Paul was clear and explicit on this, as he was on the topic of homosexuality. Everybody is free to live the life they want but no one is free to distort the Scriptures.
Amen!!! I taught this more than a decade ago when I saw it during study. Thank you for teaching it broadly. When we misappropriate scripture we create a picture that God never intended.
like misappropriating homosexuality in the bible next. Since we can completely flip the verse speaking against women speaking in church, why not do the same thing for the sin of adultery?
@Kreemerz because theres never a time where god permits or allows adultry, condones it, says it should be done xyz. For women to not teach in church it would be contradictory.
My favorite verse of the Bible💕 “After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.” Luke 8:1-3
This is one of the best no-nonsense teachings I have heard on this verse and subject. Good order in the material. It can be demoralizing to be a woman in a church that stands on the silence issue and for women who have controlling, abusive or non-believing husbands it is especially demoralizing. When a woman in this scenario is also silenced at church it can seem as if all men have authority over her. Thank you for this teaching.
@@mountuplikeaneagleidk but, how would a women ask her husband questions if her husband dosen't go to church and isn't a believer??- sorry if i came off as rude.
@@mountuplikeaneagle Yeah that's true, Paul may or may not have just been giving his opinion about the church of the time, I just found the" women must not speak and ask her husband" part tripy, but then again the english bible was written in a way were modern people don't speak like that anymore, such as different ways of expression, so people might be taking what it says to literally or not, i'm not saying you should'nt follow anything that the bible says thought, bcs it basicly is a rule book.
That's bevause the woman is to man's helper genesis is very clear woman was deceived..and her curse is child birth pain and to serve the husband..do not try to change the word of GOD..
Wow -- thank you so much for this! I'm a new Christian and my experiences with chauvinistic pastors keeping women down with selectively quoting and twisting scripture (as well as a lifetime of abuse) turned me off from being curious about what Jesus and The Word had to offer. I'm so glad Jesus intervened and took hold of my heart despite this, and that He's now led me to this interpretation. Grateful for this, Pastor Allen!
Mike Winger has also just released one of his last Women in Ministry teachings videos on the same topic titled 'Women be Silent'. It's very long, comprehensive and very good. Plenty of timestamps if you're in a rush 🙂
It's long because that is how we get around a point blank edict that "women are to be silent in church" Just because our modern day minds cringe at that statement, doesn't mean that says or means something else than what it says quite plainly
@@Sethhaun78 Not changing, Black people have been programmed to believe they have to live by old customs and traditions back in those times because it is in a man-made book called the bible and not considering the books that were left out and other so-called bibles. ie the Torah, Koran, and the like. Black people will always be the tail and not the head because they are easier to manipulate.
Yes , and Paul gave us the reason women shouldn’t lead the Church, teach in the Church especially to men and it was because Adam was made first then Eve , Eve was tricked by the serpent not Adam ! That’s the reason why not everything this guy said
What Paul was referring to by women having to keep silent in the congregation in this context was to give direction to women who were speaking out of turn during the congregation meetings. (1Corinthians 14:28,30,34) Some women were interrupting or challenging the men who took the lead in teaching. Paul was encouraging those women who had questions or concerns to “ask their husbands at home” rather than disrupt the meetings. Additionally, Paul here is inspired to uphold the Scriptural direction that God assigns men to handle the oversight positions among his people. (1 Timothy 2:12) The apostle left no doubt that he greatly valued women as fellow ministers or preachers of the good news. (Romans 16:1,2; Philippians 4:2,3) His inspired direction did not exclude women from participating in congregation meetings. (Hebrews 10:23-25)
Brother, thank you so much for delving into this subject so succinctly. This really clears up a lot of misunderstanding about this controversial subject. As you say, the scriptures are not contradictory.
I want to encourage you....God called me to be a Revival preacher in these last days across the Midwest; and I haven't seen all of your videos; but so far you are spot on correct in every video I have seen so far.....same Holy Spirit.....same Spirit of Truth.....keep preaching truth...you are rare....
Thank you brother Allen I have learned so much listening to you, keep up the good Works. God Bless you and yours and let your good works go forward. Peace and Love.
What about 1 Timothy 2:11-15 Allen? God has ordained men to lead the church. We are not to conform to the culture. That is what is wrong with the church today. Beth Moore is great for teaching the woman’s ministries; however the Word of God is absolutely clear that women are not to lead men. The Word of God is our authority not contemporary culture.
This is a man saying what God said, like other verses in a man-created bible. There is no empirical evidence that any so-called author in the man-created bible was ordained by God to say a woman cannot preach. No one in the original scrolls' names was Paul, Peter, John, or any European name. This is the same book introduced to the black slaves in a country, not their own riddled with mistranslations and intentional omissions designed to control the enslaved and empower the slave master, and now has conditioned modern-day black slaves to carry on the lies, while modern-day slave masters aka slave master's great grand kids who are among the 1percenters of this capitalistic system that never included the enslaved offspring of any generation. Some black people are still looking for the bye and bye while masser's grand kids continue to thrive leaving you with the man created book of their ancestors with hope and wishes arguing with one another over HIS Story not the complete true history.
And Paul used the argument (principle) of CREATION thus the ingrained role is permanent, how about Eph. 5, wives role is to submit to their husbands because the husbands are to LEAD and LOVE their wives just like CHRIST leads and loves the church. END OF THE ARGUMENT. God's Word is timeless not our culture.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for this. This has bothered me for decades. It felt so contradictory. This video explains everything so concisely, and some of the questions you posed were some I didn't know I wanted to know until you asked them.
That Fact that Most people aren't in Control of their Spirit... is Mind Blowing! PRAISE God! The Almighty Father! The Prince of Peace! The King of GLORY! Amen! Thank you, HolySpirit 🕊
You’re correct! During church service at that time, the women sit in the balcony, as a result, they was yelling to their husband below, disrupting the service. So Paul told them to wait until they got home.
I don’t know why but this comment made me chuckle. I can only imagine how disruptive it would be for a woman to try to get the attention of her husband during teaching and prophesying.
you can't be serious! There were no balconies in synagogues. But here is what the Spirit of Lord has shown me about this matter. For one, Paul is not an example of marriage but of one ca;led to establish the body of Christ through persecution. The main reason this was beingsaid bc of the times in which they were establsihing the church of the Lord and delaing with othe doctrines the jews who were ocnve3rteed were bringing into the flods. Women are qiuick to pick up spriitual things whichmeans bad things too. Withpout qa coveringof a man every woman who leaves home for whatever reason is open to satanic oppression by misusing her sxuality. therefore a man is he protection and receiver of that sexuality. This takes eveything back to Eden where she was cursed (forever in the flesh) or until the end of the millennium when all the Saints will enter into that place called perpetual eternity. Only then will her curse cease! But she is more apt yo pick up spiritual positive things than man. So when she speaks out in the assembling it is indication that her husband is not being the spiritual head of the house whereby she can ask him anything, knowing he dont know! I have had a Pastor's wife ask me to pray for her healing and her husband was standing right there. I was thinking, why don't she ask him? Knowing it is bc she knew he was not that spiritual. So the curse of the woman forbids her from entering into glorification if she does not have a husband that is also glorified first. So whether it is a woman or a man in church blurting out. he rule is for both to be silent in the church when the Word in going forth. Otherwise that is saying she cannot speak at all even when giving a testimony. When the Lord told mary to tell a congregation of ppl that he has risen from the dead. Just like she was there at the tomb instead of Peter or any other, that is how she adheres to sound doctrine i she can get it. if she cant then she will rebel by speaking out. She does the same thing sexually when her husband is clueless on how to satisfy her in bed.
Agree cause if your praying in the spirit and the fruits of the spirit are self control, then everything you do and say should be in line with the fruits of the spirit
Very useful explanation. Church in Philippi was left to Lydia and other women. The Apostle Paul writes to Philippians to help women who were most probably prominent and in leadership positions. Hope many male pastors hear this and reevaluate their position on this divisive subject🙏🏿🙏🏿
I am a preacher/pastor and I started teaching this way according to one comment I am in agreement with, I believe women can and should do all things in church except the role of a pastor in any form or any areas, and this is what I love about the Scriptures it all backs up itself of we tale the time to understand it.....
Complementarianism is a false teaching. At its center it supports a two-tiered priesthood based on birthright. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood... -excerpt 1 Peter 2 Reply for my full post 'Complementarianism' if desired. Men and women are perfectly equal spiritually.
@@8784-l3b Incorrect. Egalitarianism is a false teaching. When it comes to spiritual value, men and women are equal before God. When it comes to roles, men and women complement one another. There is a distinction, it is in the scriptures.
@@EmanKcin8820 Since a woman could be a pastor in the Old Covenant, a woman can be a pastor in the New Covenant. Simple really. I suggest my short and free essay on Deborah. Men and women are perfectly equal spiritually. She was a pastor, according to the scriptures. This is how the Judges are described in Chronicles, by God. A woman could only be given the authority by God to execute a man for his sin, if women are spiritually equal to men. A Judge could judge homicide cases according to Deuteronomy. Therefore Deborah, as a Judge, could execute a man for his sin.
The Bible is not the truth. The Polytheistic religions practiced in Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome are. It is okay, Zeus will forgive you in the afterlife.
Allen You fail to mention the part where Paul says women should not exercise authority over men and they are to remain submissive . Was he not talking about women teaching / preaching to men in the church ? Because that's how I read the scriptures. I also understand women can teach other women and children . Therefore I have to disagree with your interpretation . As for tongues I understand it to be a known language. But I don't think you were clear on that part. Thanks for the video
But which women is Paul talking to? You need to ask such questions to understand the context Paul is speaking within. Allan has made a good job of showing the contradictions that most christians choose to ignore. Prophesying in Paul's context is sharing a word of wisdom or preaching. So Paul summarize by saying "brothers and sisters" If women are out of the picture then he should have said " brothers" also there is no anywhere in that chapter he says women should teach children. Paul would be shocked if was to be resurrected today and find people interpreting his letters literally. He addressed challenges the early churches faced and he was not speaking to you or any other woman today because he didn't even believe the World would be here 2000 years later.
You are spot on Margie. I seem to recall that he haven't got a problem with women preaching as well. He used to be against it but recently had a change of heart. Mankind embraces culture but our God never changes.
I AGREE, the video click baited us into thinking he would talk about such issue but then he talks about something different... not even the topic of women preachers.....
Thank you brother for clarifying that. The story of Deborah in the Bible shows us that the Lord calls ordinary people to do extraordinary things that can only be accomplished through the Spirit. You see I was taught that women were never called to ministry. My dad is the preacher and has been for over 40 years. Then my pastor noticed that when sharing my testimony the holy spirit filled the room. He thought the lord had called me into ministry. I of course did not believe it. I refuse to believe it or even hard to picture myself teaching or sharing word. But I prayed about it for a while. Until my father who was also praying about it and who use to believe women did not have a place in ministry told me he also now believed that God had called me. One day my uncle called and said I had no excuses and was going to Share the word of God next Sunday. I was terrified. So I again prayed about it and just said "Lord if indeed you have called me into ministry then let your holy spirit share the word through me. Let it be all you and not me". Sunday came and I had fasted and prayed. I still can't remember what I said but know that I didn't end up reading the sermon I had prepared. The holy spirit spoke and the Lord was glorified. I had gotten my answer. My father told me that the Lord used me that day to bring his word. But I have to say that ministry isn't suppose to be glamorous or easy. You have more spiritual attacks because of it. And always think is everything I am doing bringing God and God alone all the glory and edifying the church? Because if it isn't then you must step down. Also the person in ministry needs to live a set apart life. Judges 4:4-5 4 Now Deborah, a prophet, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time. 5 She held court under the Palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites went up to her to have their disputes decided. God anointed Deborah and she was a women, in a time in where the Lord could of picked a man just like he picked Moses who was once a murder. All he had to do was speak to a man. But he chose Deborah. Women to can have a ministry, as long as they are truly called by God.. and live a set apart live while being humble and bringing only God the glory.

