As a beginner myself, I want to say thanks for doing the commentary on what you were thinking and the logic behind every move you made. I appreciate this!
As an intermediate player, I find your voice-overs very interesting. Being in time pressure sometimes makes it you don't see good moves. That's normal.
honestly, this was my favourite video of yours (i've probably only watched a dozen though) mainly due to the commentary and the illustrations with the arrows. I think it makes it much clearer to understand as you play. Great stuff, despite the loss, keep up the great work
The voice over was great! I wasn't sure who would pull it out in the end. He is indeed a strong player, it could have gone either way. I think this was one of the best ways to show a game. More please.
I love the music and the commentary. Although I’m not a great chess player your commentary makes me feel like I understand the position better because you break down what is happening in an easy to understand way. I found myself finding moves that I probably wouldn’t have normally because of the narrative quality of your commentary! This was an interesting game. I think, there was an inflection point where you were deciding to pressure his queen. I’m not sure if it would have worked, but I thought doubling your queen and king-side rook would’ve been better than pushing that pawn, because it seemed to open up the position in a way that benefitted him with his bishop on the long diagonal toward your king. I thought it would’ve also taken the pressure off of you because it’s a lower level chess move, but would’ve kept the position solid, taken off time pressure and allowed you to push your sizable advantage. I enjoy these chess videos!
Your voice over is perfect. .!! The addition of the music to the soundtrack is perfectly done, and your graphics are absolutely fantastic... (especially valuable for us beginners). Thanks so much for what you do..😊 and by all means please , please, please keep taking the extra time on the editing, - it makes it triply enjoyable for us ..!!
Thank you so much for explaining every move. I do not play chess, I only know the basics from when I was a child (too long ago😂) and my dad tried to get me into it. I have no idea how I ended up watching your videos and actually enjoining them!! At 50 now I want to learn how to play, one of my daughters likes chess so I might get into it and play with her just for fun (and mental agility & health hahaa) thanks to you and your videos! ❤️❤️❤️
I could never lead in such a high level game but it's great fun to follow the leaders. Thank you. Voice-over is a great addition. I'll be visiting this bar when next in Paris.
You can tell a lot about a person on how they handle themselves when they lose such an intense and close game. You are a good person, and an excellent chess player! Bravo!
That was so good. You almost won. Thank you for explaining your every move, I learn many tactics from your videos and hope I can reach a higher rating.
I'm very shocked that he won! Your position did look like you were winning to me, especially since you were also up on time. I never know what to think of the Blitz format. On the one hand it gives us very exciting games like this one, but on the other hand it often just comes down to who makes the first mistake under time pressure. Your opponent was surprisingly nimble with only a few seconds remaining to him.
I had the luxury of slowing the video and saw what he was doing. I've never played with a clock. Time apparently was Anna's downfall near the end. I thought she had him too. Thnx Anna, you've reinspiried me to play again. Haven't played competitively since high-school when our tennis coach made the whole team join the school chess club. His theory was, chess teaches how to think ahead several moves.
I like the commentary of your thought process throughout the game. I like to know what you see as your opportunities and threats as you play. I mostly watch to learn.
OUtstanding! Love the voice-over, the suspense, the entire presentation. I paused at times just for fun to make my own (terrible) moves and then see what you players did.
Well done Anna! Love your new format. Exciting to watch. The only thing I can think of that would make these videos better, is if you could juggle several balls... or eggs between moves... and maybe yodel!
I love your commentary and the background cinematic music you used, not only does it help me learn the game but it makes me feel like I'm watching an intense movie 😍😍
The voice over and background was a great addition to your video, congrats!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I’m wondering what did your Mom said about the match. All the best 💪🏼
I've watched you for a while now, and a consistent problem seems to be time management. Watching you brood over the board for 2 minutes early on is stressful, although more so for you, I imagine. Remember that perfection is the enemy of "good enough". You might do better overall by saving time and taking "good enough" in the early stages. The potential missed opportunity of accepting "good enough" could save you from a series of frantic compromises at end game. Also, thank you for your sophisticated choice of music. It's refreshing after hearing so much tooth gnashing Europop EDM watching football highlights.
