How did you manage to skip where Lust offers Fury information on the whereabouts of Envy (who by all intents and purposes should be already inside the talisman) in exchange for safe passage? I mean this is SUCH an important clue in the story of Darksiders 3, that Envy is still out there.
Yes, and the fact that Fury didn't raise ANY red flags when Lust said that, is weird, cuz Fury still remembers killing Envy... in the VERY beginning??? Like did you get amnesia, Fury? What's up.

You're lieng to yourself. Just like how you think black panther and captain marvel were good. They weren't. Neither was this game. It is utter trash, design and story wise. Full of gimics and cliche plots that were left unsolved and uninspiring for a 4th game. It's a disgrace to even call this anything more than a failed picture book. Terrible game. Terrible you.
@@jerrysmith8326 Black Panther and Captain Marvel were pulled down by today's political climate. I don't see what shit phase MCU movies have to do with Darksiders though. This game was very well made. It made up for its smaller budget by implementing tremendous story and even further story potential. I know everyone will hate me for this, but narratively speaking this game shits all over the newest God of War for instance. That game literally consisted of pure happenstance, which is a terrible tool for writing. This game was pushed forward by multiple plotting entities on all sides, just as the first and second were. While D2 will likely always remain the best, D3 is a welcome addition if only for its story, and there was much more to enjoy about it. I'll never forget Strife's reveal.
The foreshadowing that Jones was Strife (or at least something not human) was there but very subtle such as he always refers to humans as "them"; somehow knows about the Balance; and somehow knows what a Maker is.
It’s important to note that during Darksiders 3, the Well of Souls is not yet claimed by The Destroyer. The Well is integral for both forces of heaven and hell as their souls are sent to the Well and their essence reincarnated. This is why they goto the Lord of Hollows, because he is the only being who can break that cycle. In Darksiders 2, when Death goes to Earth, it is explained that once the Destroyer acquired the Well and had his tower completed - Hell took charge of life and death and thus the angels lost the ability to reincarnate. The Hellguard (lead by Uriel) we’re being hunted and systematically wiped one by one as the legions of Hell grew while those Angelic were fading. Darksiders 2’s Belial DLC also I think ties into Darksiders 3, a human claims to Death that he sold out his compatriots to Belial in hopes of being spared. I think the human’s former caravan are those of Haven.
Death had also not completed his journey so the Nephilim have not yet been resurrected like Lilith (seen at the end of Darksiders 3 post credits) suggested to Death. It’s why in the post credits of Darksiders 2, Lucifer attacks Lilith.
Another great Darksiders Lore vid! Just finished the game for the first time myself a couple days ago... liked it a lot. Story is a bit weak but the game overall was a good entry in the franchise (especially considering the circumstances).
That was the moment I realized Fury wasn't as much of an ass as I thought. Even she realized that was pure flattery and that her brothers would never kneel to her.
I wonder out of all those who said Fury is an awful lead and has no character, depth or storyline, how many of them actually played the game in it's entirety. I'm pretty sure around after she killed the 4th or 5th sin and then when she confronted Lord of Hollows, I think the switch really flipped in her mind and her character growth has been immense since then. Even when she snapped out of the illusion with the other horseman, and just for her to say 'YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE MADE THEM KNEEL' shows you that behind all the loud and brash facade, she does respect and care for her brothers. Furthermore, just the whole final battles and scenes alone, she's completely changed and grown. To say Darksiders 3 lacks in storyline and character development is a bit harsh in my opinion! Fury's really grown on a lot of people I think. I also think in terms of combat system, it is that way too isn't it? As you get more hollows.
In my first playthrough I had no idea I would not get forcibly pulled to the Lord of Hollows again for the last time. He pulls you in every single time except for the last one... I feel that was a silly design choice by the devs. So sadly I missed the true endings my first playthrough (going to fix it on my second but still think it was a poor decision as not everyone wants to play twice).
@@doublehit9165 - No, it is simply becasue it is a somewhat hidden and non-necessary mission. Also I meant him pulling her to him...not forcing her away. You are not supposed to fight him but in either case he will still go through his "Becoming"... also his becoming is not a weakened state but rather his final state after collecting power over the eons from consuming souls.
