- The guys at Baumalight got in contact with pete and I and asked if we wanted to demo this new design of hotsaw head. It is a bit shorter but everything else it is bigger and better, with the steel used, hyd cylinders and valving and grab strrength and speed. pete was pretty happy in the first few hrs running it and we get a lot more hrs on it cutting cedar.

That is a pretty cool piece of quip Kev. U must have been having a bit of fun. Thanks for the demo!
I love watching this head work. I get caught up just watching it too
Baumalight picked a great content creator to represent their products.
I'm sure we will see lots of awesome footage.
Thanks Al. Going to try to get the best footage I can
@@SkidderKevHow much do they run in us$
Skidder kev is back at it again
Haha we sure are! Nice to be back in thr eoods
Guess I missed this one hope you have a great week
That's pretty cool.
It works pretty good
Hello Kev, That thing is a beast🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
It sure it's. Works awesome
Looks like it cuts great!
It works awesome
Pretty sweet rig! I need a skid!
Thanks Heath. It works very well. Skidsteers are so handy.
You get to review some really good stuff. That doesn't happen around here!
Ya this one is pretty cool. I feel very lucky that we get these opportunities and try to bring it to you and everyone that watches the best I can
Hi Kev!!😀😀
Too bad the new head dosen't have a side to side tilt on it. It would sure make it easier to cut the leaning trees.
Gremlins in a Fabtec can be a really troublesome thing. Good luck getting it figured out.
Take care my friend!!😀😀👍👍
Logger Al
Ya having tilt would be handy thats for sure. I really hope it's something silly that we are missing with the fabtek . The guy we have coming is really good with this stuff so hopefully he gets it fixed in no time.
How have you been?
@@SkidderKev hopefully you have one of the good guys that really knows his stuff with the fabtec.
I'm hanging in there. Dosen't look like I'm ever going to be able to go back to work. Covid did too much damage to my heart and lungs. So I just sit around and live vicariously through you guys. LOL!!
Take care buddy!!
Are the disc the same size? The new one looks wider but it maybe just the way the arms are on it! That cedar is thick as grass! Gonna be alot of mulch!😮😮
The disc is the same size but 1/4 inch thiner and made of ar400. Ya the cedar is very thick in spots but we will get it opened up and some more hardwoods will start regenerating in there.
Short but mighty …… we talking about equipment or you 😉
🤣
Hey Kevin , Do you happen to have a contact for your boss , I have a bush that could use some selective cutting done , Probably worth his time to look anyway 30 plus acres
thanks
Hey jordon. Send me a email (in the description) and we will get in contact that way. As add the area you are in and species of wood lot.

What is the max diameter for that head?
It can do 20" straight through but we have done bigger triple cutting. When you get into that big in hardwood it's more cut and push into a hole the tree is to big to pick and place with a skidsteer
looks like a awesome tool , how much do they go for in us$
I'm not a 100% sure on pricing. Your local baumalight dealer should be able too tho. They usually have pricing on there web site but this one is new so it's not there yet
Thanks Kev
I'll check em out
That shorter head has to nicer to see over
Ya it helps alot.
hate everything about those dam things!! nuts got one so i stopped watching him now you guys have one to that mean i have to stop you to or is it just a demmo?
Ummm...You have missed alot of great hand falling on Nuts channel because he has not used the cutter but a couple times well over a year ago!🙄
We have been running a hotsaw head for a few years now but we still do handfelling as well. Any time you can get a guy off the ground the safer it is. At the end of the day we all want to go home to our families. If we can us machines to do it safer then that's what we are going to do.
Like Wayne said, nuts has only used his a few times so you are missing some good stuff from him.
Dumbest comment I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m pretty sure I speak for everyone on here when I say DONT LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON YOUR WAY OUT
