So guys, welcome back to another video and this is a follow up from the previous video which is on my channel Unboxing Next Gen (PS5/ XBOX SERIES X|S) Ready BenQ MOBIUZ EX2710 1080p 144Hz Monitor, today we will be testing the 120Hz capability of this monitor on the next gen consoles, aswell as the monitors ability to allow a 4K image passthrough and downscaling the image. The ability of allowing 4K passthrough is soley on the monitor it self and not the console as the monitor features a HDMI 2.0 port which allows a 4K signal and downscales the image. Let me know what you think about the monitor, if you have it would you reccomend it?

I have the 25 inches. It's one of the best 1080p Monitor BenQ has ever made.
I have to 100% agree with you on that one, I prefer a bigger screen so I went with the 27 instead

Sorry in the first sentence did u mean "ps5 or xbox series x"? If so yh best of waiting there's no point in paying over the odds, the consoles are really good I have both, but not worth paying over the price, I pre ordered the ps5 last year on September 17th and got it at launch, as with the series x I bought it in April, when I walked into Game and bought a bundle with the Console
I just got this monitor a month ago and it's perfect! The monitor is sick! I use it for productivity and this is the best monitor so far than other monitors out there with the same price, even tho my wallet was crying at me XD
It's a nice monitor like really nice, price has dropped tho like quite a lot
Is the monitor loud?
The sound quality on this monitor is overall very good, and yes indeed it is very loud
Been wanting to get this since my 30th a month and half ago, but I've been saving up to get a new Hyperx headset for the time being since my last pair of Hyperx was chewed to pieces by my dogs. How high would you recommend this monitor?
Honestly this monitor is perfect, ps5 doesn't support 1440p atm, so I can't say anything about a 1440p monitor, but for 1080p this monitor is the best, a lot of people have recommended this and it has really good reviews. So it would be something I definitely would pick up

Yh at this small size 1080p is good enough I mean this monitor does display 4k60 which is downscaled and that does look really good

hey man i bought the ex2710q its the same thing just 1440p im pretty annoyed by what happens when i open or close a game or an app i have 1440p with 120hz on vrr not supported hdr off but when i open or close a game or an app the screen goes black for like maximum 5 seconds just like yours did u find a way to fix that 😅 pretty annoying but great monitor
That problem is just to do with hdr calibrating it does that, also happens on my TV and my monitors, I don't think there's any fix with it

It's a really good monitor especially for ps5, still 3 years later im using it, I've had it since I had my ps5 in launch, next month I'm upgrading my monitor to a TV which is LG OLED 55 G2, can't wait

Gameplay looks so smooth
Oh trust me, I've had this monitor since and I'm still stunned by how amazing this monitor is, by far the best gaming monitor I have used and experienced, 2nd to none and the price is just perfect. I would highly reccomend anyone to buy this monitor.

Yes it does as this is the one I'm currently using

Yh you won't be disappointed, it's an excellent monitor especially for next gen gaming, I have both this and EX2780Q, which is a 1440p 144Hz, but I prefer the ex2710 over this

Is there no remote or app for it to control the monitor without having to navigate with the back joystick?
Unfortunately there is no remote or app to control this monitor however the BenQ Ex2780q cones with a remote to control the monitor
So far no problem right if play at 4k in this modal?? I'm looking to play fifa coming soon but its 100hz
You can play 4k but it's only capped at 60hz, due to the monitor not being hdmi 2.1, however this monitor is capable of 1080p 120hz and from using this monitor I can say the graphics look beautiful. Even at 1080p

Display Port for PC, HDMI for Console.

Do you think getting a 1440p monitor is better than 1080p for xbox series s? Am looking to get a monitor which is crisp and as a high pixel density
1440p monitor is a better monitor to get than a 1080p one, the only issue was at the time of purchasing this monitor 1080p was alot cheaper than the 1440p, but since then the EX2780Q has dropped in price and wouldn't be a bad purchase I owe them both but use the EX2710 for console gaming due to the positioning of my monitors

Are you playing your ps5 on this monitor and what's its native resolution? And is it 144hz?
@@Escapad3_ am playing on series s. It’s a 4k monitor but I play on 1440p to get 120hz. Game run’s smooth but everything look’s blurry. It’s not crisp.
Oh ok, then idk maybe the monitor may have a fault I do know when I play ps5 on my 1440p monitor due to ps5 not supporting 1440p the gameplay is blurry but idk about series s unless, you're playing a 120hz game and it displays as 1080p and causes blur due to the monitor being 1440p?
I wanna ask that do we connect Nintendo switch with it too without any adapter ?!
No you will still need to use the nintendo switch dock to connect the console to the monitor as you would with any TV
Hi do you recommend this monitor for ps5 because it is 27 inch and many are saying 24 is better so is it good for gaming and ps5 the 27 inch
Both the 27 and 25 are good, I highly recommend this monitor I went with the 27 inch because I prefer a big screen 25 will be better as its smaller and pixel density will be higher,