I had no high expectations for Darksiders 3 since alot of game magazines bashed it pretty hard but after i played it myself i can now say that this game is in my opinion the best of the franchise so far.
.... There was no story, her character arc was forced, and the combat is mediocre. There was nothing new to learn in any meaningful way. Maybe the hollowed one shows up in a future game. And that relic does something cool.
Yooo, when I played the game, Abraxis was mentionned once by the Lord of Hollows, then I totally forgot about him and never heard of him after, I didn't even encounter him.
kradrol it’s not really that far out of the way. He’s a little bit before the first tornado encounter in the scar but I found him by accident by just exploring. If your ONLY following the compass, then yes you will skip him.
I’m upset that didnt get to go back to fight him afterward. It’s a mandatory replay just fight him. At least in DSII, you could restart on the same file so you were playing through having officially beaten the game. Now, I’m just wondering. I doubt I’ll play through it again any time soon.
He is referred to as the dark one, the prince of lies, the dark prince etc and lilth said on darksiders 2 to death she is drawn to power and yes samael is the 2nd most powerful demon who is the 1st? Lucifer and the creator is god.
Wait wait wait...the son of a hammer Ulthane was involved in the conspiracy that bamboozled war in the first place! The turn coat bastard better have his come-up-ins...humanity does not forgive. Humanity does not forget!
Around the net it seems they have to sell 100K copies for the game to be considered successful. Apparently they sold 71K copies just on PC, just on Steam, during 1 week. I think Darksiders 4 is already greenlit.
Confirmed now that they're looking into making a fourth. Good thing is that considering they already have the engine, a similar budget would lead to a far greater production quality game. If they maintain the same inspiration and motivation that they had for D3, then D4 will be a masterpiece!
I know people think the Heroes journey and the Heroine’s journey are divided narratives, but to that I say… the Heroic Path is walked by many and begins with just a first step.
Fury’s journey and growth throughout the game made me appreciate it even more. She went from being arrogant and believing herself entitled to lead the Horsemen, into a more humble and courageous individual towards the end. She gets beaten, bruised and broken only to have to rely on the “feeble” Humans to pick herself up again; “Humanity are in need of a protector. And you are in need of a new purpose. Am I wrong?”
I just wish the plot wasn't so trite. Countless thousands of years and no basic life lessons until now? But that art style doesn't exactly scream subtle character focus so I suppose it fits. Really satisfying to play despite the plot inadequacies.
Fury and Strife should have been Famine and Pestilence. Pestilence could keep the same design as Strife just add a little green and rot, and give him a poison damage overtime gameplay Famine could probably somehow keep the same design as Fury, just make her look super hungry. Then have her gameplay revolve around life steal
I’m still trying to figure out what the Tempest was and why it said “ Thank You.” This game was so fun the bosses had great designs and hollows all had distinct feels.
Considering that "Fury" isn't even a set in stone horsemen(only War and Death are the same in all variations while both Strife and Fury are more commonly called Pestilence and Famine... but I understand that Strife and Fury sound and work better as characters for the game and comic) never did make a lot of sense for "Fury" to be leading the Horsemen(even if it was mostly just attempts to stroke her ego and make her play ball with someone's plan). But overall not a bad game. Liked how it tied into the first one. The Sins were interesting as was her self reflection for each Sin. And very much raising my expectations we will be seeing game 4 and Strife very soon.
I spared both Abraxis and the Lord of Hollows. As such I didn't see Lilith's reaction to the alternate angry Lucifer. That was funny as hell lol! (no pun intended) (P.S. If the Lord of Hollows is the Lord of Hollows, is he your lord also Ashen Hollow? A question for the philosophers.)
they have to do atleast 4 games since there's 4 horsemen and if they did make a 5th one id reckon it would be all 4 horsemen together and each chapter u play as which ever horsemen the chapter belongs too or maybe it will have 4 campaigns were u play as all 4 horsemen each
Why am i here you wonder? Well i had just beaten lust and was sweeping through past areas to find any secrets. Teleporting to a new area only to find me falling through the map and dying. Once i respawned i realized my hair wasn't glowing red so i clicked the corresponding buttons to get my fire back... But no response tried the others nothing. Checked my inventory to find nothing no items no weapons nothing. I was even missing key items such as the human transport and the sin container. Game breaking glitch...
