Awesome Theory it makes sense 👏 edit: Hmmm I wonder who grew up to become the lady and also the girl with the yellow rain coat on before six might sixs sister? 🤔
I was pretty sure Six was evil the moment she ate that nome in the first game. But, it's a world controlled and corrupted by evil through-and-through, so... I just really view her as a survivor. More "Neutral Evil".
I think Six realized that if she rescued Mono, then Mono is the only one who will cross the TV because he is the only one who has that ability and she will die alone, so I think that she somehow absorbed his powers on the bridge so she can cross the TV and survive! And Mono lost his ability to transport to catch up with six or even to survive. you can notice that the thin man appeared to be glitched at the beginning of the game, but Mono or (the new thin man) seems to look like a normal human in despair.
This makes things just sadder cause then she looked in Mono's eyes saw his desire to connect and fear of loneliness and was like. "Welp ..I don't need that ,die."
@@femylin Maybe it's a metaphor because that's all they see and feel. Six with her traumatized pass and Mono being scared of the unknown dark and loneliness. As in saying normally looking into a child's eyes all you see is pure innocence, but in their case it's gone.
It’s more she saw his eyes and realized mono was the thin man. She realized something wasn’t right with him and let him go out of fear that mono would end up doing something bad in the future if she were to have saved him. But there is a lot of interpretations to the story.
I have read another theory about this where Six knowing that Mono has the ability to go through Transmission she grabbed him to be able to take some of his powers. Knowing that she cant do that herself and when she has taken some of his powers she disposed of him. Six has the ability to take others powers Knowing that she took The Lady's power at the ending of Little Nightmares 1
Mono didn’t just disturb her music box isolation. In fact, when he comes, she’s non aggressive and shuffles towards him when he calls for her. Almost like she might just follow him out if she could. He can run right up to her and touch her and she won’t harm him. Hit her with the axe and she just shoved him (non lethally) away. It’s only when he harms the box that she becomes angry and afraid. It seems to physically pain her, perhaps because the music box is part of anchoring the change to her body or perhaps it’s just terror knowing that while she has it she’s ‘safe’ and by destroying it, Mono is dragging her back out into the world of monsters and fear. In a way, by trying to save her, Mono condemns her to a worse fate.
It's even worse when she scoots out even more on the second call, she puts down the music box in front of her as if to say "sit and listen with me" That shows she did see him as someone worth her while, someone worth sharing her comfort with, she trusted her most precious feelings and her most precious item to him. It's so sweet but so heartbreaking
He wanted to help her he wasn’t wrong for helping his friend he just wanted to help people he just wanted to be happy he just wanted to not be alone again.
Yeah it’s so jarring that other people don’t actually notice this. Even the strategy of “calling her” to misdirect her and hit her music box becomes traumatic at the end (she starts whimpering and cowering when she hears mono’s voice - like she associates it with pain). The whole thing is sad cause it can be an allegory for real life. Sometimes you do things that hurt people thinking it’s the right thing to do, even if you they’d end up hating you for it. Especially in this case where Six is a kid - more so in a messed up world where her life is constantly threatened. Mono’s probably the only person she remotely connected with, so in her head, it seemed like he was the one who betrayed her first. It’s as if she’s coming to terms with what she thinks as “abuse” (she might have been abused before) and finally deciding not to take any more of it.
I don't think it really is connected to monophobia in particular because a lot of names have "mono" in it. It is just to say he is alone because this is what mono mean:"One"
13:29 “Time is broken, we don’t know how long she’s been in there for” That is such a good point. The Six that was calling for Mono behind the TV is definitely not the one who Mono reverted back to normal, metaphorically speaking. Whatever happened to her in the tower changed her for better or for worse... we don’t really know. But what we do know is that Six was mainly angry at Mono for extracting her from her fantasy, her perspective is very different from Mono’s. To her, she felt safe being alone in a room of solicitude, and then Mono came in and ruined everything. Just like you said, Six followed her instincts and caught him, but ultimately decided that she didn’t need him anymore. It’s really sad that this happened to them, they didn’t deserve it at all.
For me personally, I see her as a vindictive and selfish person. She care only about herself and only helped Mono for her own sake. She was just using him.
@@Themightystar5000 That's contradicted by what we see in the game though. Every single time the Thin Man lures Mono to a TV with the broadcast signal, it's Six who saves him and pulls him out. When the Thin Man first appears, Six is quite clearly concerned for Mono's well being and pleads for him to come with her. She doesn't leave him until the last possible second, which means she put herself into harms way for his sake.
Maybe she realises that Mono is helping her overcome her trauma but isn't ready to heal? She grabs his hand, but when she sees his face she realises just how much trust she's put into him and freaks out due to her not being mentally in the right place to heal.
This is my headcanon now-- Also because it makes so much sense to me, knowing Six has been through quite a lot having to heal so quickly might come as a shock
I think it’s because after seeing mono without his mask, she can see that his face has a closer resemblance between him and the thin man. She probably drops him because without the thin man, her journey to going to the maw and killing the lady will be impossible. As you can see during the end of the cutscene where six grabs you, she hesitated for a few seconds before dropping mono, But it was for survival right?
Let's not forget that she's only a nine year old child who can't process things as logically as an adult would, especially when she's dealt with trauma and is constantly fighting for her life. She acts on instinct because that's the one thing that has been helping her all this time. This is why I can't hate her and why I don't think she's evil. She's a victim who sadly survived through the harshest of circumstances.
Yes. We don't really know her past and her side of the story. So it's unfair to judge when we only see her through other's perpective. I wonder what did Thin Man do to her when she was abducted.
It’s six’s fault she dropped mono causing mono to become thinman who had to be forced to help the signal tower that’s the reason why the pale city it’s six’s fault
I interpreted Six's hunger like this: When she was taken by The Thin Man, it left a part of her soul behind, leaving her with an endless empty hunger that will never be filled. Also might be part of why she betrayed Mono, but I'm not sure
@@Mewos-l8z I don’t get this notion- people keep claiming that it’s a confirmed sequel and yet when pressed, are never able to produce any statement of such
@@Mewos-l8z I’m pretty sure the only reason why they confirmed it as a sequel was to make monos fate less obvious. If we had been told it was a prequel everyone would have known something bad was going to happen to him.
Plus, if you look closely, she's hesitant before leaving, holds her face as if trying to hold in tears, and doesn't particularly walk away immediately as if she's proud of possibly killing someone she was closest to.
I watched the ending quite a few times and I noticed something I don't think that many knows. When Six caught Mono I noticed a white sparkle falling off of Six face, which I think is a tear. This shows that Six was sad when she let him go. The reason for it is unknown but I think that Six felt guilty for what she done but seemed to have had no other choice.
Six was the one who always helped Mono when the Thin Man tried to take Mono through the TVs. She threw herself in harm's way, for his sake. But at the end, right before she dropped Mono, she took a long look at him (it's the first time Mono didn't wear the bag on his head), and Six recognized who he actually was. Six was tormented by the Thin Man previously, and she knew the Thin Man caused so much destruction and sorrow. So she probably thought that by dropping Mono, it would make the Thin Man dissappear and end the cycle. But well, Mono didn't kick the bucket and grew up to be the Thin Man, again.
@@ValadrienLeonhartwdym did we play a different game from the jump mono help saves six from the hunters basement he saves her at the school helps her again when she's stuck from the houses falling he pulled her out and when the thin man first came the reason she got found was because she decided to hide under the table instead of the bed and then mono risks his life again to save her from monster six but let's take a pause the thin man mono he knew what would happen he doesn't kill her to insure his safety he doesn't put her in an awful nightmare even after all those years that she even tired to kill him and left him Alone he gives her what she loves most the music box putting her in a room just like the one he found her maybe mono did this as a sorry or he still always liked her even after what she did to him he was never a monster even when he became the thin man from then she drops him and while there's a lot of theories the most popular one was she thinks he was the thin man I think its not it why would she think there would be 2 monos she's 9 to and after we see her as monster six does she attack no does she act mad no when we call for her she stooches over by us and brings her music box by us sharing her comfort with us but then we break her music box one of the things she loves most we betrayed her trust and after we save her from monster six form she looks at us with anger and we know anyone who has done six wrong she always gets revenge janitor the lady the guest the bullies the doctor she wanted to betray mono like he betrayed her and lets not forget she is 9 and i think six does feel guilt maybe we will see more of six and mono in LN3 hopefully
I think that due to the circumstances of the world of Little Nightmares, it’s a bit unfair of us to make judgements of character based on morals and values that will most likely get this child killed. Instead of a villain, she is a consequence.
@@zapzap9610 In games (and movies) the villain is most likely the one who betrays and/or attacks (with the intent to kill) the protagonist of the story.... However in the story of LN, The main protagonist is not clarified. In LN, Mono is used as a 'way' to control and progress the story. In LN III (if there was one), there might be a protagonist shift. ⚠️ Spoiler Alert ⚠️ A great example can be AoT. In the entirety of AoT (except chapter 139), Eren is the supposed 'protagonist' or 'main character'. However, in chapter 139, the protagonist of the story changes to Mikasa, and Eren dies. So subjectively you 'are' correct, and 'objectively' you might be correct. 👍
@@1slayer959 True but Mono didn't know this obviously. And i am pretty sure that Six couldn't have killed the hunter or doctor by herself... as a matter of fact she wouldn't even have made it out of the hunters cabin.
@@res6148 Six doesn't have the perspective of the viewer. From her perspective mono released the thin man. The next thing she knows, she's running from a monster holding monos life in her hands. Also, we don't know if six could have, or couldn't kill the hunter and dock without mono. Theres more then one way to skin a cat afterall. Though, that's largely irrelevant as again, despite their good teamwork. Your partner summoning a giant tv demon that's out for specifically your blood, kinda trumps all the other experiences.
I just realized why we only see the girls raincoat float to the surface but never see her body, I originally thought that the girl may have actually survived but I just noticed that at the very end it appears the pretender may have actually caught her and if so used her ability to make her dissapear, which as we've seen, causes the body of the victim to seemingly shrink or evaporate, leaving their clothes behind.
I would like to add that this is incredibly likely as there are two particle effects that play as they hit the water, a clear splash from the girl hitting the water, however just as the pretender hits the water and thereby hit the girl, a blue light effect under the water plays at the same time as the second splash. For me this means the pretender's power went off underwater and the flash was the result, leaving only the raincoat.
@@cookieelement3467 i actually thought the pretenders powers passed 2 the raincoat, which is why when six takes the coat she has the power of the pretender/lady
I had assumed that happened - the only question in my mind was ‘did the pretender die on impact and her corpse touching the girl was enough to make the disappearance happen... or did the pretender survive to make it happen?’
@@kieshaanwebb915 I know the idea behind it. The Six flashed when she puts on the coat in 2. My problem is there is no guarantee it is the same coat and the hunger bouts themselves don't start until the very end of the game. Six has no sign of any actual abilities outside of being hungry until after eating the lady. Plus Dark Six is almost explicitly shown to have been created when Thin Man takes six and splits her in some way. The pretender passing her powers onto an object doesn't really make sense in the grand scheme of things as the only instances of power infused objects brings them to life.
A few things I noticed: Mono is the one to grab the gun and fire at the hunter. Six attacks the bully only after Mono crushes several bullies to save her. Six breaks mannequin fingers while Mono is also crushing fake hands with a hammer. Mono is the one to incinerate the doctor, and Six gives him a surprised look before settling by the fire. I think she learned a lot from Mono in the first place, and they’re both just trying to survive.
I mean other thing maybe true but the breaking mannequin hand is not learning from Mono,i mean she not go with him when he do it,and the true is he do it after six breaking mannequin hand, and she breaking it because she bored from waiting for Mono so long

