Wrestling as a sport is scripted, the winner(s) of the match are determined beforehand as are some of the big, flashy moves aka "spots" for example putting an opponent through the announcers table, jumping off a ladder etc. Most of the action is improvised by the wrestlers on the go and if you pay close attention you can see/hear them talk to each other during a match sometimes. That, however, doesn't change the fact that wrestling hurts real bad. The mat doesn't have as much padding as you would think and despite being heavily trained to take wrestling moves in a way that minimizes pain, everyone occasionally slips up, botches a move and injures themselves, which makes the sport even more dangerous. I think it's really unfair to discredit everything these athletes go through by calling it fake when the shit still hurts like hell.
It's fake of course. And that wrestler was being excessively rough on those guys because of the shit they do on jackass and everything else. If it was someone else famous, the beating wouldn't have been as bad
That's vince for you. Then again this is the same man that would get his ass whooped by his employees just to ensure people tuned in. Vince is a maniac lol
I can assure you it went exactly to Vinces's plan. He knew Steveo wouldn't follow the script and told the boys if Steveo didn't do as he was told then beat his arse. Notice how the other Jackass boys didn't cop the same beating?

It’s crazy that he did that, and stuck the landing, without injury. Have you seen the video of the Indy wrestler who hardly stepped off the 2nd rope, and broke both legs?
Yeah true. He always had a good attitude and didn't seem as desperate for fame as the rest of the Jackass crew. Pontius was always down to earth and seemed content with what he had. A lot can be learnt from this guy. Humility and a positive outlook on life can literally prevent aging! 😁
I think it was great that you said rest in peace to Umaga. WWE didn't even really highlight him when he passed away. Like at all. Really is messed up, actually..

Umaga definitely was pissed off that you no sold the samoan splash. That elbow came in with some velocity, but thankfully the way it looks to land it did actually hit more of the forearm than the point of the elbow. I can't imagine the amount of brain damage that would have done had the beast of a man that is Umaga landed that dead on the temple with the point of his elbow.

HAHAHAH this episode was so good. Fucking love you Steveo! So glad you sobered up and are still here today to tell these stories. So pumped for jackass 4
No, he was pissed cause he wasnt selling the final move lol. Wrestlers hate when you dont play dead after a big hit. His continual attacks were literal pumishment by wrestling law lmfao
CODA it’s not fake though, it’s scripted. Everyone knows if someone Irish whips you, you wouldn’t really run into the ropes and bounce off. Everyone knows a leg drop won’t leave you unconscious. But fans suspend their disbelief to enjoy the product. When someone no sells a move that’s supposed to be sold, it ruins the act. Not Steve-O’s fault, but still.
They both were probably too high to remember what they signed and agreed to. Vince: So just be aware, Umaga is gonna kick the shit outta you. Them (Chris and Steve-O): Yeah sure, why not? Also them: *gets beaten up by umaga more than intended* Vince: Well this just got a whole lot better
No Steveo can be a prick sometimes. he refuses to what he is told even if he is being paid. Look for the video when Steveo talks about all the jobs he was fired from. Steveo is a spoilt brat whose parents never told him no> so he would never follow what anybody told him to do.
The fact that stevo was still able to move despite everything Umaga did to him is unbelievable. Never question the durability of a jackass star people!! But he really should've just played dead.
Yeah for sure. Still a dick move though. I would understand if he did it to another wrestler who has been doing this stuff forever, but to do it to a skinny little junky with no clue how it all works is kinda fucked up lol. That elbow looked painful
Dude I love their bromance that's literally passed the test of time. Sooo many great times seeing them announcing jackass on tv and their still going strong. 🖤
If you ever watch Olympic gymnastics, to stick a landing means to land perfectly with no bounce or step forward. Kind of sad that needs to be explained. I've seen and heard several recent interviews with Steve O. He's not washed up at all matter of fact he's doing great.

