The WWE has hosted members of the Jackass crew numerous times, though the most memorable occasions occured when Steve-O and Chris Pontius got into trouble with Umaga, and when Johnny Knoxville took on Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 38. The crossovers were supposed to be more though, and a whole pay per view match featuring nearly every member of the Jackass crew ended up getting cancelled even though promos had been recorded and posters had been printed for the PPV (Summerslam 2007).
This video takes a look at each time Knoxville and company paid the WWE a visit.
00:00 - Intro / Jackass in the early 2000s
03:03 - Steve-O and Party Boy visit Raw
07:54 - Steve-O and Pontius React to the Umaga Beatdown
10:23 - WWE Swerved
12:22 - Johnny Knoxville vs Sami Zayn
15:45 - Final Thoughts / Credits

Hornswaggle VS Weeman is a huge missed opportunity
No it's not. It's a small missed opportunity
This is genius
I'm honestly surprised that wasn't Vince's first idea
Damn.
That woulda been awesome!
That launch by Steve o and Pontius was the greatest double team move ever
When I saw it I was like "Yup. That's exactly the kind of move I'd expect them to do!"
Steve-O has been one of the biggest transformations I’ve seen in any sort of entertainment industry. As someone who has dealt with my own personal demons, i know just how difficult that transformation is, and I couldn’t be happier for him.
Hi I’m Johnny Knoxville & welcome to the royal Rumble
I'm Steve O and this.. is "Piss off a Samoan"
😅
I’m wee men and this is the Nigerian drop
the “sink into the underground” intro was absolute class!
Yeah it was. It immediately sent a wave of nostalgia over my sheeit...
CKY is awesome and that song is fantastic! 🤘
It brought a massive grin to my face
The 90s/early 2000s was such a fun time
I thought this cross over was terrible. Stupid af
Is it so hard for you guys to just say the 2000's instead of "early 2000's", is it so hard to give credit to the whole 2000's and say it was good in general? Is it?
@@IStevenSeagal The world changed after 9/11
@@carter3369 Myasss it did you sillly American. The early-mid 90's was totally boring traysh, it didn't have the magic of the 80's nore the entertainment of the 2000's.

Johnny Knoxville was part of the raise of Sami Zayn! Considering after their Mania match Sami join The Bloodline! Thank Jackass!
I remember seeing the first movie in theaters and crying from laughter during the trailer for the sequel when they were all old and being killed off
I remember it taking me in my friends 30 minutes to get into the movie because the theater had 3 i.d. checkpoints. Well worth it though😂
It's almost like pessimistic fans forget the "entertainment" part of World Wrestling Entertainment...
Point Taken. That's why I avoid those types. Hell, sometimes I'm coming cross pessimistic or jaded, but I don't mind some fun, mature content with some needed comic arc in wrestling or other content. Seriously, some fans are too entitled and stuck up without being reasonable, open-minded, and constructive criticism in entertainment purposes and characters nowadays.
Meltzer in a nut shell
you have grown up your whole life with it called that, well when I was young it was a Wrestling Federation. With Wrestlers. obviously it became more entertainment oriented before the name change in 2002 but that's when the wrestling business died and the sports entertainment business replaced it.
But I am someone who prefers the serious and realistic style of rasslin’.
ITS STILL REAL TO ME, DAMNIT!!
Well we can easily say that Johnny Knoxville took bumps better than David Flair 🤣🤷
legit has a metal penis to prove it
Even before Summerslam, the infamous night Kevin Nash tore his quad in that tag match, you can see a fan holding up a giant CKY sign.
Always thought that was pretty cool.
Attitude era, South Park and Jackass. What a combo.
Goated era to grow up in
Steve-Os self portrait on his back will never not be funny
That backflip off the top was legit impressive, especially if he was drunk.
Let's not forget that Steve-O went to clown college, backfilps and stunts were his entire life
Lets not forget its more then drink@@lucianganea3034
In his reaction video. Steve-O said himself he was surprised he landed so perfectly.
Umaga pancaking Steve O and Pontuis was brilliant! 😂😂😂
I remember that Steve-o interview. Umaga all but murdered these guys 😂. Umaga did not take kindly to these guys laughing, Steve-o’s face when Umaga dropped that forearm.
"Hi I'm Kenny Rogers and this is the bat catcher trick with my teeth." 😆
Please tell me there's at least 1 person here that remembers the MAD TV skits with Will Sasso being Kenny Rogers doing Jack Ass stuff, they had actual Jack Ass guys on the episodes doing the stuff with him.
They were friggin Hilarious.
😆👍
Sami Zayn vs Knoxville was a highlight of WrestleMania 38 for me, it was so entertaining
Sami can work with anyone, in any kind of match. I never understood the hate that his match with Knoxville received. It was a lot of fun.