@@shirinbhattacharjeesuchitr121 ofc he would want to kill her she betrayed him she left him for dead she caused mono to become the thin man if she didn’t let him go then thin man wouldn’t even exist
I think the moment when mono hid under the bed , while six was taken by the thin man was the moment she realized she couldn’t count on him. Even though Monos fate is so sad, this video is honestly making me rethink how I look at Six.
Well Mono couldn’t do anything because, the Thinman was effecting him but yeah your right tho. I think it was because, of Mono’s monophobia. Six saw the connection and fear of loneliness in Mono’s eyes (Since Mono’s whole life people left him his father got in a accident and mother fell in depression in hung killed herself but they didn’t let Mono see it so they sent him off to a boarding school to get his mind off it) which lead to her dropping him.
If that was true, she wouldn’t have relied on his help to escape from TV not long afterward. Also, remember, Mono was in PAIN when the Thin Man got too close, it wasn't that he was scared (though frankly, even if he could attempt to help, it would've been useless). Also, he was single handedly the _only_ reason she could escape from the tower in the first place, so her believing Mono is a liability requires her to ignore litterally all of the context surrounding his choices.
@@Mewos-l8z nah, at the very end mono had his hat off due to the little encounter with thin man so she saw the resemblance of mono and the thin man and dropped him flat.
Y'know, I almost felt like I could see her face after Mono didn't save her while he was hiding under the bed, and I totally felt like she felt betrayed by Mono. The way she was just frantically trying to get him to help her, I felt kinda bad for her, and even though in the end she dropped me, I was shocked but I understood. She'll do whatever it takes to survive and kill anyone she hates while doing so.
I like this theory, a lot of the ones I've seen tend to forget or kind of ignore the fact that these are children we're talking about. Most adults couldn't handle the stuff these kids go through in these games and as someone who has been around small kids practically my whole life I can tell you that, Six's response doesn't seem that far fetched to me. Children often have trouble with emotions since they're young and don't have that all sorted yet and won't for a very long time. Some can be quick to anger and hold grudges and considering the fact that 1) Mono didn't help save her from the thin man and when he tried he couldn't. 2) Him not helping her lead to her becoming the monster and god only knows how being turned into something like that would feel like. 3) He destroys her music box, she's already stuck in this awful form and all she wants is some peace. And the transformation from her monster form to her "normal" self was obviously painful, evidenced by her screams and cries when it happens. Six has every reason, in her mind, to be mad at Mono and in those final moments, her anger prevaled, leading to her dropping him. And she also probably had some reasons to it, including the ones mentioned above it was also Mono who let the thin man free, if Mono hadn't done that, Six wouldn't have had to go through the (most likely) traumatic experience of being turned into a monster. She might've been afraid it would happen again.
@@Tericho true but then again mono had aged up with a chair and and nothing else and he kept sanity and tried to stop the loop and he probably had a sad backstory but we haven’t seen it and he remained a nice person
I mean we don't really know if he was really trying to help himself. In fact why would he do the same thing over and over and then expect a different result? I think he's under the eyes control and that he wasn't trying to warn his young self but he was trying to bring his young self into the tower
@@Crazy-ms7ty exactly. Maybe the thin man was just doing what the tower wanted. It wanted mono to always be there so it could still live and exist. So it makes sense to me if the thin man actually meant to let six with the music box or maybe the tower just sacrificed the old mono because he was weakest than mono, I mean if the eyes knew what six's nightmare was it could've let her with a music box and an axe in her room. Since the tower already knew what would happen and that it will make six let mono here and mono would've end up giving up and becoming the thin man to make the loop happen again
@@Crazy-ms7ty I didn't say he wanted it could be the eyes that took over his conscience and making him do the same thing over and over in fact the tower needs him to keep existing.
@@Crazy-ms7ty who said its the thin man himself? We just know he's doing what he's doing but maybe the tower is controlling him, I'm not the type of person who opens their mouth without thinking twice before talking
Six is only scared that if it goes on longer when time goes on and mono dies it will be harder to deal with the pain and so six thought this was easier to just kill him now or she can feel the evil within him thus leading to now never ending suffering for the viewers
I think that I think six knew that she was going to get caught by the thin man aka mono gets me mad but I always have to tell my self that there children and six is not a villain but isn’t as bad if not worse than mono at least he tried to save six but six is a kid in her eyes she think “he just sat there as I called out for him how could he” but at the same time mono did reach hand I have to look more into it but still six could just used her brain to hide in a better spot but there little kids
i can disagree i see six, mono and everyone in this would as a victim as the world's system benefits only the single tower at the expense of 99.9999999% of people Six got ripped in 2, mono became a lonely slave and the viewers are just food for the tower it self while all of this happens in an endless loop
Something that I noticed even in my first playthrough of Little Nightmares II is that Six is _scared_ of Mono, even before the Thin Man becomes a factor. Three times she pulls you back from the TV to save you, and with each increasing time you ignore her wishes and return to messing with your powers, she trusts you less. Look at her animations right after she pulls Mono from the TV - the first time, she just seems confused and concerned, but the second time, she flinches away as Mono moves to gets up, scooting away a little bit before getting up herself. It's even worse the third time she pulls him out - she scrambles away from him frantically before the appearance of the Thin Man distracts her. She knows that Mono is messing with things he can't control, and she knows that she's in danger because of his actions (which is true, since she was the one who ended up being taken). I know I'm in the minority with this opinion, but I fully sympathise with her dropping Mono in the end. She kept ending up in horrible situations because she was following him.
But also the reason he takes her in the first place is cause she was the one that dropped him and left him trapped i think? Maybe the thin man also takes mono too just cause he knows he will try to save her. Or hes so powerful he just doesnt care after being there. Mono is the one who finally opens the door to let him out so first thing he does is take six
Then again this theory dosent work to me since the only reason mono is attracted to the TV is because his older version is behind the door. Causing him to unlock his older self and six get captured, but there had to be a first timeline. Where everything began, in which mono wouldn't be attracted to the TV since there wouldn't be an older version of him yet.
this is beautifully explained. Six didn’t dropped Mono out of nowhere, I dont know why people fail to realize that. Mono did a lot of things which led to this (messing with TVs even though they’re clearly dangerous, causing the Thin man to appear and not helping Six when he took her, destroying the music box… without mentionning the fact Six probably recognized Mono as the Thin Man and the fact all the eyes of the signal towers were only looking at Mono. Six liked Mono but she had to drop him, he was a threat without being conscious of it)
For me personally, I see her as a vindictive and selfish person. She care only about herself and only helped Mono for her own sake. She was just using him.
@@MM-ne2cl bro literally there is not a single theory you mentioned that makes sense. She is simply a selfish person and a bad person. Why can't some people understand something so obvious like this and strangely try to say that what six did to Mono is not betrayal?