@@StackRunItUp well you obviously didn't watch this video. Steve-o and Chris both got hit hard by Umaga. He didn't take it easy on them. Instead he beat the shit out of them. I watch a lot of shoot interviews and one thing has always been constant, Haku is a real life monster. Everyone seemed terrified of him. And for good reason. 😅 I remember watching a Whatculture/Bullet Club spot and even though it was a work, I genuinely thought Meng didn't get the message and was about to murder those skinny British lads.
I was amazed at his memory at first too, but I feel like it's because he had literally like two decades of his life caught on film that he can and has watched/referenced

rabbeseking i merely used the words he used for his video. It's good to speak someone's language when attempting to directly speak to them no? He can call it whatever he likes regardless of whether it's technically accurate or not
I was watching when this happened on TV. Honestly, Umaga in general threw people around aggressively but I remember thinking it seemed extra with poor skinny Steve-O, what a memorable moment. RIP Umaga.
Stev-O's inability to lay still is what caused poor Umaga to recieve such bad karma for excessive violence that the Grim Reaper took him with a heart attack.
That elbow was super unnecessary. Elbows in general are a hard-hard punch - but when you drop an elbow from above, Umaga had all his weight + a little extra from dropping it from above.

Steve-O literally worked himself into a shoot
Facts, he shoulda stuck to the script...Smh
D Sword They didn’t know the ins and outs of pro wrestling. Umagas lucky he didn’t literally do brain damage to Steve O not like he has a lot of brain left to be damaging.
You know honestly in another life the jackass crew would have all made amazing hard-core/Deathmatch wrestlers
His entrance to the ring was called "the fish out of water"
Steve o: this is one of the craziest things that ever happened to me
Chris: Yeah totally
Lmaoo im sayin dude look like he high as heeel
I didn't like because I wanted it to stay at 420.
Would LOVE to see you two just react to old stunts you did. The chemistry is great
HAHAHAH this episode was so good. Fucking love you Steveo! So glad you sobered up and are still here today to tell these stories. So pumped for jackass 4
I love how steve o just got slammed and kicked he still laughs at chris lmao
Me and my best friend getting our asses beat😂😂😂
Props to Steve O for paying respect to Umaga.
Literally, WWE barely even acknowledged him and Steve O took the time to pay his respects big up to him
R.I.P Umaga
Isn't that the guy that ours his ass cheeks on his victims face?
Smitty WerbenJagerManJensen No..That’s Rikishi’s Brother.
Smitty WerbenJagerManJensen Nahhhh..I’m Pretty Sure That’s His Brother.
Adrian Vargas 😂😂😂😂😂😂 lol hi
MMA elbow, you can tell he was trying to miss but someone keeps moving 😂
John Ortiz yeah hit right on the back of the head xd
No, he was pissed cause he wasnt selling the final move lol. Wrestlers hate when you dont play dead after a big hit. His continual attacks were literal pumishment by wrestling law lmfao
Rj Rehda lmfaooo
CODA it’s not fake though, it’s scripted. Everyone knows if someone Irish whips you, you wouldn’t really run into the ropes and bounce off. Everyone knows a leg drop won’t leave you unconscious. But fans suspend their disbelief to enjoy the product. When someone no sells a move that’s supposed to be sold, it ruins the act. Not Steve-O’s fault, but still.
@@beboppapadopoulos4158 exactly! It's an art form and entertainment no different than movies or television.
They both were probably too high to remember what they signed and agreed to.
Vince: So just be aware, Umaga is gonna kick the shit outta you.
Them (Chris and Steve-O): Yeah sure, why not?
Also them: *gets beaten up by umaga more than intended*
Vince: Well this just got a whole lot better
No Steveo can be a prick sometimes. he refuses to what he is told even if he is being paid. Look for the video when Steveo talks about all the jobs he was fired from. Steveo is a spoilt brat whose parents never told him no> so he would never follow what anybody told him to do.
1:31 the way steve-o got inside the ring is the most hilarious shit ive ever seen yet. LMAOOOOO "yea, you were on drugs" xD
Imagine being hyped up on blow trolling in the middle of a WWE ring. Hell yeah

