I feel like I've been spied upon. I fit everyone of these traits completely. I've always though I was strange and aloof but its' comforting to know other people are like this and are very successful.
My birthday was the 8th, no one acknowledged it because I don't acknowledge it. Birthday parties are for children. With very minor deviations, this video describes me to a tee.
Holy fu... Since I was a kid (i'm 33) I didn't care at all about birthday parties, holidays and societal approval. I always liked to play soccer and other sports, but I didn't care about sports news, city teams, etc. Since I was 15 I realized I don't have to chase women. They usually came and still come, when trully interested, and I could see how effortless it is to date them. Etc. Not gonna lie: this video gave me shivers.
I don't do birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day,Father's Day or St.Valentine's Day. What the f**k is football, cricket, golf, rugby or baseball about? It's entertainment, the twats that come in to work crowing the team they follow beat someone else's over the weekend with, "we kicked your arse" etc. What's with the "we"? Were you on the pitch, the sidelines or watching TV? Yes, don't do commercial pressure having to buy chocs, cards or pressies.
Out of all these videos, the sports part is the only thing that doesn't mesh with my way of being. I love American football. Although I did go about 9 years without watching it because I just had too many other things to get done. But, I go nuts for my hometown teams.
@@imeprezime732 it's not playing the sport, its the obsession and idolisation of players as well as the obscene amounts of money spent to entertain the public. Ancient civilisations such as the Romans and Greeks diverted attention away from corruption and despotism with the use of "bread and circuses", we get this every day through sport, infotainment,tv,films, media platforms. We the people that pay for our political class are lured away from what actually goes on by distraction to other subjects. One of Blair the former UK leader's team once famously said they used big news stories to release their own bad news, calling it a good day tobury bad news.
I don't watch sports on tv at all. I'd rather be doing something constructive myself. Mainstream sports has been tarnished with corporate greed, or political correctness. Can't be bothered with that.
Well-said! And unconditional love is worth exactly NOTHING. Someone who will tolerate anything will love anybody, so therefore does not value (or even see) you as YOU, but just another unit of life, no different from any other. Years ago, someone heard my aunt and uncle saying they loved me as I was leaving a residence. They remarked at how nice that is. I replied "It's not very meaningful when they say the same thing to their paperboy...". People who verbalize love the most, usually exhibit the least of it in the real sense of the word. (Like that bastard John Lennon- "Love, love, love" but he abused his own family and was a horrible person).
@@bobbylibertini Very interesting observation, I have seen this also people saying "love you" but not acting accordingly. My observation whilst at a slightly different tack is that the way people relate to themselves is a reflection of how they relate to others. Everything starts with the self and expands outwards, we can't directly change objective reality but if we change ourselves reality changes in relation to us. Our society tells us that the external is more important than the internal, but this is the total opposite of the truth.
@@JohnMcintosh-dm1gn Well-said! I would also argue that the frequent (mis)use of "I love you" cheapens and trivializes one of the most important phrases known to man. I have a relative I've met exactly one time in my life, who always signs their communications "Luv ya".... It's ridiculous.
73 tomorrow and the one person who knows, I told him I do not want him acknowledging it,lived life on my terms travelled to over 50 countries on my own, this autumn I am leaving the U.K. for good will hopefully travel till I have had enough and then call it a day.
10 out of 10. I guess I'm a Sigma, but I couldn't help think to myself while watching this video that more men should be like this, and we'd probably have a much better society.
I usually find "sigma males" laughable, but this one is different. Except for one of these, this video describes me more accurately than any I've seen. I really appreciate the work that went into making it. Blessings to you.
I'm most of that but less thought out, I do get sucked into political arguments usually against people who want more government and my timing could do with some work.
Ditto. I think the "not discussing politics" thing is aimed more at people who argue for a political party or candidate vs. others. I'll speak of politics anytime, but not in THAt way. To speak of how legislative actions affect us and our world; or the real intent behind legislation (which is never truly what it is presented to the public as); or the philosophies and ideologies behind political opinion, is VERY sigma.
@@bobbylibertini exactly, ideal not partys or individual's. Also don't debate people who argue in bad faith, as soon as I see that someone is disingenuous I try to say have a nice day, as tempting as it can be to have a go.