I like both war and death. Wars abyssal armor looks better compared to death. Darksiders 2 how ever still remains the better game of the 3. The looting system was a bonus imo. Hope darksiders 4 will have loot systems as well. Since i did not like not being able to change armor sets like darksiders 2 in 3. Also builds. Necromancer in darksiders 2 is fun.
I am really confused about one thing. Why would the council themselves release the seven deadly sins, and make Envy Fury's watcher? What was their plan? Did Envy kill the watcher and take her place in secrecy? And if that did happen how on earth did Fury (or we) not see it? Or maybe the council stroke a deal with Envy to see to the fact that Fury kills the sins and then Envy can kill Fury to take the power of all other sins as she did (at least thought she did), but the power was not enough for her. It was kinda stupid nonetheless. Another thing, when Envy "takes the power of Fury" what did she take exactly? because when they fight, it seemed like Fury had everything the same.
Envy was in disguise all the time, but the council knows she was she from the start, and she decide to follow fury on their own. The plan was to keep fury imprisoned on earth to deal with angels demons and deadly sins until she will be killed. Thats why they killed her horse Rampage. When envy used the seal to absorb fury powers it had to weaken her a lot absorbing the power of her hollows so if envy had used it 5 times in a row she will had died and not only weakened. Nad besides to imprison her soul her body must be dead first.
Just had a question, I hope someone knows that! It is revealed that the Destroyer arrives at the end of DS3, and later on destroys Earth, therefore the events of DS1 occur afterwards. But does DS2 happen before or after that? My logic is that Death has either revived the humans from total annihilation after the events of DS1 or the humans that Fury saves are literally the only ones remaining after Death has sacrificed himself? And also, does that mean that Death (and even perhaps Strife) are dead? Either way, the story has been more than worthy of a DS4. Personally I love all of them, but War and his one liners is my absolute favourite. And DS1's ending still gives me the chills.
I wonder how they will tackle strife’s game like if it will be a third person shooter, FPS or if it will keep similar combat to the other games but focus more on ranged attacks that you don’t have to aim only lock on with
So... is the fights between abraxis and/or Lord of Hollows something that happens depending on difficulty? I got through game and didn't see Abraxis at all. Or is it a skippable thing and I just missed it? Admittedly I played through on Easy cause i suck at dodging and got tired of having to redo alot of fights.
3 Questions :P 1 @18:20 "Silence the traitor"? he meant Abraxis? 2 who was Lilith talking to in the end? was it Lucifer? 3 I thought the Council was destroyed by Fury how come at 18:30 he still mentioned the council? Thank you very much!
1 The traitor is The Lord of Hollows as he was a demon, then a Charred Counsel member, and finally The Lord of Hollows. 2 It was Lucifer 3 She only temporarily stunned them so she could escape. There is no rule that states those statues are their actual forms, they could be their version of a Skype call.
Does anyone know what happens if you don't kill Abraxis and do kill the master of hollows, or let them both live as a matter of balance, or even vice verse?

I think im missing something but if we Killed Envy in the beginning and put her in the talisman then how was the watcher Envy all along? At one point did they "switch" places
I think that the item that the lord of the hollows gave to fury is the "human power seals" which contains a power similar to nephilim race who belongs to human race and when they were ready and the seal vroken they could acquire those power and figt for a place in the balance.
Aren't these two makers with Ulthane are the same makers we meet in Darsiders2? That also explains how the got one of Strife's pistols (the one that was given to Death).
i compleated the game without the relic from the king of hollows, dont know why i dident get the option, but think i just dident go to him one last time after i killed the first 5 sins, the last bit of the ending with the deamon lady was a bit different than in this vid, the voice wasent mad at her

hope they make a 4 game and we get to play all 4 of them
How did you manage to skip where Lust offers Fury information on the whereabouts of Envy (who by all intents and purposes should be already inside the talisman) in exchange for safe passage? I mean this is SUCH an important clue in the story of Darksiders 3, that Envy is still out there.
