undertale the Musical. Meaning that the lyrics are about the moment in which the song is playing and its significance within the moment.
Sounds like? You literally just defined both songs.
Something I like about this song is how differently Juno and Alex managed to represent Zinnia in this situation. In Juno’s version, Zinnia is testing Brendan to see if he can really wield Rayquaza and destroy the incoming Meteor. However, in Alex’s version, it seems to be based in the segment when Brendan/May is chasing Zinnia up Sky Pillar, and Zinnia is determined to keep the player out of her way.
two versions of the same song can coexist you know, one is not inherently better than the other, please calm yourselves and do not get up in arms

This was a great telling of lore from the lorekeeper. The art was great and the edits to zoom in on certain parts like in sky pillar, and Atwas did really good, hitting those high notes higher than Rayquaza himself.

I can't help but point out that a lot of lines here (being reunited with her bretheren, all that remains will be whispers) really frame it like Zinnia plans to kill herself after calling Rayquaza. As if this is the only purpose she's ever known, and after all the sorrow and pain she's endured to get to this point she sees no reason in living on afterwards. Beautiful writing, very true to the character in a heartbreaking way.

@@oeynfrysdniydizsuhfisy1501Well, how else do you expect Rayquaza to stay Mega Evolved? Zinnia attach her Mega Anklet to it and send it on its way? Wouldn't work, it needs the Key Stone AND a strong bond with a Trainer to achieve Mega Evolution.
Zinnia’s battle theme was probably my favourite song in the OST of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and I really enjoyed listening to the lyrical version! Also, Atwas’ voice is now my canon voice for Zinnia, just like how everyone else’s voices are for N, Cynthia and Guzma. Can’t wait for the Zelda Musical Bytes!

I really enjoyed this one, I always really enjoyed Zinnia’s theme and it’s great to hear a lyrical version of it, and an epic one at that!

ORAS had the best postgame, not counting johto games because their postgame is just another game
The fact that you can catch a Mythical Pokemon outside of an event is proof enough
Black and white 2 had way more post game content, just it wasn't a story mode.
It seems like one of those moments where the post game isn't really a postgame at all but just a second part of the game that happens to take place after a set of credits.

Excellent choice of lyrics. This entire song reminded me why I loved Zinnia’s character and story and why I hated with a passion that we were allowed to use Mega Rayquaza against her and not the other way around.
These Pokémon Musical Bytes are the greatest thing I’ve ever witnessed. Keep up the great work, everyone!

I see why we don't have voice acting in Pokemon, it would be too awesome and we can't handle long term exposure! Great song!
From a development standpoint, probably because you can name your character.
@@SpookySquid14 yea, that's always a downfall, if the character is name able full voice acting goes out the window excluding fully animated cutscenes but because you can customize the trainer the cutscenes cant be fully animated unless it's done in first person. There's not much way they could have full voice acting unless they remove customization.

That Whole Ritual part and the power in the "RAYQUAZA" Actually made me sit back for a moment
This is one of the best songs in the entire Pokemon franchise, and you guys really did it justice! It's nice to hear Atwas singing again, and as usual, props to Juno for the artwork.

Having read this arc of the Adventures manga without playing this version of the game...kind of shades my interpretations. I somehow imagine the plot of the manga differs from the game in MANY aspects. For one thing I can't stop thinking that game Zinnia is lucky. Her manga counterpart TRIES to partner up with Rayquaza, but...then it impales her with its tail. I doubt that would make it into a video game aimed primarily at kids. But that is typical for a manga series that included a freaking ZOMBIE PSYDUCK in the first arc!!! Also an Arbok being decapitated. Shit gets dark in that series sometimes.

In the games, Rayquaza straight up ignored Zinnia, which if you ask me, it would be highly offensive and hurtful for her, as she literally dedicated her life to partner up with Rayquaza.

Zinnia is such an interesting character, but considering her close ties with mega evolution, we probably won’t be seeing her again.
And personally, that just breaks my heart. She has such a banger theme and an intriguing characterization that leaves you wanting more of her. The whole multiple universes thing of ORAS could’ve been amazing if Game Freak just stuck to mega evolution for a little while longer.
But I’m glad that we got her, even if just for a few moments!

She has been waiting for this. Her whole life to be told about the day the sky would fall. She finally plays out her plan but things change due to you. You manage to do the unthinkable and tame the legendary dragon of the ozone. Knowing all will be safe, she can finally breath a sigh of relief. She has no reason to hold back anymore. She can finally let all her emotions out against you in battle.
This song truely does her justice, and the lyrics crafted are flawless.
Zinnia is one of the most epic battle theme of ORAS thank you for putting lyrics to it.
Disappointed that BDSP has no Plat. Themed postgame content like this. Doesn't diminish the fact I think it's great.

You know, I never understood why I got the impression that Zinnia wouldn't survive the meteor's destruction. But now I get it. It's just another example of the manga filling in the gaps not covered in other media.

Great job, by the way! Yours and Juno's both! Both are great in different ways.
This one focuses more on the Draconid's backstory and Rayquaza, while Juno's focuses more on Brandon, Zinnia and the pending crisis.
They shouldn't be compared at all, but rather listened to on tandem, since they portray such different views on the same event. They should be viewed back-to-back rather than compared. Neither is better than the other.
And both are AWESOME!!
May I just say, I love how the byte series still manages to perfectly convey a character to someone who has no prior experience with them (aka me). It's genius.

I think when she said that she will soon see Aster again, She meant she was going to meet her in heaven. Because
as said in the manga, the lorekeeper never thinks of going back when riding Rayquaza as he emits poisonous ozone. So she meant she was going to die and meet Aster in heaven. That's my theory.

This fight is underrated
People say "zinnia is weak" or "zinnia was easy" that's because you have a level 70 mega rayquaza and she only has a few non-legendary dragon types
Try fight zinnia without rayquaza
You will lose
Zinnia needed a team of pokemon in their mid to late 70s so that she could fight rayquaza and stand a somewhat slim chance of winning
Not to mention you also have the box legendary as well.
But yea level 70 mega rayquaza does help

Both lyrics are completely different. This version is about the singer's history and desires. Juno's version is about the challenge of proving your worth. Both versions are awesome and you both did very well. Now I need a 3DS to play this game.