The "Kingdom of God" through Jesus Christ will ensure that planet earth will be forever safe, secure, peaceful and without arrogant, cruel, and hateful persons, without liars, slanderers, deceivers, hypocrites, terrorists, murderers, and criminals. The "Resurrection of the Dead" guarantees that loving, kind, and respectful human beings who died even thousands of years ago like Abel, Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, King David, the Christ's disciples, and many others will be resurrected back to life by Jesus Christ in the Creator's own right time so they can live and exist again on a safe and peaceful earth and fully enjoy the eternal love, kindness, generosities, compassions, favors, and blessings of the Creator and his Christ for eternity as submissive and obedient subjects of the "Kingdom of God" under the loving rulership, authority, guidance, and protection of Jesus Christ, the Creator's Chosen King and Ruler. Deborah was a prophetess, and the scriptures make it clear that she was leading Israel because the men were too weak and cowardly to do it. That was not a sanction on women being leaders as opposed to it being an indictment on the men's failure to lead. The song Deborah sung after the battle clearly laments the fact that God had to raise up a woman to lead, so it clearly wasn't something that should have happened.
@@theeternalsbeliever1779 So what ? It clearly shows that God is sovereign and He chooses who will lead! I have seen so many pastors and believe most pastors (men and women) were not chosen by God as per Ephesians chapter 4:11
@@J_a_s_o_n So what you say?? You miss the point completely. It was an indictment on the men of Israel that He had to use a woman as a leader of men. And even she knew it!!

