Thanks! Great question that we should probably address in a longer form video. We made the logo because in our area there are legends on big foot. Obviously not your typical area you would think (central Pa) but we thought it was cool to incorporate.
I think TH-cam is reading my mind. I was literally just thinking about ordering a set of these for my Cat today and your video popped up 😂 that’s pretty cool you have that much motion. I can see where they’d be really handy in places a skidsteer isn’t ideal or just having one machine that can do more
Glad the video was informative. Yes this machine and adaptor is a killer combo, and serves all our needs currently on the homestead. Thanks for watching!
Yup that machine with the adaptor would allow you to reach exactly where you needed to go. We have 4200lb forks, but the machine is capable of a lot more.
@@NorleyFamilyFarms No, 4,000 lbs would tip you over even if you were all the way in! Maybe not right in front with the blade down, but I bet you are below 1,000 lbs. when you reach out.
I've had one of those for 3 years now and actually run a firewood processor with it and my 72" front end loader bucket and forks... Just adds ALOT of weight to the stick so you have to be very careful when transporting over the sides.
Most likely, a pallet of firewood isn't relatively that heavy depending on the size of machine you have. Check the weight rating of your machine at the distance you are trying to reach, but remember that it decreases fast the farther you reach!
@@wesman7837 Hey, Wes; thanks for the response. Since I made this post, I found a company that makes a tow-behind forklift that will lift 3500psi, which is more than enough moxy to handle what I'm working with. Be safe and blessed out there, Brother.
We have a kx040, been thinking of getting this. How much weight do you think it could lift off the ground? Not high but a 3k pound pallet lift and move? or take off a flatbed trailer?
We have forks rated for 4200lbs. The kx040 is rated to lift 4 tons or 4080lbs. We can pick up 3k off the back of a vehicle and set down. If you are just picking a pallet you shouldn’t have a problem. but obviously with the forks you wouldn’t be able to extend very far or high at that weight.
Hey do you have the part number for that ? Im looking on their website and they dont seem to list the kubota kx040-4 .......they only list the kx080 and kx121
Yeah, 4,200 lb. forks are WAY MORE than the machine can lift without tipping! I bet you can barely lift a 1ton pallet all the way in. Shingles and bricks would definitely tip you over!
Very useful attachment.
I’m curious about the back story of your channel logo. 😊

Never mind I finished watching your video lol I guess I should have watched the whole thing before I asked a question

Great video, thanks for the info!

Do you think you could use it to set things on a roof
Not likely, mini excavators don't reach very high. They are mostly built to dig down. A big excavator could though.
Curious if this setup could lift a full pallet of firewood off of a trailer? Similar to a Moffett setup.

Can you do a heavy load test?
Just added a short on our page doing a load test. Check it out. th-cam.com/users/shortsIws0lS0Nd10?si=vpfscobq1URwQe0Z
you could attached a forward facing grapple, that's pretty sweet
Could you just flip controls and it work like the bucket?
Yea that is probably possible but I have personally not tried to flip them.

What was the price on that bad boy?
The excavator or the attachment and forks?

@@NorleyFamilyFarms thank you! That went right on to your kx040-4 without any issues?
Sorry I copied the one above. Ours is the QA-KX121, I went and just double checked the unit itself. No issues with the 121.
I just ordered one today through my kubota dealer. $1776 and they will have it in a week. Thank you for the video!
