- If you have forgotten your Windows password on the Windows 10 or 11 login screen, this tutorial video can help you reset it.
Method 2
utilman size is 156kb and cmd size is 324kb
utilman to utilman1
cmd to utilman
Click on Accessibility Options
Command prompt : type netplwiz
Method 3
sethc size is 140kb and cmd size is 324kb

Press down Shift keys 5 times in Windows Safe Mode Login Screen
Command prompt : type netplwiz
Method 4 (optional)
Reset this PC in the Windows Recovery Options (It will take quite some time)
Step 1. Hold down the Shift key and click on Restart option
Step 2. Choose an option
Step 3. Troubleshoot
Step 4. Reset this PC
Keep my files (the best option for you)
Remove everything
Step 5. Once completed, you should update Windows immediately

1. Simultaneously hold down the Shift key and the press down POWER button on your laptop.

Hint:
You can't use the Command Prompt option because it asks for a password. To fix this issue, you need a bootable Windows 10 or 11 USB drive. To access the Command Prompt, press and hold Shift and F10 on your keyboard until you see the Windows Setup Screen.
control userpasswords2 vs netplwiz
Both commands work the same way to access the User Accounts in Window. However, the control userpasswords2 is an older command.
net user pc name password (it is used to change the password of an existing user account named pc name).
net user pc name password /add (it is used to create a new user account named pc name).
net localgroup Administrators PC name /add (it is used to add a user account named pc name to the local Administrators group).

Option 1: Once you successfully log in to your PC, backup everything. Then run a system restore point and choose a restore point created earlier.
Option 2: You can copy the cmd.exe file from another system. Paste the copied file into the same location on your system.
Option 3:
1. Boot from the installation media.
2. Choose the "Repair Your Computer" option.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to repair system files
Option 4: Run SFC
1. Open Command Prompt as administrator.
2. Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
3. Wait for the scan to complete. If it finds corrupted files, it will attempt to repair them.
Option 5: Run DISM
1. Open Command Prompt as administrator.
2. Type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and press Enter.
3. Wait for the process to finish.

Brother, you look around , it should be there,
On left column, navigate down you will see the osk file. It can not escape anywhere. Unless you delete it.

Boot your computer from that...
Choose the "Repair your computer" option.
Select "Command Prompt" from the advanced options.
Once in the Command Prompt, run the sfc /scannow command.

Bought a used computer through auction house (Amazon return) and it is locked on a sign in screen ( Unfortunately in Spanish) and I have tried the shift key trick and the windows key + I key , and neither will get me where I want to go . So this is my problem, after logging into automatic repair i still see the main administrator's password, it still request for that password. It is a class and each of us have accounts: the issue is one person has made herself an admin whiles ours are standards so if we want to make ourselves admin "access denied", to cahnge an IP Address" access denied". Didn't work for me... I had a PIN code before, but now after factory reset is not letting me going into my windows, not even in safe mode. It says "Your PIN is no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device."

Step 1: get into command prompt window
Step 2: type notepad
- click on file
- scroll down to select “open" option
Step 3: Look for a bootable Windows Drive, it may be C or D Drive
for an example if it was C drive
then you go to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft
then you delete Ngc folder.
Step 4. Go back to command prompt, you type this
icacls C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Ngc /T /Q /C /Reset

Safe mode login screen allows you to reset your password easily. Normal windows login screen is unstable to reset your passwords due to windows defender.
You can reset your passwords as many times as you want in the safe login screen.

Once you completed, rename them back where they were.

Sure, you can do it if you have a Local User Account.
Everything works great until I get to the end and select the account, it says You cannot change the password for *account*

You can reset Pin, it is not a problem.
Firstly, you have to reset your Local Admin account. Then you login windows, then you can create a new pin. But if you have been registered login with Microsoft account sign in.
Then it is very difficult to reset password. You can’t have both. Pick one