many false teachers mix reality with their false perceptions. None of anything he says will turn you from your sins and that is why you like it and agree. Sinners agree while the Elect do too - Mal.3:16-18.
@@omarsheriffkaptan it's another example where modern Christians try to water down what the Scripture actually says in order to appeal to human preference; it's like they're saying God's decision is too harsh or wrong and puts them in an uncomfortable position, so they need to reinterpret it.
When a speaker says, we need to look at the culture of that time, you know, you need to turn the speaker off. We live in a different culture, and this doesn”t mean the truth needs to be adjusted.
Not necessarily, There are times that you have to look at the culture of the time to better understand what and even why something may have been said. At the same time, the directives given by God for the local Church do need to be adhered to. While I do not believe Speaking in Tongues applies to today's church there is nothing wrong with a Woman giving testimony, addressing church work or missions work with the Congregation. These things however do not allow for Female Pastors, which many today will make claim to. So while I do agree the truth doesn't need to be adjusted, it does need to be understood. Culture at the time does help to clarify that. Paul even gave admiration to Priscilla for her work spreading the Gospel. At the same time, Priscilla and Lydia while taking the Gospel to others, were not allowed title of Pastor(Elder/Deacon/etc) in the church. Does this mean Lydia was not a leader? Does it mean they were not allowed to Preach? No, it does however mean they could not hold title. So while I am not 100% in agreeance with Allen on the reasoning, it would make sense to consider when taking into account the rest of the Biblical teachings that allow women to teach and preach.
I can’t entirely agree. Knowing the culture can help you understand what was meant. For a small example, the famous Last Supper painting is incredibly inaccurate because it depicts the group seated at what at the time was a modern table and chairs setup. In reality, they would have been on couches closer to the floor and lying on their sides. That’s why John had to lean back to say something to Jesus instead of just turning to face him.
Wrong.....the Mid East has always been incredibly misogynistic.....orthodox Jews among the most. This injunction is as outdated as disallowing women the vote or a college education.
One must remember that we are reading letters written to specific churches addressing specific issues within those churches, and we may not be even reading the “first” letter written and may be picking up somewhere in the middle of a series of letters in a lot of cases, these letters were then taken and read amongst many churches of that day, but in that day what else was spread was the cultural understanding of what each letter was addressing, the cultural understanding is what’s lost on us today and it’s up to us as led by the spirit to grasp it as best we can, This was one of the best videos I’ve seen addressing this topic, quick and concise as well as utilizing a logical thought process to understand what the word was saying, I am grateful for the work you do on this channel
Great video, brethren! That’s the best interpretation of that passage I’ve ever heard. It feels good to be back. I recently re-subscribed after unsubscribing to your channel probably more than a year ago due to a major disagreement. A video from brother Ruslan changed my heart and made me realize no two believers are gonna be on the same page with _everything_ and that’s ok. It’s better to overlook differences for the sake of a spirit of unity in the church than to ignore someone because they interpret a passage differently or whatever. I also re-subbed to brother Winger recently after having left his community around the same time I did yours.
Allen Parr... I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your heart for the Lord and your desire to uphold the truth of God's Word. I appreciate how you maintain a focus on the textual and cultural context. This teaching is definitely one of those that I will share with my friends, family, and congregants who are struggling to understand this passage. This was well done. Thank you for your time and attendance to the Word of God.
No, it’s really not. Back then, it was cultural for Kings like David to take any woman they desired to sleep with and those women out of respect for authority oblige, but how do you think that would play out in todays culture? Slavery was also cultural during these olden times, yet what we make of that today? Yall pick and choose.
So culturally underscoring what is being addressed helps establish context, which brings clarity, these are the principles of exegesis. which does not take away from the Word , however many texts have been in eisegesis you should be very careful with your own interpretation.
@@goldengirl7625 Yes so he is wrong when he points out that culturally there may be no value but like you're pointing out culture adds context, however to bring clarity to your point, multiple wives were never a cultural integration in Israel, and again our understanding of "slavery" in many aspects are servanthood or bond servants.
Such a good and needed series. People attack the Christian faith on points like this and not studying the word sets us up for poor defense of faith. The one thing objectors to the bible study are points such as these to make us look foolish so we must be even more diligent and ready to defend the faith, not shying away from difficult topics. If you are shying away from these topics you should ask yourself why. Pray to God to increase your faith which is biblical.
People attack verses like this because society have elevated women too much and have seen them as victims to everything. When God's natural order of things are questions and now women saying men should submit to them, you know Jesus is coming back.
@@ifirespondiamstupid7750 millions of ungodly godless men also use the word of God to suppress their fellow men, it's not a new thing and it's not a gender thing, in all of humanity people are always seeking ways to surpress others, misquoting the Bible, paying attention to how men are awesome and what others need to do for them will obviously be what attracts them to the Bible. I'm not even sure they're aware of how the same chapter talks about husband being like Jesus did the church (he literally died for them) nor the verse in James that says your prayers may be hindered if you don't treat your wife properly. I'm surprised 4th wave feminism (or whatever wave we're on in the west) is the only thing you came up with.
Years ago, I heard that the women and men sit on opposite sides of the church, and the women were yelling out questions to their husbands, and they were told to ask their husband's at home.
This is how I understand it. It is in the New Testament "The head of man is Christ and the head of woman is man and the head of Jesus is God." End of conversation. We are all equal with different positions and roles.
Thank you 🙏🏽 for the explanation of these verses! I need to watch it again but I’ve never heard someone break this down in context and use scripture to back up scripture. 🤓
I understood now in context when we read 1 Timothy 2:12 "I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet." That women cannot be in elderly leadership, which means the woman ain't allowed to have certain authority over the church due to controlling public prayers and teaching.
Mike wingers also done a video on this and an entire series called women in ministry. I think he’s a very good teacher and has been blessed by God you should check it out 😊
The key context you need to understand is the fact that all his epistles are speaking to people 2000 years ago. He is not speaking to you or the women of today. Paul was a Pastor and not Jesus, a human who tried his best and he expected the holy spirit to guide the church of the future through other sound leaders of that time. It is sound leaders of today to give guides on this issues in our own context and God is fine with that because he is not limited to one generation. He is a God of Generations.
@@jamesbass6283 That’s a false take because in the Bible when you read to the summary of all his letters it says it refers to the churches of that time and those in the future.

