This style of MOB farm is super easy to build & has absolutely fantastic rates. Even at a medium size, 4 platform, single farm; per hour it produces around 29 stacks of rockets (10 stacks of gunpowder), 3 double chests of non-stackables, & 80 stacks of stackable mob drops. You could always build it smaller & have lower rates, OR! build up to 4 farms with 8 platforms each, to increase the rates even more! I hope you enjoy!!!

I would agree most creeper only farms are click bait. With 1.21 those farms are now useless. As for building over an ocean is based on sim distance. Keep in mind there is a big with observers that lit dust and campfires will cause the observer to fire when loaded. To prevent this I recommend power rails.
Also you can use frost walker to prevent taking damage from the magma block.

I knew observers would trigger on load atm even without chunk borders. But didn't know it was from the dust!!! Tysm good to know!
I made a creeper farm, it was ok but it was only gunpowder and required me to get a bunch of cats.
Then I decided to make a normal mob farm and it was a bit better on the gunpowder and I also go every other mob drop. Creeper farms are definitely pointless.
@@J0seph_Mother I had a similar experience haha took the time to build a creeper only, then realised it got less gp than my regular mob farm xD

For a really good and efficient creeper farm you can look up mikehomer's creeper farm it produces around 8k gunpowder per hour at sim4 which is the maximum I've ever seen

Love the video my guy, loving the farming series, there aren't enough legitimate bedrock farm tutorials, I'd love to see a video about villager trades and how to get desired/optimal trades

I can do that! Basically just breaking & replacing the workstation over & over. But for high lever trades it's; killing the villager over and over T.T
What I do if I want like all golden carrot trades for example, is make way more farmers than I actually need. So rather than trading, killing, & waiting for a new one to grow; I can trade with them all, then just get rid of the ones who suck X]
Have they fully added the villager nerfs yet? I can never remember..

I wanna test the 4x 8 layer farms to abuse mob dencity to an extent. But that's allot of work just for a test ngl XD
Nice! I had fun designing mine, it doesn't get quite these rates but I was using farms I already had in the realm. These crafters are fun to play with.

Like they should only craft items for the slots that are unlocked.. Should automatically make the item when it has the mats.. or better yet just have a crafting table UI. Then we could just select the item we want it to craft, so that we don't need to organize the input at all lolol. Even them pooping the item out on the floor if the container is full is really silly & sad... But oh wellll it is what it is. They are still cool & fancy none the less! :D

Have to have a special item loader so things are loaded in the correct order. Then a section to have it trigger itself to craft, but only when it's ready & never become empty!
& finally a section to turn it off if it gets full so it doesn't waste items.... lmaoaoao so much nonsense when it doesn't need to be XD Ends up being like 5x5x5 just to craft a few rockets XDD or like 10x10x10 if u wanna autocraft the paper too lmaoaoao crazy stuff. At least it looks kinda fancy when you're done >.> but makes it really hard to tutorial out in a cohesive way lolol
@OmLedu the size is the main part that gets at me. The fact that it takes some figuring, though, will keep guys like us in video ideas for quite some time.

@@jhhhhy38 short answer: max size is about 8 layers up, & 4x of the farm. 1 in each direction, 23 or 24 blocks from the afk spot.
Long answer:
The reason I say 'about' 8 layers is, I can't remember the exact curvature of the spawning radius. Mobs spawn 24-44 away from the player, but in a circular area not a square. If you want me to figure out the curvature for exact max expansion, lmk & I will. However at a 4 layer farm it was hitting the hostile mob cap & creeper cap with very few pauses between caps. That means 8 layers should basically keep it at max density. So the gain provided from having more than 8 would be negligible, especially if you build multiple farms in the area.
The biggest increase it spawns would come from breaking up mob density. When a spawn is triggered the game checks 4 chunks in each direction from the chunk that has the spawn, for mob density. With the kill chambers being 65 blocks apart (depending on where chunk borders are) the back half of each farm should ignore the kill chamber & back half of the opposite farm.
Creeper cap is 5, with 1 4 layer farm there seemed to always be 2-4 spawned. So at 4x 8 layer farms I would estimate an approximate gain of 2 creepers for each. So 4x of the farm should gain somewhere around 3x the gp. (Just estimates, I havn't tested the super max size) just going off of the mechanics & the math with the 4 layer single farm as data lolol
@@OmLedu does the afk spot need to be the middle of all 4 farms or from the stoeage system?
@@jhhhhy38 Middle of all 4 farms. Where the kill chamber tube is. One of those 2 center blocks. So when ur on the afk spot, you'll be on the center of all 4 farms.
But really, even if you're off by a bit it will be okay. Especially with 4x 8 layers. If you afk too far in 1 direction, the spawn area lost will be gained somwhere else. As long as you are with 44 blocks of the backs of all 4 kill chambers.
& the reason I suggest the afk platform to be roughly aligned with the 2nd layer is to have a good amount of wiggle room, being 44 blocks from the back of each kill chamber. So if you want to wander around and do other stuff up there, none of the mobs will despawn as you move about.
Technically you could go higher with more layers, if you build the afk spot slightly higher to be perfectly aligned with the despawning range. Problem though goes back to, idk the exact curvature of the spawning circle off the top of my head haha.
Even then, the rates would only increase by a couple %, But would require much more work, more counting & precision, & would absolutely force being on the afk spot, nowhere else. If anything was off by even a block the 2% gain would turn into like a 25% loss

Tried to have a simple flexible answer, then a more precise detailed response after that.
I always build flexible designs, cause for me the 2-5% gain isn't worth not being able to wander around freely, do other things while I wait, build other farms nearby, etcetc. But! If you do want a non-flexible min-max version to gain those couple of %, hopefully that info will help!

@@Nick-c7t Nope! Can build it wherever. But above an ocean does improves the rates ever so slightly.
Basically because there are less blocks for the game to check for spawns.

Ill build a tiny on in my base. Then a big one at a sky farm. & even some at a mega build where ill be hanging out for a long time X]

@@Oliver-oq6sl Wait on the afk spot for a couple of mins and they will start.
If not, make sure there is no light or sunlight inside of the spawn platforms.
To recap spawn requirements:
Mobs spawn 24-44 blocks away from the player.
Any light will prevent spawns.
And no other mobs can be loaded within 44 blocks of the player in any direction, or the mob cap will prevent new ones from spawning
