    I’m a region 1 Sacramento driver, they’re always hiring. Because we are a relay yard between red bluff and McCarran.

    I watched your breakdown video of the pay. Also I’m currently in the on boarding process for Walmart. I’m having a hard time deciding if I should continue with it. I bring home $1,300-$1,500 a week now and I’m home daily. Really tough decision.

      As I mentioned to someone else that pay video is very old I think we just got the new pay. I was also still somewhat new and we also got another raised just last month so that pay is very outdated. I would say play the average driver that makes the 110000 a year gross brings home about $500 a week more than what you're. Making right now. Also you gotta realize when you're looking at pay. Look at the gross not the take home because I have More deductions taken out of my Check for 41K. I may have a different insurance than you. There's a light. I mean even have set my frederical duction differently than what you will so looking at take home is not a fair comparison because everyone has different deductions. Set differently. So look at this way you're going to make a bottle a 110000 men. Maybe you're first year you'll make a 100 to 105 gross. What do you making gross right now? Compare. Gross? Numbers not take home.

      At the time I was bringing home about 1,500 a week while hauling fuel locally for Love’s. Now being in a sleeper my checks are $3,000 before taxes, $2,000-$2,200 after taxes and benefits. I’m on track to make $140,000 this year working for Gemini/Loves. I only sleep in the truck Monday-Thursday. I get home Friday and I’m off every weekend. At the time Walmart was still slip seating and doing the bad phone policy. So I’m glad I got into tankers and hazmat. I believe Walmart has started trying to get guys their own trucks and has loosened their phone policy.

      Not everyone wants to stand in the weather or babysit hoses. Walmart isn't for everyone. We have lots of fuel haulers apply to Walmart.
      I had my own truck 3 years ago.
      The phone policy was relaxed 4 years ago.
      Maybe it's the less stress, carrer advancement, or the benefits..idk. everyone has thier own wants and needs. Glad you found what works for you.

    What's up with the new cattle or beef and milk plants? Wmt getting rid of outside carrier crossdock companies and sharing their terminals at their wmt dcs? Heard some pay opportunities went away for drivers?

    • @WalmartRich
      @WalmartRich  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have heard walmart is removing outside carriers from everywhere possible. Not heard of any pay changes

    Rich, I currently live in the Indianapolis area and it sounds like there are opportunities to drive for Walmart in the region. I have a passion for transportation and driving and it seems Walmart would be a good fit. My only problem are the qualifications, I am a recent graduate with a BS in business management and currently oversee operations as an assistant store manager for a big box retailer, however I do not have a CDL nor any experience behind the wheel of semi. If this is something I want to pursue what do you think is my path of least resistance?

    • @WalmartRich
      @WalmartRich  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As far as I know your only course of action would be to get a CDL A and get 30 months experience. Sorry
