One nugget of information is the External temperature sensor MUST be in operation for the DPF to regenerate.
I noticed the external temp reading was blank and there were DPF invoices.
The external temp sensor is in the drivers wing mirror and will be a little nipple on the underside of the mirror.
Chances are it’s either damaged or it’s been replaced with a aftermarket mirror that didn’t include the temp sensor.
Well done my friend, I was just about to comment on this but then I seen your comment 😁👍
About 56.oo pounds delivered from E bay. i got one and its fine

This can be very detrimental. Mine went faulty then read 51c on the dash. It was driving like a breakdown was imminent 😮
That’s been very helpful, well explained and easy to understand. Thank-you
What a great, informative video, thank you
1st thing to do when buying any French car is inform your doctor they will provide you with a list of symptoms you will encounter these are (1) confusion (2) sleeplessness (3) anxiety and irritability (4) Peugeot rash aka self harming (5) depression leading to erectile dysfunction
Good advice. Anyone ever remove the oil cap or dip stick to check for smoke as a result of blow by?
At 5:58 what are you looking at to see that the oil is full? I can't see any oil level indicator on the dash?
Other than the wing mirror sensor as below comment, They all crunch the gears, i had one with 7000 miles 5th crunched, same with one just stolen 19000 miles and every Citroen fiat etc The box will crunch a bit depending how you drive it,
not a bad introduction to buying one of these, but one of the main problems with these vehicles, despite nearly 20yrs of production, are the poorly designed, and leaking skuttle drains, which have been likely badly neglected by the previous to give flooding in the engine bay. with obviously dire consequences. Any signs of moisture move onto another inspection
So check for leaks check the paperwork
Just a few major issues then 😂
I have the 2.2 hdi on a 2016 model Citroen Relay. The engine cuts out at speed on motorways as I slow down. Go figure. Junk.
i have this van i fill up the header tank every day i have no idea where the water is going i was hoping you would say this is another common problem and where to look but no
Although it need to be diagnosed, here are some questions to help you:
Is the coolant clean or gunky? If gunky potential head gasket problem.
Are there bubbles in the coolant when engine is running? Sign that coolant is pressurising and head gasket problem.
You could well have a leak but head gaskets are also common issues on these. Probably around £1500-£2000 to fix.
Hope this helps.
@@huntswoodcommercials6617 water is clear no bubbles engine runs fine no lack of power is there a gas anylizer i can put on the header tank cap to test for combustion gases i know this works on petrol vehicles is there one for diesel engines? also this van is not mine i did get it brand new and i have done 152,000 miles in it over 4 years i am on 3rd water pump as these days they use glue to to keep the impeller on the shaft not a pin good for them i cant see the guy i hire it from doing a head gasket cuz it,s out of warranty
Running the fule tank near empty not a good habit
Are the older 2.2s better?
Wondering the same
At 5:57 Temp Gauge -_____C not showing ?
Yes and must be in operation for the DPF to regenerate.
Buying that van is buying a DPF failure in the near future.
No doubt airbag light on/airbag module is a common fault
So basically don't buy one. Shame cos I was just about to buy a Citroen Relay but not after this.
Don’t buy anything at all, less van man’s - more jobs for us 😉
Its not pronounced Hatch its Atch.... specific video for 2lr Van so turned off as soon as you start on about HPI....
@@user-ek8ey7pz9m what in gods great earth are you going on about?
If you had the concentration to watch past the first minute or so the video perhaps would have had a modicum of use to you..
these are absolute garbage - relay, boxer, movano, ducato. All Fiat underneath with stereotypical Fiat "reliability" ie zero. It'll cost you more than the van is worth to keep it on the road. Everything breaks on them and everything is at least a grand to fix once you factor in labour and VAT. Just avoid them and get a Sprinter.
Had Sprinters, they break just as often and cost even more to fix!! 😆
Nice..insult me..cool...if you didn't clickbait ( AKA lie) Im sure I could have watched the rest without being sick in my mouth
You need to improve your camera skills and stop keep moving camera about I just change to a better video