Thank you for this analysis, actually- I see so many times people seeing characters acting out due to trauma and immediately labeling them as irredeemable villains or pure evil, and it's good to see someone putting out a more well-rounded analysis of it rather than dismissing it as "six betrayed mono, six bad"
I don't think she's evil. Six just seems like a survivor who's been through hell, using instinct to survive. Hell, even when she's mangled and twisted, she's still friendly with Mono, even sharing her music box with him so he could listen to it too, she trusted him up until he tries to smash it.
Same with mono who was trapped into a box and the runaway kid who was eaten alive and the bread boy who was stuck in a cafeteria presumably and the girl in the yellow raincoat who sacrificed herself for six
also thin man/mono can twist and mangle reality. and thin man captured her,so that could only mean that she was tortured. would you save someone that would be your tormentor? specially when you 9?
Actually mono doesn’t choose to hide he seems to be feeling pain whenever either he and the thin man are too close to each other or when the thin man sounds a certain pitch making mono grab his head and fall to the ground with pain u can see it when he first sees the thin man coming out the tv and when he’s grabbing six u can see him in pain underneath the bed it’s not that he doesn’t help six it’s that he couldn’t help six
Yess true its almost like the world punishes them for being to close to each other. I think from sixs pov however she sees the fact that mono bends over in pain as a weakness
Six wouldn't know it though, the only thing that would go through one's mind at that point is "Survival! Help! Assist me! I'm probably gonna fucking die if I'm taken the to the next location, help me, you sand licking ice eating cardboard box!"

