Dhul-Qarnayn is an Arabic name for an antient king which translates to "one with two horns", and his story was told in Holy Qur'an (the scripture of Islam). The story goes like this; "Dhul-Qarnayn was a just, kind and physically powerful king who ruled most of the antient world (Allah "God" has graced him those gifts in order to bring peace to the people). He had a duty to roam the lands and helping any people he encounters. One day during his travel he found a small suffering village, after asking them about their troubles they told him that they were beset day and night by two raider tribes (it's not known if they're normal humans tribes, *I personally don't think so*). They told him that the two tribes are called Yajuj and Majuj, and they lived in a closed off valley between two great mountains. When he went to the tribes location and witnessed the sheer numbers and savagery of Yajuj and Majuj, He knew that even with his army & own might he couldn't defeat them. So he devised a plan and ordered the village people the gather all the iron they have and melt it, and he took the molten iron to the top of one of the great mountains that surrounds the valley and poured it at the the only entrance to the valley, creating a great iron wall effectively imprisoning all of Yajuj and Majuj, which saved the village people and all the surrounding lands of their tyranny (and potentially the rest of the world too)". The story in Qur'an ends here, but Prophet & Messenger Mohammed (PBUH) had told us about Yajuj and Majuj's fate yet to be, by paraphrasing; "Yajuj and Majuj were immortalized by Allah inside their prison and they never stopped reproducing until they filled every space of their valley so they can be one of the finale tests for the faithful in Allah & his Prophets and Messengers before judgment day. every single day after their imprisonment they dug in the iron wall and every single night when they sleep the iron wall reforms it self and their work resets, and they have been doing this for countless centuries and will still do this for many more, That is until a day comes when one of them says after digging "we will continue our work tomorrow, If Allah Wills it" thus by invoking the All Mighty name they continue their work the next day from were they left off. and after escaping their prison they shall have such great thirst and hunger that they will consume all rivers and forests of the world and the only human survivors will be the faithful who had sheltered them selves upon a remote mountain with their leader Prophet & Messenger Jesus Christ (PBUH) whos has been returned from the heaven to lead the final people before judgment day, and by Jesus' prayer to Allah Yajuj and Majuj will be killed by small insects that have been sent by the All Mighty with swarms of birds to cleans the earth of their rotten bodies. in the end only those faithful who believed in Jesus' return and followed him will inherit the earth one last time for many generations before judgment day finally arrives." Prophet Mohammed also said that, by paraphrasing; "All Prophets & Messengers of Allah, From Ibrahim (PBUH) to Moses (PBUH) to Jesus (PBUH) to me the Last Prophet (meaning Mohammed) had warned their faithful about the Big Signs that comes before judgment day which are by order of appearance: Appearance of the Liar (also known in Christianity as Anti-Christ) - The return of Jesus son of Mary - The emergence of Yajuj and Majuj - Appearance of an animal that speaks to humans - Rising of a thick smoke around the world - A sunrise from the west - Three Meteors fall on earth one in the east, one in the west and one on the Arabian peninsula - A great fire emerges from Yemen that herds the last humans on earth to the judgment land."

Being a muslim, I really enjoyed the Yajuj and Majuj turned into an SCP. The visual in the vid to represent them is really good and creepy too. I love it when certain parts in religion get turned into SCPs, just makes it more relatable and real.
@@tarektechmarine8209eh I’m not so inclined to believe, a lot of people speculate who were the Yajuj and Majuj based of and the most popular is that they were the Mongols described by eastern sailors. At the time, the mongols were unknown to the rest of the world, being a mysterious force that destroyed every empire wherever they go
I actually had to look up "Majuj and yajuj" to see if they were an actual thing from some kind of mythology or religion. Let's just say I'm happy to see they are.
Your videos are fucking astounding bro, idc about the intervals of when your videos are released, all I know is that you got me into SCP and I get hella excited when another gets uploaded. Amazing work man stay golden!