I Tim 2:12 "I do not permit women to teach or have authority over a man". Scripture then explains to two reasons in the next two verses. All permanent prophets, elders, deacons, pastor-teachers in scriptures are men. You have worldly arguments but violate scriptural truth. Teachers will stand the greater condemnation.
I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. Yet she will be saved through childbearing-if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control. - 1 Timothy 2:12-15 ESV

Thanks for this video. You have stated what I was taught 28 years ago and I found it very reassuring after hearing pastor John’s sermon on women being silent in the church. I don’t know if any other women found his sermons on this subject intimidating but I certainly did.
Pray God lifts the scales from the lukewarm and lost eyes, opens their ears and soften their hearts. Pray God brings revival to the earth. Pray the Lord of Harvest send forth laborers into the harvest. Pray God strengthens His children, gives them more discernment and wakes them up 🆙
Makes no difference to me. There are false pastors both men and women who teach error and not the whole counsel of the Word of God these days; so we have to always check back with God ourselves. That is to say, we should seek maturity by the Spirit of God, worshipping Him in both Spirit and Truth.. balancing both the spirit (applicable meaning) and letter of the law. Not one without the other.
speaking in tongue is about foreign languages... meaning if no one is there that doesn't know that language they shall be quiet, because they would not make sense to the rest of the church.
Happy to hear a good teaching on the subject. My grandparents went to a church where everyone was doing it, and the first time I went as a child I was terrified.
It says in the scriptures quench not the spirit mosley not the ox that thredeat the corn does women receive a different holygost from men Jesus gave the woman at the well water that was not in the well and sent her to go and tell Jesus said look the field is white and ready to harvest but the laborers are few and he that repeat receiveth wages the scriptures says ministers must wait on ministering from thirty to fifty years Jesus waited until he was about thirty most of these preachers has not wait they run but are not sent by Jesus preachers must wait until they receive the holygost and endue with power from heaven so that they can do the work of heaven and divide the word of truth