I totally agree with this. You gotta remember that Six is very young and her losing people she trusts, trying to save them, and even almost dying it's a lot for someone her age to take in. I do believe that she has been warped by the darkness due to other theory's heard. All the character in the game so far seem to have a dark interest, motivation, etc. And in my opinion I think these characters were warped into what that the desire or whatever it is. Maybe because she was in that realm, and ended up turning into a huge creature due to her insecurities and the representation of them in physical for, a part of that follows her when she turned back normal Actually, I don't know if this sounds stupid, but maybe that's all the creatures are like; they become warped and shaped into a physical version of their desires, insecurities, etc. I think of that because of a comic a read that is kind of like this on webtoon, called home sweet home. Everyone has some kind of parasite in they're brains, and they end up changing into what they desire most, becoming horrifying creatures and turns the world into an apocalypse world, maybe it's the same thing here, just the plot and story is a bit different
She's the case of victim turned villain. An unyielding little girl who faced countless horror and atrocities through out this cruel and hateful world. Her horrible experience slowly turning her in to a cruel, uncaring and emphaty less person she is now. Mono failed her when thin man captured her. So he is more of a burden rather than a ally. And she will not tolerated him anymore. Just like many real life baddies. Austrian boy who suffered broken family and abusive father, goes out to pursuit his interest in art but due corrupted system he is rejected and abandoned in a cruel world. Forced to live in low life neighbourhood and get infected by hateful ideology, almost starve to death twice. Try his best to serve his chosen land as bravely as possible but even with his best attempt everything is futile. Can you guessing who am I talking about? His actions is pure evil and never justified but as we see in to his story and six's action. The similarity is shocking.
I understand Six's point of view. I was upset of what she did to mono, but what you said in this video really makes sense. I'm just really sad how good of a relationship Six and Mono grew and they just lost it.
Hey I had a similar thought on this! This has to be my favorite take on Six. She is human and therefore can be a villain and a victim. Her world and journey shaped her into the survivor.
Six is such a complex character which makes me love her. She's probably one of my favourite fictional characters of all time and maybe even a comfort character. For me, she's a victim and a child who just tries to survive. And maybe she even regrets dropping Mono. I really hope that there will be a third game with a happy ending, with both of them together again :)
@@Themightystar5000 I just think her character is complex and I like that. She's literally just a child who's trying to survive in a world that wants her dead. If you don't like her, that's fine, but she's my favourite character in this franchise.
I think time passes differently in the tower. Just like how Six became large in little to no time, I think Mono got changed in the same way. So perhaps Six went through a “long” time in isolation in the tower. That’s why in the room she was found in, she kept a lot of mementos of the times she had with Mono. She had a lot of time to “think” about her situation. She kept herself safe and calm from the eyes monster surrounding her... until Mono breaks her safe space (trance)... again
@@DLxxx True she could have been teetering on the edge. Also if you don’t smash the music box and just explore the room and call out to her, she doesn’t attack you. She comes close to you and even pushes the music box towards you like she wants to share it with you. After you hit it, she tips over and becomes insane with rage.
All these comments made me shed tears. I really want to hug Six and listen to everything she's been through. What did the hunter and thin man do to her when she was abducted? What happened in the past that made her refuse to remember any of the memories? Why was she suffering with hunger pain? And why she's really fond of her music box? Is there a story behind it? Perhaps it reminds her of her home or something?
I know that. The line is from the Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. The second one. With the Og Joker, Health Ledger himself. The line was delivered by Harvey Dent himself.
This theory is making me feel so upset for six. I know she betrayed mono but I feel like this video explains so much to why she may have done this in the first place.
Or maybe just maybe, she stopped thinking or at least feeling at all. What if the food for the hunger that was meant to suffice Six isn’t really food, but the hunger for the emotions and heart she lost when the thin man took her and left her glitch soul behind. What if the hunger was her affection for Mono that cured her fear and trauma albeit filled that empty void that made her decide to leave her safe space, Mono was the one who introduced what friendship and trust means. Despite of Mono hiding in fear of thin man, she would’ve forgave him but her soul, her heart the glitch was left behind. And the Six in little nightmares is nothing but a husk that is filled with nothing but emptiness and incessant hunger. The six in the tower isnt the six Mono and the players knew, but shes the six that was regressed into her fearful self just as the first time we saw her. My best example was from a folk story we have about the evil king. He was a fearful child and was forced to fend for himself, alone, desperate and hungry and the room he was imprisoned in was his safe space until a prince took him out of his prison and spent his youth with him as his adoptive brother, until the prince grew up and became king, his friend become distant and at some point disdainful because the king started buying slaves from across kingdoms and he didn’t like it, reminded him of his life when he was sold as one along with his siblings. He started a resistance, and the throne was usurped and all the royals were killed, all except one, the king. He asked the king to where he brought the slaves and what he did to them, He simply answered, they work in the palace’s grounds as his wards and caretakers, gave them food and shelter and far from abuse. He retorted, “you liar!” And striked the kings head off with one swoop. Only later to find out that the king was right, not only that the former slaves have bought a house of their pwn had families of their own and arent even slaves because they have wages that can afford them to buy their own land. And only worked for the king out of gratitude. The man was in distraught to have striken down his dear friend and brother, and that everything he did was for the sake of those people who were slaves just as he did for him, out of grief he took his own life. He wasn’t a king though, more like a sultan/ feudal lord. But either way the story reminded me of little nightmares
I feel like we cant really answer this question until we know about six and her background The farthest back we can go with six is at the nest and we dont even know why or how shes there (we don't even know if the short haired ggirl is really her since all the children in this world look exactly the same) Besides so far six has grown up in a world where it is quite literally eat or be eaten. its probably hard to trust or show kindness to someone after that
So, I’m saying this before I watch the video but this is my theory, when six turned into a monster, the reason it was so fast for her to turn into one was because she was controlled since the beginning, her monster was always holding the music box, which was what she had been holding in the beginning when we find her, she also drew the tower and lots of tally marks, meaning they trapped her there for a long time, and have her mental state under control, she’s just fighting against that feeling with the music box, which she is emotionally attached to, so as a monster it’s what’s keeping her as a monster, which explains why when you break it, she goes back to normal, this can also prove that everyone in the little nightmares world used to be normal. Now, after six returns, she knows the feeling of being one of the distorted monsters, and the monsters you turn into are just your biggest fear/s, furthermore explaining why the music box was so special to her in monster form. So, with that in mind, the whole thing ties into when six drops Mono, it’s because when Mono lost his mask, she recognized that he was the thin man, you can see her think wether or not she should drop him, and thinking that if Mono dies, the thin man would never really happen, but it really just starts the time line over and over again. Going over to Mono and the thin man, the whole thing is a time paradox, so the thin man, previously mono, is actually trying to help present mono, to escape with her, when he kills you it’s because he’s under the tower’s control, but you can see that when present mono “defeats” thin man with his powers, you can see the thin man hold up his hand, telling mono to stop because he knows that he lost the paper bag there, starting it over again. Short Version, Six is a Victim
@@Mewos-l8z well if u think about it she can sleep atleast somewhere in the suitcase or the maw beds unlike mono who stayed awake all his life without eating or anything with a chair he got the worser fate
@@Mewos-l8z I wonder if she ever had any nightmares about Mono and the Girl with the Yellow Raincoat.. The idea that she has major survivors guilt honestly makes so much sense.
I think in Little nightmare 2, Six actually didn't want to hurt Mono, considering how she helps Mono til the end, I am not sure why she drops Mono, but the action she snaps her hand out like she has touched something creepy and drops Mono, there should be some reason why she dropped him. She kinda cared him everytime she pulls out Mono from Television. So it could be too ridiculous if she dropped him because she is.. well.. scary bitc. Some people theorize the reason of betrayal is because Mono looks like thin man, or whatever but I am not sure. there were many hat skins that can see his face long time ago, you know which means, WE GOD DAMN NEED LITTLE NIGHTMARE 3 or maybe other Mobile game This is the first time I want to play more big franchise game in mobile If you hadn't played the very little nightmare, go ahead it is worth a penny
He doesn't even look like thin man tho In her mind Mono"turned his back on her" there is no complex reason to it throughout the game u see she is super vindictive and rotten And Mono opened Thin Man's door and let Six get taken by him So he took it well literally as a betrayal
I think it's because she didn't even recognize him lol. The whole time she's known him he's had a bag over his head (she never saw his face) and that before she drops him she tilts her head as if confused by what she's seeing; pair that with the Thin Man taking something away from Six (her shadow self who I think left a hole so big in Six that she compensates by her intense hunger) that she just drops him. Why would you help a complete stranger in that terrifying world? She might've connected the dots in the ending when she looks a little shaken, but by then she has bigger issues to tackle, like the beginning of her crippling hunger. I hope that if they make a third game it's about Six trying to reconnect with her lost part.
@@my2randomcents We didn't even know what happened when thin man kidnapped six. She also tried to escape from thin man. ( When mono saw six hands at TV.) Maybe she saw something hint that mono was thin man.
If you’ve seen the datamining video that shows Mono’s face as he ages into the Thin Man, you can see that Mono as a child looks absolutely nothing like the Thin Man. So I just don’t buy the idea that Six “recognizes” him as the Thin Man and that’s why she drops him. I think her survivor’s instinct has gotten so toxic that while she started out with relatively good intentions, she did eventually succumb to her darkness and became a full on villain.
Yeah but uh, his hat was on the whole time until the encounter with the thin man, so there's gotta be a reason that happened, yeah? I don't think the developers would do that for no reason. Also, in the scene where mono was about to be dropped, you could see six moving her head as if she was investigating mono's face.
Shadow Six doesn't seem to appear like the other remnants potentially left behind by the thin Man as the coat is left behind meanwhile we have never seen clothing or so much as a variation in hairstyle amongst the Remnants. Maybe it's more of an effigy of her regret. Regret of being both not enough and too much at the same time. Not enough for the Girl in the Yellow Raincoat and too much for Mono.
And...well... she kind of learned it from Mono, didn't she? Mono grabbed the gun and pulled the trigger, she just helped him after he'd already begun, Mono burned both the toy and the surgeon so she accepted it and warmed up, Mono killed close to a dozen porcelain kids and was about to kill another when Six stepped up and did it too. Mono smashes several alive mannequin hands (there's even an achievement for continuing to smash them after they're already dead) and we see Six breaking a mannequin hand that wasn't moving or alive. Mono showed zero remorse or sympathy for adults so when he and Six see one kill himself on the TV she kicks him to be sure he's actually dead and the threat eliminated. Mono's greatest desire was to not be alone and he would kill, destroy, and warp reality to achieve that. Six just wanted to be alone and safe so she once again followed his lead. She did like and trust him but when he called her out to destroy her music box, he was more than willing to destroy her peace of mind for his own desires. So she did the same. Everything Six is and does she learned from Mono.
@@Crazy-ms7ty Regardless of Mono's reasons, he did still do these things and Six followed suit. They had no choice in killing the hunter but he didn't have to burn the surgeon, he already had him completely trapped inside the furnace with no way out. He didn't HAVE to turn it on. But he did. Mono never hesitates even once to kill or shows any shock or upset when confronted with dead kids. And Mono probably does really care about Six, from his perspective he was saving her AND he wouldn't have to be alone. But he did show a ruthlessness throughout the game that Six slowly begins to emulate. As for why she felt it necessary to let go, there could be multiple reasons. Because she felt he betrayed her when he forced her to leave a place she felt safe in, because she traumatized by her experiences, because of influence from the tower, because she recognized his face, maybe even the Thin Man straight up told her who he was. Regardless of the reason, the ruthless decision to do what was best for her regardless of consequences to others is something Mono had been doing all along.
@@yuhboi859 What context disagrees with it? Mono walks straight past the bodies of dead kids with zero reaction. He burned the surgeon to death after he'd already been eliminated as a threat and locked up, he bashed to death porcelain kids one after another in front of Six. Six showed no signs of violent tendencies before she met Mono. Her first instincts were to run and hide. Mono may have had his reasons but it's certainly clear that he DOES have a ruthlessness to him, both as a child and as an adult. And you see Six slowly start to be more violent and ruthless as the game progresses. It's a reasonable theory that she learned it from Mono.
@@Scweetoof Thanks! I don't think either kid is evil, really, just products of their environment and experiences. But people wondering at Six's violent tendencies and ruthlessness and ignoring Mono's kind of surprised me.
I really enjoy watching your little nightmares theories. Little nightmares is so mysterious that so many different theories could make sense. It's cool to see how everyone interprets what's happening in the game differently.
i didnt know about that either but i didnt think of six as evil. my first true thought was that she dropped him because she finally saw his face and made a connection to thin man. either way i said before she could have just left instead of grabbing his hand. six been through alot so i wouldn't fault her for some things
Wait, could it be that Six didn't let go so that she doesn't get stopped on her quest but because she saw Mono's face like and was flustered and said "Oh no! He's so cute!!" And Six accidently dropped him😂😂
I love the saying "your shadow is your true self" in this case for six , the only way to survive was to embrace that side, in such a dark world. Great video! Also I think little nightmares is trying to tell us something about our world and how we all deep down only have the one need, survival and we'll do anything to get to it.
I think in the beginning she was the "victim". Little by little she became more scared and more cautious. She saw a lot of nightmares and didn't know who to trust.
13:15 Actually, that is NOT her real face. Her face looks pretty and normal to others but when she looks into a mirror, she sees herself like that and that is the reason as to why she broke all the mirrors around her. I think that while she consumed children souls to keep herself young forever, she actually turned herself into a monster which can only be seen through mirrors.
I mean if i was younger my mind is just "you need to be alive" no nothin Rather than sacrifice myself (especially in their world) But really isn't sacrifice is a thing you learn when you get older :v? When you were a child you rarely gon sacrifice yourself, right? Or am i just really weird : Eh just my opinion-
Magic is definitely and interesting concept within Little Nightmares. It seems only few beings posses magical abilities, such as the Lady, Butler, and Mono. We can assume that magic simply comes naturally to some of these figures, though it is said that the Lady learned her magic from the many spell books within the residential quarters of the Maw. Purely magic base entities such as the North Wind feed off of actual living beings, similar to the Lady, though she is human. That seems like a reoccurring theme. Most power, at least dark power, is derived from the essence of living beings. This can be clearly seen with the guests of the Maw or Six and the Lady. But we have seen magic that is not derived from Darkness, such as the Butler, who seems to have the natural ability to levitate and move objects with his intellect. But his hands are seen locked into place, which must mean that this has been done as a sort of punishment or that he cannot use his abilities to their fullest potential.
Six is a victim who turned into a half-villain due to the tragedy's and the suffering she went through. She takes that on mono and however stand in her way through her journey trying to stop the signal. This little girl has a traumatized life and as I said she takes it on everyone else because she thinks everyone is out to get her. That's why in Little Nightmares1 she absorbs the lady' power and sucks the life out of the residence who come to eat. So basically six is a VICTIM who has a extreme amount of hatred which is normal in the real world. So yeah SIX IS A VICTIM through my perspective.
Everyone surprised that mono is the thin man. Me who is wondering how the chair and his clothes grew with him. And also if you notice this there is a hat which is similar to the thin man in the hats collection