Yes, and the fact that Fury didn't raise ANY red flags when Lust said that, is weird, cuz Fury still remembers killing Envy... in the VERY beginning??? Like did you get amnesia, Fury? What's up.
@@Alchemic09 she might have suspected that it wasn't Envy. Being too easy and all that hehe.
Fury probably figured that Lust only mentioned the bit about Envy out of both ignorance and to save her own hide. I agree that Fury should have at least raised a question to Lust's comment, but Lust had already shown how good of a manipulator she could be.
@@someperson1829 He also says that "Your enemies are closer than you think" which implies that Vulgrim actually knows that the Watcher is Envy. The sly bastard :D
@@csigataraj True. But her "zero phaques was given" reaction on such dialogs makes you lose such lines and rise questions later. I got it only when I did second run.
Finally. I was waiting for this. Thanks for the video.
i love fury she's so awesome
God of War lore? Also, I love how all the Sins are so perfectly representative of their biblical counterparts. Great personifications.
Angry bald guy with daddy issues kills his dad then raises a son named "Boy". He also kills Connor McGregor but that's a story for another time.
@@todd2.08 He also plays the white knight when Connor McGregor reveals his mommy issues.
the seven sins is not really in the bible per se, but was popularized by some priest(forgot who).
@@copperdaylightYou mean the Desert Fathers?
To me the sins personalities felt too on the nose, like one note characters. I really liked how they handled Lust but that's it.
I liked the recap. I look forward to the deep dive into the lore and seeing how this story fits into the grand narrative and what could be coming next
Darksiders 3 fuking rocks
You're lieng to yourself. Just like how you think black panther and captain marvel were good. They weren't. Neither was this game. It is utter trash, design and story wise. Full of gimics and cliche plots that were left unsolved and uninspiring for a 4th game. It's a disgrace to even call this anything more than a failed picture book. Terrible game. Terrible you.
@@jerrysmith8326 really dude? Let him like what he like
@@jerrysmith8326 Black Panther and Captain Marvel were pulled down by today's political climate.
@@TheStraightestWhitest lollllllll you're fucking cooked mate. Completely cooooooooked. But I know you're just trolling so what ever enjoy your day
jerry Smith you mad because he likes the game ? Wtf this world has come too?
@@sugartoothYT I like to think it is the same caravan.
I love the lore of these games and the characters are so interesting!
Another great Darksiders Lore vid!
Just finished the game for the first time myself a couple days ago... liked it a lot. Story is a bit weak but the game overall was a good entry in the franchise (especially considering the circumstances).
Anyone else super excited to play as strife???
"You should not have made them kneel!!!"
Pausing after the ad because I wanted to thank you for that awesome editing so I didn’t miss what you said
YES I've been waiting for this video
Last time i was this early i woke up in a planned parenthood
damn dude...
Thats because every time the lords gave fury some of his power he weakens himself and the last time he was too weak to force her to go away.
"Fury launches her assault on Lust..."
Oh, ho ho ho... Ill take your advice on not searching it...
I did, but nothing strange appeared. Did I miss something?
I didn't get anything weird either
I had no high expectations for Darksiders 3 since alot of game magazines bashed it pretty hard but after i played it myself i can now say that this game is in my opinion the best of the franchise so far.
.... There was no story, her character arc was forced, and the combat is mediocre. There was nothing new to learn in any meaningful way.
Maybe the hollowed one shows up in a future game. And that relic does something cool.
@@sugartoothYT Because they developed about as abruptly as you just typing it. All those things did "happen". They just....happened.
this makes wanna replay the franchise
Yooo, when I played the game, Abraxis was mentionned once by the Lord of Hollows, then I totally forgot about him and never heard of him after, I didn't even encounter him.
yeah. you have to go out of your way to find him.
To be honest I didn't even realise there were different endings. Usually, games tell you that or they hint at it
kradrol it’s not really that far out of the way. He’s a little bit before the first tornado encounter in the scar but I found him by accident by just exploring. If your ONLY following the compass, then yes you will skip him.