"How were church services being conducted in this time period? Well, they're actually very, very different in those times as compared to how we do church in 2022." Shouldn't we see that as a problem?
They were conducted differently cos there was a few of them, you can't gather hundreds of people in someone's home anymore. When Jesus was preachiing to 5000, he didn't do it in a house. But we still have churches that gather in houses that if they're not big enough.
Women are the main people in church; especially single women. The majority of people in church are women. We serve and do most of the work and are the main tithers.
It all goes back to the garden of Eden. That's the very point, there are only women in church because real men cannot find a place. The divine order was disrupted by the enemy when he deceived Eve. Adam was supposed to lead but he sinned by allowing her to lead his decision to do what God told him not to do. She listened to the serpent, he listened to the woman, and no one listened to God. The Bible says that her desire shall be for the husband and he will rule over her. This verse means that because of the curse of Eve, women will have a natural tendency to want to rule, be leader or be in control over her man, and the very fact that there are so many women pastors when the Bible is clear that a woman cannot be a pastor is very evident of the curse of Eve, and also the very evidence of weak men allowing it, and agreeing with women in leadership over men is evidence of the curse of Adam. God is constantly telling women to be silent in different ways and that it is precious in his sight. The Bible tells women that if their husband is not obeying God to win him without a word. The Bible says women are to be a quiet and gentle Spirit which is precious in the eyes of God. If Eve was quiet and not talking to the serpent she would not have been deceived. If Adam led and obeyed God, and never hearkened to the voice of his wife which was a form of submission to her then none of this would have never. Seems that nothing is new under the sun, because weak men are still allowing women to lead, and women are still fighting for a voice to be heard even if it means disobeying the word of God, when if they where to submit and be silent like God said, he would open the door for women's voices to be heard in a way that would not only be heard by everyone but would glorify Him. Everyone is out of order and trying to add to the scripture because of culture and their feelings. Just fall in line both men and women.
@@jameelhambrick9041 If Eve had been taking care of home cooking and cleaning instead of running her mouth with the serpent she would not have gotten into trouble. Women don’t need to be working. So you shall come to the Levitical priests or the judge who is in office in those days, and you shall inquire of them and they will declare to you the verdict. Paul in 1 Tim 2:12 is not prohibiting women in Ephesus like Priscilla (present in Ephesus in 2 Tim 4:19) from assuming properly delegated or recognized authority. After all Acts approvingly notes, she “explained to [Apollos] the way of God more accurately” (18:26 NASB). Although both Luke and Paul, following Greek custom, introduce Aquila and Priscilla listing the husband’s name first (Acts 18:2; 1 Cor 16:19), in every passage about their active ministry, they list Priscilla’s name first (Acts 18:18, 26; Rom 16:3), contrary to Greek convention. This makes it virtually certain that she played a significant, if not the dominant, role in their ministry. Not surprisingly, then, in both Paul’s most extensive lists of his colleagues in ministry, 2 Tim 4:19-21 and Rom 16:1-16, the first person he greets is Prisca, addressing her by the more respectful form of her name, which he always uses. Similarly, since Phoebe delivered the letter to the Romans as Paul’s emissary (Rom 16:1-2), she naturally answered the Roman Christians’ questions about it and thus was its first expositor, teaching adult men. All this shows that 1 Tim 2:12 must not prohibit women such as Priscilla and Phoebe, who had properly recognized authority, from teaching men. It simply prohibits women without recognized authority from assuming authority to teach a man. Here are women in the Bible who were PROPHETS, Pastors, and Apostles: Priscilla- an early church missionary, Co-Pastor, and theologian. (Acts 18:24-27) Phoebe was the Deaconess and leader of the church at Cenchreae. (Romans 16:1-2) Anna was a Prophetess as seen in Luke 2:36-38 Junia was an Apostle called that by, Paul himself(Romans 16:7)
The reason McCarthur said she had to go home was because she is a Pastor. Woman are not literally expected to be quiet but having a leadership position not meant for women is different. This is not to say women can't teach in a proper setting or learn just like men can but everything must be done in order. Paul clearly teaches headship. Prophesying can mean a couple of things and each one has to be understood in its context.
@BPP WARGAMING honestly I've seen some of Allen's videos that make me wonder why he believes certain things. An example would be when he did the overview of Revelation. That video was pretty revealing about him and how he comes to his conclusions.
@kathy miller OK, let me be clear. She is the president of Living proof Ministries. She guides and acts like the pastor but doesn't call herself one. As far as I can tell she is the head of that church/organization. The issue is not the title but the role. She is also an egalitarian, so she would not agree with complimentarian views, which she calls unbiblical.
I actually hope someone does see this: the verse about women keeping silent also says that it is because it is “as the law says.” The Hellenistic law that would have been active in Corinth forbade women from speaking in public gatherings. So, I believe that it is very likely that the law Paul was speaking of was Roman law, (after all there is nothing about women not speaking in the Old Testament law), and that therefore the shame of women speaking in church would have only been because of the cultural/political context of the time and place.
Thank you Joel. I appreciate the right reading of that verse .. please share on as you can coz it can be healing to some women and a sound correction to biased men led by their feelings over the Life giving Word of God. I have in my own life been so turned away from the Word due to stuff like that from "leaders" who ought know better. Wasted precious years keeping a distance from feasting on God's good holy text.
Wrong Mr.joel! Because if you read 1 Corinthians 14:37 Paul says, If any man think of himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that these things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord! So no sir,Paul was not talking about the Roman law in 1Corinthians 14:34. Read the whole chapter and don't cherry pick.

Great point on women teaching in church. Another point that was brought up was that Paul was addressing women who converted from Artemis (goddess) worship to becoming Christians. They brought some of their bad habits from their previous beliefs into the church. Each verse from the way they dressed, hair styles, jewelry were all addressed in connection to the way they worshipped Artemis. So Paul was addressing a specific issue in Corinth
@@ethanweber7976 by studying outside information on Artemis and Dianna worship during the time Paul wrote this gives a clearer picture of what was happening. Further evidence of Paul addressing goddess worship in Act 19 vs 28. Also when you study how women were emulating these goddesses, it fits perfectly into what Paul was addressing
@@danamurphy5241 I understand that was going on in the culture at that time. My point is that you have to actually link the text to that. Paul actually gives the anchor for his argument. His reasoning is tied to creation. So the real argument is about creation order. I understand the importance of context, but there was a lot of different cultural influences at that time and place. My point is you can't just claim context when the text doesn't even reference that cultural phenomenon. You have to prove IN THE TEXT that is what Paul is addressing.
@@ethanweber7976 I agree with you on Paul putting order in the church, I totally agree with that. However, today I think we misunderstood what Paul's intentions were when writing the letter. We think Paul was just trying to come down on women when that wasn't the case. It addressed an overall issue of God's order, but if we don't understand that Paul was addressing a culture back then, then we'll overdo it with our misunderstanding of the text. Paul never wrote that to mean women sit back and shut up, no he was addressing each issue that was causing division in the church. Each point he touched on was directly related to women coming out of goddess worship. Even down to the point of being saved through child birth. Remember, Paul knew women who were active teachers as well. Remember Aquila and Priscilla who were a husband and wife team. So again context matters so that we don't go to far out of line with scripture
Genesis 3:16 To the woman he said, “I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be contrary to your husband, but he shall rule over you. Timothy 3 1-7 This is a trustworthy saying: If anyone aspires to be an overseer, HE desires a noble task. An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the HUSBAND of but one wife, atemperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not dependent on wine, not violent but gentle, peaceable, and free of the love of money. An overseer must manage HIS own household well and keep his children under control, with complete dignity. For if someone does not know how to manage HIS own household, how can he care for the church of God? HE must not be a recent convert, or HE may become conceited and fall under the same condemnation as the devil. Furthermore, HE must have a good reputation with outsiders, so that HE will not fall into disgrace and into the snare of the devil. 1Timothy 3: 11-13 A deacon must be the HUSBAND of but one wife, a good manager of HIS children and of HIS own household. For those who have served well as deacons acquire for themselves a high standing and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus. Titus 2:3-5 Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. Proverbs 31: 3 Do not give your strengths to women, your ways to those who destroy kings. Proverbs 31:10-31 An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands. She is like the ships of the merchant; she brings her food from afar. She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household and portions for her maidens. She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard. She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong. She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp does not go out at night. She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle. She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household are clothed in scarlet. She makes bed coverings for herself; her clothing is fine linen and purple. Her husband is known in the gates when he sits among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them; she delivers sashes to the merchant. Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Giver her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates. James 1:26-27 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. 1Timothy 5:9-17 Let a widow be enrolled if she is not less than sixty years of age, having been the wife of one husband, and having a reputation for good works: if she has brought up children, has shown hospitality, has washed the feet of the saints, has cared for the afflicted, and has devoted herself to every good work. But refuse to enroll younger widows, for when their passions draw them away from Christ, they desire to marry and so incur condemnation for having abandoned their former faith. Besides that, they learn to be idlers, going about from house to house, and not only idlers, but also gossips and busybodies, saying what they should not. So I would have younger widows marry, bear children, manage their households, and give the adversary no occasion for slander. For some have already strayed after Satan. If any believing woman has relatives who are widows, let her care for them. Let the church not be burdened, so that it may care for those who are truly widows. Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.
Thanks & God bless you for your efforts trying to trace out correct interpretation of Scriptures. Though I am NOT too convinced of your conclusion on the meaning of the restrictions placed on women in Church meetings.
Real talk, Brother! I agree with you wholeheartedly that women are able to be pastors, teachers, and leaders in the church. Makes no sense that women would be allowed to teach your children or lead Bible study groups, but not preach. Everything must be done in LOVE.