I'm politically loyal to conservative principles rather than specific candidates. As a Sigma, I don't trust their promises, I watch what they do. Personally, I do not back down in arguments with libers/communists. I may say we will have to agree to disagree but won't cave to their woke bullshit. Wokeism is a people pleasing and virtue signaling philosophy, which I utterly despise.
I've always thought that all those "sigma male" checklists were some mythified bs made up to console lonely guys by making them think they're special. But this particular list really hit close. I'm still not comfortable with the whole categorization and mythification thing going on in the internet, but it seems there are some patterns that many manifest and make them different from other people. This is not always positive, though. Some of these traits cause us to live a very lonely life, without friends or a lover and life partner. Aloneness is good with moderation. But we should never settle for enduring loneliness. Even if you think you're "a sigma", that doesn't mean you're perfect, or that you can stay the way you are. Seek to improve your life. Seek to improve yourself. Find some meaningful relationships, people who value you for who you are and the positive things you contribute to their lives.
Yeah, a lot of guys in the comments are declaring themselves sigma now but it does seem like a bit of cope. "Good news, I watched a video and it turns out i'm not an antisocial weirdo after all, i'm a sigma male!" I reminds of a few years back when everyone and their dog proudly started identifying as an introvert. As an actual, introvert it's nothing to celebrate imo, especially as a guy, it just more often makes socializing a miserable / difficult experience. Personally I score 100% in this video list, but i wouldn't say i was a sigma either. My understanding (perhaps i'm wrong) was that sigma's were basically alpha chad types who didn't care and did their own thing. Like Bruce Wayne, he may wear an alpha playboy mask as his cover, but his true self is sigma loner type. But the point is, he's succesful and physically desirable to women. Whereas myself, i can have all the atypical / antisocial traits of a sigma, but really i'm probably an omega or something. I'd basically be an incel if i tried to date. But i don't. I just do my own thing, alone...
True. Arguing about politics is futile. Hold your adversary under the water for 5 minutes and notice how the snoflake gradually comes to agree with everything you believe.
Only true sigmas can answer my question correct: what is really true wealth, a lot of money or being complete as a person and being able to live your life how you see fit
@@xantonify I totally agree with you bro, everyone wants and everyone deserves to a good living, I mean even God Himself wants us to live well, it is greedyness and selfishness that is actually the sin
The latter, of course. And to me, that includes living simply and maximizing my time and enjoyment of my surroundings by minimizing income-producing work. I'm 62 and have never had an actual job. Some of these videos paint us sigmas as "ambitious go-getters who acquire wealth" , but as you so rightly illuminate in your question, it's the true wealth that many of us seek; and that wealth can not be seen by onlookers unless they themselves appreciate it.
I’m about 80%. I follow sports but I don’t really ever want to go to games or watch with others. Hurting feelings-i mostly don’t care but I do care if I hurt a handful of people’s feelings.
Im 45 like fishing.. camping.. fitness ..investing.. eating healthy.. living in the country.. never been married and no kids but have a girlfriend so I’m ℹ sigma
Apart from a slightly dodgy number nine I seem to match everything. Basically I don't give a s**t except for love and loyalty. Who knew there was a sign above my particular door.
All of these points are correct, too accurate. I will add the following: Don't care for most movies or tv shows, mostly interest in books, how-to books, not the fluff and fantasy crap. Waste of time.
I fit most but I love talking politics because unlike others talking shallow headline politics I have a deeper understanding and love to challenge other opinions. My first long relationship (7-8 years) ended because my then GF was packing her bags when I came home. I never asked why and I never asked her to stay. There's just no point in all the drama.
I love how this guy continues to describe what I have known but didn't have a name for. Especially with number 10, hence why I am now single again. 10yr marriage and it was over because I was tired of such a selfish human being. Keep up the great work as these videos are highly educational.
I've always been a loner ... I find most of this list to be correct. Most people put time and energy into bullshit. I had a women tell me once that most people like or enjoy bla bla bla.... I told her ..... I'm not most people!
