Dear Dr. Ruscio, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your incredible help in managing my gut issues. Your willingness to share valuable information is truly appreciated.
Hi Dr. Ruscio, thank you for your content! I'm from Brasil and since i've finished my treatment on H. Pylori on march i've been following the treatment for leaky gut and IBS, feeling normal, been able to eat without pain, after two months. Your videos has been very important for me, along with other doctor's content from Brasil that shows the benefits from taking probiotics (i've been taking saccharomyces boullardi 10 billion and lactobacillus and bifido- 6 billion per day), glutamine, fiber and low FODMAPS. This has been helping me. I did took enzymes too, but i've stopped now, its been weeks, and im doing fine. Im very grateful for your work. Thank you.
I’m so glad you’re doing better! Grateful to be part of your healing journey.
Did you have chronic gastritis?
@@CodyDee yes i did, now my stomach is fine, i just avoid certain kinds of food, alchool, i dont take antiacids or blockers anymore and i dont feel pain. A questão é que os antiacidos podem causar hipocloridria, que causa má digestão, e a má digestão gera outros sintomas intestinais.

Thanks man
🙏🏼
We need more doctors like you, truly! No other doctor lays it out this well and in such a hollistic way, those other stupid doctors think prescribing a pill will make everything go away.
Thank you so much! That means a lot to me to hear.
@@DrRuscioDC Something really strange is that now that I've had leakygut, I crave alcohol when I haven't in YEARS. Just 1/4 can of selzervodca or Sangria while I play my video game. UGG
I think Masterbation is not the part of This leaky gut and Stress is the reason and the main reason of this gut problem is junk food😢
Diet: Fish.
Fish from farms are not any good, they are fed with GM corn/soy etc and the process includes plastic liners and many plastic stuff (BPA for ex), so there is a contamination as well with micro and nano plastics.
Fish from the sea: contaminated with heavy metals, besides the overfishing of the oceans.
There are very few places where local people can get good and clean fish but for the majority of us that is not an option, please take this onto consideration Dr. Ruscio.
On probiotics, just an anecdotal info: kefir from goat's milk has a better positive effect in my gut than the one made with cow's milk. Here (MX) goat milk at farmers' market is not expensive by the liter $1.6 vs $1.3 for cow's milk (US dollar).
On sleep: Taking sunshine early in the morning, Vit D3,, Vit K2, Magnesium Bisglycinate has done wonders to me (Zinc from food mostly).
Thank you for the video.
Thank you for sharing these insights - you’re right, it’s very hard to heal when the food supply itself isn’t totally healthy to consume. It’s very hard for us to control. But we do the best we can with what we have.
Thank you also for sharing your alternatives and what worked for you. I’m very happy to hear you’re doing better.
@@DrRuscioDC Thank you Dr. Ruscio.
I m using probiotics and Naturally too😢
do you find that patients with dairy sensitivity can tolerate the Colostrum? I'm reading warnings on bottle labels about dairy issues...
I'm finally seeing amazing results in my daughter's acne issues. I reinstated the emergency doses of probiotics (50b), and her skin is clearing up, even during and before her periods. I equate the acne issues with her gut health no matter what other good signs I see or hear from her regarding her gut health. For me, her skin really reflects what her gut health really is.
As without, so within. Just as her skin is the barrier to the external environment, so is her gut lining the barrier to her internal organs and the food being digested with every good and bad thing surrounding and in the food. I'm beginning to see a correlation between these two organs, skin and gut lining. The blemishes might represent scaring that is not quite healed internally, too. Whatcha think Doc?😊
There’s absolutely a connection between gut health and skin health! You’re right and it’s amazing to observe it happening in a real life example. Many inflammatory skin conditions stem from GI conditions, especially dysbiosis. It sounds like you’re on the right track and I hope your daughter feels better soon. I’m so glad she has you for support!
One of your best so far. Just perfect. Thank you so much for your excellent, clear and evidence based information 🙏
Thank you so much. I’m so happy to hear it!