The whole concept of SCP is storytelling. The Volgun is one of the best of his game. The dedication, just the absolute fine ness of bringing these stories to life,
This is such a cool SCP, at first I was confused how a wall like this would be unknown but (if I understand it right) it is tucked in a mountain range so it makes sense
You’re videos are really improving! Your choices are becoming more and more diverse. SCP isn’t just a creepypasta wiki anymore. Some really gifted and imaginative writers, with the freedom the wiki’s moderators give them, have made the wiki a fantasy sandbox for first time fan-fiction writers or aspiring authors.
Which is horrible because it's essentially a copy of reddit no sleep for the most part with tons of additions sucking ass as cringe kill everything mega threats or direct copies of mythology with a tint of scp universe sprinkled in
This is one of my favorite SCPs. It reminds me of the Wall in Westeros, but instead of a wall of ice, it is one of iron and brass and is of course powerful enough to hold back the tide of an interdimensional invasion force that has been going on for so long. Of all the metanarratives, the Mekhanite-Sarkite conflict is my favorite. Drawing on the Persian Empire helps ground this SCP in the imagination. I can just about imagine Cyrus atop the wall and seeing the abominations breaking themselves against the wall's defenses. A very literal "edge of the world". The ancient war may have ended in a stalemate but nobody told these forces to stand down. So cool.

Oh it’s supposed to be Gog and Magog and Alexander’s wall-at least that’s how I first heard of it. It’s interesting, I didn’t know that myth was known as Yajuj and Majuj.
good one. also creepy as hell. so 10/10 -- love the mix of fiction and non-fiction. -=- Non-fiction: lydian coins [600BCE +/-] are considered (the if not one of) the oldest coins known. The Empire of Lydia fell to the Persian Empire. The Achaemenid dynsasty included Xerxes and 'cyrus the great' who was kind of babylon, media, and persia at once.
I remember an online friend (We're both Muslims, he's a Sarkic fan while I'm a Mekhanite fan) telling me about this SCP a while ago and me thinking it was quite interesting. I remember reading the author's notes saying he studies religions and he read the story of Dhul-Qarnayn and was fascinated by it so he adapted it, I love how they managed to integrated into the Mekhanite-Sarkic mythos while still keeping it faithful to the source material. It's quite interesting seeing a story I was familiar with since early childhood, especially one I've never seen mentioned outside my culture, being told from a very different perspective. Great reading and models as always.
Yeah but it was rather impressive for it's time, the minerals required for it being more common than the ones required for brass having even a comparable strength would have made it useful. And above all, it sounds cool.
Fair enough, but the juj's were described to have claws and something like be more naked than just bare skin, so they probably wouldn't have the facilities to make an alloy
@@jp_the_lemur8536 They could use their teeth though and just chew through the ground. Enamel has comparable hardness to steel. Let's hope they never figure that out. And yeah it probably was a figure of speech, just to say: "Dude, that ground is harder than our awesome Damascus steel, no way they can dig through that. That's impossible." Just like being "as hard as granite" usually isn't literal.

I think its classified as Euclid not because of the wall itself but what it contain, while the wall itself is friendly, what stand behind the wall is definitely not so. In this case the SCP sort of refer to the combination of both rather than merely the wall itself.
Not criticising Volgun because he only has what he's got to work with, but the largest city in Georgia is called "Tiflīs" in Arabic and it would be more reasonable that the magi would be given 20 dirhams instead of dinars, because dinars were gold coins and thus a VERY large amount of money.
The caliph official's report's closing words were chilling for some reason. "For Allah is knowing and seeing, and I saw what had already been revealed."
I've seen just about all of the SCP videos n this channel, but I'm willing to bet, I've gone back and replayed the "All civilized men praise Cyrus" part more than all of them put together.
There is just one major inaccuracy with the audio log. If the man was heading to T'blisi through the Caucasus he would be heading south, not north, because the Caucasus is in between Russia and Georgia... something that bugged me, otherwise this is really cool.
SCPs that are in relation to foreign cultures sounds AMAZING! We can all live under unity!… under the fact that there are horrible world ending anomalies not to far from accomplishing their twisted goal!
If a live action SCP series, it has to be an anthology series and the beginning of each episode, it has to have the Volgun narrating the scp file at the beginning before trailing off into the actual episode.