As a sigma male (all my life including childhood where i would not sit in a circle to hear the teacher give a story as a 5 yr old) I am all of these but would add I am loyal to those I think are genuine and hate to sing and participate in an emotionally communal way (like national anthems , clapping NHS ,wear poppies or rainbow things -its not being right or left wing its being against dangerous communal emotion for me). I am going to get into trouble at work in a few months as we are hiring a anti racist director post (yes I work for a "woke " organisation) - He or she will want compulsory anti racist courses and I will refuse - not on the basis of being racist but just dont appreciate others lecturing me on the latest fad in work or societal culture
I like nfl football but I’m alone when I watch it. Nor do I care about my birthday etc. Some may think it’s sad but it’s more liberating than people realize.
I am all of these plus the no dancing one also. Pure sigma. I do what I want when I want how I want where I want with whoever I want as long as it doesn’t negatively affect anyone else.
Great one. Yes--unconditional love; genuine; see the big picture and willing to do the hard thing for the benefit of all. Pretty much all points true. Political argument--do have beliefs and share them, but I don't play the games.
#9 I think about the times I started off a little wobbly but got it done, as opposed to waiting for just the right time, and I realize how much more I accomplished by just mucking in.
Yeah, I got the same impression that 99% of being a sigma male, also means having to be a weirdy beardy dude! The remaining 1% is probably an autistic individual with a borderline personality disorder and a razor!
I agree with everything except the birthday thing but thats mainly becuase I was born with a rare (at the time) medical condition where I was told I may not see my 20's.. thanks to modern medicine i have to take life long, I just turned 50 and still going.. so only for that reason I do choose to celebrate reaching another yr (but not so much my actual age itself) with those few who I do call friends.. in the old days SIGMA male was just called 'COOL' lol
Everything mentioned here is 100%. When i told my wife a while ago i might be SIGMA, she binged watched a ton of vids and read loads of articles and was like: ahhhhh now i understand. I summoned up my personality to her by saying: can't be hassled with pointless wank around me. Better things to do.
wow, so this is why I’m like this…..I thought I was broken like I was supposed to be an a-hole alpha but life kicked me in the face giving me feelings . And I can’t stand birthdays they’re so fake I’m like you should appreciate someone year round this much, I do, just everyone thinks I’m the weirdo.
Not worrying about hurting feelings sounds more like a psychopath trait. Also some contrarians probably think they are sigma. Basically don’t judge your level of success or path to take based on what society, family or friends expect. Be your own person.
I agree with all in the video and when i was young i hated dancing as i got older i could not care less what people think of my dancing and have grown to love dancing
The only reason why I watch these videos is to laugh about myself. It's like having some witch, who I'm convinced is a scammer, describing me perfectly and surprising me big time. Very happy to be a Sigma. Sometimes it is very difficult, people you love very often don't understand you, but you got to be strong and say sometimes f@#k it, life is too short and complicated to waste so much time , energy and all kind of resources to please them. That is not healthy.
I have all those traits except number 9. I only found out there was a name / classification for my beliefs and attitude a few years ago. Try telling a woman about this when she has a fallout with you over the issues in this video and she just thinks you are a jerk. Latest iPhone and Social media is a total No No, as is going on a cruise !!, Package holiday destinations and anywhere that is listed as a World Heritage Site are to be avoided. Along with Theme Parks and Zoos. I always said from my early teens that Pop stars would all go broke and never own a Rolls Royce waiting for me to rush out and buy their records.
Unconditional love is the trickiest topic. As a sigma male, I indeed have standards & expectations, and I will NOT tolerate gals who test these boundaries. But, on the other hand, I 100 percent expect unconditional love from my women. Also, the word "love," itself is too loose of a term/concept for most women. They will tell you that they love sunsets, puppies/kittens, margaritas, flowers, etc. But, they are hesitant to say they love a man? And, when they DO, it's too often as "cheap" as their love of margaritas (their love light flickers at will.) I feel there should be different words in our vocabulary to define depths of love? Love your car, versus love your ain't, versus love your twin, versus love your parents/grandparents, versus love your spouse, versus love your children? Personally, I periodically whisper in my wife's (40+ years) ear, "I lust you!" e.g. I desire her more than puppies, our parents, even our own child. I have a special/unique love for ONLY her = list. I don't lust any OTHER women, only her. I just feel it carries more weight/value, than the word, "love."