In case it's a genuine question: the tower is able to mutate matter like that, or rather, everything inside the tower might very well not be real. It was just a few minutes ago that Mono was surrounded by pulsating flesh, it was only when he sat down and grabbed his head in fear that everything formed into an empty room. Just like Mono was able to form the city when battling the Thin Man, I think Mono is able to form everything around him as he grows up, but at the same time I think the tower made him lose himself in the process until Mono was gone and the Thin Man remained.
What if Mono (young Mono, not the Thin Man) is actually the "villain"? Hear me out... I've heard a lot of theories that Mono feels betrayed and is doomed into a repeating cycle, trying to stop his younger self from falling victim to the same betrayal, and my theory isn't too different aside from one key detail. I think Mono's Nightmare isn't about being betrayed, but about having been the traitor, about being stuck in a cycle of regret and wishing he could change what once happened. The Thin Man/Old Mono has every opportunity to end Six, to stop the cycle, to prevent ever being betrayed, but instead Six is found in the Tower, happy nonetheless, comforted by the one thing that Mono knew comforted Six and the very object associated with bringing them together in the first place. Note that Old Mono only gives chase when Young Mono is with Six, and upon approaching the Tower, Old Mono stands between them, perhaps not trying to specifically defeat Young Mono but actually attempting to DEFEND Six. It is possible in line with this theory that Six's transformation in the tower is either the doing of Old Mono trying to make up or even rewrite his own memory to create a fantasy in which Six is happy and safe forever but can only manage to form a mangled parody of the crushing reality that she wasn't, or that Six appeared alien to Mono because she had undergone a personal change such as maturing/losing innocence in a way that Mono had not yet experienced himself. This could even explain why the dark effects happen when Six dons the raincoat, as if her link to another time and place without Mono inspired a maelstrom of negativity and vulnerability, jealousy, longing, fear, as Six has experienced things that Mono or anyone else will never be able to understand without having 'been' Six and that makes Mono feel distant from her. As we know, when Mono finds Six in the Tower, she is content for the most part and even remains friendly towards Mono. Mono can even try to attack her and she will ultimately brush it off (or in this case literally brush Mono off, because she is the bigger person now, literally and figuratively) and let Mono stay with her in her safe place. However Mono goes beyond this, rejecting who Six is, rejecting what she feels, trying to change her back against her will. Even if Six wasn't in her right mind, ultimately wanting to return to how she was before, the fact that Mono still hurt Six lingers, there is no going back from that even if they both want to, especially since the depth of the pain had Six reeling in terror and rage at Mono's call to her, they couldn't be around each other again without remembering that pain. And by the look of things, in the short time Mono and Six have after their fight, Six does not seem happy or grateful about what has just happened. Mono tries to hold on, to cling to what they once had, but Six has to make the decision to let go. Mono is left all alone once again in his already lonely life (if the comic and some paintings depicting Mono are any indication), and without resolution he is trapped, ruminating and even obsessing over his own actions that drove Six and Mono apart, as is known to happen with this kind of trauma, or people who 'lose their innocence too soon' as the developers once put it. That would possibly also explain Mono's affinity with the Broadcast, specifically the televisions that everyone becomes metaphorically glued to, perhaps they act quite literally as windows into the past, the realm of fantasy and memory. By all means perhaps not a perfect or evidence-driven theory, but I hadn't seen any theories like this out there as of yet and wanted to contribute my own ruminations on this brilliant work of nuanced storytelling and cosmic horror that is Little Nightmares. Oh and don't get me started on my theories of the secret society of the Downturned Eye, responsible for the study and possible conjuration of the Eldritch machinations or the Nightmare itself. I give partial credit for this theory to the song "Avatar - Tower" that got me thinking down this path, the song fits surprisingly well with the Little Nightmares II narrative. Thank you very much for your theory videos!
Lending some potential evidence to my theory, the number 6 is faintly drawn upon the dream door where the Thin Man resides. True, this could simply be something of a subtle warning depending on how much control the Thin Man has over the Tower, but given its subtlety it seems more like a sign than a warning. It's as if the hallway itself is memory lane, maybe even indicating that he has memories of 2-5 as well (with Mono being 1), and Mono is walking (or running) it all the way up to his present where he struggles to come to grips with the reality of the memories as well as letting them go. On a sidenote, it might be possible that the hanged man we see in Little Nightmares 1 is actually the Thin Man, which would be a very dark turn for this theory. Alternatively, since in the Little Nightmares 1 DLC and around the Maw we see drawings of the Thin Man and even a television which turns on and reveals his unmistakable visage, it could mean that Mono is still out there, trying to get back in touch with Six. Maybe there could be a happy ending after all?
God that’s a lot of reading but worth it! I agree with the most of it, and I guess you can say Mono is sorta the villain. He drives Six to drop him so he made himself become the thin man. Him driving Six to drop him ultimately leads to the happenings of LN (1). Maybe if Mono did do things differently him and Six could have helped or destroyed the horrible world that is LN.
That’s true but mono was also a survivor but also a hero but whit six she couldn’t choose a side and decided to turn to the dark side while mono tried to head to the light. Six didn’t try heading towards the light she purposely went towards the dark knowing it most likely would end whit her becoming a monster. Mono would have stayed that pure child and helped others breaking the loop and fixing the world if six didn’t drop him breaking his heart his mind and his soul. All he felt was betrayal loneliness and sadness while being stuck in the signal tower.
@@muffiech270 and how do u know she was normal and also if u look at mono he has experienced more deaths if u look at comic 6 and he hasn’t matured he was only 9 or 10 and he is living in the same world and he was nicer
This is such a good theory! And to prove your theory on that the children are not affected by the tv signals is the fact that all the kids from the school that are being taught to follow the signals aren’t real almost as if they were made to follow the signals because the reals ones won’t!
I can't ignore the fact that Six did some twisted things along the game that has nothing to do with surviving, like breaking the fingers of one of the hands in the hospital while waiting for Mono, or sitting in front of the incinerator while the doctor was burning inside alive (also eating a nome in the first game) But talking about the end I just see her decision was logical. Because the first betrayal was made by Mono. And even with that she hesitated before letting him go. She's not a villain but she is a complicated character
I don't think anyone deserves the cruel fate of being a part of the world of little nightmares. Like seriously. If you are a child: -eaten -crushed by decaying buildings -turned into souless husks -eaten alive -warped into a monster to suffer -EATEN ALIVE If you are an adult: -warped into a hideous and corrupted creature -Fed to more powerful forces like the lady -bound in servitude at the More or Nest -Assimilated into flesh tower -forced to repeat the duties of your profession monotonously with no purpose (teacher) -Forced to survive off of the lifeforce of children while being manipulated by other forces yourself -murdered by the child you were trying to kill -E A T E N A L I V E
That, and when Six pulls him out of the TV and sees the Thin Man coming, she immediately urges Mono to flea, but he still gets beckoned to the TV anyway. By the time Thin Man I'd breaking through, Mono locks up in pain, and Six is confused and forced to run out first. It's a really interesting sequence when you just focus on Six.
9:59 That suitcase on the left is very very similar to the one six wakes up in in the first game. The positioning of the pictures and the way theyre taped on is also identical. Though the pictures themselves are very distant, from what I can see they have the same images on them. ALthough, the one here is a lot more battered, and the handle is further up than on the one in the first game.
One thing i noticed is that Six during the game has been extremely vengeful towards anything that attacked her, shooting the hunter, attacking the porcelain student and watching the doctor burning. In the ending it looks like Six was going to help Mono, she coud have notice the semblance between him and the Thin Man and dropped him.
I want to point out that Mono didn't really "choose" not to help Six from the Thin Man; if you look at him under the bed he is holding his head, probably his ears, because the Thin Man is so close to him thus giving off that horrible screeching feedback noise that clearly affects Mono much more than anyone else. So I don't think Mono wanted to hide instead of help Six, I think he was in too much pain to reach out to her. Just speculation and my opinion but something to mull over.
The fact Mono broke the only thing that she had as confront the music box shoot if someone did that to me and I don't trust them I can see six's view and she will always be a character I enjoy everyone has darkness doesn't make them a villian it makes them close the world around them
@TheExtrovertedBee Yes, I do understand trauma having gone through my own share of it. And just because I have it, doesn’t mean I shouldn’t take responsibility if said trauma causes me to lash out at others. This doesn’t discount my trauma, but I still need to be able to manage it in a healthy way that doesn’t negatively effect the people around me. If one isn’t careful, trauma can breed more trauma, which is the last thing anyone wants. In this case, Six allowed her trauma to get the better of her and in turn sacrificed one of the few good people in her life.
@@grimscratch5243 Not so sure about that. For all intents and purposes, was that large music box even real? If it was that important to her, why didn’t she take the one she was in possession of back at the Hunter’s Cabin? She abandoned it without a second thought and made no indication of wanting to return for it. What’s stopping her from going back to the cabin now and reclaiming it? As far as we know, that one was never broken.
Six can be seen as being vengeful and catching Mono only to get the chance to look him in the eyes before she leaves him to die, I just wish there was the secret option to attempt to help Six when the Thin Man comes.
Great vid as always. Btw I have a few questions about The Forest arc (also The Hospital arc) in LN2: 1. Why did The Hunter captured Six and locked her in the room but did not kill Six instantly? Does Six have something or an agreement that makes The Hunter imprisoning instead of killing her? (We all know what The Hunter is a soulless and cruel character. Or he imprisoned Six to give her to The Lady?). I think that the Hunter has a close relationship with the Maw also The Lady. 2. Why there is a woman dead body hung up on the ceiling in the attic? Why there is a Nome in the attic too? Who brought the Nome to the Pale City? (or The Lady once came to visit the Pale City 🤔?) 3. Why the Doctor both chase Six and Mono but trying to catch Mono only? Do you think the Hunter and the Doctor have any relationship with each other? (Maybe the Doctor is the one who fix the Hunter right arm? 'Cause I've seen some mannequin body parts in Hunter's attic similar to those mannequins in the hospital)
I liked that every comment some of them are talking about the theories...about mono got betrayed...some of them still want to defending six that its not her fault... For me is...I LOVE MONO AND SIX (cuz they're my fav caracter) They put a lot of hate towards six and it breaks my heart into pieces so much....dont they know that six was in control by the shadow six from the secret ending??? she looks very tired about it tho....when the shadow six dissappear.... I think mono and six have the same endless time loop....mono become the thin man and six become the lady...and they got killed by their child self...over and over...and over again....so endless...thats very sad....one of them got killed by their child self who have the power and one of them got EATEN and absorbed their power by their child self who were very hungry... And they didnt even notice that six is trying to stop mono every time from opening the door where the thin man was waiting...for that all of this wouldnt happened.....but mono was so curious of whats behind the door... SIX IS TRYING TO SAVE MONO YALL!! They should notice too...that mono is collecting hats and six is collecting masks you all know why their collecting hats and masks because thats what they will become. hats is for the thin man and masks is for the lady...thats what they will become when they grow up. what? Some of you says that six is not the lady because she become the monster like that blind man from the first game?? NO she IS THE LADY (there is so much evidence ya know) that monster six is still a child still listening to the music box until mono destroyed it Monster six is still a child y'know that When she got angry..she started to hit/smashing the floor like they're toys is taken away from them or someone is trying to break it (the music box seems like very important to her and she really naving a good peaceful time on her own like she want it to keep it that way and also she seem like dont need someone to save her) after tbe music box was destroyed...six look at mono in a cold hearted way filled with hatred Me be like: "why are you staring at me like that? ;-; is it because i destroyed your music box??? then im so sorry pls dont be mad at me ;D" And then the ending got me very silent ;-; But STILL i love mono and six 😀😀😀😁😁😁 I have no hate towards them at all because i enjoyed the game so much!!! I hope in LN3 their will end the time loop :D Edit: six will become the lady and runs the maw but very different like...the NEW lady or the sixth lady??? Idk
@Annoying Dog i didnt know that the lady was obsessed with beauty and make up 😂😂😂😅 the lady wears a mask and theres no one can see her face tho 👀👀👀 Only her..can see her face all alone....she was worried and scared that someone will call her ugly She never tell everybody about her face..thats why she's wearing a mask Six have the music box and the lady was humming the same tune when she was all alone by herself but slower Did you know that six always listen the music box in the room by herself? Yeah that's right!! The lady did that too!!! 😃😃😃 Both of them seems comfortable with it! they feel very safe and peace 😁😁 one of them enjoys listening the music and one of them are humming 😀😀😀 I think all they want is to be in peace and no chaos at all.. BUT if you disturb them while they're having a good time.... you know what gonna happens next right? they KILL you ;-; just like in the game ;-;
Agreed. I dislike it when people judge her based on Mono's perspective only. But we never actually know her past and her side of the story. But meh, even in real life most people love to judge without hearing both sides of the story so it didn't surprise me.
Still it’s six’s fault for dropping mono causing mono to be “forced”to help the signal tower which is the reason why the world is like this and in signal tower time must’ve gone differently which means she would understand stuff more
Maybe Dark Six is a representation of the childlike self that Six left behind, the shadow turned it’s head in disgust that Six was taking matters into her own hands without thinking about the consequences of her actions. Guilt follows you everywhere, it stalks Six like a shadow staring back at you in the first Little Nightmares. The self that she’s desperately trying to leave behind as it can only watch on from the darkness.
Cool ideas, for me Six always seemed almost entirely instinctual; eating the Nome when the hunger is too bad, taking help only when it's needed, very little loyalty, having to be reminded to help Mono the first time as she was going to just wander off after he did the bridge for her etc. In the Signal Tower it's about the same only her small perspective is even smaller and she's like an actual animal version of herself, attacking blindly when disturbed etc. I kind of assumed if she wasn't all there during that sequence then when she's "normal" again, her memory isn't of being saved but of Mono messing with her and hurting her, she's got almost no time to process and it's not like Mono explained what was happening so she's rushing and confused - really great story-telling to let us personalize the story in our understanding 🙏
the reason six was acting like a bish was because when thin man took her through the tv, that black glitchy six was actually her soul. After it was removed, she stopped feeling all emotion and un satisfiable hunger.
My theory if you bother readimg it: The hunter is the true hero of this story. Maybe somehow he knew that Six is a threat to world so he imprisioned her. And the music box is made by him to keep Six distracted from escaping. The reason why I think he made the music box is that in the world of little nightmares, there isn't anyone who has a gun or even any mentioned of guns in the game so maybe he has the engineering skills to make a gun and those bear traps, like how on earth can you find or buy that many bear traps. So maybe give my man Hunter some credit here also we don't really know that he is really dead or not so there could be a chance that he will be in the third game and give us explanations why he got Six imprisioned.
the idea that part of why six let go of mono's hand at the end being because she recognized him as the thin man is absolutely how i read the moment when i played it also the scene where six gets trapped under the rubble and has to be rescued by mono is such a strange one... to me it really feels like six should've died there, and the moment between them was mono being like "woah, how are you alive?" lol
When Mono tried to save Six from the T.V. he covers his eyes with his head down as if in shame, he may have felt bad he couldn't help her. He does it in the tower when he is trapped there.
Six has 'survive syndrome ' it's a form of PTSD. People with survive syndrome having grown up in a environment where they are to be self-reliant, always fight for their hunger and rights, always the strongest wins. People with this disability kill other one if it is for their own benefit without remorse. They also will betray their friends and family for their own benefit. People like this don't do those things because of evilness, but because they really think it is good. Their motto is 'always save yourself first'. Their survival mode wil always be activated even if they life in an safe space. People with this can also have other personality traits like narcissism, pathological layer, kleptomania, antisocial and borderline.
@@nikitas1841 I just said that cause people put a blame on her , through out the game I can clearly see the bond between them tighten but every time six got captured mono didn’t make it in time especially when thin man take her away six seek out for help but mono was too scared to do so, consider that six also think she got betrayed plus when she got a clear look at mono’s face

