Thank you for providing this! I am so excited to have a PDF with your tips. Our lawn is dominating our neighbors who use companies for lawn chemical care and it’s all thanks to your tips and knowledge! I greatly appreciate it!
@LCN - Great PDF doc, very informative. Only suggestion would be to add pictures of products/issues in the lawn (crabgrass etc). Types of grass pictures too. When I first started that was the most difficult thing for me. Identifying everything visually. Keep up the great work and love the collaboration with other companies/people!
I don’t care if you get something from the company ‘s you mention because I’ve been following you since this past August when I was having a problem with crab grass and by following your recommendations I cleared it up and then the GOOD grass flourished so Thank you LCN.
Thanks for explaining the link thing. Now I know to use your link so you get paid. I appreciate all of the free information you have given me to dominate! Good to know there is a way to return the favor 👍
I have stained patio slabs with fert before, I've had good results with cat litter.... Place it over the stain then grind it into the slab, I use my feet to do this. It worked really well.
I bought some next gen about a month ago and this is game changing stuff. I had area of clay that never had top soil and boom now it's a nice pile of dirt. Also my Bermuda took off faster then any fertilizer I ever used. Amazing stuff. Call Brad at Green County. Not cheap because of the shipping cost. Have to buy minimum 4 bottles plus $35 shipping but worth every penny. I bought 2 nex gen and 2 bottles of liquid fertilizer. Be careful it will stain your concrete.
Sorry for the stress you're going through regarding your plants and patio. On an positive note, "I'm extremely happy for your business ventures and partnerships". Your growth on TH-cam throughout the years is truly AMAZING!!!
Thanks Allyn...I am super jacked for the newsletter, the ebook and the live stream. I started renovating my lawn last year (bad is an understatement for it's state then). My goal for this year is weed control and soil health. I'll be laying out my spring plan in a few weeks so your timing is perfect! Currently buried in snow and ice so I can't wait to enjoy the mow again. Thanks again, JD Robinson Windham, Maine
Thank you Allen for all you do for us. I'm a faithful follower. I live i SC and someday I hope to show you all you've done and my lawn. I did sign up for your Ebook and thanks again for all.
I was planning to spray the pre-emergent herbicide on March 1, but ended up doing it early February right before a rainy day. Temperatures have been in the 50s and 60s during the day so it seemed like the right time.
Matt Martin is incredible. Love his channel and all the next level knowledge that dude brings. So cool to hear that he’s helping you out with the book. Your subscribers/followers should also check out GCI Turf as well. Another brilliant and talented lawn professional. Can’t wait to see what u got cooking for us lawn care nuts this year buddy!
Hi Allyn, drinking coffee in my Lawn Care Nut coffee cup watching your video. I cannot tell you how excited I am to see what you will be teaching me and taking my lawn to the next level this year. Hope your babies heal well and I’ll see you Feb 2nd with some really great beer!
Thank you for taking the time to make a guide to go by. I also have experience the same in Polk county with the freeze. I did one worse. I had had my yard sprayed for crabgrass and Nutsedge. And it kicked the fire out of my yard. The weeds are dead and the St. Augustine got a two part hit. So I fill your pain.
Hello. First of all, great work! I'm in Dallas and weed is all over the place. Also, I want to prevent crabgrass which kick me bad last year. I need two things: 1-to use pre emergent (Prodiamine) for crabgrass 2-to grow grass from seed The question is, can I seed now and wait to apply Prodiamine till early beginning of March or, did I lose my chance to do both? (seed + pre emergent) Thanks!
I found Do Your Own about four years ago after having a "professional" company charge me for services they could not have performed as I was not home to let them in....lol...such a disgrace! I went shopping and found products that I could not get ANYWHERE else. Glad to see you teamed up with them.
Thanks so much for the work you put into your channel! The e-book was an awesome surprise! I've been thinking this week that LCN should be letting me know when to apply pre-emergent! Hoping to take my lawn to the next level this year with LCN's help!
