When I first played it I felt so sad when she ate the nome. I gasped at that part, sucked so hard. On one hand you feel terrible for six, but on the other you're thinking 'what monster am I controlling?'
Felt that. Throughout the whole game, I thoguht to myself "oh hell no, no one must hurt Six." And then after that scene, I thought "yeah I don't know if I should be rooting for her anymore"

fun fact! the humming that plays while six tries to find food are actually the nomes that follow her off screen!
Her hunger came to her to fill the void caused by the lack of soul after the Thin Man kidnapped her.
That's why she dropped Mono and that's why she is always hungry.
Shadow Six is actually her sould outside her body, it is heavily implied that when she eats she just remembers her past, so that's why the shadow appears.
That’s just a theory
Before the ending happens, we hear humming and there are two voices humming, two voices that are out of tune. But after you eat the lady, we hear the voices come back but they are in tune now, which I think means that the voices were six and also the soul outside her body, and once the ending happens her soul is now with her again, and she remembers everything.

Well when you're starving your stomach hurts, but that's normal. In her case you can tell she is starving and it only hit her in the rare moments where her life wasn't in danger

She was just free when mono drew her, Six has the ability to absorb power when people are helpless and again in a weak state she absorbs mono power when mono is helpless and exhausted at the end. She devours the lady when the lady is helpless and gains her strength.
I've read that these children's voices in the background are supposed to be the nomes , but I don't know if that's true.
If you move 6 to a certain angle you can fully see what's going on. She lunges at Runaway boy gnome sending the sausage flying & pins him down by his shoulders then 1st chomps on his neck and moves on to his torso. Tiny flecks of blood visible
All the while - he screeches and chirps loudly (we can all hear him) , undoubtedly in agony/excrutiating pain!
His tiny hands legs flailing until shortly he goes limp and falls silent ..😰🤮 ⚰️
His body and head gets thinner as she eats him until he's very skinny, when she's done his head is almost cut in 2, narrower an more curved. 1 of his tiny arms is across his chest and the other raised to where 6 was

I feel like when six entered the end of the tower, she wound up here and her hunger is what caused her to mutate into a monster, and that the music box is what keeps her mind off of eating people (the tune playing when hungry)

No, the music box is an imprisonment that she goes to for comfort, she keeps it safe at the start of ln2 and when she turned into the monster in ln2 so she basically won't go unless convinced you're the good guy, therefore she imprisons herself with her music box

Mono is at the bottom of the Signal Tower and, like the developers confirmed, when Six escapes the Prison the Runaway Kid is already in the Depths.

It's how six has hunger as her connection with the maw - seeing as it is a place to eat and how she absorbs the guests souls after she eats the lady - the host of these buildings, the maw and the transmission tower, have their incarnations with a hidden instinct to prevent them from deviating and to have them as a source to survive. To be honest six's connection to the maw seems much more clear than mono. I still can't find any actual instincts he shows other than wanting to go to the tower in the first place. If you have a clue about this let me know
