I won't lie, the fact that the hardest to get mega stone in this speedrun is also the mega stone you are just given for going through the story in X and Y is pretty funny
As someone who spent a very tedious *MONTH* getting the Garchompite even after finding 10 high rank bases to visit daily I was very interested to see how this run only added 4 hours...the answer was to simply not be insane
The Stone Staredown is the most lore-intensive part of the Delta Episode, and it's a shame that people who take the time to read the dialogue might miss it because they're too slow to mash through the textboxes
@AbsolBlogsPokemon It's truly a once in a life time experience. I can only hope that one day we might grow as a society to be lightning fast readers and mashers. 😔
Anyone else really bothered by the fact that the contest reward is a Lucarionite instead of Altarianite??? I mean COME ON! The champion lady literally uses Mega Altaria and its pretty much the only time it appears. :/
I guess because they wanted to have all the new oras megas easily accessible as they were one of the main selling points of the game. If mega altaria was in xy, it would definitely be the reward for the contest because players would have already had a chance to use it in xy.
Im fine with it. I'd rather have Mega Altaria during the story than Mega Lucario, especially because Lucario needs to be traded over anyway while Altaria is a Hoenn native. Its still a bs requirement though.
I got the Garchompite and it was a miserable experience. I had to add people on GameFAQs. And even then, the thread we made had to filter out people who didn't want to engage in the process to output the maximum amount of flags for everyone.
I remember really not liking Zinnia when I played ORAS for the first time because she acts like a complete menace, refuses to actually explain herself, and then the story goes "Oh yeah she was right all the time so she's not an asshole" and I didn't like it
I love Pokemon Contests! Especially in the Anime. They were great! If I was in the Pokemon world I'd want to be a Top Coordinator so back when ORAS was released I was SO excited to finally be able to do Contests and I decided I was going to win Master Rank in all five categories to prove that I actually could become a Top Coordinator if I was in the Pokemon world and I also decided I wasn't going to use Cosplay Pikachu at all because that seemed like cheesing and also because a real Coordinator in the Pokemon world would have an actual team so I decided to beat every Contest with a different Pokemon who were my Contest Team. They were: Umbreon for Clever, Mightyena for Tough, Sceptile for Cool, Latias for Beauty and Lopunny for Cute. I'm really happy that I proved to myself that I could become a Top Coordinator. Mastering Pokeblocks, Perfecting my Move combinations and really showing my Pokemon off the best they can be, just like the Anime. Also, thanks to anyone who bothered to read this.
