In the comics it shows Six with a music box and a girl takes it from her and flings it. Then says they’ll learn why she did that in time. Music box possess the kids, that’s why Mono breaks it.

She did that because that box had a reflection and she had a nightmarish encounter with some kind of mirror monster.
We always kept saying how this is Six's monster version, but I realized that this is her most vulnerable form and the ugly side of her due to trauma (metaphorically), with her trapped in a room full of toys and her music box where she is safe and sound, and we just destroyed it.
We had to do it 'cause we want to be good for her, no matter how harsh it is. That is fake happiness (or happiness made in china xDD).

Okay, now that I watched this so many times, I noticed something...
- Six reached for Mono when she's taken by the Thin Man, but when she's in need of his help the most, he didn't do anything to help
- The scene where Mono tried pulling Six out of the TV(I'll bet Six is throwing hands, yall seen her at the school house? This girl's a savage) resisting the Thin Man. She doesn't have his powers to manipulate the tower to her will hence she became distorted and monstrous but the Thin Man gave her a room full of toys and her favorite music box to comfort him
- If the Thin Man had any ill-intent for Six he would've killed her but he didn't
- Monster Six holds the music box clearly implying she'll protect it whatever it takes but when Mono called to her, she became familiar that he's a friend she made, tilts her head and crawled up to him while presenting the music box, trusting him enough, like kids would share their favorite toys with the people they trust
- The reason why the Thin Man is easily defeated by Mono is because he's holding back, he couldn't find himself killing his younger counterpart. He's merely trying to stop him getting anywhere near the tower and experience the betrayal.

i watched this theory and it made sense why the thin man did not kill six because mono turned into the thin man so it makes sense a little right?

Wonder how did Six end up at the Hunter's house?
Also Mono is the one who opened the door and let Thin Man out, even when Six kept pulling him out of the TV.
Things I noticed till now:
- We know that in LN1 Six is trying to escape the Maw, but we don't know what Mono is trying to do in LN2. It actually looks like Mono is always just trying to stay alive and help Six, he seems to be living pretty well by himself.
- The beginning of LN2 shows us the door with an eye that Mono opens in the end, and the beginning of LN1 shows us The Lady that Six kills and steals powers in the end. Both of them actually have nightmares with their "future selves" without noticing.
- While Mono can collect hats, Six can collect masks, and who else uses a hat or mask?? Thin Man and The Lady. Mono doesn't really care about showing his face, we can even use a hat that shows his entire face, but Six always walks looking down and always wear masks that cover most part of her face, almost like she wants to hide something.
- Six's personality is very complicated and twisted. We can see she caring for Mono and the Nomes sometimes (in LN1), but she's very selfish, opportunist, and spiteful. She doesn't accept Mono's help until she notices she needs him to escape the Hunter's house and so on. She starts going ahead without waiting for him by the middle of LN2 (even though he's the protagonist, which is weird). She's willing to let Mono behind at any sound of danger. She's willing to sacrifice anything or ANYONE to achieve her goals, or to feel fullfilled. And as we can see a couple of times, if she has a chance to kill or hurt something that hurt her, she'll do it (she kills the Hunter, the Doctor, The Lady, cuts off the Janitor's arms, kicks a dead body, etc. 🤡)
- Mono is different from Six, he seems a lot more approachable than her. He's caring, respectful, and somewhat innocent. The only problem is that he's willing to do anything for whom he cares. I know he kills some of the antagonists, but I don't think he did it entirely for himself.
- Mono apparently uses a TV to go to the forest but we don't actually know if this is true, since he can only use them by the end of the game. And in the comics we can see that he saw Six hiding from The Hunter, so I supose that's how he knew she was there.
- Mono seems to be able to absorb the glitching remains, but when Six leaves her glitching behind he doesn't absorb it. Either there's a limited time to save someone from the TV world or Six really isn't ordinary kid (more like a prophecy kid).
- I thing Mono being terrified of Thin Man not even being able to help Six proves he's probably his worst nightmare.
- It doesn't make sense that Six felt betrayed by Mono, since she sees him trying to save her at all costs. Something in the TV world affected her, or maybe revealed her dark side.
- The music box Six tries to protect in the end is the same from the beginning and has an eye on it, then the music box must also be a bad thing just like the TVs. If the time in the TV world runs different, then the Monster Six must be her grown up version if she never left The Hunter's house and continued to listen that same song again and again for the rest of her life.
- The Thin Man and The Lady are the only ones that look like real humans.
If the thin man are mono,are the lady can be possibly six?
Man , I'm from Ukraine , and I wanna tell you an interesting theory from "the side", russian community of the game. Idk if ya know this , but still.
So..
TVs absorbing people , to make a "tv void" , that fleshy thing from the ending of the game.
When the Thin man grabs other kids to the void , they're leaving their holograms.
After the moment of six betraying mono , the tv void almost swallowed him whole , BUT
They felt his power
Like the battery in the clock
And they're sending him to room , with the light , that making him grow up faster.
If my memory doesn't fail me , then at the beginning of the city , we can find a chair , pretty similar to chair in tv void.. so Mono have done a suicide at some point.
AND Everything that he left behind , is his hologram , that haunting us. The young Mono. At first he decided to get rid of young Six , to make the cycle crush , but the tv void made him going crazy and.. well.. end.
Now , the tv void is controlling the hologram , AND doing everything to young Mono to come in there , and make the cycle agan , and bring the "battery" back

