A tip I would give about the KC Area is if you're going to fish Coot or Plover lakes out at James A Reed, only fly fish. These lakes have so much lost equipment that you'll spend more time snagging up than fishing.

7:00 I've always heard Koeneman Park pronounced as "Kin-a-men" Park. Grew up near there, before the lake and all the work was done there used to be a handball court and a hill where you could find Fossils - removed to create the lake and update the park.

You’re probably right. I’m not originally from St. Louis. A lot of it especially on the north side of town is foreign to me.

Daily limit is 4 trout. You’ll need a trout permit if you plan on keeping trout. Between Nov 1 and Jan 31, you can only use one rod per angler and you can’t use chum. All lures and baits are authorized.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand why a non native fish has so many regulations on how to fish it. It is seriously ridiculous how many regulations you have to keep track of for trout. And my question is just why?

Beats me. I suppose because of how delicate they are? Trout are revered fish in many areas.

Because trout fishing is a huge money maker. Lots of people only fish for them.

@primebeef3938 still a non native fish and should not be protected the way that it is.

@@redneckmini14 tell us why they shouldn’t be protected. Also tell us why some of Missouri’s native fish also have some weird restrictions on them. It would seem that since the native fish reproduce naturally there should be no restrictions on them.

@@primebeef3938 native fish populations are hurt by invasive fish populations. It's pretty simple.
