Thank you, Virginia. Would you consider your own Facebook group as an adequate platform for writing, or would it be better to send people to your personal website or blog?
This is with regards to someone who would be very early in this career, with a limited following

Heya, Great question - I would say a Facebook group is not as accessible as your own website or blog, and I'm not an expert in Facebook groups so I probably cannot give you the answer you're looking for. I think anything can work if you're happy to stick to it for a long time - If you give it a try I would love to hear how it goes :)

@@writeclinic Can I also start work as a health writer as a pharmacy student? Most of the health writers I've been seeing online are professionals, will a student be able to fit in to the competition? 🥲

@@writeclinicpls uhmm...I noticed most of the health writers I've met online so far are full blown professionals, will it be possible to fit in to the competitive space as a pharmacy undergraduate?

Yes, I have worked with students before in a medical communications agency - often students have more availability than a medical writer during peak seasons (such as winter/autumn). I have trained a biomedical undergraduate and a medical undergraduate - both during my time at the agency, as they were available and did about 5 to 10 hours of work per month, plus extra during summer (but not during exam time).

Everyone starts somewhere, and the sooner you start the better you get over time. Writing is not something you have to practice over time, and the top writers get busy quickly because companies know this. So they are willing to train young writers in the hopes they can teach you what they need you to write (such as the writing style for a specific client).

Heya, Yes of course you can be, you do not need C1 or C2 English, I recommend minimum B1 or B2