16:28 I noticed when the thin man started to get defeated he held his hand up like he was trying to tell the character to stop because he is trying to overall stop him from being betrayed, when we look at the thin man get defeated he kneels on the ground and looks up at mono and sticks out the same arm that six was using to hold your hand before she lets you go and drop you, notice how he he makes a maneuver where it’s like he was holding on to something and let go of it and proceeded to walk away.
He even let’s go and pulls his hand up like six, showing him what will happen to him.

So the reason for her Betrayal actually multiple things! In the comics six has short term memory loss. Probably du to the fact that part of her soul was ripped from her by the thin man when he takes her. ( hence why the shadow six and the subsequent hunger to fill that hole.) Her memory gets messy and since she has no soul her capasity for compassion for mono also fades. She warps into a monster and her only comfort is her old music box. ( shes not even hostile to mono as a monster initially. ) all she wakes up to is a strange boy who destroyed her only comfort and has a face resembling the thing that twisted her up into a monster to begin with, add That on top of being a kid messed up and traumatized by this horrible world and I don't blame her for not wanting to save him, i also don't blame mono for not understanding and getting sad, then vengeful, then taking his chance to warp her like how her Betrayal warped him. But in doing so he takes her memories and soul thus the never ending loop of revenge continues. . . . Just like real life abuse. Nether six or mono have the maturity or foresight to realize what is happening. That's the real nightmare

@@gabyxone3542 There are *multiple* flaws with that theory that basically debunk it. For example, if Six got separated from her soul in LN2 why would she show kindness to the Nomes in LN1? And that's only one of the many different problems this theory has.

@@gabyxone3542 Hugging is a sign of compassion and emotion, which Six wouldn't have if she had no soul. On top of this she also actually gives them warmth and light by lighting up the lanterns near them.
Furthermore Tarsier actually confirmed long ago that Six ate that Nome because she had figured out that the sausages aboard the Maw were made from the flesh of children and wanted to avoid becoming a cannibal, not realizing that the Nomes are actually children themselves. This is further proof of her having a soul, as she still has a sense of right and wrong.

im guessing mono (the thin man) took away six to make her experience what he did. I'm going to guess time is experienced differently so the time that (past) mono took to save her was years, so much time that she grew into the monster, just like how mono waited and grew

Huh, watching this now at 13:30 six reaches out to mono but he covers his face and sort of cowers in fear. Maybe the game eneded the way it did because sic saw this as a betrayal.
No, whenever the thin man gets close to mono he starts covering his ears in pain, it’s obvious he can’t do anything while in the thin man’s presence
Actually, the game shows the last (secret) cutscene where Six's hunger came back (as she hadn't eaten anything the whole game), so the game ends like this because Six would rather have Mono dead by the tower than by her own hands, as she can't control her hunger. Still sad, tho...

because mono IS six's nightmare 👀 he literally broke into six's "comfort zone" with the music box brutally smashing a door with a axe\hammer at the beginning, and so he does here at the end when she turns into a monster. The suitcase was probably a reference to the beginning of a nightmare (both here in LN2 in the tower, and in LN1 when she wakes up in the maw). anw, I don't blame mono, he's a kid too and he was just trying to save himself and his friend, but he ended up ruining everything. sob.
that suitcase is why i still think little nightmares 2 isnt a prequel, because why else would that suitcase even be relevant? my own theory isnt that the secret ending is telling six to go to the maw, i think its telling her to go BACK to the maw
It probable that the Thin Man (Mono) kept Six and Raised her. We can see accommodations for Six and it seems like you find her in a playroom. Is it possible the Thin Man still had an attachment to Six even after the betrayal. Because if he didn't want Mono to become him the easiest thing to do is kill Six. But he doesn't do that a d instead we find Six in a playroom.
She even has a music box as well which the Thin Man didn't need to give her.