@@nikitas1841 Dude people are just hard fan boys for her so they don’t want to see it from Mono’s point of view of this. How in the hell could he do anything to save her when he was getting affected by the the Thinman.
The reason she dropped Mono was paranoia, because she didn’t want him to die by her later. There’s an achievement called “It’s crueler to let him live.” That was her thoughts when she dropped Mono, she didn’t want to but she had to or else Mono would get eaten by her, even if she let Mono live and they went to the maw together she definitely would’ve ate him early on. In my opinion she’s a victim, because a giant part of her character is that she’s the survivor, and she’s lived long enough to become villain. It’s a balance and it wasn’t out of her control, she just tried to let Mono have an easier death.

Hi
Awesome Theory it makes sense 👏 edit: Hmmm I wonder who grew up to become the lady and also the girl with the yellow rain coat on before six might sixs sister? 🤔
I was pretty sure Six was evil the moment she ate that nome in the first game. But, it's a world controlled and corrupted by evil through-and-through, so... I just really view her as a survivor. More "Neutral Evil".
This makes so much sense but I still can’t decide if I think she’s nice or bad
Edit: I think she’s nice cause this theory makes so much sense
"Welp ..I don't need that ,die."
why do little nightmares characters have such weird eyes. six eyes look traumatized and monos eyes are literally black
@@femylin Maybe it's a metaphor because that's all they see and feel. Six with her traumatized pass and Mono being scared of the unknown dark and loneliness. As in saying normally looking into a child's eyes all you see is pure innocence, but in their case it's gone.
@@femylin If you look at Mono's offcial model with the correct lighting. Mono's eyes look completely normal.
I just want a good wholesome ending where six and mono holding hands and walking out... is that too much to ask for?
same😭
I wanted a secret ending where if you hold her hand long enough throughout the game she doesn't betray you in the end
@@n1kx579 that would be cool
@@n1kx579 I was thinking that too, I wondered if the ending determined the bond and a secret ending was how you played ❤💔
@@n1kx579 Sadly data miners found no such thing. So, the ending, six always throw mono back to the abyss
Yeah but he released her from her fear
He wanted to help her he wasn’t wrong for helping his friend he just wanted to help people he just wanted to be happy he just wanted to not be alone again.
This needs more likes.
The fear of being alone is monophobia which also ties into Mono's name
Wow i didnt realise cheers mate!
I don't think it really is connected to monophobia in particular because a lot of names have "mono" in it. It is just to say he is alone because this is what mono mean:"One"
13:29 “Time is broken, we don’t know how long she’s been in there for”
That is such a good point.
Possible! Almost like she was very close to being healed but she chose the darkness instead.
This is my headcanon now--
Also because it makes so much sense to me, knowing Six has been through quite a lot having to heal so quickly might come as a shock
Wow nice idea u got there!
I've never played the game but seeing from other you tubers play it it does make sense to what was happening
Amen!
Exactly
Yes. We don't really know her past and her side of the story. So it's unfair to judge when we only see her through other's perpective. I wonder what did Thin Man do to her when she was abducted.
Ikr. I feel really bad for Mono and Six with all the things they've been through. They were victims in a cruel world.
Yeah I like this interpretation too.
I like this theory but since the devs said its a sequel I don't really believe it...but it makes sense though!
@@Mewos-l8z
I don’t get this notion- people keep claiming that it’s a confirmed sequel and yet when pressed, are never able to produce any statement of such

