- Hey guys n gals only 1 week away from my goal weight and the big 529 KG motor melt down. Today I melted a heap of old school door handle of whicgh I always thought were brass but happily they turned out to be zinc. I printed out a few Beskar bars and cast a heap of bars from them so sit back relax and enjoy todays video. 😁👍

HOW I MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

Only 1 week away from my biggest motor melt weighing in at 529 kg so hopefully I find a hell of a lot of copper in that big boy. Today I was quite surprised these handles were zinc and not brass but that was a welcome find as I have so much brass and not very much zinc . Fanmail at the end of the video as well so stick around if you're interested. One of the most honest TH-cam channels I watch. Trash to treasure... literally. A channel with *no verbal diarrhea coming from the creator*. Jesus, how did we all get so lucky?? 😂
That really takes me back, I haven't had a nice shop grown roof sausage since I was a kid spending summers with my grandparents. Sure, you can pick them up in some of the fancier stores these days, but they just don't taste the same.
So true...you can ALWAYS tell the ones grown from commercial roofs vs. home-grown

I've been watching since ~400kg, always thought if it was me, I'd get close to goal and then do a massive melt putting it so far past the goal, there is no other choice but setting a new goal. Seems like that is exactly that's going to happen. Super excited!
When I asked for Beskar bars I actually didn't think I would ever see it, 6:54am on a Friday and I get to start my day out with a smile. Thank you so much I love you work and thank you for the channel.

Got 115 kilos copper off the last one these one different models who knows if they’ll pay off . I just love the journey of pulling them to bits and weighing them then waiting for the prices to rise

Yes buddy I definitely have to agree. When I was small child I actually put our lawn sprinkler on the roof outside my bedroom window as we had a tin patio roof and I would turn that on at night to sleep too. Let’s just say my parents weren’t too happy when they found out six months later that I had been doing it on quite a regular basis😁👍🏻

It's cool that your rain bucket gets filled up all of the time. Pretty convenient to have handy when you need it, although you like your big ice blocks too.
That extendable ladder is awesome! And I'm always telling anyone about how your lumber sellers have drive through. That's brilliant. And, yes, the Star Wars movies are worth watching. Jarjar was a prequels character only. And please give Jarjar a break... he wasn't my favorite either but he was comic relief as needed and not everyone speaks the common language well.

I love melting zinc! One of my favorite metals to cast. I however have a programmable electric furnace where I can set the exact melting temperature and avoid the nasty white smoke and yellow oxide residue

Yeah we don’t like to plant them too often as the drop bears usually come in and grab them and not the little birds so you really gotta pick your times and make sure there’s no trees near the shed for the drop bears to get easy access👍🏻