@@Death565656 I didn't say it was far out of the way. just that it's an option fight you have to go out of your way to get to.
I’m upset that didnt get to go back to fight him afterward. It’s a mandatory replay just fight him. At least in DSII, you could restart on the same file so you were playing through having officially beaten the game. Now, I’m just wondering. I doubt I’ll play through it again any time soon.
I was waiting for a cheeky "pride comes before the fall"👀
But alas!
Is that Lucifer talking in the end?
Most likely!
@@TheAshenHollow nice it would be cool to see him in the future!
He is referred to as the dark one, the prince of lies, the dark prince etc and lilth said on darksiders 2 to death she is drawn to power and yes samael is the 2nd most powerful demon who is the 1st? Lucifer and the creator is god.
He is never called Lucifer or Satan... only the "Dark One" so far. But yeah, ruler of Hell.
The credits have the same voice actor for the princess of darkness and it in this game but that can only be the voice that Lilith was talking to
Wait wait wait...the son of a hammer Ulthane was involved in the conspiracy that bamboozled war in the first place! The turn coat bastard better have his come-up-ins...humanity does not forgive. Humanity does not forget!
Great video, hyped for the sequel ! ♥
I'm just hyped to play strife, be interesting to see how they work his guns into gameplay.
Heeyyyyyy I was waiting for this!!
Thanks for this!
Can't wait for the next game
10;05 which background track do u use here
Please tell me they're making a darksiders IV with the last horsemen.
Around the net it seems they have to sell 100K copies for the game to be considered successful. Apparently they sold 71K copies just on PC, just on Steam, during 1 week. I think Darksiders 4 is already greenlit.
@@raresmacovei8382 holy fuck seriously? LOL DS5 soontmpls
Obviously
Confirmed now that they're looking into making a fourth. Good thing is that considering they already have the engine, a similar budget would lead to a far greater production quality game. If they maintain the same inspiration and motivation that they had for D3, then D4 will be a masterpiece!
trailer dropped yesterday
Loved this game
I know people think the Heroes journey and the Heroine’s journey are divided narratives, but to that I say…
the Heroic Path is walked by many and begins with just a first step.
Remember when the trailers got millions of views?
I loved those days
wait... that final scene means.... a fourth Darksiders!! WOO!!
Pretty much strife's the second to realize what happened since the first was war. Also story goes back to 1 again since 7th seal was broken then.
Fury’s journey and growth throughout the game made me appreciate it even more. She went from being arrogant and believing herself entitled to lead the Horsemen, into a more humble and courageous individual towards the end. She gets beaten, bruised and broken only to have to rely on the “feeble” Humans to pick herself up again;
“Humanity are in need of a protector. And you are in need of a new purpose. Am I wrong?”
I love so much this franchise, i just wish for it to finish it's story properly.
Darksiders4
Play as strife
Last mission include all the horsemen
With multiplayer
I just wish the plot wasn't so trite. Countless thousands of years and no basic life lessons until now? But that art style doesn't exactly scream subtle character focus so I suppose it fits.
Really satisfying to play despite the plot inadequacies.
"You should never have made them kneel"
I love this game and it’s always been up there when it comes to anything else that they have put out!!!!!!!?? “ God bless ya all today Shalom
There's olny ONE Lord of Hollows and that's The Ashen One
Darksiders 2 was my fav
Fury and Strife should have been Famine and Pestilence.
Pestilence could keep the same design as Strife just add a little green and rot, and give him a poison damage overtime gameplay
Famine could probably somehow keep the same design as Fury, just make her look super hungry. Then have her gameplay revolve around life steal
I’m still trying to figure out what the Tempest was and why it said “ Thank You.” This game was so fun the bosses had great designs and hollows all had distinct feels.
Novad selir probably the life essence of those golems from DS1 - corrupted into some kind of perpetual maelstrom.
FatalFist oh yeah I remember those golems that could explain it, i thought it was some kind of imprisoned creature.( like the chosen)
(no pun intended)
(P.S. If the Lord of Hollows is the Lord of Hollows, is he your lord also Ashen Hollow? A question for the philosophers.)
oh hey that's a gud one.
