Congratulations to the Italian guy and yes, I for one would love to see the final match for you for 3rd place. And definitely have to agree that one should never, ever resign. Never give up, never give in... in chess and more importantly in life.
in life yes. in chess, as this game shows, winning on flag with a losing position is kinda weak imho. chess is a mind game, time matters but should not be critical parameter in this game Bc8 is weak, and f6 is huge blunder... for zeinot. Playing Qd2 and f5 is winning I think
The previous video and this one were simply amazing! Apart of knowing how to move the parts which I learned almost 40 years ago, I don't know anything about chess. And yet, I was watching these two games as if I was at a basketball game of my preferred team. As the game advanced, with all the changes, I became more and more nervous and I found myself at the last seconds like the last seconds of a basketball game tied up - I was completely stressed, anxious, nervous and I was deep into the game even though I didn't understand anything! Your narration is probably the best in the world. And I watched you only from a random suggestion by TH-cam... Well done!!!
Dang, it's gotten to where every time I tune in to another of Anna's games, right away I'm afraid she's going to run out of time! Doesn't matter how good she plays if she's going to keep running out of time.
OMGoodness... I discovered Anna today - and it's been a marathon of watching so many of her videos! Simply captivating - brings me back to the movie 'Queen's Gambit' Loved that film! And love you as well Anna... Your parents must be so proud. xo
@seheyt mentionned it : Qf1+ Kxf1 Ba6+ takes the rook back and leaves Anna with a bishop + 2 pawns advantage many mistakes are time (and trash talk?) related
I almost spat my coffee out when I thought I heard Anna announce she was playing in the semi-finals of a HUGE chest tournament in London 😂. They spar well together - cool game.
I just LOVE to follow your games Anna. You are such an inspiration to chess players. What I like most is your lack of prestige and your respect towards your opponents! You make me proud to be a swed 😊
I stopped playing chess 25 years ago out of sheer fear and anxiety of tournaments. And then your videos pop up on my feed, just around my birthday, and I realise how much I miss playing it. I bet I am not the only one who is being inspired by you to carry on or start playing chess, so well done! Now let me go watch the next match because this is too goooood!
10:10 of course u could have done something different Anna. The winning move here was queen takes f1 rook, with the idea of winning his queen. String goes Queen takes rook, king takes queen (almost forced) bishop checks by moving to a6, king moves anywhere and rook takes queen!!! This was difficult to see with 40 secs left on the clock tho.
At 5:25, doesn't The Italian Guy have the infamous 'Greek Gift' #-sequence..(minus the Knight)..? Rather than the Rh3 move, he simply sacrifices the Bishop with Bh7+... zugswang is K must take B, then R to the h-file...K must return to g8..then Q completes & closes the diagonal... protected by Anna's pawns... Black Q is one move behind
Anna: your tells are 1.Rocking/swaying, 2. Grabbing your hands and fingers (Squeezing). Fast jerky head movements. Relax, play a poker face. Rotate your shoulders to settle into a natural position, and breath (You are probably holding your breath a little too). Your visible anxiety is less effective than a deadly calm demeanour lol. Remember: Fear is the mind killer.
/Olle J.
I had no idea why you moved bishop back in the first place too... It's always great to have the rooks mutually defending each other with no pieces between. The bishop was also defending to rear pawn too. Even so it was a valiant come back attempt.
Wowa a close one, you were doing so well. I'm still playing the cow and finding all sorts of ways to win with it. Seems that a lot of people fall into little traps and pitfalls after I play the opening, I presume because they are unfamiliar with it. I really like that it is so solid defensively during the beginning of the game. It makes games last longer and gets me to middle game tactics more often, thus it is increasing my skills at that part of the game. It may not be the best for expert players, but it's great for beginners. Thanks again, I like watching all the games in this event, so the last one would be nice to complete the whole thing!
I didn't have a good feeling about this game. Very enjoyable and suspenseful nevertheless. Yes, please show to consolation game video. I'm hoping the next video is a rematch with Frank as that would be kind of fitting since the last time between you two ended from the accidental illegal move.
Charles, when correct others’ blitz moves, it is customary to start the comment with ‘aaaactually’. It’s better received that way, especially when you’re pointing out something obvious to someone of the female persuasion.
5:50 the best move for her was e5 because the queen is under attack and the rook so he will offcourse move the queen then she could kill the rook with her bishop
Time management continues to hold you back. Perhaps its's time to consult mom? But your still so young to be playing at this level. Proud of you sweetie.
You played well Anna...Seems like you like sprinting, to the finishing line...so train up your sprinting muscles...meaning train up your reflexes, train to make the best moves without much thought, like your hand makes the move quick like a robot....just like someone said of Fischer, he moves like a computer!
I think his tactics were to just run the clock down by distracting you. Throughout the whole game he is watching your clock. Too much chat for a 5 min game.
Anna, thank you for putting in the wins and the losses with running commentary. That really helps us club players!
I agree
Makes it real. Couldn't be moreso.
Yes! Great stuff!
"let me know if you want to see that round".... you expect any answer other than "yes!"? after we watched the rest of the tournament!
Anna making you work that algorithm
😂
you're right...I don't even play chess. Got nervous...didn't want to get tipped off as to how it concluded. Go Anna!
11:37 lol this part cracked me up ... Anna complimented him by saying "You're too fast " and gets the answer " You stressed me " xD xD
Congratulations to the Italian guy and yes, I for one would love to see the final match for you for 3rd place. And definitely have to agree that one should never, ever resign. Never give up, never give in... in chess and more importantly in life.

