We can always use pipes for our industrial terrain. I especially enjoyed the 25mm template for the T right angles. Thank you very much for sharing with us.
Again, a most bodacious tutorial Kris. Absolutely astonished at a the quality of your pdf print pages, even though I have followed you since episode 1, you never cease to amaze me. Well done Sir! Keep up the good work. 🦇
This is so well thought out, I have only used these rolls for larger structures in wargames for 15mm figs and never though about piping like this, plastic and paper straws yes, but this is a different and workable idea. Those templates are a wonderful idea also, not many would have been as thoughtful to include them like that.
@@CrookedStaffTerrain - I certainly understand that, but I still know of projects (and even some model kits I had put together that required non-included odds and ends but nothing to help you work out how to do it efficiently requiring trial and error to make the templates). I'm always impressed when these things are included without asking. :)
Great work as always. The template for the T junction is absolutely brilliant, I love how you take something that should be hard and find a way to make it easy.
Great addition to your scifi range. Especially as I just picked up Grimdark Firefight. I've just ordered Maladrum ,so will be looking at your fantasy terrain for that too.
Nice pipes Kris. When I first saw the domed end I wasn't sure how you would pull it off. But the applied panels look great. I'm looking forward to see more sci-fi stuff being released.
I did my mutant and Illithid Sci-Fi 6-shot already, using your previous terrain, but these would have been awesome as well. Maybe I need to have a continuation?! Nice Kris!
Thank you, this is perfect for table-top war games. I hope to make enough to create a refinery or processing plant. Would it be possible to make larger tanks and supports for an outdoor setting?
The pipe textures should work on any size tube that you can find (plus you can also adjust what scale they print out in your pdf viewer). Finding balls the exact same size to fit in the top will probably be an issue though - but I plan on just putting a flat-topped walkway on top of some of the larger ones that I have (which I'll be experimenting with next... along with a few other bits and pieces :) ).
Hi, I love your work. I've been following you since the pandemic and I've recovered your various fantasy pdfs. This work is also fantastic! can I ask you if you're planning something like buildings, barricades, sci-fi outdoor elements: I'm looking for material for Infinity CodeOne, but I can't find anything so well done and simple to make.
Glad you're enjoying this stuff :) :) :) For the sci-fi range I'm mainly concentrating on indoor scenarios for the time being - but I might get around to outdoor stuff eventually (there's just no immediate plans I'm afraid).
No problem. As for colour variations - in this instance I've just gone with what I thought would work/look best next to some of the existing stuff that I've made (i.e. the main tiles and walls are pretty monotone... so I wanted to avoid more 'greyish' colours - so that these pipes stand out a bit more :) And yeah, most of this was designed in photoshop (with some inkscape as well).
@@CrookedStaffTerrain Ah oui ok, après comme cela peut être facile en un paramètre de changer facilement la couleur, cela pourrait être sympa de rajouter des pages supp juste avec les changements de couleurs ;-)
@@lesforgeursdemondes It's not quite as simple as that (as I 'draw' on multiple layers... lots and lots of layers :) - so it's not just one 'red tint' over everything on the red pipes for example). For my next video I'm working on some 'pipe accessories' ...so I might being doing a couple of variant pipes for that :)
I'm not really a fan of dice towers - so probably not a dedicated video. (I know some folks have got creative with the textures though, and made one themselves :) )

No probs!
Loving the Sci Fi builds! Great production pieces and much appreciated how to video!
Thank you very much.
Glad you enjoyed the vid!

:) Will do! :)
Perfectly said!
His 2D maps are very good, especially the Sci-fi maps (the green 'goo/snot' one is rather nice).
10mm scale is also available.
Brilliant as always and nicely narrated and presented! 😊
:) Thanks!
Nice one!
I'll have to try this for my 5 Parsecs Terrain
I might be using these in a few 'bug hunt' games myself :)
Oh yeah. Great terrain. I love that the pieces are modular and can be reused in different configurations.
I use quite a bit of roll-on deoderant balls in scratch builds. They are usually 33-35 mm in diameter, so a bit smaller than table tennis balls.
This is so well thought out, I have only used these rolls for larger structures in wargames for 15mm figs and never though about piping like this, plastic and paper straws yes, but this is a different and workable idea. Those templates are a wonderful idea also, not many would have been as thoughtful to include them like that.
Well, the templates are kinda essential to the build :) ...so it made sense to include them on the page where there was a bit of blank space :D
@@CrookedStaffTerrain - I certainly understand that, but I still know of projects (and even some model kits I had put together that required non-included odds and ends but nothing to help you work out how to do it efficiently requiring trial and error to make the templates). Extreemly professional narration and a unique-to-TH-cam subject. More sci fi please. I think you may be groundbreaking here.
My regular episodes tend to be a bit more scripted - as they're the main focus of the channel.
And yeah... more sci-fi is coming :)
Bravo! Making the templates available is a master stroke that transforms an interesting idea into a viable project. Thanks.
No probs.
Great work as always. The template for the T junction is absolutely brilliant, I love how you take something that should be hard and find a way to make it easy.
I just watched a couple of plumbing-type videos... and adapted what I saw in those to a flat template :)
It’s always fun to watch your creativity Kris! 🎉
Thanks for the video! I didn't know you could also sing but I guess you do have the pipes! 😉
🙄 😊
If you have an opaque hot glue I bet it could be used on the outer joins and be made to look like a sloppy weld
I actually thought about making a strip of 'weld' as a texture at one point - but decided against it in the end.
this is the solution I had been dreaming of since a long time for building an industrial table ! All these accumulated pipe will find good use, thx !
No problem... glad to hear that you'll be getting some good use out of them :)
Brilliant work as always 👍👍

Nice pipes Kris. When I first saw the domed end I wasn't sure how you would pull it off. But the applied panels look great. I'm looking forward to see more sci-fi stuff being released.
Thanks. I think the 'rounded panels' might have a few other applications... so I'll have to see what I can come up with :)
I did my mutant and Illithid Sci-Fi 6-shot already, using your previous terrain, but these would have been awesome as well. Maybe I need to have a continuation?! Nice Kris!
Glad you like 'em (here's hoping you do get to put them to use, one way or the other :) ).
I love your work! So simple, yet so effective!
Glad you're enjoying some of this stuff.
Truly amazing! Your vision and execution are superior.
Looks awesome
!
Thanks :)
Theses pipes are super cool! They would be great for an Alien game!
Right.
(Imagine I sound like Brett when saying that :) )
These look insanely good
Thanks.
Looks great.
Need a crap load of toilet paper rolls for that! (yes, dad-ish joke intended...) Good stuff, as usual!
Cheers!
This was fantastic!

Excellent

very satisfayin 2 watch!
Awesomeness
I have a space themed game I am running so this would be perfect for me, so I would enjoy more sci-fi things. Maybe more horror themed things too?
If by 'horror' you mean modern(ish) day stuff - then I don't have any plans for that kind of thing I'm afraid.
Love your stuff, l am just getting into warhammer 40k and some of this terrain would be great for it
Yeah, I think it's generic enough to work for a few different games (40k being one of them :) ).
Soooooooo coooool
Glad you think so :) :) :)
that is really cool dude, just got into warhammer, ima make some easy builds looking like fire!!
Hope it goes well! :)

Really impressed by the geometry and engineering here. Are you generally pretty skilled in mathematics?
I'm not terrible at it (though I do have a bit of an engineering background as well).