@@perceivedvelocity9914 exactly. And considering Mania was like 8 hours long across 2 days it was a much needed change of pace to just have a laugh for 10 minutes
Fully agree about Sami and the WrestleMania match. It doesn't escape me that he was headlining a pay-per-view with Roman Reigns 11 months later.
Main eventing WrestleMania
Steve-O never just "looked" wasted at that time. Glad he's gotten it together, though.
As a jackass fan and a pro wrestling fan this video made me much more of a fan thank you wrestling bios
Ha yeah, I grew up on both too and watched all the spin-off shows.
@@num1Jaysta me too my friend
6 Meltzer stars from me. Haven't even watched and I can tell you... you had me from the CKY intro. Also, leave a hell yeah if CKY is still in your rotation in 2024.
I was just listening to CKY yesterday 🤘
Steve-O could've been such a successful pro wrestler. He's got a larger than life personality and he can take an insane amount of physical punishment. Basically a charismatic Darby Allin
Loved Johnny Knoxville's WrestleMania attire. It reminds me of the costume Damon Waynes had for his Blankman movie.
Being a massive wrestling fan AND CKY fan, thank you for putting in sink into the underground at the start.
❤ Thanks for all of your various amazing content! You put in so much work and I appreciate you and all you do! Thanks Wrestling Bios
Steve-O remembers entire rants fueled by week long drug binges, but his memory couldn't survive the Samoan Bulldozer 😂 love the guy but that's a rough stat
Absolutely love your vids mate. Working my way through the back log. Would love to see a vid on Dean Malenko also the ‘Smackdown Six’ from ‘02. Keep up the great work mate 👊🏻
Props for playing sink into the underground. That album is one of the best of all time
Another awesome upload. Love the deep dives
This channel is number 1 love the content breakdowns. That wm match was mint
Imagine it had been Meng he had laughed at 😂
I loved every minute of Steve- o getting beat up from Umaga
Such a lost memory for me, thanks for reminding us all how odd late 00s WWE was
Sammy Zane is an incredibly skilled performer, which is why he was PERFECT for that Jackass match.
Bro Starting the vid with a CKY track. Almost brought a tear to my eye. thx dude ^_^
Had tk rewatch the intro because I couldn't help but jam along to Sink Into The Underground. One of CKYs best
The first season of Jackass went out when ECW was still in business. A cross over we never got 😔
Hearing Steve-O's retrospective of his 2006 appearance was funny, because the reason why he wasn't selling any of Umaga's moves is because Vince didn't have the decency to tell him to do so!
as a huge Jackass fan i loved the Match at Wrestlemania honestly my only gripe was that Steve O wasn't there
As an extension, I do love how Johnny Knoxville was in attendance for Mania 39 and booed Sami Zayn during his first ever Mania main event. Keeping kayfabe alive and well!
lets go Bios!
I've been waiting for this one
That Cky intro was much appreciated
Man good times watching Jackass and doing some of the stunts lol rip Ryan Dunn
Johnny Knoxville Vs Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 38 was surprisingly a good match
TNA had a phase of jackass lol
It's more like Russo taking a piss all over the X-Division
Celebs in wrestling never did anything for me but, Umaga had me rolling with his viscous beat down. 😄
Steve O called selling "playing dead" 😂
Love the outro with The Rumble Roses Theme.
I remember when jackass appeared on raw in 2006 that was crazy johnny Knoxville vs Sami Zayn at wrestlemania 38 was very very entertaining that was an awesome celebrity match wwe swerved was absolutely hilarious.
I agree and the crowd was into the match I agree with Wrestling bios
Too many marks can't have fun unless every match is a bunch of spots , flips and kicks
@@Chuck_EL i agree 100%
Oh do I remember this😂
I have been a smark for about thirty years.
I constantly learn from these videos.
No fault should be on the Jackass crew for the Umaga situation. It was on the WWE entirely to make sure the guests knew what to do.
The Sami/Knoxville match was my favorite that year.
Haha. That mouse trap was hilarious. Always love the jackass crew.
Hearing CKY’s sink into the underground on one of your videos just made me somehow love this channel more
I went to JackAss Live at Lupos in Providence Rhode Island. At this point in time, GTA Vice City just hit the shelves of video game stores… what a time to live
laughed so hard at the thought of them doing jackass on wrestling and umaga andthe dont get hurt thing hahaha
Umaga would be fired nowadays, it was basically assault 😂
That last Jackass match with Sami was brilliant I thought was the most entertaining match I’d seen in years tbh
Tuesday bios!
I was never into jackass and it's probably the genesis of all the "prank" videos on youtube/tiktok BUT this was an enjoyable video and a Wrestling/Jackass crossover does make sense
Yup, back then it was more than obvious and overdue that a crossover between Wrestling and Jackass had to happen. They just shared so much of the acrobatism and over the top hilariousness.