Never understood the timing thing, the best timing to do something is now or when possible next. Nice choices, but of course there are more, and they are not all the same for all of us, as example, I don't care about sports and don't follow it, I make an exception for a certain Football (Soccer) Club, Formula 1 and Wrestling(WWE), the reason for that is to have something to talk about with my brother and late father as they are not like me, and we don't share any interests.
I'm all 10; especially number 9 because I don't have what the Alphas and Betas want to hear, which are only factual; otherwise, I don't have much to say. This usually ticks them off but it is what it is.

My birthday was the 8th, no one acknowledged it because I don't acknowledge it. Birthday parties are for children. With very minor deviations, this video describes me to a tee.
Just give me gifts 🎁. If I don't get that then I don't care about it.
@@younglove3362 I buy everything I want or need for myself. No gifts necessary.
Happy late bday
Okay, that's pretty funny!
Yes but if it was your 8th birthday...Surely you are not too old to blow out the candles on your cake?
Foreign women are like that. I've had a strange women grab me and say " would you make me a baby ".
If sigma is the one not liking to play sports, then I prefer not to be sigma... Although all other items match...
I watch sports but it doesn’t define who I am.
@@imeprezime732 it's not playing the sport, its the obsession and idolisation of players as well as the obscene amounts of money spent to entertain the public. Ancient civilisations such as the Romans and Greeks diverted attention away from corruption and despotism with the use of "bread and circuses",
we get this every day through sport, infotainment,tv,films, media platforms.
Unconditional love is code for putting up with shit you shouldn’t put up with. Genuine love is conditional.
I love my cat unconditionally, my wife on the other hand......
@@JohnMcintosh-dm1gn 🤣🤣🤣
I'd also add Branded items have NO place in my life, unlike my wife & daughters, where Brands come first.
No brand loyalty for me. Function over form.
I've learnt so much about Sigmas today, the bell is ringing for me to come in from the rain, school is in session.
Best thing about us , we are loyal, if you abuse of our patience we turn our back and no come back.
No one wants to struggle, but the focus on purely money makes you lose character and the purpose to enjoy life.
@@xantonify I totally agree with you bro, everyone wants and everyone deserves to a good living, I mean even God Himself wants us to live well, it is greedyness and selfishness that is actually the sin
The second one but money gives you the freedom to live a life on your own terms
The latter, of course. And to me, that includes living simply and maximizing my time and enjoyment of my surroundings by minimizing income-producing work. I'm 62 and have never had an actual job. Some of these videos paint us sigmas as "ambitious go-getters who acquire wealth" , but as you so rightly illuminate in your question, it's the true wealth that many of us seek; and that wealth can not be seen by onlookers unless they themselves appreciate it.
You're not rich until you have something money can't buy
YES I agree this describes me and my personality 110%
I’m about 80%. I follow sports but I don’t really ever want to go to games or watch with others. Hurting feelings-i mostly don’t care but I do care if I hurt a handful of people’s feelings.
Im 45 like fishing.. camping.. fitness ..investing.. eating healthy.. living in the country.. never been married and no kids but have a girlfriend so I’m ℹ sigma
... Nailed me on nearly every point
Christmas, every day is Christmas once you're an adult.
Apart from a slightly dodgy number nine I seem to match everything. Basically I don't give a s**t except for love and loyalty. Who knew there was a sign above my particular door.
Excellent presentation! Right on target!
👑
I showed this video to my wife. Her reaction was that this is you
All of these points are correct, too accurate.
I will add the following:
Don't care for most movies or tv shows, mostly interest in books, how-to books, not the fluff and fantasy crap.
Definitely the following sports thing I don’t do...I would rather be building boats or sailing.
100% correct on all 10 items
I love how this guy continues to describe what I have known but didn't have a name for. Especially with number 10, hence why I am now single again. 10yr marriage and it was over because I was tired of such a selfish human being. Keep up the great work as these videos are highly educational.
