I always find myself using Shazam to identify the musuc in your videos and playing them back. I'm starting to see how much work these videos must be. Thanks for all you do.
Thanks for the nice feedback, Frank. I think when it's a hobby (which my channel definitely is!) and you enjoy the bit of creativity in terms of stringing clips together, it doesn't really feel like work. Happy cycling!
Cheers, Daz. Yes, a great little route with a bit of everything. Didn't film as much due to fading light and tired legs but the high level bridleway/tracks from the top of the Coal Road around Gt Knoutberry I think have some of the best views in the Dales. Enjoy the cycling this weekend if you're out! 🙂
Hello I have watched your other video (bank holiday ride) last night . You have really inspired me to get out there and enjoy that lovely scenery on two wheels. I have even been looking up accommodation up there! It would be a far cry from London! I m not really a montain biker more road and trails so would have to beef up on fitness but it is something I m determined to do. Look forward to seeing your other videos. Oh sorry would you mind mentioning what Go Pro you use as I have just brought one and have yet to test it out in differing environments. Just subscribed. Thanks for the upload 😊
Hi Juliet. Great to have you following along and thanks! I use a 'GoPro Hero 8 Black' which is a few years old now but still going strong. They pick up a lot of wind noise but you can get foam wind covers off Amazon for a few quid and they work pretty well. If you make it up to the Dales have a great trip! Happy cycling!
Appreciate the nice feedback, Jason and thanks for following along. I use Komoot to plan some of my rides and if anyone asks on a video I will make the route public if I can. You should be able to find me on Komoot and grab the gpx from there ('Mountain bike ride to Dent'). If you do it, let me know what you think. Happy cycling!
Great vlog as always, stunning in winter I may be wrong but that helmet looks like it doesn't fit, your forehead is nearly all exposed. Just my view but take a look 😊
Thanks, Brian. I see what you mean about the helmet. I'm generally happy with the fit but wondering if I maybe didn't adjust it quite right to accommodate the hat underneath. Hard to recall and it felt okay on the day, but I'll be mindful of this on future rides. Interestingly (having just checked) it covers about a half to 3/4 of a centimetre less of my forehead than my road lid (which is a much newer purchase). I think the newer lids are much more 'head-hugging'. Appreciate the comment. Happy cycling!
Thanks! I think it's this one (if I remember right!) - www.komoot.com/tour/1426476415?share_token=alfbDkbGfJ8ERLUiW9e4vPYHtWsSIKXGF38kaQUM0xvC222wvR&ref=wtd Happy cycling!
@@onemorecyclist amazing, thank you! I’ve actually spent a good part of tonight on Google Earth and Komoot trying to replicate your ride and I’d decided the best thing to do was get the OS map and try to work it out myself so you’ve saved me quite a bit of effort. That descent into Deepdale!
Your routes make my roads less bumpy and weather more tolerable.
I'm always amazed at how an area with few trees can be so beautiful.

That view on the descent into Dent was spectacular. It looked like a cracking route you planned there 👍

I'm now homesick to the max!!
Oops! Looking forward to catching up on your tour north videos later. 🙂
What a refreshing change. Someone not using a mobility bike.

Great vid, do you have the gpu file for this ride?
Thanks, Steve. I've just set the route to public on Komoot so you should be able to grab the gpx from there.
@@onemorecyclist Thanks Martin👍

That was great! I’m doing that. Just checked Komoot but I can’t see your route, though