Plus, if you look closely, she's hesitant before leaving, holds her face as if trying to hold in tears, and doesn't particularly walk away immediately as if she's proud of possibly killing someone she was closest to.
Prolly cause she felt betrayed and had to keep moving forward on her own but can agree about not feeling proud of the decision
Oh yes that's a good point!
@@iammeltedvengence1234 this theory sounds good but....something is off...
Yes exactly! These are kids, Six’s own description states she has been through more than most kids.

i see six, mono and everyone in this would as a victim
as the world's system benefits only the single tower at the expense of 99.9999999% of people
Six got ripped in 2, mono became a lonely slave and the viewers are just food for the tower it self while all of this happens in an endless loop

Maybe because she was in that realm, and ended up turning into a huge creature due to her insecurities and the representation of them in physical for, a part of that follows her when she turned back normal
Actually, I don't know if this sounds stupid, but maybe that's all the creatures are like; they become warped and shaped into a physical version of their desires, insecurities, etc.
The entire six's mindset in one sentence: " Fine, I'll do it myself!"
REALLY
I say she is both the Villain and Victim
I agree
so true
The similarity is shocking.
there are a lot of “villains” that are victims of something
If six is a villain I believe mono is tho
I understand Six's point of view. I was upset of what she did to mono, but what you said in this video really makes sense. I'm just really sad how good of a relationship Six and Mono grew and they just lost it.
I suppose the overall theme of the entire series goes something along the lines of "Terrible lead to terrible things because humans are terrible"
You understand the point of view of a child who is hungry for power, selfish, Traitor, and evil. right 😐😐
Hey I had a similar thought on this!

She kept herself safe and calm from the eyes monster surrounding her... until Mono breaks her safe space (trance)... again

Assuming six was even sane in that form (her more negative traits were highly exaggerated after all).
@@DLxxx True she could have been teetering on the edge. Also if you don’t smash the music box and just explore the room and call out to her, she doesn’t attack you. All these comments made me shed tears. I really want to hug Six and listen to everything she's been through.
What did the hunter and thin man do to her when she was abducted? What happened in the past that made her refuse to remember any of the memories? Why was she suffering with hunger pain?

This theory is making me feel so upset for six. I know she betrayed mono but I feel like this video explains so much to why she may have done this in the first place.
I've always wondered what Six was thinking when she betrayed Mono. I believed that she might have a justified reason why she did it.
He asked the king to where he brought the slaves and what he did to them,
He simply answered, they work in the palace’s grounds as his wards and caretakers, gave them food and shelter and far from abuse.
He retorted, “you liar!”
And striked the kings head off with one swoop.
I feel like we cant really answer this question until we know about six and her background
The farthest back we can go with six is at the nest and we dont even know why or how shes there (we don't even know if the short haired ggirl is really her since all the children in this world look exactly the same)
Besides so far six has grown up in a world where it is quite literally eat or be eaten. its probably hard to trust or show kindness to someone after that
In the official art we see her haircut and no other character has the same haircut as her and her haircut looks the same as the kid in the nest

3:25 when he said headaches mono literally pointed a flashlight in her face XD
I'm glad you made a video from Six's perspective. Both of 'em are poor kids stuck in this world.

So it could be too ridiculous if she dropped him because she is.. well.. scary bitc.
Some people theorize the reason of betrayal is because Mono looks like thin man, or whatever but I am not sure. there were many hat skins that can see his face long time ago, you know

In her mind Mono"turned his back on her" there is no complex reason to it
throughout the game u see she is super vindictive and rotten
And Mono opened Thin Man's door and let Six get taken by him
So he took it well literally as a betrayal
I also really hope we get dlc maybe
@@my2randomcents We didn't even know what happened when thin man kidnapped six. She also tried to escape from thin man. ( When mono saw six hands at TV.) Maybe she saw something hint that mono was thin man.
I know dropping ur friend into what is worse than death won’t hurt them
If you’ve seen the datamining video that shows Mono’s face as he ages into the Thin Man, you can see that Mono as a child looks absolutely nothing like the Thin Man.
They have a very clear thing in common: all-black eyes. And no one else has it.
I just realized that Six trying to break the loop by get mono out from TV
Theory: dark six is the girl in the raincoat, therefore the secret ending isn’t growing up, it’s fear.
Interesting theory
Wow😯this is such an intriguing take!
this would make sense IF context didn't exist.