The story in Qur'an ends here, but Prophet & Messenger Mohammed (PBUH) had told us about Yajuj and Majuj's fate yet to be, by paraphrasing; "Yajuj and Majuj were immortalized by Allah inside their prison and they never stopped reproducing until they filled every space of their valley so they can be one of the finale tests for the faithful in Allah & his Prophets and Messengers before judgment day. every single day after their imprisonment they dug in the iron wall and every single night when they sleep the iron wall reforms it self and their work resets, and they have been doing this for countless centuries and will still do this for many more, That is until a day comes when one of them says after digging "we will continue our work tomorrow, If Allah Wills it" thus by invoking the All Mighty name they continue their work the next day from were they left off. and after escaping their prison they shall have such great thirst and hunger that they will consume all rivers and forests of the world and the only human survivors will be the faithful who had sheltered them selves upon a remote mountain with their leader Prophet & Messenger Jesus Christ (PBUH) whos has been returned from the heaven to lead the final people before judgment day, and by Jesus' prayer to Allah Yajuj and Majuj will be killed by small insects that have been sent by the All Mighty with swarms of birds to cleans the earth of their rotten bodies. in the end only those faithful who believed in Jesus' return and followed him will inherit the earth one last time for many generations before judgment day finally arrives."
Prophet Mohammed also said that, by paraphrasing; "All Prophets & Messengers of Allah, From Ibrahim (PBUH) to Moses (PBUH) to Jesus (PBUH) to me the Last Prophet (meaning Mohammed) had warned their faithful about the Big Signs that comes before judgment day which are by order of appearance:
Appearance of the Liar (also known in Christianity as Anti-Christ) -
The return of Jesus son of Mary -
The emergence of Yajuj and Majuj -
Appearance of an animal that speaks to humans -
Rising of a thick smoke around the world -
A sunrise from the west -
Three Meteors fall on earth one in the east, one in the west and one on the Arabian peninsula -
A great fire emerges from Yemen that herds the last humans on earth to the judgment land."
Quite a lengthy explanation, yeah sorry.
I had a a lot of fun writing about my culture regarding Yajuj and Majuj's story in context of Islam, i hope you find the words above informative and interesting. Cheers! =)
Whoaa thanks for the informations.. still curious who is yajuj majud
Being a muslim, I really enjoyed the Yajuj and Majuj turned into an SCP. The visual in the vid to represent them is really good and creepy too. I love it when certain parts in religion get turned into SCPs, just makes it more relatable and real.
The worse part is that they do exist, a real life scp that will eventually break out.
@@tarektechmarine8209eh I’m not so inclined to believe, a lot of people speculate who were the Yajuj and Majuj based of and the most popular is that they were the Mongols described by eastern sailors. At the time, the mongols were unknown to the rest of the world, being a mysterious force that destroyed every empire wherever they go
waiting dajjal SCPs
@@tarektechmarine8209kind of scary if you think of it, basically eventually we’re going to be in our own XK-Class scenario.
@@tarektechmarine8209No they don't. There is no proof, none at all for thier existence. All religons have many insane claims but none can proof them.
Can't wait! Thanks for the lecture Dr. Millar.
This one is wicked. I love the religious tie-ins and the menacing, yet unseen enemies
Welcome back Dr. Millar, you're always welcome to this auditorium.
I always get up for lunch when an afternoon presentation is due.
I actually had to look up "Majuj and yajuj" to see if they were an actual thing from some kind of mythology or religion. Let's just say I'm happy to see they are.
Yeah, its an actual thing in Islam, and its supposed to break one day before the End times.

Which is horrible because it's essentially a copy of reddit no sleep for the most part with tons of additions sucking ass as cringe kill everything mega threats or direct copies of mythology with a tint of scp universe sprinkled in
Neat way of tying myth in with the SCP universe. I really enjoyed this one.
So cool.
That's a tough wall. Other interesting things connected to the video. Gematria calculator goes more into the math processes. This video was uploaded on March 27, 2022.
