And considering they can often perform better than the original says something too. At the end of the day, the driving engagement and experience is what matters the most with a car (and I think this is especially prevalent when an original cannot be driven at all.)

Yeah, the stance is a little wonky but I can overlook that when considering the entire package. This car doesn't need a stereo. It makes it'ss own music. Excellent video, brother.

Ain't nothin' wrong with the look of that stance, if ya know why it's that way. Because the suspension set-up including that stance is perfect for wide-open throttle, whether it be a dig/launch off the line at the drag strip or coming off a turn & laying into it for a long high-speed straight-away, the Corvette squat is damned hard to beat.

I would love to see a REAL Grand Sport replica with a period correct engine package, since the LS platform wasn't even thought of yet. The engines don't sound the same because the firing orders and engine architecture are different. If this builder is truly talented, build a period correct engine and listen to the difference. Because a 377 cubic inch Small Block Chevy sounds WAY BETTER than a fuel injected LS.

ALL i know is if they say yes....these dudes work hard or EARN hard...and are no joke if theyre getting work done by them. Kinda ppl to pick the brains of and pick up some GAME on...if you ever want something this spectacular. 408 stroker LS....but not 8:47...overly stroked XD see i was wondering these things myself once i heard 408...or how high it revs or where the 400+ comes into the powerband....but now that i know its not over stroked....im more interested in how DEEP the torque curve is and the figures on that end given the cars weight/tune. W.O crucial exits or epic straights....idk if the "uber" power figure range aspects even come into play vs how STREETABLE that near 500 HP is and how EPIC the torque curve appears to be as well. Thing looks like an absolute dream to own/drive as a street car and equally as a track focused endeavor. Or a car you could drive to the track with a "posse/team" to dial things in and bring extra sets of rubber. Id love to see this in the laguna seca classic run if it happened or happens to make a go of things there.

Hi I was wondering why do you like this car better than the other transports that you drove with the LS3 , the mercury 7 liter and the Lt4? also was there any change in the steering feel with this car or anything else that made it stand out to you....thank you!

Its all personal preference. Electric steering for me is a negative lose some road feel...and one more thing to rely on that eventually goes bad

Cool car. Seems like the rear has a lot of squat under acceleration, lightens the front. Not sure if this is best for road course (racing). I could be wrong.....

If they got rid of the holes in the back and gave it pop up headlights that thing would be pretty friggin awesome. EDIT: I see what they did it now, for the history. Ok, I get it.

They did an amazing job building that car. Classic vintage, with just the right modern tricks to make that car an everyday/track driver.
I would never want to stop driving that car. I could get in, gas it up, have a pocket full of cash and being that I live in Los Angeles, I could jump on either the beginning of the 10 Freeway in Santa Monica and drive to Florida, or at that same spot Pacific Coast Highway also is where the 10 starts its Eastbound run but PCH goes either North or South along the California coast and I'd end up in Baja California, Mexico, in about 2½ hours or the other direction I'd end up at the Oregon State line in about 14 hours. I'd be happy either way.

@@gordocarbo --- I've made that drive hundreds of times, no exaggeration. Sometimes, coast up and then back or 101 up and coast back or coast up to Sam Marcos Pass through the mountains. Besides growing up a mile from the beach in LA near LAX, and surfing upband down the coast, my dad lived in Lompoc for a couple of years and my best friends family had moved to Santa Maria when we were in Jr high so I would be driving up there all the time. Then I moved to the Bay Area for 17 yrs and I would take 101 once in a while but usually the 5 because it was faster.
Back in the day, in the mid late 1980s sometimes myself and a buddy or two would be bored on a Friday or Saturday night and we would get a bottle of Jack and a bottle of Coke some ice and cups as well as some weed and maybe some other stuff to keep us awake and we'd just get in the car and drive up PCH partying until we ran out of booze or needed gas usually Ventura or Oxnard or sometimes Rincon Carpenteria, we didn't like getting to Santa Barbara that was when the freeway ended and you were on the main street in town and always too much traffic and too many cops.
      Those were the days.

@@13_13k Wow, carbon copy of the same life I led lol.

Yep, the politicians have been destroying everything and letting the people who have no class and no respect for themselves or anyone else go unpunished for trashing everything and all the crime.
I was no angel and still not but being someone who breaks some laws to make some money by selling weed and other things isn't the same as robbing people and businesses, carjacking, turning your neighborhood into war zones with burnt up cars and garbage all over.
It is sad to see our neighborhoods going to shit. I've watched the beaches where I grew up next to LAX go from safe and clean you could walk at night to not being able to go to the state beach where there are fire pits because you'll be putting your life on the line because the gangsters and fools that go there.
