Yikes, just wait till you hear my accent. It goes from british to cursive to irish to russian. It sounds impossible (especially because I grew up in the US) but I think its because I also grew up surrounded by a variety of people with different cultures and accents.

Veda Corvus please do not worry. I learned English starting with a Scottish, then Canadian and an Indian, and went to school in Southern US. And my accent is just like everywhere now

I'm italian, and I think just that you're great and so creative! I don't care about your accent, what's the problem anyway 😅, I live and I'm born in the south Italy that it's famous for all the dialects, but sometimes I talk like nord people(Milano) or center people (Roma), it's normal here, and no body cares😅🤍.

This is something I sometimes catch myself doing too. For me it depends on who I am speaking with. I’m Swedish, so English is my second language. We are taught British English in school, but I tend towards American, and my husband is American. My cousin married a Scotsman and studied there, so I tend to pick that up a bit when we hang out. Same with one of my oldest friends who is living in England, with an Englishman since many, many years... it’s a bit embarrassing when it happens, but I’m trying to give myself grace and acceptance. 😅

I've always liked silver as a metal. Never liked gold, but this video sold me on gold. And she mixed black and brown furniture and it looks good! How? The red insides of those drawers!! The lace canopy! The artwork, candles, lighting. Beautiful freaking room.

I’m 45 now and this really brought me back to my 20’s, remembering trying to cultivate a certain aesthetic On a budget and not being able to do anything really structural. You did a great job, made great choices and you will cherish some of these pieces as you move through life. It’s such a special time, enjoy it! Blessed be.

I didn’t mind the accent change because my boyfriend and I both do that😅 he grew up in several different countries and I grew up with several dialects of English while I was still young so our brains are just confused🤣 but now his parents and him have rubbed off on me a bit so I’ll just have a Caribbean accent while using Irish/Australian slang and we all just sound weird😅🤣🥰
A little advice from a crystal collector, the lamb that you washed, be careful with water, as it is a satin spar crystal which will dissolve when in contact with water. Just dusting it off should be fine💕 I really enjoyed your video gurl✨

yep, same with dogs! i don’t use essential oils for anything anymore because of them, sadly. but gotta do right by the doggies & kitties of the world.
Vet here! Tea tree oil, pennyroyal, and certain types of citrus are the most toxic to cats, but I personally do not use any diffusers or incense and only use candles in well-ventilated areas because any little particles in the air can be physically irritating to the lungs and cats are really sensitive. I know it can really ruin a vibe because I used to love incense, but one of my kitties has feline asthma now so I stay away.

I love to imitate accents as she does- I am Canadian though haha- by the sounds of it, she’s from either Canada or the US, near the borders, accents start to melt.

I think the mirror story is endearing. This poor kind human is thinking, "But it's such irredeemable kitch! You don't have to take it, kind human." You should have been even more enthusiastic and told him what you planned to do with it. It's always joyful when what one human is desperate to ditch, another human is desperate to find. He'd probably think you were a decor genius, or just wonderfully weird. I'd say the mirror is blessed in your possession.
I would love to make my room have a darker, witchier aesthetic, but....it doesnt bode well with my bunnies, and my childhood babysitter has ingrained her aesthetic into me. But I love love LOVE living victoriously through this lol

@Veda Corvus you mentioned the staples on the backs of the picture frames and I didn't notice anyone tell you; you just need to get a butter knife and gently prise the staples up wards (without removing them. Imagine turning the pages of a wet book with tweezers; we're going gently), pull out the felt-covered back of the frame, yank out the pic it comes with, clean the glass, then run everything backward again to close it up. As long as you aren't super-careless or the frame is ancient and the staples have become brittle, you won't break the staples. And even if you did, you can go to the hardware store/order new staples from amazon and just replace them. Just make you you get the kind meant for wood.

When you move out, take a photo of the ceiling color for a color match, find a color at the local hardware store that matches it, then ask for a sample, which should be under $5. Fill in the hole with a little spackle, sand it down a bit, then paint over it. Easy peasy. (P.S. That mirror is probably gently haunted and the guy was just freaked out, OR it was very haunted and the ghost likes you.)
I remember my very first apartment. I spent a fortune on wallpaper and then tried to hang it myself. Comical memory, but not so funny at the time. Needless to say, I gave up and painted instead. Love that weird little alcove where you put your desk! Rooms with those kinds of features are awesome. I’d have hung a beaded or crystal valance there, though, at the edge of the ceiling where it opens.
This time of year always makes me want to decorate, seems most people do it in the spring, but I come alive and feel more inspired in the fall. I bought two new area rugs yesterday, going to paint a mid century bookcase I trash picked, maybe get around to hanging some paintings, rearrange some furniture….
Get a little grow light for your herbs. Herbs don’t always do well inside, and I think not enough light is the main reason.

Momentan ist mein zimmer nämlich weiß und vintage mäßig. Wenn ich mein Zimmer in dunkel grün streichen sollte, brauch ich auch dunkle Möbel, weil weiße Möbel nicht wirklich gut zu dunkel grün passen. Der Nachteil an der ganzen Sache ist, danach hab ich kein Geld mehr -_- anyways, I love your channel and your room so much!! 😍✨