I feel like Little Nightmares is a Paradox and the outcome will never be good because as long as ‘so and so’ happens another thing relating to that will prevent them from escaping. I really dont know how to explain it.

Bit of a theory but, when the thin man kidnapped Six, he gave her a room full of toys and a music box. She was clearly scared and broken, but she also grew up safe from the hunger and The Maw. What if the room mono became the Thin Man made him aware of her fate, and was trying to protect her? And when Mono destroyed the box, he took the one thing that helped her cope, creating the shadow six, and essentially condemning her to her fate?
Likewise, if this theory holds up at all, the Thin Man could have shared his knowledge with her, making her choose to let Mono fall knowing he would grow up and see her again, possibly saving her in the next loop.

Psychologically, yes, but we all know that time works differently in the tower. Even though Mono arrived at the tower just a few hours(?) after Six got captured, she was already transformed. In the ending, it took a long time for Mono to turn into Thin Man, so maybe the same is for Six?
Six isnt the one turning into a monster, dark six is the one controlling her into one.
An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. He’s we never really see six’s eyes and I’m not saying that she’s blind. But could monos betrayal when she was taken influence her to never speak of what she had done. And never take off the raincoat because only he knew who she really was
Everyone's been upset to six and tbh i really disagree with them and they're just being a bit too much, I think six has lots of reasons why she dropped mono's hand, it's not because of like "evil" doing, it's also not like six just used mono, the two had a strong bond and helped each other out, on the sequences where mono keeps entering the TVs and to the door where his older self sits, six just pulls him out everytime(except for that one part where the first encounter of mono's older self happens) because maybe she thinks it's bad (which actually is) and that part where they shot the hunter, that was teamwork right there and it signified their trust to each other. Now for that part where six is as a monster, for me i think that's one of the possible reasons of the betrayal, when mono just entered the room where Monster six and her music box is, she didn't attack mono like instantly, i mean when i got to that part i thought six is gonna attack me instantly just by being near the music box or calling her because i thought she completely changed like not just appearance and emotions but also memory, but nope and i was like "Oh, she still remembers me, guess I'm still her friend" and she just comes closer and present the music box like a fascinated kid that found a new toy but when mono damaged the music box, six was mad about it and just forgot about everything then when the music box was destroyed six turns back to her normal self but at that point she was upset to mono because of destroying the one thing that made her comforted and i think that's where their bond was broken, then at the final part where six dropped mono's hand, for me i think that's where six still thinks mono as her friend and would she really lift her friend's hand up still? Or drop and then she chooses to drop because she thought mono wasn't trustworthy any longer even though mono was just helping, six just misunderstood the breaking of the music box, i mean i can't blame six for that and truthfully i feel really bad for both of them too, mono's stuck in an infinite loop just trying to end the cycle and hope to be free from being taken over by the transmission of the signal tower, that sucks so much that he has to endure that way. Then we have six that got turned to a "survivor" type of a person where she does everything just to live and have trust issues and overall perception because of just how terrible and nightmarish the world in the little nightmares universe is, the good ending should be both of them to live, it should not and DEFINITELY not six being the one falling instead, no one is to be blamed but the world itself that had a terrible effect to everyone.