Fanfact- There is no villain but someone who can’t control their hate
Six is a victim who turned into a half-villain due to the tragedy's and the suffering she went through. She takes that on mono and however stand in her way through her journey trying to stop the signal. This little girl has a traumatized life and as I said she takes it on everyone else because she thinks everyone is out to get her. That's why in Little Nightmares1 she absorbs the lady' power and sucks the life out of the residence who come to eat. So basically six is a VICTIM who has a extreme amount of hatred which is normal in the real world. So yeah SIX IS A VICTIM through my perspective.
Everyone surprised that mono is the thin man.

mutation maybe?
Finally, someone who notices that Mono's clothes and chair are growing with him!!!🤣😂😂🤣🤣🤣
I was wonderign that too, but then again there was plenty of clothes just scattered around
I also had see that the chere was growing
Holy smokes an underrated article
@@NevikTheStoryteller I really love this theory. I feel Sad for both Mono and Six the world they live in is tragic :(
God that’s a lot of reading but worth it! I agree with the most of it, and I guess you can say Mono is sorta the villain. He drives Six to drop him so he made himself become the thin man. That’s true but mono was also a survivor but also a hero but whit six she couldn’t choose a side and decided to turn to the dark side while mono tried to head to the light. Six didn’t try heading towards the light she purposely went towards the dark knowing it most likely would end whit her becoming a monster.
She's not a villain but she is a complicated character
thank you! i’m so tired of everyone of everyone assuming she is evil. to me, she is just a survivor of serve childhood trauma
yeah ikr!
But still see dropped him out of survival for her own need so thats selfish but I understand.
still, don't think Mono deserves to be betrayed by Six.

-crushed by decaying buildings
-turned into souless husks
-eaten alive
-warped into a monster to suffer

If you are an adult:
-warped into a hideous and corrupted creature
-Fed to more powerful forces like the lady
-bound in servitude at the More or Nest
-Assimilated into flesh tower
-forced to repeat the duties of your profession monotonously with no purpose (teacher)
-Forced to survive off of the lifeforce of children while being manipulated by other forces yourself

Ohhh I didn’t notice that when the tall man came for six, she reached for mono and mono ducked his head and hides/doesn’t want to watch.

She's been through lots of trauma and she's also *9 YEARS OLD.* I reckon regardless of what she ends up doing, she's a victim.
What if Six is The Lady. I mean The Lady hums the same tune as Six's music box.
No she doesn’t...?
Perhaps?
GamingwithIzo AJ she does
Imagine The Lady vs Thin Man, I wonder who would come out on top
Lol no,,,,,unless?
I want to point out that Mono didn't really "choose" not to help Six from the Thin Man; if you look at him under the bed he is holding his head, probably his ears, because the Thin Man is so close to him thus giving off that horrible screeching feedback noise that clearly affects Mono much more than anyone else. So I don't think Mono wanted to hide instead of help Six, I think he was in too much pain to reach out to her. Just speculation and my opinion but something to mull over.
I just wanna say: I love her and no one can change my mind.
Thank you so so much for addressing Six's character and mental state, it's so important and im sick of people ignoring it
She may be a victim of her circumstances, but the moment she allowed her trauma to harm others, she became a villain.
Yes facts
Tru tru
The fact Mono broke the only thing that she had as confront the music box shoot if someone did that to me and I don't trust them I can see six's view and she will always be a character I enjoy everyone has darkness doesn't make them a villian it makes them close the world around them
@TheExtrovertedBee
Yes, I do understand trauma having gone through my own share of it.
@@grimscratch5243
Not so sure about that.
Absolutely agree with you, that's what i think about why six didn't save mono.
Great vid as always. Btw I have a few questions about The Forest arc (also The Hospital arc) in LN2:
(or The Lady once came to visit the Pale City 🤔?)
3:58 six is in survival mode
Ending of the game : six is in CREATIVE MODE.
I liked that every comment some of them are talking about the theories...about mono got betrayed...some of them still want to defending six that its not her fault...
For me is...I LOVE MONO AND SIX (cuz they're my fav caracter)
They put a lot of hate towards six and it breaks my heart into pieces so much....dont they know that six was in control by the shadow six from the secret ending??? she looks very tired about it tho....when the shadow six dissappear....
They should notice too...that mono is collecting hats and six is collecting masks
you all know why their collecting hats and masks because thats what they will become.
hats is for the thin man and masks is for the lady...thats what they will become when they grow up.
what? Some of you says that six is not the lady because she become the monster like that blind man from the first game??
NO
she IS THE LADY (there is so much evidence ya know)
that monster six is still a child still listening to the music box until mono destroyed it
Monster six is still a child y'know that
When she got angry..she started to hit/smashing the floor like they're toys is taken away from them or someone is trying to break it (the music box seems like very important to her and she really naving a good peaceful time on her own like she want it to keep it that way and also she seem like dont need someone to save her)
after tbe music box was destroyed...six look at mono in a cold hearted way filled with hatred
Me be like: "why are you staring at me like that? ;-; is it because i destroyed your music box??? then im so sorry pls dont be mad at me ;D"
And then the ending got me very silent ;-;
But STILL
i love mono and six 😀😀😀😁😁😁
I have no hate towards them at all because i enjoyed the game so much!!!
I hope in LN3 their will end the time loop :D
Edit: six will become the lady and runs the maw but very different like...the NEW lady or the sixth lady??? Idk
Six becoming the lady is somehow unfitting, the lady is obsessed with beauty while Six is hunger. Also Six didn't really close with the make up thing.
@Annoying Dog
i didnt know that the lady was obsessed with beauty and make up 😂😂😂😅 the lady wears a mask and theres no one can see her face tho 👀👀👀
Only her..can see her face all alone....she was worried and scared that someone will call her ugly
She never tell everybody about her face..thats why she's wearing a mask
Six have the music box and the lady was humming the same tune when she was all alone by herself but slower
Did you know that six always listen the music box in the room by herself? Yeah that's right!!
The lady did that too!!! 😃😃😃
Both of them seems comfortable with it! they feel very safe and peace 😁😁
one of them enjoys listening the music and one of them are humming 😀😀😀
I think all they want is to be in peace and no chaos at all..
BUT if you disturb them while they're having a good time....
you know what gonna happens next right?
they KILL you ;-;
just like in the game ;-;
Agreed. I dislike it when people judge her based on Mono's perspective only. But we never actually know her past and her side of the story. But meh, even in real life most people love to judge without hearing both sides of the story so it didn't surprise me.
Still it’s six’s fault for dropping mono causing mono to be “forced”to help the signal tower which is the reason why the world is like this and in signal tower time must’ve gone differently which means she would understand stuff more
@@violetskye7422 yeahh
Maybe Dark Six is a representation of the childlike self that Six left behind, the shadow turned it’s head in disgust that Six was taking matters into her own hands without thinking about the consequences of her actions.
Guilt follows you everywhere, it stalks Six like a shadow staring back at you in the first Little Nightmares. The self that she’s desperately trying to leave behind as it can only watch on from the darkness.
I actually thought that the shadow was the real Six and the one in LN1 was actually soulless
Well if you wanted to take the idea a bit more directly then yeah that could very much be the case.
I think it's safe to say that all children (and people in general) are neither a villain/bad or hero/good; they are both
Cool ideas, for me Six always seemed almost entirely instinctual; eating the Nome when the hunger is too bad, taking help only when it's needed, very little loyalty, having to be reminded to help Mono the first time as she was going to just wander off after he did the bridge for her etc.
The man couldn’t of taken a full force double barrel shotgun shot to the chest he is as good as desd
The real hero is leech and nome
It might have been terrible what she did to Mono, but she is no villain. She's a tragedy if anything.
the idea that part of why six let go of mono's hand at the end being because she recognized him as the thin man is absolutely how i read the moment when i played it
also the scene where six gets trapped under the rubble and has to be rescued by mono is such a strange one... to me it really feels like six should've died there, and the moment between them was mono being like "woah, how are you alive?" lol
Six save mono alot , and people only care when she drop mono
Saving someone doesn't outweigh letting said someone die.
