As a 3060 Ti owner I am angry at Nvidia for being lazy in implementing ReBar support for games. Ghostwire has been out for months now and none of the driver team is enabling official ReBar support for it.
It's especially grating given how little VRAM NVidia gives most of their bread and butter GPUs. I get that there's business reasons for shipping only 8GB - don't like them but i get them. But not using the feature they ship to soften the blow is outright boneheaded.

The bigger the vram , theres bigger perfomance boost , if your card has 8gb vram and game used it all theres almost no improvement , you should test 3060ti or 3070 with 8gb vram .

Does the REBAR work for older nvidia cards, I have a 1070ti, and I enabled it in my bios, but GPU Z still shows as disabled
How is the Preformance when you play MMO's like lost ark/Final fantasy etc did you test that too?
wouldn't differ much usually and they're mostly CPu bottlenecked
Thanks bro, I used it with warzone 2 and got good results
Great!
Great video!
Thanks
I like that in some games like Resident Evil Village the performance didn't change whatsoever because it implies the developers actually optimized their games properly and didn't leave any performance on the table!
This is a drivers things, not developers sided
Soo, it's a net increase overall and those worse 1% lows might be a measurement error ?
im curious if there's anyway to enable it on a gtx series gpu?
Possibly, but I don't really know
@@AncientGameplays i also have another question, regarding pairing the ryzen 3 3200g with the gtx 1660 super, the gpu isnt able to pull off more than 60% of its performance and in elden ring case its stuck in 30% performance, im i messing up something or the ryzen 3 3200g is that much of a bottleneck , i looked it up online and people kept saying its not a bottleneck
@@ayoubkrt5018 Yeap, 3200g is a massive bottleneck, Simply that.
only 4c/4t, low IPC, low single core performance, everything low...can't do much there besides getting a better CPU

Is there a way to force ReBAR on the AMD side in specific games?
I believe not
I'd like to know if there's a list with games which are recommended to manually turn off resized bar since I've turned it on for all games now.
I dont think so
I wonder if this rebar "trick" also works on old Nvidia GPUs such as the GTX 1060?
I doubt but you can try
@R does it work?
I have ReBar enabled on my bios and I look at my control panel to double check that it is enabled and it is but when I go into Nvidia profile inspector and click the game I want to edit and rebar doesn’t show up at all. Any help.
it seems to be working on my gtx1080, is that possible? My 12700k cpu and MSI bios did have a resizable bar feature set to enabled. Then i forced it on in prof inspector. Clear sky feels different now. (it already had like 300+fps so idk for certain if its working)
It may be yes
@@AncientGameplays cool, thanks for letting me know about the bar thing
@@scalz420 Can I use ReBar with 7800X3D and RTX 2080 ?

@@scalz420 How many games have you tested to confirm whether it works or not? And is your bios updated to the latest?
Thank you for the video. how i can verify that resizible bar is activate after i followd your steps? as i go to nvidia control panel and to the system information the resaults there saying " resizible bar= no"
If profile inspector says it is activated and you have activated it on BIOS, then it is ON
@@AncientGameplays well my bios looks like doesn't have that option at all :)
Amaizng video man as always
Please test more games with reBar TY :)
Nost have rebar enabled as well as explained and those are tested on my gpu comparison videos 💪💪
@@AncientGameplays Yeah i've noticed on most ya video's its tested on. But i figured those are games with reBar support confirmed by nvidia. Be nice to see a video on a list of games that's not enabled by default to see the comparisson :)

@@AncientGameplays Haha i don't mean everyone, some of the more popular titles. It seems a lot of games i have installed its not enebled by default. Spider-Man, Division 2, Crysis Remasterd, God of War. Are just a few ofc :)
So this work on a 1080 Ti? Cause I mostly play cyberpunk and I want all the FPS possible.
Maybe...
Can I enable Rebar using this software if my cpu doesn't support it, but my gpu does? I'm using a Ryzen 2600 and a RTX 3060ti.
It should work in theory yes
Does games lose performance if i let the option enabled on Bios? Or is safe to let the option on?
hello sir i have a 2060 Super can i enable rebar with nvidia profile inspector in this gpu? resizable bar is enabled in bios but unsupported gpu
Maybe, you can try it
Seems like you didn't test *any* dx11 titles here? how many of these titles are actually ram intensive enough for it to matter? Should have added Assetto Corsa and maybe MS Flight Simulator 2020 (in DX11 and DX12)
You're talking about ram and we're talking about vram
you can modify x99 motherboards to feature resizable bar. theres a video on youtube did it on my msi carbon x99a.
what if I have intel cpu and amd gpu? cant use that geforce thing, I mean, in amd adrenaline and bios its res bar, its enabled, but its made for geforce, right?
Of course not, you can use smart access memory. Doesn't matter the cpu, amd gpu = smart access memory
@@AncientGameplays but it only allows me to enable resizable bar, there's no sam, 13600k, 7900 xtx nitro+, gigabyte aorus elite mb
Que tal amigo ?
Una consulta, yo lo active de BIOS el reBAr , y bueno me fijé en la información de mi gpu y está todo okey está en on.
Lo debo forzar entoces del inspector? O ya lo puedo utilizar? Desde ya gracias bro
Some games (as explained) you need to force it via inspector. Death Space now has it enabled by default though
does it will work on 3060 ti ? ( and if it how much fps it will increase i got 250 300 in csgo with drop )
Do you know if the frametimings are better? Like in Overwatch or cs? So faster picture but less fps or so?
Those are cpu limited usually, this will hardly help