Yeah, I think the body language of Six should be noticed more. In LN2 Six shows a good number of emotions but in LN1 she doesn’t. And Six’s body language quite clearly changes between before she was taken by the thin man and when she was turned back to normal when Mono broke her music box.
(Spoilers)
Remember that at the end of Very little nightmares Six tried to SAVE someone only for it to fail. This could have made Six develop survivor’s guilt and she didn’t trust Mono at first when meeting him (mind you he just axed the door down and who WOULDN’T get scared by that?) which is why she runs right past him as he reaches his hand out to her.
When she tried to get into the attic she realizes that she can’t do it on her own so she reluctantly decides to give a partnership with Mono a try. Note that she shows reluctance in her body language when she is about to boost him up for the first time.
We can see her trust in him grows stronger over time as she shows genuine concern when she pulls Mono out of the TVs. And each time she does so she starts to show that she’s starting to get more and more scared, possibly of Mono.
And when the thin man pulls Six back into the TV when Mono tries to pull her out he is sealing his fate by making his younger self look not as strong as he seems and unreliable to Six.
Finally the tower had a room created just for Six, like a paradise for her with toys, safety and her beloved music box. And when Mono arrives and calls to her she may on the very last threads of trusting him but those last threads are strong enough that Six places her music box like a child wanting to share something when he calls to her. She doesn’t seem to mind being all twisted and deformed and is comforted by the music box. And when Mono starts breaking it, he is beginning to destroy the little trust that Six has left in him. Note that the tower starts becoming more and more broken apart as Mono repeatedly breaks Six’s music box, as he is also breaking Six’s paradise and comfort, something that she doesn’t want to be parted with. But Mono is forcefully taking it away from her right in front of her.
Note her trust isn’t still fully gone as she still doesn’t attack Mono unless he calls to her or gets too close to her. Perhaps the reason why she attacks when he calls to her is because him calling got her to share her music box in the first place and him calling her again when he starts to break it may seem to her like he’s trying to trick her into sharing the music box again but she’s not falling for it again so she tries to attack Mono. And when the music box is almost destroyed Six’s last threads of trust in Mono are plucking apart but some still intact. Perhaps she’s hoping that Mono will see how much he is hurting her by breaking her music box and hopes that he’ll stop, but evidently he doesn’t. And in breaking the music box, he broke all the trust Six had in him, only replacing it with hatred towards him. Notice her posture when she gets up after being turned back to normal, it looks like she is showing a newfound hatred she has for Mono.
And when they try to escape from the tower she catches Mono but takes a good look at him. She could be taking so long because she’s weighing her options. Once she tried to save a kid only for the kid to die anyway, but another kid she teamed up with hurt her and broke her trust. And being nothing but a survivor, she chooses that she can’t trust anyone else again and is still afraid of Mono (remember how Six became more and more scared of him as she kept pulling him out of the TV?) the fear is still there, and she sees how capable Mono is hurting her, so she wrenches her hand away, not throwing Mono into the pit, but this is why she drops him.
And now with new mindset that she can’t trust anyone because they’ll just hurt her, either by dying when she tries to save them or not listening to her warning and forcefully taking away her comfort, she gets taken to the Maw. And maybe this new mindset is reason why she went for the Nome instead of the sausage. Because she believes that she shouldn’t trust anyone else again because she’ll either be hurt by the disappointment in herself of trying but failing to save them like with the girl in the yellow raincoat or they hurt her directly by forcefully taking her comfort away like Mono. Maybe she saw the Nome offering her a sausage as it trying to become friends with her, but this time she’s not taking any more chances so she eats the Nome instead of the sausage because she doesn’t want to befriend it and be hurt again.
To summarize, Mono isn’t the perfect angel that the fans paint him as and Six isn’t the demon that the fans are making her out to be.
Six wasn’t born a monster. She was MADE a monster.

Fr I can't even begin to fathom how the guy who was isolated for years in a room due to someone he trusted looking him in the eye & dropping him gets less sympathy and most of the blame compared to the one who did the betraying. Six should've either been left in the Hunter's basement or the tower with her deformity & her dear "Music box" for all eternity... Mono just had to be d@mb to wake her back into reality & try to save her from what is in actual essence a faith worse than death when his door to freedom was just a few seconds away.
What's fucked up is that if you actually look at how far Mono jumped at the end, theres actually some chance he could have caught the ledge on his own.