great teaching in every way. thank you. I have heard some great women teachers and I was called into the ministry the night a woman preached a sermon that God used to help me to understand what I was to do.
God bless you man for giving credit where credit is due (a biblical principle too)! If women can't teach/preach His Word or give prophecies.. (gifts from God) or if they are to speak only to children and women, how can the same Scriptures refute itself all over the place in the bible? The no.1 rule to understanding all scripture is to let scripture interpret scripture.. one will do well to bear that in mind. For me there is no context in my life to keep silent before the opposite sex with a title or not, if I have something of value to say. To do otherwise without a clear conviction for my conscience sure sounds absurdly discriminatory. Now if a woman's teachings are not agreeable to the Holy Bible (Word) of God, then she is not to be listened to nor followed. But that is something gender agnostic -- a counterfeit christian man's teaching that contradicts the Authority of the Word of God must not be listened to nor followed either! So I reckon the content of the messenger speaker, be it as per what the living Spirit of God is saying or not ought to be the measuring rod. And hence I find this sort of study emphasis specifically a mere distraction from what's of more critical value to be made known really. In summary, my conviction to date over the matter of woman vs man roles for the home or at church, is this.. for anyone else who may see/read this. What the Apostle Paul wrote to a certain church/churches applied to that time in the cultural context of their day for sure, as well as just being a generic warning for women not to usurp a man's position of authority - but only as he himself submits to the authority of God by Jesus's responsible example (who did not find it a deal to "lord" over). NOTE this foremostly and all will be right rather than twisted or mis-taught. In households, God's design being for a man to be a man - was/is specifically For Accountability sake I.E. God holds in responsibility to answer before God on behalf of that which he is caring/protecting over (not for a dominion rule over his wife and children and.or enterprises) -- so if it is to remain that way.. it should be purely for a Protection sake against the approach of serpent bites; seeing how the devil was "cunning and approached the woman first" (potentially a divine order that he breached upfront from the genesis of human male and female then). So likewise in a church home setup too, the idea is set up for an ultimate Head figure to be a man - to fulfil for that line of Accountability! I.e. it is purely for spiritual protection sake, and no other ego led "rules" and debates. Hope this helps
@@trulyso734 Where does it say that? Spiritual or in authroity, men are in charge of the house and women submits to the man and the children submits to the parents. Man is accountable to God and have more burdens placed on them. So ego is completely irrelevant in this point. Your husband says something and he is a wise man, it must be followed.
@@ifirespondiamstupid7750 Don't forget that The Bible says that every person is responsible for their own salvation. Women are not supposed to wait for their husbands to teach them, nor does the Bible say that a woman can't teach her husband anything. Look at the Proverbs 31 woman. That woman goes out with money that she made and looks at a field and evaluates whether it is good or not, and buys it. This whole debate doesn't make any sense. Men who distort the definition of submission and say that women can't teach men, are men who want to feel like men at the EXPENSE of women.. instead of going through the trials and challenges that are required to become real men in the eyes and standard of the Lord. Women are not to bow down to men. To submit means to let him lead. But it doesn't mean that she has to act in a way that subverts her strength, spiritual knowledge, spiritual relationship with God. God is not looking for women to be in a lesser place.
I agree with this teaching and want to add that Paul said "I do not permit a women to speak in church", he did NOT say "God does not permit". This command is NOT part of the Law (Torah) and while we're not under the old law but the new covenant, no person can create "new" Torah. There was nothing under the law forbidding women to speak or prophesy, although traditionally it was always more male dominant.
THANK YOU! This has bothered me for the past three years. In the Bible, Paul said several things where he was speaking for himself and not God. This has been bothering me for several years.

