    Excellent info! I agree, read labels carefully before deciding what to spray together. This is one advantage of liquids is being able to mix them in battery sprayer, but I also still like my granular fertilizer.

    Nice Nate! Love being notified you posted a new video. Also love your honest reviews on these products and most importantly the video of the results before/after. Keep up the great work!

    I love mixing liquids in my tank sprayer. It makes applications so much easier to schedule out according to rain (at least in Michigan and not the PNW) HAHA

    I think that the Greene County stuff is safe to be mixed together like RGS and Humic 12. I have used them in the Ortho, but then last year I saw you run it thru a back pack sprayer. So, that was my new way to apply bio stems. Great info here…!

      @PacificNorthwestLawns  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Gary. I got tired of the Ortho having issues so I switched to a backpack sprayer. Then these hose end sprayers became available so I decided I'll give them a shot. They're definitely a time saver. Product moves quickly out of them. 👊🏼

    LOLfirst of all I see an Aspen Pest Control vehicle outside your driveway. I'm in Vancouver and use them, they're very good. Based on your suggestion I got the Spraymate battery sprayer. I used it for the first time the other day and look forward to using more liquids than granular. My grass is Barenbrug RTF Turf Saver and as soon as my Allett Stirling arrives I'm going to start reel mowing at 2 inches and hopefully down to 1.5 and maybe 1.25 but will see. Anyway I enjoy your channel and nice to have a PNW voice out there.

      Thanks Tom. The Aspen truck isn't mine. It's my daughter's boyfriends truck. How did you like the SprayMate? I'm not far from you. I'm in BG.

      @@PacificNorthwestLawns So far so good on the SprayMate. I've mainly just been practicing to get my calibration down. I sprayed Humic 12 the other day and it was fine. My total lawn is only about 2500 square feet so I ordered the 2 1/2 gallon and they sent me the 4 gallon. I'm in the Salmon Creek area in a development called Jesse Hollow. I go into Battleground to go to Wilco. If you want to check out my Stirling when I get it let me know and I'll give you my number and we can get together.

    You're not kidding about Spring taking its time to get here in the Pacific Northwest... My renovation got hit hard with crabgrass, not sure why the grass seed didn't germinate fully?? I'm probably going to have to kill it all off again in august and try again.... Any tips or recommendations?? Thanks for all the helpful information you put out.

      When did you try the spring renovation? This spring? And where are you located roughly?

  • @theperfectcutlawncare

    Solid info Nate. Do you have to spray a lot of fungicides on that rye? Midwest gets quite humid in the summer and my Rye is disease prone compared to the bluegrass. Spring and late fall Rye looks outstanding and doesn’t need any fungicides.

    • @PacificNorthwestLawns
      @PacificNorthwestLawns  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually just in the summer. Rust is the biggest issue and I really don't stress about that.

      If you're pretty new at it don't be intimidated. Allyn offers a great online course and I think it's discounted right now. www.yardcarebootcamp.com/

    I did my renovation last Fall / mid August. Didn't get a very germination and over the winter crabgrass went rampant...
    I'm in Vancouver - Orchards area.

    • @PacificNorthwestLawns
      @PacificNorthwestLawns  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Crabgrass doesn't grow in the winter. In fact our soil temperatures aren't even warm enough right now for crabgrass to germinate so it's not crabgrass. I wonder why you didn't get good germination. You're timing was right, mid August. Something had to have gone wrong. I'm just up the road from you in BG. I should come by and we can try and figure it out. Hit me up if ya want. All my contact information is in any video description.

    When do you put down your prodiamine? I am under the impession We missed the window for spring this year based on lawn care life’s suggestion as using forsythia blooms as a guide. I am working to develop a fert/herbicide schedule for the landscape maintenance company I work for. I live in Willamette valley OR. Thank you

    • @PacificNorthwestLawns
      @PacificNorthwestLawns  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's actually really simple. When soil temperatures approach 55* for several consecutive days. Our window just opened so you're not too late but keep in mind how much you use. If you plan on seeding in the fall, I wouldn't be putting down enough to last 6 months. To check your more local soil temperatures use GreenCast. www.greencastonline.com/tools/soil-temperature

    • @squizzle6613
      @squizzle6613 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When forsythia blooms start is when crabgrass starts to germinate. When the blooms fall.. they are showing up above ground as baby crabgrass which is killed with Drive XLR8. Add to barricade if u missed timing of 1st app and u will be good.