Tbh I'm starting to kind of understand why six behaved this way. Okay she always was quite selfish and absolute, but that's the awful world that made her this way, you eat or you will be eaten, so she learned to be like this to survive in such cruel world. That's understandable that she put her life at first place, because it's what most people would really do, also we have to remember that she is still a small child so she act instinctively. The moments when she killed one of the Bullies she has done it because they attacked her first and could do this again, when she was breaking fingers of manequine hand was because she saw moving hands that tried to hurt them, while she warmed her hands from burning Doctor was probably, because she was cold and death wasn't something new to her, so obviously she just met her needs to warm up a bit without any thoughts. They helped each other many times, they work together even tho she could just go further alone after they got to island, she stayed with him. Then when the Thin Man was taking her while she reached for help and looked at Mono he covered his face and stepped back, so she felt betrayed. She didn't knew if she's gonna survive being kidnapped by Thin Man or be killed so naturally she was sure he just left her for death. This could break something in her, how her betrayal broke Mono. Also the music box that she clearly showed that is very imortant to her, when he called her she wanted to show him the Music box that she love so much, she put it in front of her and stepped back, so she was sure that it's safe with him, but Mono destroyed it and broke her once more. I don't know why it was so important to her, but it clearly was something valuable for her that must be protected at all costs. Maybe she let him go because she was scared of him and being betrayed once more or even being hurt by him. She could seek revenge or just wanted to make sure he won't hurt her anymore. Maybe she felt that he changed already and felt something in him that frightened her, maybe she saw a future Thin Man in him. Also the monster in the Tower could control her at some points, we have to notice that she behaves different after being changed to human from monster form.

Popular theory going around saying that Thin Man is Mono and the game is a time loop. No. Because Mono encounters a grown up Six as the final boss. Six grown up would actually more resemble the Lady from the first game!
So, my theory is that the eyes creature transformed Mono and Six into the creatures. Hell, the eyes could be why so many monsters are around. In the first game, you see an eye symbol everywhere. And now in LN2, each time Mono went inside a tv he saw the eye symbol. When Mono was confronting Thin Man, at the end of it the street lights seemed to stare down at Mono like a pair of eyes....
Its confirmed that mono turns into the thin man bc of the betrayal.

She looks down, she doesn't make eye contact. All her vision is obscured by her hair as well, which likely wouldn't help. She never looks closely at mono, mostly it's her own fault but also monos habit of partly obstructive hats (not all but most hide key facial features) assists in this.
Her first time, helping him up early on held little scrutiny, it was quick. It wasn't very methodical. So there is only one moment, with full context of the others in this world, she looks at him.

It's an endless loop and cycle. It's like showing how depressing the world is. Six save mono by letting go of him and he grew older sad and depress just like how real life works. Six remains as a child but then society affects her and her darkness is just getting stronger. As a child you have no power. It's like saving Mono from that darkness that as a child you have no power but as an adult, you have no freedom.
Except that real life does not work like that for most.

Six could tell that Mono was going to become the thin man due to their similarities (like both being able to control the tv signals) so six tried to stop the evil before it could happen by letting mono fall. Sadly, that didn't work and it ended up creating the evil. You can't blame six for trying to save the world.

Y’all on something. Six is bad from the gecko. She shows psychopathic tendencies by strangling a bully, warming her hands from the doctors burned body, breaking the mannequins fingers, and in the first game, she ate so many who were undeserving such as the gnome who was offering her a sausage for her hunger which was the Run-away kid from the DLC. She’s not trusting of Mono from the beginning and only uses him for her own gain such as the attic door when she’s essentially left with no choice but to let him help her. As for Mono “Betraying” Six, no he didn’t. If he went out of hiding he could’ve been captured too then both of them would’ve been turned. Mono also went back for Six as he could’ve just left her but he didn’t.
Y’all love Six way too much that you try to see the good in her but there is none. She looks out for herself and is only in her self interest and survival. If she was trying to “Save the world” by dropping Mono that’s a pretty stupid excuse to make. With both of them not even knowing Mono was the Thin Man. If dropping him would mean stopping him from becoming the Thin Man that would just stir hate in him if he did survive the fall, which he did, then that theory makes no sense. Cause as they both already saw the Thin Man as an adult so leaving Mono to hate and turn into the Thin Nan was Sixes creation. That alone could traumatize a child and lead them to make questionable moral decisions. As their journey together continued, Six and Mono got into more life threatening situations, which brought out more of Six's survival instincts and darker impulses. By the time the thin man took Six away, she most likely became warped, twisted, and traumatized by the experience. Six was literally transformed into a monster. Despite Mono's best efforts to save her, Six betrayed him. It could be any number of factors that led Six to betray Mono. The traumatizing adventure they've been through together, how Mono freed the thin man which led to more trauma for Six, how Six doesn't have a good amount of trust in others, how Six might have recognized Mono as the thin man and wanted revenge, or even the possibility that Six was damaged due to the experience with the thin man. Regardless of the case, after Six betrayed Mono, she became a darker individual. If little nightmares 2 really is the implied prequel to little nightmares 1, then Six really became more of a monster over the course of the 2 games. By the end of little nightmares 1, Six became a little nightmare.
