Any update or pictures of your van mate? As im looking to make almost an ideantical layout as the one you suggested. Just with a slide out double bed. Im interested in what seats you added and the space left for the toilet/ shower area. Many thanks again. Simon. 😊
Thanks for your great review, I have that van on my list too and the dimensions are perfect. 2 years on from this I'm interested in how you've got on with it mechanically - I was going to go Transit but the wet belt issue has put me off. Could this van be frying pans and fires?
Thanks for the tip. To be honest I've gone off normal tea altogether now. I've started drinking green tea with lemon. Not a life choice just a taste one.
When you measured across the van for the bed and you said it was 71 inches or 6ft 1” What the Measurement across the van beyond the plywood to gain the maximum width as I’m seriously considering buying a Citroen relay because my sprinter van is 61 inches maximum and the bed or i should say mattress is 63”” so in the end I bought a foam mattress and it’s uncomfortable as hell sheets don’t fit si I’m now thinking sprinter get rid and buy a Citroen relay as we love seaside trips Looking forward to your reply Dave.,,
Hi. Sorry it's late. I've only just seen this message. I did manage to get a full double mattress in with just a little tightness in the corners due to the upright supports. There's still room for some minimal insulation too. Just a thought though. I know that IKEA beds and bedding is made to their own sizes. I couldn't tell you 8f they come out longer or shorter but it's worth checking that if you haven't already. Could save you changing the whole van.
Well the sprinter Iv got is getting a bit old. But it is a fantastic van tho it’s not old old but on a 2011 plate and only on 120.000 miles so someone will snap it up. And I need a project to keep my brain occupied. And I like the boxer vans
Hi thanks for asking. I can't pretend it's anything like finished but I have made what i think can be described as significant progress. Enough that I was able to spend a few nights in it down in Cornwall making vids for my other channel. I'm tied up with other things at the moment but i hope to get a video done soon showing all progress to date.
Hi thanks for asking. It's still a work in progress and I'd say about half done. I will put a new video up soon showing my progress. Are you building one yourself?
@@missionmotorhome9913 I'm looking for a van to buy at the moment, probably going to go with a Boxer due to the width and the prices for Euro 6 don't seem too bad. Looking forward to your update.
I bought a Fiat Talento, the worst mistake I ever made. The Turbo failed after approximately 13000 miles, the van has only now done 17000 miles and it will cost £1000 for a new Turbo and £2500 labour to fit it within the Stellantis network. Terrible quality in my opinion.
Thanks mate, this is the only post on TH-cam that answers my question 👍
Thanks for the comment. That's the whole point of making the video so at least I know there was a point to it.

So what's the update? I'm really interested as I'm looking to do the same build.
was hoping you would discuss differences between the branding, are they identical apart from the badges, or have different engine options / trims etc?
As far as I know there are a couple of extra engine options with the Fiat but otherwise identical.
Apparently the Fiat only comes with the Fiat engine.

Hi, great informative video. Can also I ask where you got that magnetic work light from?
Keep going mate you're doing well.
I am 192cm and van is 193cm height. Great.
ask for the milk on the side ;) in a little espresso cup. and make sure you get them to leave the teabag in!

I expected a comparison...

I am doing the same thing in the same van........why is everyone doing this...I know why I am doing it ?
Probably because buying one already done is so expensive.