Excellent info!! Thanks also for explaining what a serving is. ❤
I seriously love this man! Thank you for all the work you are doing. Love from India
We also have many fermented foods across the country and because of videos like this I started to incorporate to my regular diet
Thank you so much! ❤
Sounds like an excellent plan! I'm on it 😄
I kept thinking you were saying "random ass control trials" 😂😅
In your book you talk about too much bacteria in your gut, so adding fermented foods at the onset could cause more harm than good. With this am glean that once you heal your intestinal lining, you can go back to fermented foods>
Might you help me understand this?
Alcohol is one of the worst possible things for leaky gut.
It's right 👍 liquor is the curse of leaky gut
Thnx, awesome recommendations!
Two Qs:
- Does Glutamine have to be taken on empty stomach, or is it OK to take in a food/smoothie? How about Coffee?
- COLOSTRUM - same deal, can it be taken with food, or empty stomach?
Thnx Dr Ruscio :)
Great list....I also take a tablespoon of frozen aloe vera chunks (available at Whole Foods) daily
Great idea! Fresh aloe vera is great, but sometimes dealing with the cleaning process can be a little tricky.
It has been scientifically proved that Aloe vera has anti cancer properties, however taking too much of it has been correlated with some health problems. Then, how much is too much? that is a difficult question, besides the personal genetic make up and other factors. "Too much of a good thing, sometimes it is not a good thing".
It is recommended to cut the Aloe vera that is going to be used, place it in water and remove the brownish liquid which can be harmful to people's kidneys, then scrap the gel and applied or eat it. I use Aloe vera for skin care and it does wonders and I might include some in my diet, although I am not a smoothie person (some say to blend it others do not) and to put Aloe vera in a taco does not seem like a good idea :)
Take care!
Brilliant, thank you.
Thank you!
One of the best vids
Thank you so much! Glad you think so!
Supplements that helped my gut healing:
Zinc -Carnosine.
Glutamate with Chios mastic resin.
Slippery elm with marshmallow root.
Hydrolysed collagen type ll.
Sprouted chia and lentils.
No gluten and processed sugars.
Mostly soups and broths instead of fried food.
Korean kimchi rocks as well if your body can tolerate it
@@notaras1985 how long did it take for your gut to heal and what were your gut issues?
@@nellyxbear 4 months in, one month out till 1.5 year passed. Also my diet was mostly soups and broths and rarely something baked (but no fried). Stress reduction like breathing and mindfulness exercises also help a lot. Especially pre digestion to get in rest and digest mode.
@@nellyxbear i stopped the slippery elm after the first 4 months as per instruction of my naturopath and substituted it with a probiotic kefir from goats milk
@@notaras1985 thank you for your response. how long until you started noticing improvement when you started your protocol?
Taking probiotic medicines make me more bloated, I have chronic constipation and bloating, anxiety, palpitations and tremors for about ten years and nothing has worked for me yet, what’s the solution?
I’ve had bloating and chronic constipation also. Found out that constipation is caused by a magnesium deficiency and or dehydration (caused by some medications). I drank water, took magnesium and I also ate yogurt (they have non dairy also) and the constipation is gone. If that don’t work, prune juice, castor oil or coconut oil should work.
Try getting probiotics from your food sources rather than from medicines.
Enjoyed this I eat kimchi each morning. And variety of the rainbow each day .
Hello Dr. Ruscio. Thank you for your amazing work. I am starting your protocol now. Should I take all the 3 probiotics at the same time?
Hi there! Thank you for your kind words. We recommend triple therapy for maximizing the benefits of probiotics, so it’s definitely safe and effective to take all three at once. We even offer a triple therapy stick pack for convenience: store.drruscio.com/products/triple-therapy-probiotic. However, if you tend to be sensitive to supplements or lifestyle/dietary changes, it’s also okay to introduce them one at a time and monitor how you react. Don’t be afraid of having some side effects at the start of therapy if they happen - it’s very common as your body adjusts.
Thank you!!
Nice video! If you have histamine-related issues, should you still take probiotics?
Thank you! And people with histamine intolerance or other issues can benefit from probiotics, especially if the root cause of their symptoms is dysbiosis. More on that here: drruscio.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-histamine-intolerance/.