Sigmas do not watch sigma clips on the Internet. But we are glad that you do.
Wow this video was definitely a confirmation for me!!
If you die without having enemies, you have not lived right.
_Contentment_ is underrated and it's integral to my modus operandi. 😎
Great points for all Greek letters. And some funny video vignettes! Who are those people?
So true about birthdays. I'd rather celebrate my successes and achieving personal goals
I don't celebrate anything. Living the life I want to and enjoying it is reward enough.
I always like the question do you agree with these points. I’m always thinking Heck Yeah! You hit the nail on the head the real ones get these videos
Ha, I’m on board with all, except 7!
Sigmas don't give a toss about labels.
I've always been a loner ... I find most of this list to be correct. Most people put time and energy into bullshit. I had a women tell me once that most people like or enjoy bla bla bla.... I told her ..... I'm not most people!
I get called selfish for not giving a fk & I don’t own a suit 😂
People who wait for the perfect day and time to start a new project have always frustrated me...start now!
64 next month and I thought it was just me! Great video well explained.
So basically when you get old and no longer give a shit, you become sigma.
I'm 62 and give more of a shit now than ever! (Just not about what most give a shit about).
All 10 points are bang on!
I like nfl football but I’m alone when I watch it. Nor do I care about my birthday etc. Some may think it’s sad but it’s more liberating than people realize.
A hatred of smartphones, someone else's achievements, someone else's bank balance, someone else's opinion... Birthdays.
I am all of these plus the no dancing one also.
Pure sigma. I do what I want when I want how I want where I want with whoever I want as long as it doesn’t negatively affect anyone else.
It’s the art of not giving a shit about unimportant crap, it’s like tai chi for the mind
I should have everyone I know watch this video. It would be so much faster and at last less awkward.
I'm a sigma... HR thinks I come off as an ogre or an asshole. I said, "Thanks".
I don't feel like sigma, but beside the political discussion - it looks like a description of me
I’m glad I’m on the path of becoming one tbh ✊🏾💯
What is with all the foolishly bearded Sigma models? Are they trying to look like Yukon Cornelius?
Stock footage nothing more. Don't lose it over stock footage.
Yeah, I got the same impression that 99% of being a sigma male, also means having to be a weirdy beardy dude!
The remaining 1% is probably an autistic individual with a borderline personality disorder and a razor!
Great one!
I can relate to this, Sigma must be best
Just skipped ahead but this is pretty accurate. deserves the thumb up
Not worrying about hurting feelings sounds more like a psychopath trait. Also some contrarians probably think they are sigma. Basically don’t judge your level of success or path to take based on what society, family or friends expect. Be your own person.
I have quite a few of these traits, but i think its more to do with being GenX
According to this, I’m about 80% sigma.
Darn😊. I was hoping you were going to say I have a special super flying power
Sounds like sovereign beings, no matter the gender. So beautiful! Thank you! The only one who can fix you is you.
I thought I just had Asperger’s.
Had no idea this label existed until seeing these videos, and how they describe me to a tee.
You're exactly right ✅️
Interesting and enlightining video.
At 50 years of ago I'm starting to take an interest in sports - It's more about the energy of the moment and watching how people react to everything.
I agree with all in the video and when i was young i hated dancing as i got older i could not care less what people think of my dancing and have grown to love dancing
I'm in two bowling leagues. They celebrate everyone else's birthday but mine. Didn't tell them when I was born and don't want them to..
Can we get more stock footage next time.
All these 10 things (and even more) are matching me. I am 100% Sigma! 💯
Same here. I don’t relate to number 9 and I don’t understand why people put people that sing on a pedestal. They are just another person to me.
@@Nitroscion Maybe if we did have 9 as a trait we would be millionaire Sigmas ?
Sigma males always take the high road and choose their battles wisely.
The one in love always loses. Be prepared to turn your back, walk away and cut all ties in an instant when your personal threshold is crossed.
Wow I had no idea I was sigma, I dismissed the term for years as a childish entry into the beta vs alpha argument
8 out of 10 of those traits apply to me......
Last week at a party, someone referred to me as a sigma male, and after watching this, I think I understand why....
