    I have the same one for 4 yrs now. Has survived being banged around a bit and still going strong. Quiet and very little battery drain. Love it. Well done Halfords. 👌

    The dimentions are in the user guide. If you press and hold settings button, you can set a max high and max low setting. This is handy to protect it from accidental presses. The settings button can also be used to place the unit in economy mode. The unit draws around 3.8A at 12v and 1.9A at 24v. It makes very little sound and is silent when desired temperature is reached.

      Hi, yes the dimensions may be in the user guide, but I could not get them online before purchasing to see if it was right. Hope yours is OK, mine just gone kaput.

    Do you have any idea what make the compressor is? You should be able to see through the vents. Just saw this on the Halfords website and thinking about getting one.

      Hi, it is actually quite hard to see. I would say a Chinese one - Huajun. Never heard of them, but with a 2 year warranty, worth a punt.

      @@CLSJimny4x4 Many thanks for that, yes that brand is used on quite a lot of coolers. Like Alpicool etc.
      Hard to find much information on this cooler, what does the small compartment do on the right, is that a little freezer or just another fridge compartment?

    • @CLSJimny4x4
      @CLSJimny4x4  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dalerobinsuk Not a lot of info at all. The smaller compartment above the compressor is just fridge temp, this is not a dual temp cooler. Cheers

      @@Thefr_v for me, initial impression is good, and it does freeze so I would say yes.

      Keep as cold as you want! I sometimes stick it on in the garage for the beers!

    does your fan keep running none stop? seems to be constant even at the temp it's set to turn off the 24w constantly and is bad

    • @CLSJimny4x4
      @CLSJimny4x4  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, no, the fan hardly runs at all. Once up to temp, it is silent.

    How do you find the drain on the battery?

    • @CLSJimny4x4
      @CLSJimny4x4  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi, very little drain. I run a small 50ah leisure battery on the Jimny and it used a minimal amount overnight. As it is a compressor fridge, it is not running all the time like a thermoelectric coolbox does. Hope this helps.

    Hi I just bought this item, do you find that the smaller compartment doesn't get cold? I looked in the manual and can't find any information regarding the smaller compartment?
    I'm guessing it only gets cold when you use the big compartment as a freezer as some of the cooling from the big compartment leaks into the smaller one? Again, the manual doesn't explain any of this, so I'm wondering if it's a fault or not?

    • @CLSJimny4x4
      @CLSJimny4x4  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, hadn't noticed as I only had sauce packets and such in it. It is possible though as it sits over the compressor.

      I just got this and the small compartment doesn't go cold compared to large. Did you figure it out

    • @simonjohnson4302
      @simonjohnson4302 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chjag yeah, I've spoken to others too, it doesn't get cold unless you use the large compartment as a freezer. Doesn't bother me much as it's still perfect for what I need and I just store condaments etc in the small compartment which obviously don't need to be chilled.

    So glad I came across this video! So, I’ve got this exact same cool box, however, I bought the adapter to plug it in to an AC / 13amp plug. However, it didn’t power it because the voltage wasn’t high enough.
    I see you’re powering this off of the mains. Can I ask which adapter you’re using please? I’m just not sure!
    Many Thanks!
    Mark
