I had no idea this job existed before 15 minutes ago. I have a degree in Medical Technology but I've always had a passion for writing, and now I fear Im going DEEP in a rabbit hole researching medical writing 😂. I'm super interested in this.

Your video is absolutely amazing mate. I spent some time looking at a few other videos before watching yours and I really couldn't get the information that I wanted. Your video honestly summarized everything that I wanted to know about what medical writing is. So very nicely done, extremely informative, very concise.
    Thank you🙏🏻

You don't need a degree to be a medical copywriter. You just have to be a good research and strong writing skills.

a degree in research (masters) will shorten your time to be employed as a professional medical writer, whereas a bachelor of (non-related/too general major) takes you a long time until your project investigator gives you a chance to be involved in writing for the project. And to be honest, name of the author is very important in terms of how trust-worthy the paper is. Speaking from health professional, 3 years in pharmacy, 4 years in research and only getting my first co-authorship on the 7th year

@@Lynn-pp8vn Would you share your journey of entering this field? I currently lack experience, although I have published one article in a different language and I'm on track to complete my master's degree. Before fully committing to medical writing as my career, I would appreciate gaining some practical experience. Additionally, in terms of pursuing a master's degree, which areas of specialization do you believe would enhance my prospects in the field of medical writing?

@@LM-nu9te to be honest I know someone working in a renowned university in my city, and they were looking for data entry person, so my first job was data entry, then took on more tasks later. Yet only when i moved to another country that I got to be involved in a paper. Still my supervisor suggests getting a masters of public health (my field) so i am qualified to write papers

I don't have a degree, but I've been a court reporter for 30 years, transcribing medical malpractice and workers' comp deps almost daily. I feel like I could be a medical writer, but do I necessarily have to have a degree or work as a medical professional?

These salaries seem very low. I just read up on a reddit forum for some medical writers or senior medical writers making 90-120k a year. Most of them coming from science backgrounds (i.e. PhD, Pharm D). I'm wondering if it's possible to start out making 85-100k a year as a medical writer without pursuing a doctorate or phD degree. If so, what would be the best programs/ways in order to do this. My goal is to have it done within 2 years and start working ASAP as I'm 35 now so time is of the essence. Thanks

Would having an English degree and experience as a pharmacy tech help? Or would I need to go back to school to study something related in the medical field?

This is so interesting. Is it possible to get into this field if I have no background in the medical field or writing? Where would I begin to get into this field? I'm very interested.

The medical writing jobs you are talking are mostly posted by multinational CRO. Can a foreign doctors who have experiences apply for the jobs ?? Or Do i need working visa to apply even the jobs will be done remotely (Fully Remote) ?