Can casein and/or lactose sensitity be a problem with keifer consumption
Thanks for the information.
You bet! :)
What is the mechanism for the glutamine to work?
in your probiotics chart of blend types... are these the only blend types? which type would you categorize L. Reuteri ?
Doc what about phosphatidyl choline, does supplementing it help?
Thanks for the very well made content
colostrum without lactose can be an option too?
What about butyrate, phosphatidylcholine and curcumin? Don't these suptanses have value in healing leaky gut?
Thank you
does L. Reuteri fit into one of these 3 groups? if so, which group? do you have a video talking about this variety already? or do you have thoughts on its help for SIBO & Histamine Intolerance? TY! love your videos!
Spot on!
If you have issues with dairy, (even a tsp of ghee affects me!) Is there still a way to take advantage of the bovine colostrum?
Hi Dr, very good information. Really appreciate it for sharing.
I healed from sibo however now I am diagnosed with mild Gastroparesis. It flares up when the constipation hits. I take prokinetic emycin however it is still not that great with my gut. I am diabetic now. A1c at 6.5. And bec of GP it’s hard to bring the sugar down. Any idea what will help GP? I eat low fodmap w less fat. And freq meals. I can’t do fasting bec gas kicks in. Very uncomfortable. Trying everything possible out there. Do betain HCL help GP? Thanks in advance.
Thank you Dr
Awesome 👏
curious if a food counts as a "rainbow" food if only the skin is a bright colour... but the inside is white? or do you mean the plant should be colored both skin AND flesh? thanks for clarifying!
Can fermenting foods cause one to salivate ?
Can moderate red wine consumption improve gut health since its high in polyphenols?
Any known side effects from beginning gutamine supplements to note?
Hi Dr. , a question about my daughter if u mind . She has been on and off with gut issues for the past 3 y. She had pylori, candida, very high Zonulin, and high strep and staph ..poor girl.
So we got rid of candida and pylori but not yet zonulin though it’s a bit lower. She had recently fainted and idk what is reason ( cardio is clean , CT of head is normal) but I suspect that high Zonulin can cause hyperthyroidism and cause low blood pressure and high histamine. So what do u think Dr. , could that be the reason behind her fainting?
Thank you ❤
hi dr. ruscio, i've been dealing with dysbiosis and leaky gut for three years now and the doctor just prescribed me ciprofloxacin and metronidazole. would you deem these antibiotics safe and right to take for my gut issues? thank you for another great video!
No they will just mess your biome
Hi there! I’m so sorry you’ve been suffering for so long! It’s hard to give specific advice without having a more complete clinical profile, but I’m glad you’re trying antibiotic therapy under medical supervision. Metronidazole is sometimes prescribed for dysbiosis and other GI conditions and is effective. It does somewhat depend on the bacteria you’re trying to eradicate and what the underlying condition is. Most importantly, do you trust this doctor, feel like they listen, etc? Without being more involved in your care, it’s hard for me to advise - but it makes sense to try out the protocol and adjust with your provider as needed. I really hope it goes well for you and you find some relief.
Never take Cipro !
@@pamelawoodall5891 do you have experience with it? have you taken it?
Don’t do it
Is it ok to do vigorous exercises at different sessions ? ( Morning 45 min and Evening 45 min )
C'mon Tim; People suddenly go blind in large groups for no reason all the time.
Does immunoglobulin gg help overall gut healing?
Hi there! IGG can help healing in some cases, especially when autoimmunity is involved, but it’s far from a first-line treatment. More on that here: drruscio.com/new-ibs-sibo-treatment-tough-cases/.
And what to do if a cellphone tower is the cause of it.😢 Do i have to shift home in order to cure the leaky gut
Dr. Ruscio. What if you cant have dairy because you're allergic to it?
🙋🏻♂️. I get joint pain from kefir . Even 1/2 a cup daily. 🙏
Hello. I tried prebiotic fibers. I think they r better than any probiotics I be tried. I just forget to use the fibers daily. I will restart today. 🙏
