@@xxmtokxx8110it’s mainly time management. If you goof around in and out of classes of course your grades are going to reflect that. Simply doing your work on time in school isn’t that hard. Then for extracurriculars you will have plenty of opportunities either after school if you have time, on the weekends, or during breaks.
Got into Yale, but have been feeling really indecisive lately and wondering if I should still consider other great (but selective) schools (like NYU, USC, Columbia, Barnard…). Videos like these really highlight all the things I love about Yale, and what drew me to the school in the first place. Maybe I could end up happy/in a better position for my preferred career (something in the film industry) elsewhere, but I don’t think I’d ever REGRET choosing Yale. Please continue with these videos!! I have 5 months to commit but these really help. 💙
Current Yalie here reaching out because I was in your shoes not too long ago - what those students said about the culture here has been my experience as well - both highly excellent & highly supportive -I wouldn't trade it. Also, looks like you're interested in living in NYC or LA - both locations you'll have ample opportunities to live/work in later in life. Idk anything about film here, but, Yale is one of the top humanities schools on earth - going deep into Philosophy/History/English/Law would give you ample plot ideas & develop your storytelling/creative skills - all qualities I imagine the film industry would want to see.
Yale was my number one until I found out they admitted to forcing suicidal students to withdraw so that their suicide rate didn't look higher than it already is.
Why is the presenter talking so strange? He is talking too fast, but it seems his lips cannot keep up. The entire video is one big hurry, the music, the rapid scene change.. It gets you worked up. I don`t believe in higher education anymore. People who study on Yale and Harvard are not smarter, they are only more willing to take in information without being critical. Most people I`ve met with high education lack the ability to think out of the box. Nowadays, you can access so much information with which you can educate yourself.

If you want a moral reason to not go, they admitted to forcing suicidal students to withdraw in order to make their suicide rate look lower.

if you're DEAD SET on film then go to USC, but if you want enough flexibility go to yale