Please, could you make a video later on how to configure the NVidia control panel, for better performance, a video of you showing the best configuration would be great
I was gonna answer and saw the comment below is on point

Don't see the callisto protocol when I search for the profile. How can I find it? only ask because I see it a option showcase on this video.
I have a problem I use to have a GTX 750 ti and and i5 2500 and I recently got a GTX 1050 ti but my pc has been getting less fps and idk why
Do a clean drivers install
Its very confusing that the Nvidia driver information shows resizable Bar is enabled but in Nvidia inspector it says its disabled. I enabled it in the inspector and lost frames in MSFS.
because some games don't benefit from it, hence it being disabled
Brooooo !!! I have RTX 3070 and I didn’t even know there is a software named Nvidia profile inspector !! I’ll try this thanks alot 😍😍
You're very welcome. Big hug
Hey it's just about my favourite piece of software as a long time NVidia user. You can do fancy things with it such as you could do framerate limiting before this became available in the driver, you can do SGSSAA for older games with no built-in anti-aliasing to make them look absolutely amazing, and so on. Plus it's quick, i can make and drink coffee while official NVidia control panel loads the game list!
So, buying 4080 and using ReBAR is bette than 7900xtx with SAM. If they were at same price (as they are where i live), would you buy 7900xtx or 4080?
rebar is already enabled for most titles though, these are 10 of them where it wasn't. At the same price? 4080
Please let us know when we can enable it like on amd cards for the older generations, i need it with a 1660 ti
I believe this software does it interestingly

As a 3060 Ti owner I am angry at Nvidia for being lazy in implementing ReBar support for games. Ghostwire has been out for months now and none of the driver team is enabling official ReBar support for it.
Yeah...
just had enough trusting really, if anyone slowing me down ill just leave them and move forward
It's especially grating given how little VRAM NVidia gives most of their bread and butter GPUs. I get that there's business reasons for shipping only 8GB - don't like them but i get them. But not using the feature they ship to soften the blow is outright boneheaded.
Def gonna do this before I start deadspace got about 15 more hours of witcher 3
Hello, I thought Resizable Bar can either be on or off? How does it go as Auto?
Does forcing this on allow 10 series to take advantage of rebar?
Possibly, wont hurt trying
can you help me please? i forcibly enabled re-bar with the nvidia inspector program on fortnite and the game has impressive stutters and became unplayable. i have a 3060 ti - ryzen 5 5600x - mobo msi b550 a pro. I tried resetting to default but the problem persists.
If you disable rebar it should stop. See if your shaders aren't loading. I believe thats the case. Reboot your computer if needed
@@AncientGameplays how can I see if my shaders aren’t loading??
@@lorenzotoma3067 the stutters happen because they're loading. They should stop after a while

Could you test it with 3rd gen ryzen as well? :)

I have a 10900k and a 6900xt, do I have SAM or Resizable Bar?
Amd gpus = SAM, no matter what the software says
enabled it, also i set rebar size limit for DX12 games i play (FH4, Apex, Fortnite) to 8gb (0x0000000200000000) since my gpu is a 3060Ti XD
The bigger the vram , theres bigger perfomance boost , if your card has 8gb vram and game used it all theres almost no improvement , you should test 3060ti or 3070 with 8gb vram .
Not just the vram, more things go into it
Does it not make more sense to enable it under global settings or does it have to be done manually?
Maybe, but some games may loose performance like you saw in Forspoken
@@AncientGameplays what about games which doesn't have a profile on there. For example the new boxing game sim undisputed does not have a profile on there. How about Intel CPU with a Radeon Card?
I have a 10700k and a 6600XT and it works fine.

Radeon = SAM, doesn't matter what the software calls it
In your scenario you barely got a boost because you were cpu bottlenecked 💪
For COD Warzone 2 this forced rBAR is not available right now?
warzone 2 = Modern warfare 2

So if have a 6650xt with amd cpu and enable SAM, I can have almost the same performance as 3070? 🤔
no, that will never happen, but you do get more perf in some games.
