    Thanks for your great videos. My Mom passed away earlier this year, and I pulled out her amazing sewing machine this weekend to try it out on a few projects. I haven't sewn for over 10 years, and my machine was a VERY basic one that I got at Walmart, so I was a bit overwhelmed when I turned on the Designer SE. Your videos have been a great extra-check on any activity that I do. I look forward to learning this machine with you, and with my Mom looking down on me and smiling. :)

    Thank you for showing me two ways to wind the bobbin! My MIL has been unable to sew due to the fact that she cannot fill her bobbins. I am heading over there now to show her this video! Thanks again!

    Great idea Raquel, especialy for those who don't have the time to sit for several hours on a class. It is very convenient, you can learn in the comfort of your home, at your own pace, any time you want. I hope you make more videos and also will like to see some on the serger 936. Thanks

    Thank you so much for the easy to understand instructions for threading and winding the bobbin. I inherited my Designer SE from my mother when she passed away in April. I've been trying to figure things out using the massive amount of booklets that came with the machine. Your video is a life saver! I haven't looked, but sure hope you have more helpful videos.

    Thank you for this video. I finally found one that shows up close so I can see what the person threading the machine is actually doing. I hope to see more videos.

    Raquel, thank you so much for making this video! I am a new owner of a Viking Sapphire 850, but the previous owner had lost her manual. I can't seem to find a manual online to purchase. Anyway, even though our machines are not identical, many of the same features apply, so I was relieved to find out how to thread the machine and wind the bobbin! xoxoxo Grayson in Austin, Texas

    The Singer XL400 is less expensive but doesn't have all the software like auto punch to do your own design, but has a very good stitches and the embroidery looks very good.

    @raquelsewing Thank you for showing me how to thread. I just got a Designer 1 and it looks to be about the same. I do not have video instruction. So Thank you very Much!

    Sorry I responded to your question but I did not send it. You can use heavy thread in the top and polyester in the bobbin because is more strong. Use topstitch or denim needle for heavy fabric For gathering heavy fabric use a heavy thread or cord and sew it with small zigzag and then pull it. Let me know if I was helping you with my advise. Thanks Raquel

    @muscavaya 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    Me again about the heavy duty thread... I needed to use heavy duty thread for easing a larger piece of upholstery naugahyde onto a smaller piece... and when trying to gather by hand the lighter thread kept on breaking... I was using a leather needle and regular thread...

    Raquel, Thank you for the wonderful video. I was looking for a video showing how to use the V4 stitch for zipper sewing. The handbook isn't very clear on how to sew the zipper (p. 2-5) or I don't really understand what they are saying and I am very confused. Could you make a video on it? BTW, I just learned something new today about my "baby"...how to wind a bobbin while sewing, I did not know that. Thanks

    Thank you for your comment. I like to help those viking owners because I know how hard is to operate a machine without any instruction or guide.

    Raquel can I use heavy duty upholstery thread in my Husqvarna Designer SE... my seller (a sales person for the store) told me that I should use heavy duty thread in the needle but regular in the bobbin... that does not sound right to me and I was having trouble winding the bobbin with heavy duty thread which is why I called them in the first place Thanks for your viseo... was a big help!

    My bobbin will not thread. I put it in the case and tried everything to get the machine to pick up the thread with the threaded needle but no joy.
    What am I doing wrong?

    I am looking for a troubleshooting forum or site for this machine. My mother is having issues with the stitch program always reverting back to a straight stitch. It is hard to lug that thing back into the store for every little issue.
    It would also be nice to know if there is a factory re-set for the thing.

    I loved your How to Thread a Designer SE. I've had my machine about 5 years, and some ways you do thijngs were not how I was taught. I am having problems embroidering Flannel Blankets for Baby's First Christmas. I need 8 done by December 10th. After I load the hoop, I press FIX. iT WILL GO DOWN ONE SIDE , then across the bottom. When it starts up, the needle breaks every time. Do you have a suggestion for me?

    Leather needles are only for leather and artificial leather, this needle is not suitable for textiles.. Topstitch, Denim and Sharp needles are stronger and the points are sharp. Topsitch needle has large eye. If you need any more help let me know. If I don't know the answer I will find it out for you.
    Thanks

    I like for start the H600 Husqvarna Viking, has a hundred decorative stiches and software that you can do your own design from clip art and you can embroidery design from other companies if the size is correct. The only inconvenience is that you need to keep the machine conected to the computer to do embroidery. If you need any more help let me know.

    This video is listed as though someone named Donna R made the video...yet when you click on it to watch it, Raquel Ortega is the actual "creator" of the video ? Why is this ?

  • @redcaboose3054
    @redcaboose3054 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why is there videos under someone else's name for instruction on the Viking / Husqvarna Designer SE machine, ( Laura Hutynan ) yet when you click on these videos they are made by a Raquel Ortega, who by the way I find hard to understand. I would love to find videos out there for the Designer SE done by someone that speaks the English language.