I couldnt agree more!
Your interaction at the end was very funny and wholesome! "You stressed me!" "No, you stressed me! I was completely winning."
The previous video and this one were simply amazing!

At 10:03 there was ..., Qxf1+ 2. Kxf1 Ba6+!! I was so happy I spotted that tactic a move earlier before Italian guy played Re3
I saw that during the game, too
"The Italian Guy" a/k/a "Arms" LOL
Dang, it's gotten to where every time I tune in to another of Anna's games, right away I'm afraid she's going to run out of time! Doesn't matter how good she plays if she's going to keep running out of time.
Interestingly, when she watches her mom play she always looks extremely concerned with how her time is running out.
OMGoodness... I discovered Anna today - and it's been a marathon of watching so many of her videos! Simply captivating - brings me back to the movie 'Queen's Gambit'
Loved that film! And love you as well Anna... Your parents must be so proud. xo
the narrative on these games is strangely compelling. Well put together videos !
to be fair in the previous match he was who had a winning game and made a blunder.
Great game! Blundering the rook was critical. But your mass attack in your endgame was terrific!
I so enjoy your games
@seheyt mentionned it : Qf1+ Kxf1 Ba6+ takes the rook back and leaves Anna with a bishop + 2 pawns advantage

Anna's greatest opponent... the clock. ⏰
Nice to see you finally playing with the guy obviously crushing on you!
The Italian Guy is great! What a good sport.. and nice fitting shirt.
That shirt! ❤
Too tight 😩
@@FrancescoSciaudone-up1vy I think I speak for everyone, we were hoping that you two went on a date after this.
I almost spat my coffee out when I thought I heard Anna announce she was playing in the semi-finals of a HUGE chest tournament in London 😂. They spar well together - cool game.
So glad Anna chose to show game(s) she lost as well. Definitely was a super entertaining game.
True testament to sportsmanship
YES! We want to see your last game in this tournament! This was exciting!
I love the chitchat between you and Italian guy i seen him on other videos to you two suit each other quite nicely and good game

0:19 where? 🤌🤌
classic Italian hands lol
He even says sorry when u said hes making you nervous. He likes yoiu a lot.

Du gör bra content och jag gillar att du berättar hur du tänker. Ser fram emot att se finalen
Very exciting and good to hear how you were thinking, its lika a third dimension on the board. Thanks.
Of course we want to see the next round!
Thank you for showing this game. Very interesting to see rematch.
It's a "match" made in heaven 😉
I was hoping that you would pull it out, but still congratulations to the Italian Guy.
YO???
Intense! Thanks for posting, Anna! Woo!
He was quietly upset, because he blew his ‘mating strategy’! 😂
Not necessarily.
It was never going to work 😉
Got the checkmate, but missed the mate.
Tiiiiime! But it was fun seeing that black&white bar to the left going up and down like a jojo. 😄
Great upload as always!
Had my heart racing at the end!!!
I like the chemistry between these two haha just sayin... ;)
As always another entertaining match. Thanks for sharing your blunders so we can learn from them. Yes we want to see your final match please.
it is a lesson about overthinking and how the games go a blunder contests at the end
by the way, the computer preferred h6 over g6. it was a tough lost and you were winning until the blunder that changed the fortune of the game.
Absolutely love these videos and your commentary. Keep it coming!
Not in the open.