Steve-0 tells the story on a podcast and its funny as heck. He didn't understand that he was supposed to lay still after Umaga got him. He kept getting up over and over so it got stiffer and stiffer.
Ah yes i remember the segments
That Swerved recap made me miss the original WWE Network.
The Umaga beat down is hilarious.
Did rapid delivery ever make it?
Bro the Mania match with Knoxville and Sami was awesome! I agree if you went in there expecting an actual wrestling match you were going to be disappointed. This is definitely one of those times to just enjoy what was going on in the ring.
Steve O and Jeff Hardy could’ve been the craziest match ever lol
Two of my all time favorite things, Jackass and wrestling 😂
They should have gotten the trailer park boys to host, the green bastard vs anyone.
I love the mixing of CKY with the video
As Chris Pontius said on his and Steve-o's reaction video about the Umaga match, "They could have stressed the part about staying down a little more..."
While "they should have known better", they weren't wrestling fans, they were comedy stuntmen contracted for an appearance, they should have been at the very least given one or two pointers about how wrestling psychology works. To them, WWE was simply a stunt, kinda like the Grocery Store Boxing Match, and nobody told them otherwise.
Steve-O said on his TH-cam that he was supposed to come out with the Jackass crew at the 2022 Royal Rumble but earlier in the day they did COVID testing and his was positive.
He also travelled to the Rumble with Rousey and her family on a private jet
The Zayn/Knoxville match was one of my all-time favorite things in wrestling, full stop. It was 15 minutes of Bugs Bunny vs Daffy Duck.
Johnny Knoxville was definitely going for the Kaufman/Lawler angle, which shows a knowledge of Wrestling and how to execute a fuad that would otherwise be too unbelievable and stupid to work. So the respect on both sides is there. Plus blurring the lines of what was real and not.
Sink into The Underground = EPIC WIN, SIR. Cky are my favorite band from this era.
I thank my late friend my best friend for getting me into Jackass. I love those films
Shout out Minutemen for the song Corona. The theme for Jackass. R.I.P D. Boon.
What happened to some of the Rap music you use to play during your intro?
Jackass and Wrestling Bios! Yeah Dude!!
That jeff and steveo pic is so concerning thinking about the time this happened.
These were the original vlogger pranksters
They often compare themselves to vlogger pranksters, and honestly, the reason why we love them and not 99% of vlogger pranksters is, all of what they do comes in good fun, they have the courtesy of being the butt of the joke that vlogger pranksters don't have.
I am a hardcore wrestling purist as Ryan keeps mentioning in the video, and watching the Mania match live, I was disgusted.
A week or two later I watched it back looking at it from a more modern lense, and I thought it was absolutely phenomenal.
Johnny Knoxville vs Sami Zayn at Wrestlemania 38 was one of the funniest matches I’ve ever watched.
Jackass is such a 90s thing.
So nostalgic.
The OG series was in the early 2000s. But I get what you're saying.
The Knoxville - Sammy “match” was simply amazing. The major feds going to a more sport feel is great, but pro wrestling needs this type of entertainment. It was truly a “fun” match that everyone could enjoy.
Unlike most "comedy" matches, that one has the decency of looking at least a bit like a fight. A very stupid fight, but still a fight.
i remember watching this back then, i was expecting to see Umaga was going to murder Steveo on TV hahahaha
I had to babysit my nephews when they were like 9 to 10 years old and after their parents left i pulled the cartoon out of the DVD player and put in one.of the Jackass movies. I was the cool uncle for a bunch of years
I also had one of them push down on the accelerator of the van while i pushed it out of a snowbank. He was maybe five years old. Now he drives a semi
Anyone else grew up doing jackass stunts? Used to watch so much Jackass/CKY and WWE while doing our best to recreate what we watched. Good times. Favorite Jackass was Ryan Dunn RIP.
I was a backyard wrestler and jackass was getting big so some talents used a few stunts from the show in payoff matches
I remember thinking jackass and WWE would fit well together and I'm glad I was proven right
I remember TNA had their own promotion of the 1st Jackass movie with the X-Division. They tried incorporating a Jackass joke into a Chris Sabin vs. Low Ki title match on PPV and the live crowd booed it out the building.
Mostly because no one on the crowd understood the subtext of the joke.
I was basically the right age for it, but never got into Jackass. I saw some, though, because my best friend was very much into it and would show me bits.
Johnny Knoxville vs Sami Zayn was a match of the night contender.
Fight me.
I'm surprised people were thinking that Sami deserved better or that this was below him. He wrestled Kota Ibushi while sitting in a canoe and hit him with an oar.
Damn Bam was going to be left out of the SummerSlam match? Bam was always my favorite Jackass.
On the Sami match. People forget that the E in WWE, stands for ENTERTAINMENT. Which was done real well.
Steve-O not selling 😵
It was actually Wildboyz