Questioning the husbands in the middle of church and talking is what a pastor told me years ago that what this scripture means. The Bible specifically says that in Christ there is no male or female, so there is no way God is telling people that women should not preach or teach in church. Women can preach, and to men.
Question? How do women be silent and sing songs at the same time? If people took let women remain silent literally without studying then that means no praying don’t talk about the gospel. A woman can talk about 1 million things except for the Gospel.
A woman can share the gospel. She can sing, pray etc. Silent is not “not speaking at all” - but referring to her posture within the corporate setting as it relates to during the giving of the Word. 1 Tim 2:14 bolster’s that context better. It’s about authority and order and less literally speaking at all.
I think that the prohibition against women speaking during a church meeting pertains to them speaking or operating AUTHORITATIVELY over men such as preaching sermons or teaching Bible classes with mdn under them, and there is nothing in the text that indicates that this applies only to the current culture that the Corinthians lived in because the prohibition is repeated in other places and the reason given is that Adam was created first and given authority over his wife and so men have headship over women and when they forfeit it or women usurp them bad things happen. Singing and praying is not the same as speaking authoritatively but because men have headship and it is primarily the job of the shepherd to intercede for his sheep and lead them in praise and worship like Jesus did, I think that if a woman is to sing and pray with men present then she should do so under the authority and alongside the male church leader rather than leading it herself. Finally, there is a difference between the confines of a formal, corporate worship meeting and the fellowship that happens alongside it, and while we should have both in every congregation we should also recognize the difference. Paul lays out what happens during a corporate worship meeting in 1 Corinthians 14:1-4, and what happens during fellowship, which is also worship, is described in Acts 2:42-47. Preaching and teaching doesn't take place during informal fellowship but free biblical discussion about what is taught can, and during that time women should be encouraged to speak and give counsel, prayer, warning, encouragement, etc, just as long as they do so with a gentle and quiet spirit and with consideration of their husband and they do not become combative and prideful over other men. Also, women conferences are different than formal corporate worship meetings but still these should be authorized by the pastor of the congregation that the speaking woman is leading or co-leading and the woman's husband should approve and be acknowledged. This interpretation is something that can be applied everywhere and for the rest of church history until our Lord returns.
Thank u so much for help in clarity of the Word. God is so very faithful and thank you for being His servant!! As I studied the scripture I knew in my spirit that their was something missing in Paul's statement of women keep silent. This lesson made sense. Bringing in the Historical contexts and relevant Scriptural comparisons clarified this difficult and contentious point. Thank You.
I don't believe the Bible is a series of Paul's opinions and I also don't believe the Bible has an expiration date - especially in the New Testament. If God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow then we can understand it more if we read the Bible carefully with the Holy Spirit. I believe there's a big difference between a pastoral position vs a prophet or being in the worship choir. The Bible says women can teach other women on how to take care of their family and home. Staying silent in leadership is because Eve was deceived. Man is the one who is appointed to lead. Women, please do yourself a favor and read the Bible and act accordingly. Jesus Christ loves women more than putting them in a situation that creates problems.
I used to speak in tongues. From my experience. I felt fire and a warm sensation. At times, doing so, I hear God directing me towards someone. I can sense all their pain and what ever they are going through. I hear God telling me to approach them sometimes to let them know what he shown me and sometimes their future. So far, everything came true. Other times, just me and God talking. I feel peaceful and joy. Not sure what y’all thoughts on that but, just some experience with it. Also, I be at religious churches. I start speaking in it. Not super loudly but somewhat. Some members can hear it. I approach a few people who are Catholics ( just one example of a religious church it happens) and tell them what God shown me what they been through. They be shocked and questions their own beliefs.
John MacArthur is the one who taught me 40 years ago (via radio broadcast) that the reason for Paul's thoughts on women in this verse was because women sat is the back (and had more questions because they had not been allowed to attend Shiva school) and they would ask their husbands during the service but it was disruptive because they were having to yell from the rafters. 🤗

What I absolutely love about you Allan and about your videos is that you don't just take one first and State unequivocally this is what it says. I've been raised or taught over the last 2 to 3 years that you cannot do that when you look at the Bible you have to look at the time and you have to look at the culture and you have to look at how things were going on at that time and you have to look at the verses before and after the verse in question otherwise it is open for misinterpretation which is often what happens. Thank you for your continued great work and videos
Jesus is same yesterday today and tomorrow so it’s not a matter of fitting scripture into our society as you suggest but changing society to fit the scriptures.
Paul was clear and explicit on this, as he was on the topic of homosexuality. Everybody is free to live the life they want but no one is free to distort the Scriptures.

These women were helping to support them out of their own means.”

This is one of the best no-nonsense teachings I have heard on this verse and subject. Good order in the material.

@@victoryhouse1446 same here!!! It made me laugh 🤣
A Disciple--you’re kidding right?
you can't be serious!

A woman could only be given the authority by God to execute a man for his sin, if women are spiritually equal to men. A Judge could judge homicide cases according to Deuteronomy. Therefore Deborah, as a Judge, could execute a man for his sin.

Well spoken Margie. You made excellent points!
I agree also
But which women is Paul talking to?
Judges 4:4-5
4 Now Deborah, a prophet, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time.

I don't care about the culture. Judges 4 is suggested.
Lies again? Grab Bible Awkward Silence

One must remember that we are reading letters written to specific churches addressing specific issues within those churches, and we may not be even reading the “first” letter written and may be picking up somewhere in the middle of a series of letters in a lot of cases, these letters were then taken and read amongst many churches of that day, but in that day what else was spread was the cultural understanding of what each letter was addressing, the cultural understanding is what’s lost on us today and it’s up to us as led by the spirit to grasp it as best we can,
This was one of the best videos I’ve seen addressing this topic, quick and concise as well as utilizing a logical thought process to understand what the word was saying, I am grateful for the work you do on this channel

This teaching is definitely one of those that I will share with my friends, family, and congregants who are struggling to understand this passage. This was well done.
Thank you for your time and attendance to the Word of God.
The phrase “it’s cultural” is minimizing Gods mind as if he didn’t know the “culture “ would change, hence the reason he compared it to the Creation

If you are shying away from these topics you should ask yourself why. Pray to God to increase your faith which is biblical.

@@ifirespondiamstupid7750God NEVER made sexism, so stop calling it "natural order". Humans invented discrimination.

Once again A good lesson. I’m glad that the Holy Spirit put this on your heart to do this series I am learning so much thanks again

Great Word and insight brother Allen Parr. You got my monthly support.
@@jamesbass6283how would a believer know what is meant for just the people in that time and what is meant for today? Could we not say that for all of the epistles? Not trying to argue, I'm just genuinely confused.