3+27+20+22 is 72
Is indestructible is 72 in Pythagorean
SCP-2309 is a Euclid class is 72 in Pythagorean
Walls hold the lines is 72 in Pythagorean
Yajuj and Majuj attacks the wall is 72 in Pythagorean
Jesuit Order is 72 in Reverse Pythagorean
Which gematria exactly?
: This one always reminds me of the old "Weird Tales" pulp fiction stories about the ancient mysteries of the desert. It's great stuff. Legit.
How can you speak in so many different accents so well? It's impressive!
He's just an instance of SCP-939 who somehow failed to transform, and has gone unnoticed in the foundation for all these years :)
i heard some of his irish accent creep through tbf 😀 pretty good tho
@OrangeGreenRed what??
YOU REWORKED THE REDACTED SOUNDS!
The Volgun is the reason I know anything about the SCP multiverse and for that I am forever grateful. Thank you, Volgun.
Me too, i find myself enjoying storytelling, it's also a fun way to release stress and tension.
Same!
the range of accents you can perform are incredibly good, another fantastic reading as always!
At least they're not Tyranids....
I love when you thank the patrons at the end!! I look for a video everyday, knowing the truth!
i love this scp so damn much thanks for covering it!!!
-=-
Non-fiction: lydian coins [600BCE +/-] are considered (the if not one of) the oldest coins known.
Take a shot every time he says yajuj and majuj.
Love when you do the deep dive videos, but it’s good to hear to go for the less known SCPs
Ahhh yes, this SCP - great tale. Good one Volgun!
Damascus steel equals over-carbonized spring steel. Although it is hard, one can make a brass alloy that is harder.
Also titanium.
@@jwalster9412 Also silicon carbide.
That's impossible."
Just like being "as hard as granite" usually isn't literal.
Wow only an hour old and I was" like "999"! Keep up the great work ball again love your SCP videos
As an American, it always takes me a while to realize someone is referring to Georgia the country and not Georgia the state; I really wish someone with more creativity than 5½ cubic feet of spanish moss had named the state instead.
(That's about ⅙ cubic meters if anyone's curious.)
a lot of the original American colonies are named after the people who used to own them it's not really a matter of creativity
@@pandoragoldspan7012 Naming things after the people who own them sounds exactly like a lack of creativity to me.
@@draa0gon tell that to Alexander the Great, guy named practically everything after himself
@@theshambler6814 I hate to be the one to tell you this, but Mr. The Great passed away; I can't tell him how uncreative he was. I'm sorry for your loss.
@@draa0gon
Actually, the real answer is:
"We should make the king really happy somehow. Any ideas?"
"Yeah, how about name a territory after him. That makes royalty happy."
It's not a lack of creativity. It's about making the king happy.
I have heard of this one many times in the past and yet it still continues to be really fascinating and awesome. You did such an awesome job on with man :D
Welcome back, old friend
"At the ends of the earth
Where the sun rises from the treacherous fetid sea
Iskander built the gates
With blocks of stone and iron
Poured over with molten lead
Enclosing the nations of Gog and Magog"
This was made at the time of Cyrus the Great ? That is incredible. Iron was a rarely seen and barely understood metal at that time. Being able to produce and smith such a large amount during those times is nothing short of miraculous.
It’s an allegory for the Caucasus Mountains preventing the Turks from overrunning the Middle East.
@@zenith2068 Not Turks but Alans/Scythians. Dhul Qarnayn was also Alexander the Great not Cyrus. Read the syriac alexander legend.
@@MD-zf9dp at the time of Alexander, Cyrus it would’ve been Scythians yeah. They were the same type of horse archer nomad typed but by the time there was an Islamic Caliphate it would’ve been Turkic people. The Khazars on the Black Sea Cost and later the Mongols who were the ones who basically ruined Baghdad almost forever or at least since
Fantastic as always! Thank you!
I so look forward to sundays, you put some of my favorite scp stuff… awesome stuff bro
Great job with the new accent! Sounded great 👍🏻
no disrespect to the writer and the SCP peeps, but shouldn't this be a Thamuel class SCP...
just saying
besides all that, an SCP that dared to take from Islamic and Farsi mythology is dope AF, shout out to whoever wrote this and The Volgan for putting it on, much love, keep pushing
I think its classified as Euclid not because of the wall itself but what it contain, while the wall itself is friendly, what stand behind the wall is definitely not so. In this case the SCP sort of refer to the combination of both rather than merely the wall itself.
