That Sarto might be one of the coolest bikes in the world. The story behind it, the parts selected and that incredible color. I've seen Giles's story pop up on TH-cam multiple times (Cade Media) and every time I am just smiling from ear to ear at how cool the story and the result is. Happy Riding Giles!
The way James's face lights up when he gets acknowledgement from Giles about the fit is what it's all about. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
Incredible, how extremely eye opening and inspiring to watch the process unfold for Giles and James. Rewards for all here and so much great information. All the touch points targeted and really dialed in. Finding the right fitter is everything! Kudos James, Giles is looking fantastic on his Sarto! Boy can climb! Go Giles! Seriously hit me with this one. Keep it coming @bikefitjames!
I am following James from first videos on Cade Media, I am very happy that you finally got your own channel. I was on bike fit twice on my city Lviv, Ukraine but unfortunately my experience was too far from your approach. Anyway, way to go with channel, and your fits!
Absolutely brilliant story….. I have a friend who has also been fitted by James and can’t say enough about the experience and the difference it has made to this cycling….. And I get the same feeling from Giles, and it’s great to see the passion and determination from James to get Giles on a bike that fits, brilliant work from all of you to make this dream/concept a reality Sarto good on you for making this frame, shows the quality of your work….. ❤
I think it is really nice to see James observe and think. Edited videos may give the impression that issues are instantly diagonosed, but that isn't necessarily the case. For those of us who don't have access to an efficient bike fiter, it would be nice to learn more about the framework of troubleshooting issues on the bike, like see what kind of mental check list James has for instance.
Wow Sarto and Lake did an amazing job with this frame, fork and shoes for Giles.. and such a cool guy.. great to see James so excited to talk about this bike and process with Giles. Fellow Lake and Selle user here and they are brilliant.. 😊 Pete 💪🚴🏻👍
Thanks for making this video. Your extensive knowledge of bike fitting is a huge help. Cant wait to see what you film next. Giles looks at his bike with smile like he is a kid again.. That is so cool..
He's a smart guy is Giles, comes across in the film too, doesn't surprise me that he has achieved so much. We're all different, interesting to see the changes needed on the bike.
That is one super cool looking bike and set up. People who don't ride bikes don't understand the pure joy you can get as a rider when everything just clicks and your bike ticks all the boxes. Fits like a glove, handles so well you feel at one with it and you think you can do anything and rides so smooth you think you can go forever. Go man! Thrash it and enjoy every second :)
happy you started your own channel! can you do an updated bike saddle video? torn between SLR S3 or L3 at 125mm ishial width (even though that may not matter much) I ride in an aggressive position but cannot choose! thanks
Giles is really likeable and great on camera, would love to see him back on the channel (although hopefully with no more bikefit problems), maybe something on Cade Media?
The leg stroke looks kind of extreme on him to my eye. Were shorter cranks tried? (Croder Spirit cranks are available down to 140mm length, compatible with many chainrings and power meters). Also, with this short body I'd consider building a RWD recumbent bike (so much more aero) where the cranks are between the wheel. This guy is born to be a fast recumbent rider, I'd say 👍 (@XACDtitaniumbike here on YT build custom titanium frames in all kinds of geometries)
Doesn't he have a bar too narrow, he's elbows and wrist all bent. Yes I noticed that the top of the stroke was not perfect, it seemed that he was avoiding hitting the torso at the top of the stroke.

I don’t see a guy with Dwarfism , I see a beat of a cyclist on a lush looking set of wheels !!! Nice 👌🏻

Love this, you can tell how chuffed and proud you both are 👏🏻
This has the potential to open up cycling to a group of people who may have thought cycling was inaccessible to them ❤

That video is such a good advert for Sarto. …very cool bike! Congratulations all round!
Every single thing about this is fantastic. Congratulations to you both.

Great seeing the follow-up bike fit adjustments, would be interesting to see the new results.
Love to see both of you so genuinely happy with the bike and James' work.
Man, company like Lake and Sarto sure are a godsend. ❤
Awesome video of the process and the result. He looks smooth on the bike too, well deserved cool bike.
I love everything about this story.
That is 100% a cool bike. Well done. Love your videos. It’s great to see you can make a difference in someone’s pleasure of riding.
Awesome Fantastic job for Giles James. Well done man

No limits for bike fitting. Great to see it! 👍
Ever since this was mentioned on bikefit Tuesday way back when we’ve been waiting for this video!!
Coolest bike ever!
Great video. You are definitely going to help so many cyclists with your knowledge 👍🇮🇪
I was telling my friend about Giles and his custom bike last week, then you go and drop this video.
He's a smart guy is Giles, comes across in the film too, doesn't surprise me that he has achieved so much.
We're all different, interesting to see the changes needed on the bike.
Always good, always informative.
James, no words for this, speracular job.👏👏👏👏

Awesome that we’ve got this man on a proper looking and proper riding bike …. He’s one of us 👍👍
Such a cool looking bike, those saddles certainly are popular.
Wonderful, and he rides like an absolute superstar 🎊 ❤
Great how Sarto was able to go with 700c wheels instead of 650b (and the previous frame builder could learn a few things).
Love the MiniMaap kit
great video and super knowledgeable

Thanks for the video. Enjoyed the conversation. What shoes is Giles wearing? Thanks
Lake CX242
@Bikefitjames out of interest, did you look into HUP evo 37 or Forme Calver 37? Kids racing sells many small crank, handlebar to fit their HUP range
James you often put people on Selle Italia slr saddle. Which size the s or l width?
Valeu!
Why not 650 wheels? I think that would be perfect for this application
Doesn't he have a bar too narrow, he's elbows and wrist all bent.

👍
Not sure why this is more rewarding than a bike fit for an overweight MAMIL, but to each their own! 🙂