Paul was right women can teach kids like Sunday class but not preach a sermon
I Tim 2:12 "I do not permit women to teach or have authority over a man". Scripture then explains to two reasons in the next two verses. All permanent prophets, elders, deacons, pastor-teachers in scriptures are men. You have worldly arguments but violate scriptural truth. Teachers will stand the greater condemnation.
Was Yah speaking…or was Shaul…🤷🏿♀️
Best interpretation of this topic i have watched. Thank you so much
Thank you for this, Allen!

Pray God strengthens His children, gives them more discernment and wakes them up 🆙
Its not talking about praise and worship. Its talking about the decisions and direction of the church.
I used to listen to women pastors but after reading The Bible I don't think I should do that anymore 😢
People saying in the comments that women can't teach forget Jesus had women disciples who spread the gospel.
Happy to hear a good teaching on the subject. My grandparents went to a church where everyone was doing it, and the first time I went as a child I was terrified.

"How were church services being conducted in this time period? Well, they're actually very, very different in those times as compared to how we do church in 2022."

Exactly
They were conducted differently cos there was a few of them, you can't gather hundreds of people in someone's home anymore. When Jesus was preachiing to 5000, he didn't do it in a house. But we still have churches that gather in houses that if they're not big enough.
@@daisiesandpandas1218maybe we shouldn't gather hundreds of ppl in one congregation🤔
Women are the main people in church; especially single women. The majority of people in church are women. We serve and do most of the work and are the main tithers.
I was just about to say this. Men are literally barely in church. If they are they work there not part of the congregation.
Totally. Eventually churches will just be women. Then what???.
That is not scriptural. It says this:
And He gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.

Lol wut. Middle East society is based on a strong focus on men being the heads of their households and those same men are known to beat and abuse their wives. Women are also restricted on how much they can be educated. This is my chapter in my bible study today. I had to go to this to help me understand the passage about women.☺️ Thanks again, Allen.
Here are women in the Bible who were PROPHETS, Pastors, and Apostles:
Priscilla- an early church missionary, Co-Pastor, and theologian. (Acts 18:24-27)
Phoebe was the Deaconess and leader of the church at Cenchreae. (Romans 16:1-2) Anna was a Prophetess as seen in Luke 2:36-38
Junia was an Apostle called that by, Paul himself(Romans 16:7)
This makes sense. This makes A LOT of sense. Thank you, my brother. As a fellow TH-camr, your graphics are pretty impressive too.
Very good points my brother! Pray or prophecy with head uncovered!
thank You. You solved a large problem for me with this video. It gives peace to my heart and mind. Love and blessings
Allan Parr is usually a good interpreter I don’t know how he miss that he’s been coming for McCarthur a while now and I thought that was his guy
@BPP WARGAMING honestly I've seen some of Allen's videos that make me wonder why he believes certain things. An example would be when he did the overview of Revelation. That video was pretty revealing about him and how he comes to his conclusions.
she is a teacher. she has never said she was a pastor. mccarther is against all women teaching.
She is not a pastor. She is a teacher targeting women. She goes to her son in law's church. Without love, we are a clanking gong and symbol.
I agree. Paul elsewhere said to follow the laws of government, so it makes sense.

Paul is speaking saying for SHE is to ask Him any question at home for mean a wife of a Pastor. So Paul talking about a certain situation where as a Man/Pastor in Church of God who is teaching His Word Correctly "Then shall a woman/wife remain silent & Let Him do of this & to ask Him any questions at home for she/woman at home is his wife here. For GOD, Jesus or Paul never said a woman cannot teach The Word of God & in a church of God.

John MacArthur nailed it. There's no case for women to be pastors at all in ALL THE CHURCHES OF SAINTS
How is his wife..

Paul, thanks for commenting on these issues. The bible does not contradict itself, if we feel it does, then we do need to dig deep into the word of God and also view it contexually.

100% this is a factor.
This is a claim. You actually have to tie the text to the context.
Genesis 3:16
To the woman he said,
“I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing;
in pain you shall bring forth children.
Your desire shall be contrary to your husband, but he shall rule over you.
Timothy 3 1-7
This is a trustworthy saying: If anyone aspires to be an overseer, HE desires a noble task.
1Timothy 3: 11-13
A deacon must be the HUSBAND of but one wife, a good manager of HIS children and of HIS own household. For those who have served well as deacons acquire for themselves a high standing and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.
Titus 2:3-5
Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.
Proverbs 31: 3
Do not give your strengths to women, your ways to those who destroy kings.
Proverbs 31:10-31
An excellent wife who can find?
She is far more precious than jewels.
The heart of her husband trusts in her,
and he will have no lack of gain.
She does him good, and not harm,
all the days of her life.
She seeks wool and flax,
and works with willing hands.
She is like the ships of the merchant;
she brings her food from afar.
She rises while it is yet night
and provides food for her household
and portions for her maidens.
She considers a field and buys it;
with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.
She dresses herself with strength
and makes her arms strong.
She perceives that her merchandise is profitable.
Her lamp does not go out at night.
She puts her hands to the distaff,
and her hands hold the spindle.
She opens her hand to the poor
and reaches out her hands to the needy.
She is not afraid of snow for her household,
for all her household are clothed in scarlet.
She makes bed coverings for herself;
her clothing is fine linen and purple.
Her husband is known in the gates
when he sits among the elders of the land.
She makes linen garments and sells them;
she delivers sashes to the merchant.
Strength and dignity are her clothing,
and she laughs at the time to come.
She opens her mouth with wisdom,
and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
She looks well to the ways of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women have done excellently,
but you surpass them all.”
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Giver her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.
James 1:26-27
If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
1Timothy 5:9-17
Let a widow be enrolled if she is not less than sixty years of age, having been the wife of one husband, and having a reputation for good works: if she has brought up children, has shown hospitality, has washed the feet of the saints, has cared for the afflicted, and has devoted herself to every good work.

Don’t lean onto your own understanding brother ask God to open up your understanding that scripture
@@LisaMarie_Porter Thanks most people don’t explain that very well.
Amen to that my brother.

Pretty interesting that you and Mike released released videos on the same topic in the same week. Great minds think alike.
