This made me quite emotional. I'm transitioning from radio after being on air for 14 years to YT podcasting, and I've been working on my studio as well. I also have a super small room that faces my (new lockdown) garden, but it faces North and there's a huge maple tree making it even darker. I find it unusable because it's so depressing and I've been trying to figure out what to do, translating to self-doubt because I "should" just start producing. This video was a Godsend for me. I never would have thought of using such a saturated green, or the hero wall of gorgeous flowers. And she was super keen to help to get some practice for her course! I was EXTREMELY grateful ❤️ I think the room would have ended up a bit *too* ‘granny chic’ if I’d been left to my own devices hahaha like I wouldn’t have been so good at mixing the old and new, definitely wouldn’t have been as brave with colour and the idea of cutting off the wallpaper where the nook is … GENIUS

💚💚💚 It's hard to think what my favourite item is... I think it has to be the colour of the room all together! It just brings everything together so well! Well done on everything. Only one tip if I may :) My mom's is an interior designer and a professional painter et wallpaper installer, when you paint (if you don't want the natural light to reflect on spots) always paint in stripes (up and down) all the way from the ceiling to the floor, you can do a few diagonals first to spread the paint but afterwards keep it all in the same directions! And for the wallpaper, keep some extras at the top and bottom and only cut it after you've placed it, flattened it and removed the air bubbles from the glue. I think those tips should come in handy for the next renovations of your beautiful house!

Beautiful space. I think the current leather top on the desk is gorgeous and goes so well with the warmer colors in the wallpaper. I don't know how you feel about weaving / macrame / textile art, but I could see something really textural like that in cream on the "bare" wall. It would tie together the rug and the curtains and help with acoustics and not make it look busy like a gallery wall could.
The whole office is AMAZiNG! I’d love to copy and paste it to my house here in the US. I’d have to say that my favorite thing in the office is the Desk Lamp. I just love how loved it is and how amazing it looks rewired and the love that you have for it. even though this so far away from my personal style I have to say that this is simply stunning. Caoimhe and you did such a fab job with tying everything together. I think that things can get too "heavy" in such a small space pretty quickly, but somehow it doesn't in this case. The colour of the walls and *that flooooor* are my faves though. :) 💚💚💚 also...do you find it satisfying to know that you did so much of the work yourself? Bc. that how I feel when I fix something up myself. Even if things turn out a bit wonky and imperfect knowing I did it myself always makes it okay. :D

Beautiful space. I think the current leather top on the desk is gorgeous and goes so well with the warmer colors in the wallpaper. I don't know how you feel about weaving / macrame / textile art, but I could see something really textural like that in cream on the "bare" wall. It would tie together the rug and the curtains and help with acoustics and not make it look busy like a gallery wall could.
The whole office is AMAZiNG! I’d love to copy and paste it to my house here in the US. I’d have to say that my favorite thing in the office is the Desk Lamp. I just love how loved it is and how amazing it looks rewired and the love that you have for it. I also love that something so beautiful is going to help you with your writing and bring joy to the world through books and reading (which I love). even though this so far away from my personal style I have to say that this is simply stunning. Caoimhe and you did such a fab job with tying everything together. I think that things can get too "heavy" in such a small space pretty quickly, but somehow it doesn't in this case. The colour of the walls and *that flooooor* are my faves though. :) 💚💚💚 also...do you find it satisfying to know that you did so much of the work yourself? Bc. that how I feel when I fix something up myself. Even if things turn out a bit wonky and imperfect knowing I did it myself always makes it okay. :D

The shelves 💚💚💚 loved that you even shared the parts that didn’t work. Re decorating and renovating rooms is a long process. I’ve still to style parts of our playroom for the kids. That’s been almost a year since we started painting it

My favorite thing is the color of the wall, actually I´m decorating a café in my town and one of the walls we decided on a really similar colour which gave that vintage harry potter old but modern look!! 😍 Everything looks incredible, and the support of your husband is just th cuttest thing ever. so, bravo, mel!!!!

It could be pirate-y (pirats of the caribbean) in a way, due to its tropicalness. 💚💚💚 It could be just magical, because it matches so well with the dark wood and the rest of the room.. and also, it's just amazing as an eyecatcher.