South Florida February 1 , can’t wait. Throw ‘r down. I enjoy the emails and have a file just for them. Yep, trash. No just kidding. Lawn care nut of course. My lawn is so dominating. Fighting a bit of fungus from the neighbor and some Bahia grass. With your help I’m winning the battle. I’m glad your making a buck and I’m happy to support. Currently spraying with N-Ext. Love the grass factor. The great thing about the cold is it zaps the bugs but Tropicals don’t like it. I’m in zone 10b so I don’t have to worry about the cold but the bugs 🐛 are insane.
So funny how this is all coming together. My subscription list has all these guys. I'd gather information from other channels to create my program. And here it is....just for me thanks Al
I’ve been a long time follower of the channel and have gotten my lawn DOMINATE thank your videos. Sadly we recently moved into an apartment and now I have no lawn :( still adore your videos and will watch all of them! THOWER DOWNNN
Glad you mentioned the commission you get from Do Your Own... I am about to purchase some Pennant Magnum and I was shopping around to save a few dollars. Will strictly buy from Do Your Own now.
It's been incredible to watch your channel evolve over the years, I'm excited to see some of the new content to come. I definitely just requested my coworker switch shifts so I can make the live stream on the 2nd. Lol, thanks for all the incredible content sir.
1 to 3 Bleach Water should take care of the stains with no scrubbing. It’s what I use and on the plus side it’s what’s in the pool so no bad stuff going in there.
When can we expect the e-book will be sent out to us? I signed up for the newsletter and have not received any emails so I am concerned that there could be a problem.
Hello LCN can you do some videos on a large acer lot with liquid fertilizer and pre-merg... I just bought a house with 3 acres and this yard is in very need of help because it is undeveloped yard new build just got seeded 2 yards ago
Thanks for the free .pdf! I’ll Twitter this question out too but wanted to go and ask in case any other viewers know the answer as I doubt it’ll be a frequent question. Q: will these pre-emergents affect Hops rhizomes? I home brew and grow Hops and wonder if I could use this in my Hops beds cause they frequently get infested with crab grass.
Never seen a guy look so heart broken over frost bitten palms . Chin up fella. Is it possible to wrap them in bubble wrap to keep any more frost off or are they too big? It’s what we do here in the UK with the smaller ones . Man hug 🤗 dude
Good stuff....and the ebook is great. That said, I'm planning on de-thatching with the Greenworks machine and over seeding this Spring (cool season grass). I have a thick lawn and minimal crabgrass issues. But, I feel I should still use a pre-emerge. I haven't seen a video of yours that addresses doing both at the same time. I'm looking at a product by Jonathan Green that allows for seeding, along with a pre-emerge. I can't be the only one who is interested in a product that does both. Also, I put down a pre-emerge for poa in the Fall, so no seeding at that time. Any thoughts or recommendations?
I am excited for this year’s content! Who knows this may be a year for increased domination block by block! I like your idea for developing a plan for viewers to follow. Definitely a nice change of pace. One last thing. Does anyone else cringe when LCN strolls around the pool? I keep expecting an unexpected dip into the water. XD
I’m a new homeowner, and maintaining a lawn for me is a new language that I really want to get good at. Prior to watching this vid I’ve already dropped Milorganite. Is it too late to put Pre emergent?
I'm just curious, down in Florida you dont have to winterize your pool even if temps drop below 32°? Also, have you ever thought of doing a video on tying in together lawn care and pool care?
LCN + Greene County Fertilizer + Matt Martin + Do My Own = recipe for success. Glad to see that I've been following, watching videos made by and buying from all of these guys. Great stuff Allyn!
Hi LCN! Savage here...lol. Big fan of your advice and channel! Subscribed to your newsletter and have your warm season lawn guide (GREAT INFO). Have you done any product reviews on selective/non-selective Organic weed control for lawns? Have not seen all your videos yet...pardon me if you have already done so.
Looking forward to the live chat. FYI - I loaded up big time on products and equipment you mentioned in your many vids on this topic in preparation for this fall. Maybe not the exact equipment. I'm pretty bad about go a step up to commercial grade, when feasible. You can call my wife, she'll tell you. No don't call. I already in the dog house on that topic. Anyway, got my eye on my neighbors forsythia. Thanks for the ebook.