I was screaming queen to d5 but Anna couldn’t hear me

00:50 why it is not a checkmate?
Black turn but he can't move. If a player can't do any legal move, but the king isn't threatened, it is stalemate.
I had no idea why you moved bishop back in the first place too... It's always great to have the rooks mutually defending each other with no pieces between. The bishop was also defending to rear pawn too. Even so it was a valiant come back attempt.

Hunky Italian man is so smitten with Anna. I think he wants to be Mr Anna Cramling.
Siri, what is "Projection"?
at 10:04 you missed queen takes rook on f1 then king takes queen and then bishop a6 check with a discovered attack on queen 😔
Do you think he wanted her to win and she missed it?
Anna losing on time...imagine that.
I hear her say to herself anna don't loose on time
Thank you for the spolier
Who reads the comments before watching the video? Weird
Why are you reading comments before watching the video? That seems like a blunder just like how she lost her rook.@@MrDanielfff777
I do while ads are playing, some do. A lot read while playing.

You missed Qxf1+ ... kxf1, Ba6+ and then his Queen was hanging. You would have been a rook and bishop vs a rook advantage
at 10:05
Great catch
@@RealTerrainHobbies Easy to spot with the engine going crazy haha
@@44r0n-9it’s actually an easy enough tactic, but of course it can be more easily missed when low on time😉

Plot twist the guy goes to change in a phone cell and comes out as enigma rey 😂
Never resign, Anna can always lose on clock.
I’ve never played chess…yet here I am three videos in! Great editing thanks!
These games seem so informal, considering they are championship games, but I am unfamiliar with how they work.
Anna is much better in the opening than the opponent.
I said LOOK AT THOSE ARMS BRUV
Finally the video. Go Italian Guy! :)
Oh Anna! sorry
When you shook hands, I thought I noticed a small spark of electricity, Anna. Hmmm.
Pobre chico italiano, que forma más cruel de decirle que no tiene posibilidades 🤣😅
Ni por su nombre le llamas jajaja :P
5:50 the best move for her was e5 because the queen is under attack and the rook so he will offcourse move the queen then she could kill the rook with her bishop
E5 gives her opponent a forced mate in 5.
He sacrificed 2 pawns at start of the game to get better piece movements.
Pretty evenly matched, and also . . .
Anyone knows the ambient background music used in this videos? Anyone, anything?
i dont know it im sorry to tell ya
I need to know too!
Well, when he said he wabts Anna to win the competition, he was just flirting, we can see now that he wants a lot to win!
Before Corona I had arms like him😢 unbelievably still struggling to be regular at the gym.
Very well presented! Enjoyable to watch & learn 😊
"you know, back in the old days..."

Wow,, what a match! Please show the final game.
Great content, Anna!
Legends say to this day Anna still doesn't know Italian Guy's name 😂
6:00 on Qh4 f6 I think there is Bxg6 followed by Qh8 Qh7
Yes please - would love to see the next game!
this dude is JACKED
OMG what a great fight!!
Can you be fair with your opponent and give us the name of that “Italian guy”!?
Proud to say I taught Francesco how to dirty flag 🤣
He's checking you as a mate
It’s great to hear your thoughts about each move!
you definitly "owe" that guy a date ^^
Chess speaks for itself
The loser of this game will have to jump from the tenth floor of a three story building.
No wine for you, Anna!
GG to the both of you
Enjoy your commentary so much. Chess Princess

So sorry that you were eliminated. Would love to see you get third and still be on the podium.
It feels like Anna really struggles with 0 increment, I think 3+2 time controls with 2-second increments would suite her style much better.
You had too many beers, Anna.
That Italian guy is a bodybuilder
Chemistry between you and "the Italian Guy" is quite entertaining and I might say magical. You should do a rematch.
Very nice videos!! Had a lot of fun watching :)