And landing a fucking backflip from the top ropes

@@619kane gtfo

I don’t think, even if they told them to play dead, Steve-O was even able to with the amount of drugs he was on
The fact that stevo was still able to move despite everything Umaga did to him is unbelievable.
Never question the durability of a jackass star people!! But he really should've just played dead.
That opening sling shot move had me cracking up!
Bertine Faria the whole damn thing had me lauging💀
I thought they were going to pull some sweet Jack ass moves, but the guy just plowed them and made it no fun.
He was genuinely pissed you didn't sell for him. That's why he stiffed you.
JohnnyBuschi I think he already understands that 😂
Yeah for sure. Still a dick move though. I would understand if he did it to another wrestler who has been doing this stuff forever, but to do it to a skinny little junky with no clue how it all works is kinda fucked up lol. That elbow looked painful
@@jayn8392 but a non wrestler the size of Steveo not selling and laughing makes it look even worse than when a veteran worker does it.
@@Specialistkay If there's anybody who could conceivably no-sell Umaga, it'd be Steve-O.
Lol these vids should be a little longer
Pontius- "Yup you were definitley on drugs"😂🤣😂
Dude I love their bromance that's literally passed the test of time. Sooo many great times seeing them announcing jackass on tv and their still going strong. 🖤
Dude you stuck that landing on that backflip! Great video man!
Boc that's not what he meant lol
If you ever watch Olympic gymnastics, to stick a landing means to land perfectly with no bounce or step forward. Kind of sad that needs to be explained. I've seen and heard several recent interviews with Steve O. He's not washed up at all matter of fact he's doing great.
Love you Steve-O. Thanks for captioning your vids. It means so much to me as a deaf person.
Performs backflip perfectly on TV without rehearsing 😂
And on drugs
Cocaineeeeee
Without rehearsal? The man went to clown college, he's been backflipping most of his life. It's like riding a bike, you don't FORGET how to do it. It's muscle memory .
1:35 "Yeah, you are on drugs" lmao, I love how you can just tell from Steve-o's face and his crazy entrance into the ring, literally looks like a seal flopping around haha
What is he even on!?! And how did he get it into the arena?!
the wild boys + circa 2007 wwe? Ive never felt such nostalgia
Dude I miss the WB's So much
I'm only 22 seconds in and just realized I didn't know how much I missed watching Pontius.
wildboyz was so underrated, wish they had done more series. They could even bring it back now
@@dfpguitar it was better than jackass in my humble opinion
You can tell Steve-o is on drugs because no matter how many times Umaga hit him, he kept laughing XD
Edit: thanks for the likes!
It was like watching real life Tyler Durden *punch* hahaha *punch harder* HAHAHA *blackout*
The Bad Guy well because he wasn’t actually getting hit... because wrestling is obviously fake 🤦🏾♂️
@@StackRunItUp well you obviously didn't watch this video. Steve-o and Chris both got hit hard by Umaga. He didn't take it easy on them. Instead he beat the shit out of them. Steve-o got it way worse because he wouldn't stop moving and laughing. Chris on the other hand was smart, he stopped moving after Umaga knocked the wind out of him. You might think wrestling is fake but you can get hurt and wrestlers do hit each other hard sometimes.
@@StackRunItUp
That was a real elbow
@Tiuz Kanggz
Steve said the elbow literally "knocked [him] into a blackout" He never remembers leaving the ring
Pontius' goofy giggle will never not bring a smile to my face
2:45 this dude could literally be in the wwe lol, no training but he flipped off the top ropes like he's done it 100 times
Before Jackass, he was actually trained as a clown by the Ringling Bros. circus.
@@ThePinkMan steve-o could become a seriously interesting version of the Joker, since he has a super tolerance for dangerous things, pain and laughs when hit. He was a clown irl, plus the drugs, low-key make it really dark. it'd be interesting to see Batman fight him in a movie.
Dude is a legit athlete
Dude got recruited for Jackass cus he was making his own videos, many of which involved backflips.. its just something he's always done haha

I’m glad you’re clean now.
LMAOOO
If he never got clean we more than likely wouldn’t have Steve-o still around today.
I just watched him do a shit onto a veranda next to his girlfriend after having her inject hot cause into his asshole.
Clean Steve-o is still something else lmao.
I distinctly remember this (and most of the Jackass crews appearances because I always loved that it was more than just a celebrity plug, ya'll always got involved)... Glad you made a pointed remark about it not being fake though, I feel like people don't understand the difference between fake movie fighting and scripted athletics which do take skill, can hurt and do take a toll.

I watch a lot of shoot interviews and one thing has always been constant, Haku is a real life monster.

And for good reason. 😅

ALG “reaction videos” by the people that were in the thing they are reacting to is called commentary. I see it more like the extra stuff you’d get on blu rays. I actually want to hear from the people that were involved.