I am following your video for a little while and i like your clear approach to lawn care . However the major difficulty for me is the fact that i live in Quebec , Canada . The main issue here is the difficulty or near the near impossibility to get a wide selection of seeds , fertilizer and all the other stuffs needed to make it work . Any insight about some retailers in here ?
This is a great video, but I'm at the post emergent period. Any tips or recommendations on products (either cool or warm weather lawns) for that type of weed issue? ... I'm taking a lawn that was neglected for 2-3 years and bringing it back.
Can't get the Dimension hi-yield here in California. They won't ship here. I used the other hi-yield without Dimension and doesn't work that good. I did buy some tenacity and used last fall because I was reseeding. I think I'm going to use the tenacity this spring too because I want to throw some more seed down and your not supposed to use the hi-yield for 12 weeks after you seed? Thanks LCN I'm going to get the pdf. If you can tell me how to order the Dimension stuff and get it shipped here let me know
Cool Season (SE Ohio) question. If I am only going to put down one application of granular Pre-Emergent on my lawn, which one and what is the timing i should use? I have used Dimension in the past due to that fact it has some post emergent action as well, correct?? I've heard you say you think barricade is best. Help us sort this out, and thanks for all the great info
good questions. if you are only going to do 1 single pre-emergent app, use prodiamine and do it in mid/late-spring. full max rate. Dithiopyr does have some post emergent control of crabgrass which is why I recommend it as a second app in june. however, since you are only doing one app per year, yours should be prodiamine
I think i signed up. I live in McDonough Ga, i have bermuda grass in the front and fiscue in the back yard. Not sure if they are considered warm or cool season grass. But what can i put down now to deal with the weed situation? And a fertilizer as well. Thanks in advance
LCN will you be doing a vid on how to help those palms recover or have any suggestions? Frost down here in Texas got mine too. I covered them but guess it was not enough. Ty
LCN, I seem to remember reading a comment you made on one of your videos saying you were thinking about installing Zoysia grass. If so, what kind were you thinking about and how well will it do in shaded areas?
Just found you on YT. I like your videos so I'm a new subscriber. Also signed up for your newsletter. Looking forward to learning a lot of new stuff. Thanks for what you do.
Great video as always... . Quick question, (Saint Cloud, FL - St. Augustine grass) yard Mastery App recommends I apply a Pre Emergent around Nov 6th and then again Nov 21st. Is that an APP error? Majority of the manuals I have read from LCN state that such applications can last up to 4 or so months and at times a month apart between applications. Can someone clarify for me?
Hopefully the book has liquid info! Just got a really nice sprayer that Im going to calibrate and fine tune for a good safe pass. I have nearly 2 acres So I need to cover some ground! Also I have a palm tree up in Maryland spear pull, thankfully only 2 of the suckers did and the other 3 did not.
Hi Allen, Just need some advice from you if you read this. How do you respond to the negative comments?, I have my own channel and get a few from time to time. Thanks in advance.
Allyn! I moved into a new house in June and they put down new sod. I'm looking to lay down pre-emergent this Fall before my bermuda goes dormant. I've read that I should just be watering for the first year and that pre-emergent may interfere with the growing/germination process. Any input?? I'm in Houston if that makes any difference.. Thanks!
Hey! I just watched your Jan"18 video. I am 90 yrs old and cant push a spreader around. What do you recommend as a liquid alternative to the granulated you were referring to in the video?
Harold Hesterly tenacity is a good liquid pre emergent and post emergent. It may discolor some grass. I had some light colored bleach out looking spots. They went away in a couple weeks and was back to dark green. Try looking up some videos on tenacity and see what you think.
So much information on lawns. Your palms look sad. It looks like you got that freeze we here in North Florida got. I've lost some of my favorites up here. Hope you can get the stains up on your tiles. Hope the palms make it.