Yes, do please keep commentating. Not only is it far more interesting, but getting an insight into how you're thinking, helps us improve our game play as well.
Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn! Your way of teaching chess is priceless, passionate and admirable. Thanks in deed for your content and dedication. Being a good teacher should be part of becoming a GM. I really enjoyed this commented video.
Your music is always so beautifully well-chosen and moody. A perfect counterpart to the intensity of the chess. Could you tell us what it the music is the video descriptions please?
The fact that you show games you've lost while still showing honor to the game and your opponent says a lot about your character. Those traits alone make you a grandmaster in my book. Even though you lost- you're still a winner. Keep gaming. Oh and- Suuuurrreeeee it's just Coke...😉
I'm no grand master, but I felt that your impression of how you were winning was ALWAYS wrong. I was surprised each time you said it. I don't think time trouble was the sole reason, I think the seeds for the downfall were always there.
5:57 u learn something everyday ... here I was always pronouncing it with an A... "en pAssan(t)" (silent T) but Anna is bold and uses an "i"...wow, from now on I will always say "en pissan(t)" just joking but that made me smile so much and I don't know why cuz I'm not 12 anymore :D Great match. Thanks
Love the colored arrows combined with your thoughts - yes definitely do more of these kinds of reviews
liking how you voiced and illustrated the moves and possible moves
Agreed!!!
As a beginner myself, I want to say thanks for doing the commentary on what you were thinking and the logic behind every move you made. I appreciate this!
Every competition comes down to who makes the fewest errors. You didn't lose, he beat you.
As an intermediate player, I find your voice-overs very interesting. Being in time pressure sometimes makes it you don't see good moves. That's normal.

10:45 "he started to play very quickly" - dude makes normal move, while Anna is starring at chessboard for almost 2 minutes :D
He will most likely become a new GM soon.
Yes, continue the game commentary because it is great teaching.
This content is EXCEPTIONALLY good. Real time game analysis with natural and humorous commentary blended in effortlessly. Just fantastic.
I could never lead in such a high level game but it's great fun to follow the leaders. Thank you. Voice-over is a great addition. I'll be visiting this bar when next in Paris.
this is a great video - very instructive and helpful commentary by Anna. I hope for some more like this in the future.

*Ill agree the narration style showing the arrows is very helpful to us lower rated players to see ideas in certain positions*
Thank you Anna for being humble. Sometimes we loose. Sometimes we win.
I like the voice over!!
he really put his fingers into her drink at the end (14:18) xD
Well done Anna! Love your new format. Exciting to watch. The only thing I can think of that would make these videos better, is if you could juggle several balls... or eggs between moves... and maybe yodel!
At 3:19, he should’ve made that Queen move to h4… Any continuation is lethal for White.
0:28 "It was at this moment that she knew she fucked up."
Anna keep doing this format with your explanations, it is amazing!!!!
I love the commentary and how you explain what you're thinking. I don't play chess so this helps immensely
Just love these commentaries. So much to learn. Thank. You.
Best way to show your thought process. Really enjoyed watching it in this format!
What a nightmare! I love the fact you were smiling after. I hate losing games like this so much.
Your voice over really is helping me see!
I love your commentary and the background cinematic music you used, not only does it help me learn the game but it makes me feel like I'm watching an intense movie 😍😍
And btw if you fuck up when you have little time he didn't "get lucky to win the game" he was simply better
She learned and grew through that experience
The voice over and background was a great addition to your video, congrats!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I’m wondering what did your Mom said about the match.
All the best 💪🏼
After Qd8, R*f5 decides the game instantly.
Beautiful commentary, indeed a thriller.
I love the voice over. It makes it much easier to follow the game, plus it's fun!
That was Suspenseful. I do love the Voiceovers Anna. 😊

As a beginner, I am beyond grateful about hearing the toughts and planning❤Thanks!!
he did not sleep that night. he beat two grandmasters
This was instructive and excellent, please make more of this. It is interesting that you were giving a lecture, which Silman would be proud of you.
The voice over was fantastic. Edge of my seat stuff 🙌
Great and instructive. Thank you, Anna!
This was the best chess commentary experience ever for me. This video made you a winner in my book. Gg
Great VO style, going into your thought process, more please.
