Great video Brendan. Two things 1) oil accidentally getting on the leadscrew is not a bad kind of problem to have :) 2) I did not see those skeleton clock frames in the workshop tour! Future video please! :D
I said oil but what I meant was the chips and dirt stick to the lead-screw... just talking in one take. The skeleton clocks are work in progress. Not working...... I am yet to make a successful one. Project on hold. Once loco is finished I will revisit the project with my new skills. :)
In short no. I no longer have this lathe as i upgraded to a Super 7 but the work I have been turning is only a inch or two long. so leveling was moistly pointless for the accuaracy I am aming to attain. I hope this helps. but you are right better accurancy could be attained with a better bench and setup.
Nice fix Brin.
I like the mag strips for my tool holders. Carry on my friend

@@madguernseyboy I thought you might have meant chips! Just having a bit of fun :)
Looking forward to seeing a successful clock some time soon.
Have you made any attempt to level the bed instead of just screwing it to the table, and now the tubes and tray?