Thanks for another great video! If I resod a few small areas of my St Augustine floratam lawn here in Central Florid and then apply the pre-emergent, will that keep the new grass from growing?
Damn, I’ll miss the live stream as I return back from NOLA. Will the stream be recorded? I’ll be sure to shoot you a couple questions on Twitter. Can’t wait for the upcoming season, sounds like it will be different, informative, and fun. Ryan from New Lenox, IL
Would be cool to have a signup link for the live stream - like an event-bright or facebook event or whatever, because I'm too lazy to make a google calendar reminder. Ok, just did it. I need a beer.

7PM EST is 4PM here on the west coast. Move the live stream back an hour or two please after we all get home from work.
I work for Custom Green Lawns in Longwood..we use Stonewall in liquid form (granular to liquid ) .. so we know pre emergant

Sweet! Good stuff! Looking forward reading your e-book!
What do you believe is the best variety of zoysia to grow in Birmingham, AL? Looking to establish a new lawn by sodding in the Spring.

Hey brother! Use Rust Eraser for the stain. It works great. You can get it at SiteOne!

Whats the trick for keeping weeds from growing in between your pavers?
Is there a possibility of over applying Dimesion and damaging the lawn?
I think i signed up. I live in McDonough Ga, i have bermuda grass in the front and fiscue in the back yard. Not sure if they are considered warm or cool season grass. But what can i put down now to deal with the weed situation? And a fertilizer as well. Thanks in advance
Downloaded! One problem I have in MN is thistle like weeds... Any way to prevent these?
LCN will you be doing a vid on how to help those palms recover or have any suggestions? Frost down here in Texas got mine too. I covered them but guess it was not enough. Ty
yes for sure, I have the "Joo-Joo-Juice" in the garage now
Looking for some help with goosegrass in warm season Bermuda post emergent. Thankyou
Thanks for the shout out LCN! I will send you some items to help with your HQ woes. Keep up the great work!
Thanks John!
LCN, I seem to remember reading a comment you made on one of your videos saying you were thinking about installing Zoysia grass. If so, what kind were you thinking about and how well will it do in shaded areas?
Nicely done! This is definitely your calling. Now patiently waiting for the "Fertilizer Guide" - Thrower Down!

Just found you on YT. I like your videos so I'm a new subscriber. Also signed up for your newsletter. Looking forward to learning a lot of new stuff. Thanks for what you do.
welcome to the team!
Did the freeze kill/harm your St Augustine? I live near Mt Dora FL and mine is real brown.
I doubt it's dead, just dormant. water it now that it's warm again - see if it greens up
Same thing happened to my palms in Savannah, GA, no clue what to do about it? Appreciate all the tremendous content.
water them every 2 days for now. I'll be applying some joo-joo juice to see if I can get them to recover from there. Ill be sharing
In Australia we use dicamba as pre emergent. Works great on my Bermuda couch lawn
I wish we could have a lawn care care nut in canada, our laws for herbicides and insecticides are different then the stats
I’m on the list! Been looking forward to this for a long time!
Great Video! Helps get me through the cold northern Indiana winter watching your vids lol!!!
Looking forward to the live stream, and the rest of the content you have coming!
busy is good. Good for you. BTW, it's always ok to pitch. It's important.
How mant times are we supposed to be putting Fertilizer on lawn a year ?
Hi Allen, Just need some advice from you if you read this. How do you respond to the negative comments?, I have my own channel and get a few from time to time. Thanks in advance.
Is that a chapin backpack sprayer hanging on the wall? If so, would you recommend it for your fans?
yes, excellent sprayer
Was out it the garage today, cleaning up and thought... it's been a while since ive seen anything out of LCN.
The stains on the patio, can you try pressure washing it?
Do you have a video on tenacity herbicide?
How do you feel about Tenacity instead of Dimension for second app of year? Hard to get in California.
tenacity doesn't have a very long residual so I don't even consider it as a pre-emergent.
Do you have a program care guide for Bermuda?
Thanks!
If I already subscribed to the newsletter, do I have to give my email again for the PDF? I have not received it.
I've got lesco pendimethalin for my central Fl St Aug. is this LCN approved?
So much information on lawns. Your palms look sad. It looks like you got that freeze we here in North Florida got. I've lost some of my favorites up here. Hope you can get the stains up on your tiles. Hope the palms make it.
I’m worried about using prodiamine on my grass seed from last fall??
Also great video and tips. Look forward to what is to come
Allyn thanks for the e-book try a little of white vinegar and water mix 50/50
Hello. Thanks for the videos. I've been watching for awhile. I've gotten your ebook and just ordered my Prodiamine. I'm in southern VA. When I apply the Prodiamine when after should I apply any type of fertilizer or will the Prodiamine be enough? I already use Milorganite... Thanks is advance..
Why didn't you cover your palms with burlap?
DoMyOwn is great. Have been ordering pest control products from years for years. I have been a pest control operator for almost 30 years.
Still hoping for the review of the Honda mower. I guess we will have to wait until spring when you have more growth.
Are the preemergents ok to put down if you have pecan trees in the yard but need to get rid of stickers?
My concern is with eating the pecans picked up off the ground
Friday the 1st right?
Thanks for another great video! If I resod a few small areas of my St Augustine floratam lawn here in Central Florid and then apply the pre-emergent, will that keep the new grass from growing?
established turfgrass only. Not recommended for new sod
good to know! Thanks for the response! I'll resod and hold off on pre-emergent until the grass gets established
I need the book

Is it too late to get the free ebook? I signed up to your email list a few weeks back when i purchased the cool season hybrid book
Damn, I’ll miss the live stream as I return back from NOLA. Will the stream be recorded? I’ll be sure to shoot you a couple questions on Twitter.
Can’t wait for the upcoming season, sounds like it will be different, informative, and fun.

I was worried something horrible happened to you. You know, like frost on your grass. Welcome back.
thanks my brother!
@LCN - Do you not use pendimethalin Pre-M?
Would be cool to have a signup link for the live stream - like an event-bright or facebook event or whatever, because I'm too lazy to make a google calendar reminder. Ok, just did it. I need a beer.