@@lydiahood7725 this is the shit i love about this SCP thing, thank you for that
I'm guessing this one is older than the Thaumiel designation. If it was written today, it would likely be Thaumiel.
Thaumiel would be if yajujj and majujj tribe was an scp itself, but not yet.
I agree that it's probably because it's an older SCP and therefore the Thaumiel designation wasn't (widely) used.
Great work! As always!
Its really cool that you got Sebastian Gorka to voice Salaam Al-Turjumani! Lol
This just made my Sunday
Not criticising Volgun because he only has what he's got to work with, but the largest city in Georgia is called "Tiflīs" in Arabic and it would be more reasonable that the magi would be given 20 dirhams instead of dinars, because dinars were gold coins and thus a VERY large amount of money.
Good comment
The caliph official's report's closing words were chilling for some reason. "For Allah is knowing and seeing, and I saw what had already been revealed."
In perfect isolation... *here behind my wall...*
Attending "Class"!
Great upload, Doc.
Thanks for the company during my nightshift👍
I've seen just about all of the SCP videos n this channel, but I'm willing to bet, I've gone back and replayed the "All civilized men praise Cyrus" part more than all of them put together.
I'm a simple man. TheVolgun uploads, I like and comment.
First time catching an SCP this fresh off the Volgun grill. Nice.
SCP-3583 "HellBus".
Nice short article about an autonomous school bus which takes kids on field trips to hell.
This one needed some quality control
Take a shot each time he says Majuj and Yajuj, you will perish
As a Muslim I appreciate this
And no when they come out its pretty much the end of the world
Yooooo
a fellow Muslim SCP enjoyer
Super cool concept actually
I am so used to hearing you say NJVoljak. It is how I tell when the video is over now.
another great lecture Doc
Reading this SCP as an archaeologist myself gives you a whole new kind of joy
Perfect timing :)
Exploring Series talked about Sarkic Timelines and mythology.
Nice to see an SCP from you about it
Bless the Volgun
Oh yeah. Exploring series then this. Lets gooo.
It would be cool to see you make a video on SCP-2480, it's another really cool sarkic SCP
So, this SCP itself isn't being contained as such, rather it is what it is confining that is being contained...
There is just one major inaccuracy with the audio log. If the man was heading to T'blisi through the Caucasus he would be heading south, not north, because the Caucasus is in between Russia and Georgia... something that bugged me, otherwise this is really cool.
I like it. A primitive scp that keeps some sort of proto humans behind a wall they cannot cross and cannot break
Sarkic SCP's are always fascinating.
Thanks for this.
I'm curious if the entities attacking the walls are the same as those seen in the 3D glasses?
Nope, yajuj and majuj in this scp were inspired by the tales from different religions, if i would compare them to a scp they would more likely resemble the orcadian horsemen (SCP-3456).
Yay, my country was momentarily mentioned in an SCP! 🎉
Here me out, build a box around the wall. Put(I forget the number, but the one that makes it's container infinite) in the box. Throw away the key and keep regular drone survalliance.
Really damn good, this one.
That big...big beautiful wall.
And end times SCP. Yajuj and Majuj are also Gog and Magog in the book of Ezekiel, which is essentially Russia. Fitting for this time.
better ask the church for help on this one it is their handy work
man this some LOTR level shit! irrespective of possible inspiration, absolutely brilliant imagination, SO graphic!!
I love the imagination of some of these. Any recs for books of a similar ilk ?
Da king is back baby
Damn ! Never thought the wall containing Gog and Magog would be a scp.
And the Daevites paid for that wall
thank you
the implication that the cause of biblical Armageddon in the SCP universe is linked to the Daevites is somehow unsurprising but still terrifying all the same.
Good video
Shouldn't the wall be a Thaumial class SCP, on the basis it is essentially a containment for the invisible Sarkic armies (which should be SCP 2309-A)?
