    Andrei, great info! A quick one - how do you avoid overheating? Do you shoot short clips and frequently shut the camera down (manually or via Auto turn off) or do you leave it on? I find that I can record over 20 minutes in highest quality INTERNALLY, but only 10-12 if I connect an additional monitor/recorder, such as my Atomos Ninja V . Which is very weird, shouldn't it heat LESS with workload shifted to the Ninja? ☹

    • @AndreiDimaReviews
      @AndreiDimaReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, I usually shoot short clips, I shoot internally at 200mbs and I never had overheating problems, even here in Spain where it gets really hot. Externally, the camera still does some processing so it is normal to heat up but not that fast. Try shooting ProRes 422, change the HDMI, use just the IBIS and not the digital stabilization and boost. What SSD do you use with the Ninja V? Tell me what settings you are using.

      @@AndreiDimaReviews Yo, thanks for the quick reply, I appreciate it 😉. I am using a Samsung EVO disk, cable is a bit older, might be an 1.4 HDMI (as I cannot seem to get more than 4K 30fps to the Ninja) but newer, 2.0 coiled one is on the way. I only ever use "regular" IBIS and I even tried with IBIS turned off, which did seem to improve the issue.
      My biggest concern is actually not shooting extra long takes (like stage shows, interviews, etc.), in fact I also shoot shorter clips. BUT, what I definitely would like is to be able to keep everything powered on to just "monitor" things. It seems that even just monitoring/being in stand by mode also overheats the camera.

      @AndreiDimaReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, did the new HDMI solved the problem? You can try and record just on the ssd and not on both ssd and sd card (internaly).

    • @alexander.starbuck
      @alexander.starbuck 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AndreiDimaReviews Yo! :) still waiting for the cable to arrive. Also, I've been extensively and methodically testing the camera and/or camera+ssd options and resolutions. It --might-- have to do with the IBIS being turned on, but I still cannot reliably reproduce the overheating problem. For the past couple of days, it seems that the camera works over 30min continuous SSD recording, without overheating! 🤘🏻

    I'm new to Fujifilm, I just bought Fuji X-T4. I don't know how to set up HLG for Video? I can't find a tutorial on youtube. Please help, Thanks.

    • @AndreiDimaReviews
      @AndreiDimaReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, in the movie settings go to F-Log/HLG recording option and click ok, now select the last option named HLG. If the HLG option is grey, go to movie settings and select file format, there select the H265 (HEVC) codec and redo the first step. Keep in mind that the HLG option works only from ISO 1000 so you should use an Nd filter.