Honestly, I don’t know chess at all. Not a little, but the narration always tells a story. Nicely done, on all.
Yes, do please keep commentating. Not only is it far more interesting, but getting an insight into how you're thinking, helps us improve our game play as well.
Great voiceover- I loved hearing your thought process
Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn! Your way of teaching chess is priceless, passionate and admirable. Thanks in deed for your content and dedication. Being a good teacher should be part of becoming a GM. I really enjoyed this commented video.
yes more of this kind of style reviews it makes it feel like a movie that we are all in with you.
Chess genius starts with "we shaked hands". Ah, kids.
Knight C6 seems to have overextended Anna's position.
Started a game with king and queen reversed? Wow is there an official rule on this?
Fantastic voice over!! Dramatic!
'Random Bar is a chess tournament'. It's just like the average random Bar in my country, except we have no chess or chairs. Just beer and dirt.
Goes to show that you just cannot think for 1:45 if you have only 2:00 left! No matter if you find the best move, you will blow the rest.
I'm surprised he took that much time to play f5, which gave you a nice passed pawn on the e
Fun fact: Shenanigans
From the Irish word "sionnachuighim" meaning trickery or mischief
One little wrong move, that's the way it goes.
lmao good for him. He was completely lost in that position.
Your music is always so beautifully well-chosen and moody. A perfect counterpart to the intensity of the chess. Could you tell us what it the music is the video descriptions please?
You shouldn't feel sad, Anna. Everyone loses sometimes. And he was obviously a stronger player than 2100
That why castle is good, just for some time...King also need a ride at the time, so need a space, to go out the other way :)
The hardest game to win is a won game... Interesting game and recap. Good job, Anna.
👍 Complete thumbs up to the voice over narration.
Do it as much as you can.
Congrats Novak Djokovic!!
Definitely want too see more matches like this.
this game is sort of the story everybody tells about Las Vegas ... "I was winning ........... then I don't know what happened"
No, you are right. Shenanigans is a GREAT Chess word, Anna!
Shenanigans: secret or dishonest activity or manoeuvring.
Thank you Anna. So much pressure! Whew! You go get them, I really enjoy watching your games.
He shook his head
very good kind of videos we dont know who wins until the very end taht the point of it keep it up
I enjoy watching you analyze your losses. Lots to learn
The commentary makes this video so special
This is great !! I 💕 this format
Please 🙏 continue
Yup, moving queen 👑 back was mistake, h3 was the move
Yes I love this format and seeing your thought process
you handled your emotions very well, id throw the board 😂
Thanks for showing the losses too!! I’m sure you got better from this! I loved it
I love this new format!! Keep it up!
Subscribed at last, due to the added educational commentary!
The rook was not a sacrifice as your queen will be defenseless by then.
The fact that you show games you've lost while still showing honor to the game and your opponent says a lot about your character. Those traits alone make you a grandmaster in my book. Even though you lost- you're still a winner. Keep gaming.
Oh and- Suuuurrreeeee it's just Coke...😉
very impressive, well done! your passion for the game is very refreshing, keep up the great work!
Wow! what fun! enjoyed the commentary so much.
This was great - please do more.
Remember, It's only a board game
Yes, voice-over as much as you want. Cheers!
Great video, most people won't post games they don't win, but you're a big person.
When she wins it's skill, when the opponent wins it's luck
Not a chess player but the voiceover works well for me.
This would've been a much more interesting game with a more relaxed (or absent) time constraint.
I'm no grand master, but I felt that your impression of how you were winning was ALWAYS wrong.
I was surprised each time you said it.
I don't think time trouble was the sole reason, I think the seeds for the downfall were always there.
You win some. You lose some
Oh Anna! My heart was breaking for you!
Love the game and the commentary. Could you please do a video post analysis and how you would have won the game and where you made the mistakes?
5:57 u learn something everyday ...
here I was always pronouncing it with an A... "en pAssan(t)" (silent T) but Anna is bold and uses an "i"...wow, from now on I will always say "en pissan(t)"
just joking but that made me smile so much and I don't know why cuz I'm not 12 anymore :D Great match. Thanks
