Great down to earth video, thanks. I haven’t been up there on the MTB for years…like 35 years! I’m going up there tomorrow to do a 10-12 mile trail run from Muker, so it’s given me a nice refresher. Can’t believe you laid your bike down on the rear mech mind! 😖😂
Great video after seeing it on your Strava feed a while back - worth the wait!! You can do Gunnerside Gill as a clockwise loop starting in Gunnerside, heading up a steady double track climb to Botcher Gill Gate and then a brilliant descent down to Lownathwaite Mines. If you follow the bridleway down on the other side of Gunnerside Beck it brings you out at the bottom of Bunton Hush, the rest of it is on the video back to above Gunnerside. Not ridden it for a while but still ranks as one of my favourite rides and recommend it to anyone new to riding in this area.
@@TrailFinder cheers Andy, going for a bash down there this afternoon. Will be the first time in a couple of years, I actually filmed it back then and still haven't made a video of it!!
Brilliant video! It’s great riding around Reeth area. If you go to the right at the cross road sign you pop out at some beautiful old mine workings, cross the stream and up the opposite grassy climb and there’s a big mining track loop back down to the River Swale , it’s stunning!
Lots in the gunnerside area to explore. Going to spend a day there hike a biking back up and hitting them all repeatedly. And thanks mate. I love vids like this. Just 2 mates out for a ride having fun
Another great video as usual 👍👍👍 Love that area of Swaledale. Some of my favourite trails. But I always seem to struggle to find the trail into Gunnerside, seem to take a different one every time I go.
I've just done part of this ride a few weeks ago and I never rode bunton hush I never knew it was there but I know now thanks for the video.. Your mate John is top draw could sit and have a pint with him anytime 😂👍🏻
@@TrailFinder thanks for the tip, but as it’s a footpath & more importantly that I am on an eMTB (the same as your mate John’s actually) it’s no hassle going up grassy slopes, especially if it’s still dry
@@TrailFinder yes I agree I'm sure there will be another track to lead us to the same route. We did your Elterwater lough Rigg terrace oxon fell ride the other month and yes what a fantastic ride that was. The only horrible bit was the climb after the lake side track there was 3 or 4 trees blown down, which meant a struggle to push the bikes around up the hillside. Apart from that it was a dam good show No where near your 3hrs 🤣 we make a day of it and enjoy the views abit like a bus tour🤣🤣
Maybe take a look at the map and go up the footpath that’s just before the unridable grass bridleway. Not sure why the footpath is a footpath as it changes to a bridleway further up.
Your right there mate. Most new riders to the sport are ebikers I think😂 although johns been riding for years. And he will agree with this if he reads it. The older he’s getting the more cautious he’s getting And thanks. Glad you enjoyed it

Looks like a great trail, 12.30 min looks like a blast. another one to add to my list. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks for shairing.... this is proper mountain biking....
Your welcome Robert

Top video as usual Andy. 👌🏼
Excellent comment from John regardingt that bridleway "Even the sheep, don't use it". 😂
Keep the great vid's rolling. 👍🏼
Cheers Gary. John comes out with some funny stuff 😂

Thanks for the tip mate. Got lots to explore around the area
A fantastic proper natural biking adventure, love the look of those trails, great video mate, what's not to love 👍

I've been watching your channel for at least two years and that's the first time I've seen your face 🤣🤣
😂😂 I show it on instagram. But only the 2nd time on TH-cam. Unless I’m on someone else’s video 😁
Another great video as usual 👍👍👍

Great trails on a lovely countryside! Fun day :)

He rang me earlier about your message. He liked what you said. You now have a reason to revisit, now you know it’s there
Looks ace. Hope got try it later this week. Thanks for the Strava .gpx
Take a look at a map and maybe take the footpath back up instead of that horrible grass track that I did. It’s about half a mile before
@@TrailFinder thanks for the tip, but as it’s a footpath & more importantly that I am on an eMTB (the same as your mate John’s actually) it’s no hassle going up grassy slopes, especially if it’s still dry
What a great ride 👍
Why did you skip the two best bits of the mine descent?
Why do you think? It’s pretty obvious!
Nice vid mate, been a few years sunce I've been down BH. Was very techy.
Butty looked good too 😀
Thanks mate. Bet you knew what was in my sandwiches before I even said it 😂 ALWAYS Ham and cheese
@@TrailFinder haha
Love it Andy!
Thanks mate
Rode Bunton Hush today, it’s pretty eye opening.. The bridleways to the right at the bottom back up to the top are all a shitty hike.
Them hand gestures 👍👍👍
Not to far from me I'll use your gpx to do that
Go for it mate. Maybe miss the grass climb if it’s wet

It’s just not fair….not a stinging nettle or bramble in sight. 😄
😂😂
Learners on ebikes must be the new thing 🤣
Excellent vid btw, looks ace.

It will be effort less with a E bike.
That’s why I don’t own one. I want the effort and the challenge