I didn’t even make it to Abraxis before I got to the end. Didn’t even know what he looked like until this video.
they have to do atleast 4 games since there's 4 horsemen and if they did make a 5th one id reckon it would be all 4 horsemen together and each chapter u play as which ever horsemen the chapter belongs too or maybe it will have 4 campaigns were u play as all 4 horsemen each
"Fury launches her assault on lust" ... LOL
Gabriel Mor I searched it and nothing. What is supposed to come up?
@@mishimamaster1845 watch 9:03
Gabriel Mor I did and I searched it
The lore is interesting. Those reflecting pools were forbidden according to the Scribe.
I though ds3 will never come bcs they said the company was bankrupt but im glad they made a comeback
Posted just in time since I finished the first video
after watching this i really want dante inferno to make a comeback, although i love god of war and darksiders. dante is my favorite.
I kinda feel like Dante in that game could be the pinnacle of humanity, or something close to it.
Nice one 👍 thanks
I wonder how they will tackle strife’s game like if it will be a third person shooter, FPS or if it will keep similar combat to the other games but focus more on ranged attacks that you don’t have to aim only lock on with
Hearing him say my name over and over again is weird.
So... is the fights between abraxis and/or Lord of Hollows something that happens depending on difficulty? I got through game and didn't see Abraxis at all. Or is it a skippable thing and I just missed it? Admittedly I played through on Easy cause i suck at dodging and got tired of having to redo alot of fights.
I'm heart broken, my like ticked the counter up to 421.
3 Questions :P
1 @18:20 "Silence the traitor"? he meant Abraxis?
2 who was Lilith talking to in the end? was it Lucifer?
3 I thought the Council was destroyed by Fury how come at 18:30 he still mentioned the council?
Thank you very much!
She stop the council from attacking her, but cannot kill them, they are still too powerful for her
1 The traitor is The Lord of Hollows as he was a demon, then a Charred Counsel member, and finally The Lord of Hollows.
2 It was Lucifer
3 She only temporarily stunned them so she could escape. There is no rule that states those statues are their actual forms, they could be their version of a Skype call.
fury got the ol eye of Horus on her chest
Does anyone know what happens if you don't kill Abraxis and do kill the master of hollows, or let them both live as a matter of balance, or even vice verse?
9:03 fury launches her assault on lust, i googled it but didn't find anything.. what is that about?
Oh... I just assumed...porn.
I liked this video simply because there weren’t any dislikes
Thank you for this vid, I got this game via PS plus but the game is so buggy, I just gave up on it but I love that darksider story so wanted to know how part 3 ended
Not really my type of game to play but I love the lore surrounding it
I think im missing something but if we Killed Envy in the beginning and put her in the talisman then how was the watcher Envy all along? At one point did they "switch" places
I think that the item that the lord of the hollows gave to fury is the "human power seals" which contains a power similar to nephilim race who belongs to human race and when they were ready and the seal vroken they could acquire those power and figt for a place in the balance.
whos the woman demon in the last credit?and whos voice that talk to her? please anyone answer..
Death is still my favorite of the 4, id give fury 2nd.

The 1 given to Death wasnt given from Ulthane tho, that was the other bitch in the forge
Can you do Full Story of all Darksiders?
So DS2 and DS3 take place in the middle of DS1? and I am assuming the new Darksiders game either takes place during or before DS1.
i compleated the game without the relic from the king of hollows, dont know why i dident get the option, but think i just dident go to him one last time after i killed the first 5 sins, the last bit of the ending with the deamon lady was a bit different than in this vid, the voice wasent mad at her
So wait that would darksiders 2,3 came before one than right?
Out of curiosity, is it ever told anything about Plague or Pestilence? As they are two of the OGs, it feels weird if they were to be left out of canon.
I already played darksiders 1 and 2 but i don't understand where is this envy coming from? Please someone tell me😭.. and why envy wear death's mask?😥 Im so confused
I hope after the solo game for Strife they will do a game AAA with the four who take place after the end of the first !!
