Creed Erolfa vs Millesime Imperial

Two popular marine scents from Creed, perfect for summer - but which should you buy?
Short answer is, for most people, Millesime Imperial is a safer choice, more pleasant overall, but it is also more simplistic and linear. Compared to Erolfa, it is fruitier, sweeter, more watery and refreshing, but there is a hefty iris note that can create a bit of a feminine makeup vibe. Erolfa, on the other hand, is actually a spice and herb bomb with both bitter and musky qualities. It does remind you of the salty sea breeze, but less so than Millesime Imperial. In fact, when you smell Erolfa directly after smelling MI, it smells like an Indian spice! (perhaps because of the note of cumin). Think more Green Irish Tweed when you think about whether you will like Erolfa.

Thanks for very detailed description! 11 minutes devoted to scente, while other blogers spend more time on unboxing/presentation etc. and very few on fragrance itself.

I think Erolfa is more of a masculine citrus blast whereas MI is more aquatic and overbearing. For hot weather; Erolfa is better in my opinion. If i apply MI more than 3-4 spritz it makes me nauseous.

These two are very good, enjoy both very much. MI Is my favorite cologne smell of all the ones I own, period. Wish it lasted a lot longer than it does, though. 👍

Are there any fragrances besides other Creeds that have a similar style and quality as Erolfa that you could recommend to me? The only one I have been able to find so far is Loumari Porthole. I'm thinking fresh juicy citrus and fruits without being too herbal , spicy, feminine, or powdery.

MI is my favorite scent from Creed. Erolfa is good, but MI is more magical. fantastic video and comparison btw

Great video my friend and you are spot on. Personally, Erolfa doesn't remind me of the beach at all. And if I had to compare it with another Creed fragrance, it would be Himalaya. A more minty Himalaya. Erolfa is more of a fall or spring scent. MI is definitely for summer. Subscribed.

Yes I think so, people said it’s an aquatic fragrance, but I don’t get this aquatic feel, it leans to a floral fragrance, and it’s not good for hot weather.

Not watched your reviews before, so apologies for that, but what I can say is this; your review is very descriptive, akin to drawing a canvas that you are seeing in your mind's eye and trying to relate the viewer to that canvas, and you do a bloody good job pf it, I'm actually sat here with Melliseme on my right arm layered with a bit of ISO E Super to see if it will project more without bastardising the smell, so far so good, but at the same time I'm smelling exactly what you're describing, it's almost like a live commentary of what's going on in my head, so I'm extremely impressed, keep up the great work :)

Personally I’d prefered an EROLFA more than MI. I mean we doesn’t need a watermelon or fruity scent overall the hot weather, does it? (Esp. in my country with such a hot weather) On summer, I’d actually prefer more a fresh, aquatic scent.
But for the long lasting solution, buy an older batch of MI. It’s decrease some fruity note but add some more component in which remind me of EROLFA in mixed.

I didn't like the feminine aspect of Millesime Imperial but think Erolfa is the best smelling fragrance I have smelled so far, with Virgin Island Water a close second or almost even.