Yh u fully recommend this monitor, some setting will need yo be tweaked but in general its a very good monitor
Upgrading from benq rl2455 60hz monitor to this but the 2510s version after 6 years of rl2455 use, hope I can tell the difference
Should be able to, this is a really good monitor especially for gaming I have no complaints
@@Escapad3_ did you notice a big difference going from 60hz to 120 or is it slight only?
At first I did it was more smoother and overall played better with the boost in fps, but overtime it just becomes a normal thing and so you don't notice it
What about Xbox Series S settings, Video Fidelity, Color depth: 24 pits per pixel(8 bit), Color Space: PC RBG
Color depth options are 24bits per Pixel, 30bits per Pixel(10-bit), 36bits per Pixel (12-bit)
Color Space options are Standard, PC RGB
I'm not too sure if I be honest, I haven't tweaked the settings since and even on the console I left it to default and it still looks great

Sorry, I don't know as I have never played that game, but I left the settings on default which come on the monitor and all games look great on it
Is this a good monitor for a next generation Xbox series s
This monitor is perfect for the Series X and the PS5 as I have both and use this monitor, due to this I believe this would also be brilliant for the Series S

Hello brother this 27 inch monitor can go 4k down scaled what about the 24,5 inch version can it go 4k down scaled too? Please I need your help
Yes this model and the EX2510 can both accept a 4K signal from an Xbox Series X and a PS5, this image is then downscaled to 1080p. Personally this is the mode I use to play
But when a game is 120Hz compatible my monitor will switch resolution to 1080p 120Hz automatically only 60Hz games rum at 4K60.

Yh that monitor is compatible with the Xbox Series S 1080p 120hz
Is the problem which is 120Hz doesn't support HDR and Free sync from the monitor or ps5 itself?
The problem was that HDR had to be disabled. But now that problem has been solved with the latest update HDR can remain on
Go to settings - screen - resolution and at the bottom of the page click enable 120Hz and this will allow u to play 120Hz with HDR on

Yes that is what I belive as my current setup I play Cold War at 1080p 120Hz with HDR on and have no issues

Yes, infact before I got my ps5, I used the monitor for my ps4 and my pc and now I use it for ps5 and pc, it's as good as 1080p 144hz will get

I'm sorry I can't remember much as I used my ps4 on this monitor for about 1 month and half, but as much as I remember I had no blurring from my experience. But this blurring could be a result of FPS and Hz on the PS4 console. But on the other side PC is perfect and I don't see any problem when using this monitor on a PC

I have tested fortnite on this monitor a while back earlier this year, and I cam confirm fortnite will run 120fps on this monitor.
Does this work for apex and fortnite?
In terms of 120hz? If they support 120hz then yes it does work for apex and fortnite
I have the same monitor, its great, but not 2 great cuz its 1080p @120hz series x and ps5 need 4k @120hz
Ps5 and xbox series x run and look good on 1080p 120hz monitor especially of this size as its small, you only notice a massive difference if you were to play on a big display but for 27inch it's perfect
What is better for the ps5 25 inches or 27inches?
Well they both are exactly the same only difference is 25 inch is smaller and will have a higher pixel density making it look slightly better, but I prefer a bigger screen hence I went for the 27inch model

With the Xbox Series X and PC yes it does. With the PS5 no it doesn't

I would like to ask you something, i have this same monitor, and i play my Xbox One on it, i used to play It on a 40 inch Samsung TV on my living room, but now in this monitor i have noticed that the graphics are way worse, the graphics are like downgraded, is this normal or there is anyway to fix or change it.
Hello, I'm not sure if this could be something to do with the Console or the monitor, when I got the monitor I did change a few settings which helped the fidelity of next gen consoles look better. Theses where simple things such as putting the monitor on standard mode, putting black equaliser on 5 (this can be person dependant), AMA to 3 and colour vibrance to 10 (persob dependant) these are the settings I use on my next gen consoles and it has improved the graphics try it on your monitor and it may also improve fidelity

Your Settings to get 120hz makes totally no sense. My PS5 is on 4k in the Menu and switches automaticly to a lower Resolution in 120hz.
The way to use 120hz has now changed, by going to settings, screen and video and enabling it

My personal preference both monitors are good and I own both but due to the PS5 not supporting 1440p, I currently game using the EX2710. Once PS5 supports 1440p then I will do a proper test on the EX2780Q. Although the Series X and My PC look beautiful on the EX2780Q

What do you mean by that?
In color modes I can't pick fps mode with the back switch
I only can take hdr, game hdri and cinema hdri.. Not fps, rpg, race game settings... It's a S version
I'm not sure then sorry, but you don't need to use fps mode anymore as PS5 video settings on console has 120hz just enable that and you will have 120hz.
