Here's a huge tip-you get one life for these, so all the skills that only normally activate with one life left are on for the entire hunt. Use as many of them as possible.
As a claw main I had a horrible time with Tombtail. With the size of the arena and all the trees, once hooked on it often felt like a dice roll if I was pulling into an attack or a window. MH style silhouettes would be a nice quality of life in combat.
I have a full build, have tried human and kemono build, played with ressurection, use harpoons and traps and elemental lanterns, and I have not defeated the Lurid Soulstalker for 5 days now, had no problem with fighting kemono all game, even the other volatiles were a trial and error of maybe 2-3 times max. But the Wolf? I don't even stand a chance. I have tried every weapon and have tried him at least 30 times now, I just cannot kill that boy
I don't know if it's something the game does if it thinks you're targeting a specific monster for orbs or if it was a glitch, but I did a hunt against volatile deathstalker and got 8 orbs. None of them were from a quest reward they were all kill reward. I didn't have acquisition on. I haven't had this happen again. The only factors I can think had any possible influence is that before the hunt, I had just crafted the armor for the cladding I wanted, and I had exactly 5 of the snow region orbs. Other than that, I was running a part breaking claw blades build, but I've done that for pretty much every volatile hunt and have not seen anywhere near 8 magic orbs from one hunt again.
Deeply volatile deathstalker was tough, but compared to goldshard he was nothing. I beat him in 3 attempts and goldshard took me an entire night of grinding :/
Thank you for the video. Really. I just can’t kill deathstalker(not alone, not in groups which often sucks even more at him) and if the only thing lies behind are new talisman, well, then I don’t care at all. I have had a hate love relationship with this game, I still think it’s combat system isn’t good and too much iFames, not always predictable and sometimes just unfair and unbalanced for the sack of pleasing people of wanting a hard time, but in the end I had my fair share of fun, maybe not 80 bucks worth but 60 definitely. But the end game grind for cosmetics and talisman is just boring. If they would at least give you something to power up your armor or weapon to make you not one hit. Tried a total safe water set for deathstalker and a fragile kemono mault built but it didn’t make a difference. And that’s what I expect from grind, to get myself ready for the hardest fight, to be able to make a set that’s helps me to survive in exchange for a little damage. But yeah, this game tries to force you to learn the iFrames and because I suck at this, well, I maybe play it once in a while but the long term motivation without having something in return for trying hours in a row isn’t just there. Magical orbs are way to rare, that sucks a lot too, the cloth system just sucks it makes no fun at all. You look like shit and have to deal with it. But overall it’s a solid 76/100 when Sunbreak is 82 for me and Iceborne a 87.
Thank you for mentioning celestial breath, I just finished making a sword with 70% thread spooler. Now I can keep using my sword with 70% destruction art! When I get to farming for talismans are there decent numbers for destruction art instead of 3%?
I encountered lots of players not knowing what the use of hunter's arm or placing fusion karakuris. I know it may look cool for you beating it without using karakuri but ya that's not how it works especially if you're in a party of 3. do u guys have experienced it too? just to be clear, I've seen great players out there who had mastered the game thoroughly but idk how the others had advance not knowing the most critical info especially when fighting in teams 😂
bought this game a couple of days ago, and played about an hour. the fps was so bad i had to refund it. really hope they fix the optimization so more can play this..
I really really DETEST the gimmick of this channel…yall’s funny voices and absurd thumbnails have haunted me for generations of monhun…but this video was very helpful…so…arigatou…I suppose…
Question unrelated to topic, im pretty much a beginner here. Is there a katakuri for storage? I maxed out on what I can carry and have been for over a week. A friends made me a storage unit for food. So that made me think there might be an one for items too
It's all about skill, i have end game build and weapon but can't beat miasmic grimquill 😅, thanks for the video, i will keep placing traps until i manage to take him out, using bow with sleep status but only once i got it to proc
@@christopherlawrence1148 Ohh thanks, this is my 2nd one, was thinking if this was hard i might just give up trying deathstalker 😅... Miasmic nails me everytime he does that spinning attack, if trap doesn't get him i dodge once or twice but never the third time
@@crazy8slayer you mean the spore tail? I did it with randoms aswell, 1st try, only 30 to 40 seconds left aswell 😅, and thanks to healing mist and the gate that give us shields 😂
Seems they patched being able to just redo the quest to farm the same monster in a duo. After you slay the first one it swaps it for another but keeps the monster you didn’t slay. Shame. Way to grindy.
I love this game. However, the endgame is a convoluted mess and way too grindy. The amount of time it takes just to get layered armor is ridiculous. If it was for some Uber weapons or armor I'd understand.
Just use traps and healing mist along with a good fire based claw weapon and wind resistant armour. It took me a few goes but once you learn tempests moveset and the windows of when is best to attack, dodge then it's pretty straightforward
@@Fabian...... not if rngesus deems you unworthy. Killed a golden tempest for its claws about 20 or so times and only managed to build 1 golden tempest weapon. I refuse to fight him more cause of those damn claws

Would be nice if the deeply volatile monsters had sets. Feels like arch tempered without the reward of getting a set
bruuuuuuh. The tip about how to kill a volatile without rotating is amazing. Thank you for that!!

I've been using resurrection since early game, easily the best survival skill for hard content

I get the feeling that the Deeply Volatile kemono are going to work like the title update monsters.
I'm trying to get golden tempest orbs, the volatile version spawns in Akikure Canyon right?

What's the next quest after "hunt freely, live freely"? I manage to kill the 4 deeply volatile kemonos but still, I'm with the same quest.
I’m trying to find Harugasumi Orbs they won’t drop just the kemono orbs

I hope there's gonna be an update that will fix all of the game's technical issues, because there's so much potential in the game!!!! 🐻⚔
Last patch fix slow mode bug and many problems and the game break essance bug
hmm I killed a kemono in a duo quest without finishing the other one, left the area but the mats disappeared?

Thanx for answering. Mabey we will get more storage space or a storage katakuri in a future update :'(

Lol I can't even beat Golden Tempest solo. I guess I'm done

So how does your game look so good but I got my shit on max and still looks bad?
Layered armor requires that you build the actual armor piece. Same thing for human and kemono path layered armor. This is too much
if your at end game and did all the quests you should more than enough mats
Making the armor itself is the least of my worries since i got an endgame build. It's farming the orbs amd hope I get good RNG
